Actually the Bible does say that. When Jesus warned his disciples not to sin, his disciples were Christians, which are people who follow Christ, and they did that even literally. John 14:15 - if you love Jesus keep his commandments avoid sin . Blasphemy is a sin that is unforgivable. Following Jesus requires action and obedience. Grace is not a license to justify sin.

No where in Scripture does it say we continue to Sin untill we die if we are Born Again of God's Seed He tells us to Work out our Salvation not meaning work for it to put our Carnal flesh to death by The Holy Spirit Romans 8:15- 2Tim2:19-21- Colossians 3:4-6 to be Perfect like He is Matthew 5:48 - Hebrews 6:1 We will No longer Sin 1John 3 and -5:18-20-2:28-29-Jn8:34-36 Rom6and8 Danial12:10and more.

It looks as though you didn't read 10. I give you verses 26,27,28,29,30. Your the one that does the plucking. You have not read Romans 1 The one thing that God will not accept is sin in a Christians life. You are walking on very thin ice. It may help to read Revelation 2, 3 the whole chapters. Who and what was Christ tempted with? Little pieces of Gods word Read about the reprobate mine

Dear Irritated, Your outlook on 'life' seems hopeless. As Christians, we don't have to live life wandering if God will save us everyday. If you have trusted the LORD Jesus Christ as your Savior, the work has already been done. Jesus said right before he died on the Cross, "It is finished" John 19:30 and also "neither shall any pluck them out of my hand" John 28:10. Be secure in Christ my friend.

Who believes on Jesus dying on the cross his burial and God raising Him from the dead? Christians, satan and others. Others being the ones not knowing what to do with this fact. Repent on your face praying before God through Jesus Christ. If we don't die the next second we better be willing to do it every day for the rest of our lives. We do make mistakes Romans 1 Are we to proud to pray and repent? Try that and see how it works out. My look on life.

Compare verses 36-39 to Hab. In Hab. 2:4, it says, Behold his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him, but the just shall live by his faith." After it is clearly a depiction of that Scripture in the OT, Hebrews here in vs.38 says Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition, but of them that beleive to the saving of the soul." Perdition is used in 2nd Thess. verse 2 ch 3 about the man of perdition, who shall come before the LORD comes. I declare that the man of sin is me and is not to deceive the unbelievers, but to have deceived the Christians, for God loves everybody.See Rom11:32

Yes you can. There is no limit to the sins you can be forgiven of if you genuinely repent, obey, and follow Jesus. However, it says blasphemy is not forgiven and if a Christian turns away from Christ. Hebrews 10:26. John 14:15. Remember Paul wrote more New Testament books than anyone else and perhaps made a bigger impact than anyone in spreading Christianity, but he used to murder Christians. He was forgiven.
  • Adam - In Reply - 5 years ago
Hi Stan, I'd be interested in how that belief reconciles with Hebrews 6:4-6, Hebrews 10:26, Matthew 12:31 that warns Christians against following away and blasphemy. Do you believe Christians who use their freewill to denounce Jesus and follow satan, commit mass murder, and commit blasphemy will still be saved?
  • Adam - In Reply on Hebrews 6 - 5 years ago
You can have confidence in salvation, follow Jesus and be obedient at the same time. It's a false assumption to assume that just because the Bible is true about losing your salvation in Hebrews 10:26 that a Christ follow must live in fear? No, if you're following Christ in obedience you have freedom. Matthew 10:28, John 14:15, Matthew 12:31-32, Matthew 7:21. I believe what the Bible says. Hitler would go to heaven according to your once saved always saved belief.
  • Adam - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 5 years ago
Hebrews 10:26-29 says otherwise along with other scriptures like Matthew 12:31 that clearly say this sin is unforgivable. That doesn't mean you can do that sin and be forgiven. To believe that would mean to ignore Jesus's words. I think many believe they don't have to obey and can follow the world once they believe they're saved as an excuse to sin, despite John 14:15. Love God keep His commands

Hebrews 10:20 " thru the veil that is his flesh ". The Temple veil kept Adam's race out. Even the priest must divest himself of High Priest garments before entering with blood. Now we, who are 'thrust' into Jesus Christ the Last Adam , into His 'death burial and resurrection' Rom 6 and I Cor. 15 , we now enter the 'Holiest' where God communes above the Mercy Seat between the two Golden Cherubs.
  • Adam - In Reply on Genesis 9 - 5 years ago
I referenced scripture literally and you claimed I was 'playing with words'. Actually you were closer to doing that by typing "is the same as saying..." and adding other things. Hebrews 10:17 says "And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more." Terrence asked "Does God forget?" and you answered "No." which in my opinion is not what Hebrews 10:17 says.
  • Adam - In Reply on Genesis 9 - 5 years ago
I have a different opinion of this. Of course God is all knowing, omniscient 1 John 3:20 , but the Word also says that God will remember our sins no more Hebrews 10:17 . I believe God has the power to 'forget' something. If you don't believe it then you don't believe God is powerful enough to do that? Other scripture says God changed his mind so he has this ability. He's God.

