    Brother Earl,

I very much enjoy reading your posts. Thank you kindly for your replies. It is a Blessing to be able to converse with you on things like this.

First I will start by saying exactly what shall happen is all up to God, and His Will, as you know. In reality I don't believe any of us can perceive how deep the thoughts, and plans, of God truly are. One day when we return to Him, after our physical death, then we shall know things not known in earth. Ecclesiastes 12:7.

As I'm still not positive if that you perceive ALL to be saved in the end but that's what I think.

If it is God's will that all shall be saved then I'm all for that. For His Will shall be done and whatever that is is what I want also. Though I have so many Scriptures that pertain to things like "the unsaved being cast into eternal damnation, it being better that Judas Iscariot was not even born, things of Heaven(which I believe to be the Spiritual Kingdom of God), our names written in the book of Life, that not everyone's name shall be written in this book, etc." Also of things like you stated how the wisdom of God shall fill the earth. Habakkuk 2:14.

I believe, from my aspect, that all have the choice and chance to be saved by God. His mercy and forgiveness is everlasting. No matter what we have done in our lives. Though it doesn't seem all choose that path or will be with the Lord for eternity. As even angels have sinned and turned against God.

I will just post all the Scriptures I have that I see these things in. As no man taught me about the Lord. God lead me to Jesus Christ who saved me.

    About Judas Matthew 26:24.

    Not all making it to Heaven Matthew 7:21-23, Matthew 25:41, Matthew 25:46, Matthew 13:37-43, Matthew 13:47-50, Revelation 20:15, Revelation 21:7-8, Revelation 22:14-15, 2 Peter 2:1-9, 2 Peter 2:17,

    Hello,

As I know a lot of people use this today, one jot of a verse, to keep others from telling them what is right and wrong. I definitely believe in not condemning anyone as only God knows who exactly shall be saved in the end. Though we must speak the truth to help lead others to the Lord.

With judging, right from wrong, it is taught to not judge as a hypocrite. Clean up yourself before going out and showing others right from wrong. Using righteous judgement.

Here are just a couple verses I will leave.

I think I know who I am replying to but I'm not sure. Please do not take anything I said the wrong way. It is from the heart.

    Habakkuk 2:7-17

    In more detail:

Chapter 2 from verse 2 onwards is framed as The Lord's Answer to Habakkuk.

I have read various commentaries but am still confused by this passage. Does it refer to Babylon or Jerusalem? The commentaries all to seem to casually assumed that it is Babylon that is being referred to. The words of the Lord begin by referring to Babylon in the third person. Then from verse 7 the second person is used.

Given that the Lord has just explained in the previous chapter that he going to raise up Babylon as a weapon against Jerusalem - it would make sense that 2:7-17 is an explanation of why and that therefore it is Jeruasalem that is going to receive a drubbing. And indeed that turns out to be the case:

Habakkuk prophesied in the southern kingdom of Judah at some time around the battle of Carchemish (605 BC). This battle, which resulted in the total defeat of the Egyptian armies, marked the end of any serious resistance to the Babylonian advances in the region. It was not long before Judah found herself under threat from Babylon - a threat that would lead to an attack on Jerusalem and partial deportation of its inhabitants in 597 BC, and a final onslaught in 588, eventually leading to the fall of the city and deportation of most of its population in 586 BC. The text of the book itself does not allow us to date the prophecy with any great precision.

McGrath, Alister. NIV Bible Handbook . John Murray Press. Kindle Edition.

So why the assumption that the Lord was referring to Babylon in 2:7-17?

    I Corinthians chapters 12-14

The Holy Spirit now in operation on earth since the day of Pentecost (book of Acts).

Jesus ascended to sit at the right hand of God; He delegated gift giving to the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit gives the gifts of the Spirit, as He wills. He is the Spirit of Jesus Christ, on earth, now.

If it's in the New Testament, then it is New Testament living for now till Jesus comes back. This is a new and better Covenant. Each born again Christian is indwelled by the Holy Spirit. "Know ye not you are the Temple of the living God?"

If we don't read our Bibles beyond, Psalm 23, 1 John 1:9, Psalm 51 or Genesis; Matthew 25:29-46, we'll miss seeing the Ministry Gifts.

The whole of the purpose of the Cross was to strip Satan of his power he stole from Adam; Ratify the New Covenant with His Blood. To deliver the Holy Spirit to the New Testament Church

(Pentecost). Jesus would then be in every born again believers, spirit. Fulfill all outstanding Prophesy; start writing the New Testament down

If we are skittish about Tongues, the Holy Spirit knows that. He's in us. We're the temple. Scripture says to desire the best gifts or operations, like: government, hospitality, missions, and more, like ministry gifts=prophets, teachers, pastors, evangelists, apostles. Etc. It's written.

New Testament disciples and believers were saying things like, I follow Peter or Paul and others. It was new and that's how people think to identify. Herd mentality.

    Habakkuk 2:2

And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon table ,so that he may run that readeth it. (They didn't have paper notebooks then, or personal Bibles!)

You will find your identity in the pages of your Bible. I've said that for 36 years. Jesus will help us understand our particular equippings. He hasn't told me to scratch that one out and move along; so, it still stands as Rhema. Google that word...

    Believe Jesus's words. Bible.

Deuteronomy 18:21,22: "And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken

When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him."

