I find that the mystery is for beyond our understanding. I know we acknowledge John 3:16 to be our salvation, but Genesis 1:26 fits well with this being the holy trinity

I found Hebrews 1,2 to paint a clear picture of who Jesus is and his role. He is the Son of God. It speaks about how he had to come down to earth as a human so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest over God's children. He had to suffer to know how to rescue us who suffer. So Jesus wouldn't be almighty God, but he is appointed as God to be King over his kingdom. He was trained.

Psalms 8:5 and Hebrews 2:7 answers this. Jesus in human form was a little lower than angels, so same is true for other human beings. So, angels are superior.

Angels were created by God and given free choice to sin or not, Hebrews 2:7 we are created by God just a little lower than the angels and also have been given free choice to sin or not.

wow, the commentary by Henry for this chapter is very sobering. this book very well describes Jesus as the anchor of our souls. the first few verses remind us to be thankful for salvation and to hold onto it with all our strength. Also, the reminder that we have been bought for a price.

Just because someone is encouraging others in righteousness does NOT mean they don’t repent or get the plank out of their own eye first. Righteousness is still right, and sin not only separates us from God, but does lead to death.
1 John 3:15 15Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.

He took not on himself the seed of angels ( the lesser glory ) but the seed of Abraham the greater Glory as Abraham was a type of God the father that offered up his only son God almighty told Abraham i am thy great and exceeding reward thus the true heavenly seed of Abraham IS God Almighty. ITS NOT ABOUT CHRIST TAKING ON THE SEED OF TH JEWS AS JESUS SAID B/F ABRAHAM WAS I AM. JEWS MUST BE BORNAGIN

What Christ did to gives us Victory over our enemy death is to be received by surrendering to the perfect will of God in our heart, soul, mind, body, and strength to live Holiness unto the Lord which death hath no part of but eternal life will be the fruit of our labours.

Verse 18~Jesus himself dealt with being tempted by Satan shortly after his baptism. He can sympathize with us when we are tempted and he shows the way to come off victorious.

servant (cont.) The Born From Above are passed from death to life, from the power of Satan unto GOD. Remember how Cain's countenance fell, and he became so angry that he killed his brother? Because his own works were evil, and he was not respected by God because of HIS HYPOCRISY AND FALSENESS OF CHARACTER! It wasn't Abel who was the liar and the hypocrite! It was the one who despised the Saviour!

servant; however, contrary to the 'holier than thou' Pharisee, who wouldn't repent himself, but could only go about as an adversary and accuser of the Lord and His disciples; it was the sinners, the tax gatherers and the harlots, who repented and became disciples, who were justified in God's sight. Better look to the beam in one's own eye first!

Paul here quoting psalms and making the argument that born again hang their hat on that Jesus saved us from sin in the flesh by destroying the devil who is the fear of death. But the devil still holds sway on planet earth and born again are like the pharasee holding fast to false arguements that there salvation is assured no matter how hypocritical they show themsevles to be. God has no respect!

Revelations 20:15 /--- hast redeemed us to God by thy blood--- Revelations 5:9 / Neither is their salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Rom. 9:10 - "..... that if thy wilt confess ..... "; meaning of the word 'confess' in BIBLE dict. - "An open profession of faith." Jas. 2:14, 17, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26. The WHOLE Bible works together; not just certain verses taken out of context.