Hebrews 10:24-25. There are no perfect churches, because it's made up of imperfect people, but what better place for imperfect people to go- if they didn't go, maybe they'd display even more flaws, and maybe no one would even go to church anymore. There will always be a few difficult people, just like any non-church group, but they don't represent the whole. It's also ok to change churches too.
  • Adam - In Reply - 5 years ago
You can call and ask your local churches. They will likely encourage you to attend their church or somewhere to be part of the Christian community. Each church treats membership differently, some you never need to 'join' but just show up and you're a member. Others may have a short process to join. Hebrews 10:25

Paul, inspired by God, exclaimed in 1st, Cor. 15:1-4 that salvation, during this grace age, is based solely on the lost believing the facts of Jesus death on the cross, His burial, and His resurrection. This is more than head knowledge this is in the heart. Only belief in these facts saves you. Not prayer, not baptism, not repentance, simply believe, period.

Hebrews 10 is the answer. Hebrews 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Being born again is by blood and water. Where do we get this blood and water ? You have to cut yourself and mix the blood with water Jn 6 : 53 1 Jn 5:6 an effort that is scarce or is with difficulty 1 Pet. 4 : 17, 18. So we are in straits till it is accomplished Luke 12 : 50 Every person has the blood in his of her body that was on the cross 2000 years ago. 1 Cor. 6 : 19. Then fast till its done.

Hebrews 10:26 The savior's sacrifice only comes in place when you DO NOT willfully did not know sin, but when you do know right from wrong what is law , and you WILLFULLY transgress the law sin anyway, his sacrifice will not be used for that sin, and you must repent, and get it right before you die or earth ends, before judgement. Mat. 5:17 fullied his sacrifice. Act 3:18.
  • Paul - In Reply on Leviticus 26 - 5 years ago
Transgression of the law is always an issue 1 john 3:4. You are to do his commandments to the best of your willful ability, and also accept Yahawasha as your savior and mediator collosians 3:17, Heb. 9:15. The messiah ended practicing the law of sacrifice. Hebrews 10:10-12. You will be judged after your death, and the earth's, and it will be based on your faith AND works.
  • Diamond - In Reply on Leviticus 26 - 5 years ago
Also you're misquoting the context of Hebrews 10:26. There remains no more sacrifice for sins because Jesus paid for our sins in full, Hebrews 10 9-19. So how can one sacrifice for a sin that has already been sacrificed for. That's like paying on your car note when its already paid in full. Their willful sin is turning from the blood back to sacrifices and their own works.
  • Diamond - In Reply on Leviticus 26 - 5 years ago
Yes he did! To say otherwise is not to believe in Him as the Messiah. Romans 3 25-28, Romans 3 22-24, John 1 29, 1 John 2 2, Rev 1 5, Hebrews 9 14, etc! You are in danger of Hebrews 10:29. The new Hebrew believers wanted to go back to works and doubted on the covering of Jesus's blood. The debt of our sins are gone forever. Only chastisement and loss of rewards are left for sinning believers.

The blood of animals could not forgive sins. Was only a shadow of what was to come. God’s Spotless, Sinless, LAMB of God, was the Ultimate Sacrufice: HE DID IT ONCE AND FOR ALL:
He came in the Volume of the Book it was WRITTEN OF HIM. HE IS THE WRITTEN WORD: He came to do His Father GOD, WILL! What OBEDIENCE! EVEN THE DEATH ON THE CROSS: No wonder JESUS said, TO OBEY IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE

Hebrews 10:35. Do not, therefore, abandon that confidence of yours; it brings a great reward. THIS chapter reflects STRENGTH. Our Strengths may seem many. Everyday responsibilities to earthy life. However, we, as Christians, have understanding; TO connect each day with GOD to "recharge " OUR Spiritual awareness. This, then, reflects peace, as well as understanding to others so they will follow.