This was part of the many instructions & warnings that God gave to Israel through Moses & it was very important for them to be aware of this evil which they would witness in their journeyings & when they finally settled in their allocated territories. God spoke to His people through His leaders, like Moses & also through His prophets. Even till the formation of the Church after Christ's resurrection, there were prophetical utterances & I believe these largely ceased after the Word of God was completed which revealed God's Mind to us, His Church. I don't say that no one now has not the gift of Prophecy, but I've never heard anything resembling it, rather simply an affirmation of what is already declared (this is not prophecy, but preaching or exhortation from the Word).

Yet, prophets abound: the cults all have one as their founder (& their prophets have failed) & even now amongst believers, we will get some prophetical utterance about the future. After the recent U.S elections, these prophets were all busy making great claims of God's speaking directly to them about the future outcome of the elections & other prophecies. I will let you discern of what sort these people were & the claims they made. I don't believe we have anything left to be revealed after the closure of the Scriptures. We can observe world events & see prophecies in the Word being fulfilled, but has there been anything new to come out that even aligns with the revealed Word? I may have missed it, but I don't think so.

So don't be troubled by what you see on TV, etc. There will always be those who will make many claims - search the Word of God to establish yourself.

This is why it is so important to read our bible KJV on a daily basis, starting with the NT, because when we read the bible, it brings forth a message of mercy, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, and so on, these are the fruits of the Spirit, this is some of the messaging that you should hear when listening to anyone, let alone a so called prophet, if you don't, don't follow him. not promoting anyone, but I like to listen to Billy Graham on y tube on a regular basis, he was a man that would quote scripture and then go on to explain it in a very simple way. Galatians chapter 5 is a good read where Paul explains the fruits of the flesh and the fruits of the Spirit, that should help answer your question, but read the entire NT. I hope this helps you in your journey

1 John 4:1 "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."

Galatians 5:17 "For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would."

What they say should line up with what the bible says. If they speak against the word of God then they aren't of God. There are false prophets, and to know the difference between the 2 you need to know God's word.

Comments by Alex about Solomon meaning Comforter in Hebrew . In 2 nd Samuel 12 : 24 David wanted to COMFORT bathsheba and went in to lay with her and she bear a son and called his NAME SOLOMON Which means COMFORTER IN HEBREW . And Jesus also refers to the H.G. AS THE COMFORTER SEVERAL TIMES . SOLOMON was the 3 rd person of the Davidic kingdom just as the H.G. is the 3 rd person in the heavenly Kingdom. Nathan told David that a very special son wd come out of his loins that wd reign over the house of Israel forever. WHICH WAS SOLOMON, it was prohetic that a very special son wd come out of the loins of CHRIST which is the H.G. the COMFORTER, When Jesus breathe on them the H.G. came out of his loins ( his seed ) which was his breath his living WORD , his breath was his WORD his good seed. And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet." ( Romans 1:26-27)
  • The Soul of the Unborn - In Reply on Habakkuk 2:9 - 4 years ago
I'm not sure just what you are asking. If it is about human conception and when the soul enters the unborn child's body? These are some scriptures. To me it looks like when the ovum and the sperm meet.

    Psalm 139

13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.

14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

15 My substance was NOT hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and IN THY BOOK, all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

    Psalms Chapter 127

3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb IS HIS REWARD.

Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, [and] I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

    Matthew 18:10

Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 18:14. Even so IT IS NOT the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish (die).

Job 12:10. In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.

    Ezekiel 18:4

Behold, all souls are MINE, as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

If this isn't helpful, write back again.

God's prophets, as Habakkuk was, received God's Messages to them or for the people in various ways. Here we see that Habakkuk received a vision (i.e. it wasn't in a dream, but a vivid portrayal of what was to come before his eyes). He was instructed to not just regurgitate the vision by word to others but he was to write it down on tables (or, tablets which could be of hardy material such as stone or wood), & to write it legibly (i.e. using clear large characters), so that those reading it may read it correctly & become so disturbed & horrified by this prophecy, that they go in haste to proclaim this news.

And verse 3 is important: this prophecy was yet to be fulfilled at a much later time but when that time arrives, it would be fulfilled to the letter. And even if might seem a long time in being fulfilled, the command was to be patient & wait for it, as what the Lord ordains will happen. And of course, the prophecy was given because of Judah's many sins & idolatrous ways, resulting in the forthcoming captivity by Nebuchadnezzar's invasion & taking them prisoners to Babylon. Even similar prophecies have been given from time to time as God always sends out His warning by the prophets to His people. But the people never change & so they suffered greatly under His Hand.

Nothing is hopeless. Ezekiel 37, ONE Prophet of God, listened to God; believed Him; did what God said to do.

Even now, one person can stand up to Dead Apathy; and prophesy in the Name and The Power of the Blood of Jesus____to the dead bones in Sweden.

Your FAITH in God starts the shaking. The Holy Spirit makes the Bones stand up.

If revival is in your heart, it's there for a reason. God is looking for one person to take His WORD seriously. Don't let the nay-sayers grouch that it's "Old Testament".

Ezekial 37: It's written down for us to see it. Habakkuk 2:1-4, "that he may run that reads it"...

If the Lord places revival in your heart, that is your work. It's lonely but if that fire burns hot within your heart, run with it. You speak to the dry dead bones of revival.

Jesus sits at the right hand of God, right now, interceding for ALL SAINTS.

Write the vision down...in the Bible. The Bible is alive, written on the flesh of our hearts. If others with the same burden want to join you to pray for revival, let it be.

Commit your works to the Lord.

    Psalm 69:9, 69:13

You're the 1st person I've heard say they want to see a revival in their nation. May the Lord bless you. I agree with you for revival in Sweden.
