Hold steadfast, those that wait on the Lord, shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. Meditate on Gods holy word day nite, weeping may endure for a nite, but joy comes in the morning. Faith is the key, when you are lined up with the rightousness of God. Let the world go, put all your trust in God, grab his hand, do not let go, repent and walk under his wings.
Since any house, however simple, must have a builder, then the far more complex universe, along with the vast varieties of life on earth, must also have had a builder. And since we acknowledge the existence of humans who invented devices such as airplanes, televisions, and computers, should we not also acknowledge the existence of the One who gave humans the brain to make such things? Yes, all glory and honor should go to Jehovah God.
We are definitely in the last days, and christians are ignoring the signs. We are too preoccupied with the things of the world, we all need to take a step back and re evaluate our relationship with our Father who has called
This is a race. The race is not given to the swift, but to the one who endures with patience and longsuffering to the end. Those who will hold out and overcome the world, through their faith in Christ Jesus. If we continue in the faith and hold onto Jesus, no matter the trials or tribulations and no matter what devices the devil tries to throw our way, we will be able to partake in the glory of God. He has promised to give a crown of life to them that love not the world, but His Son. We will share in the inheritance of the Kingdom of God with Christ. If we suffer with Him, we will reign with Him.
I am made a partaker of Christ That means to me that I am a part of Him I am a part of the Holy One Glory to God !!! All I have to do is hold on to the confidence that I will and am being transformed into His likeness from day to day and glory to glory . Can only be done in fellowshipping with Him and being in His word day to day. Glory to God I can 't ask for anything better !!!!
Dont forget that this book is written to Hebrews. Many of these verses can apply to the Christian today but this book will apply mainly to the HEBREWS in the tribulation. We are not Hebrews. They will have to endure to the end in the Tribulation see verse 6 THE END, see Ch 2 verse 5 THE WORLD TO COME, look at Ch 1 verse 2 IN THESE LAST DAYS. Look at Mt24.14 21 speaking of the Tribulation. The Hebrews or Jews in the tribulation will need to ENDURE but we christians have this Pauline doctrine to remember in 1COR 1 verse 8. Who shall alson confirm you UNTO THE END, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus CHrist. He is keeping me, I 'm not keeping Him see 1 Pt 1 verse 5.
the high calling requires standards. JESUS SAYS COME UNTO ME ALL YE THAT LABOUR AND ARE HEAVY LADEN AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST. TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU AND LEARN OF ME. TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU AND LEARN OF ME. TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU AND LEARN OF ME. TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU AND LEARN OF ME . JESUS IS THE HIGH CALLING HE PRAYED TO THE FATHER THAT HE WOULD SEND THE HOLY GHOST. the comforter JESUS SAYS MY YOKE IS EASY AND MY BURDEN IS LIGHT. JESUS PRAYED THAT THE FATHER WOULD SEND THE HOLY GHOST, THE COMFORTER. RECEIVE JESUS RECEIVE THE COMFORTER BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST.
I think Hebrews 3 Is helping us today to see what happens when we drift away from scripture The word the truth Believe Trust and have faith hope When we Get inpatient and try to solve our problems On our own without going to the Devine Father first in all things We are dishonoring Our creator Trust and love him His son died on the cross for us He gave his life for our salvation God bless the creator for all things
v7 is very heart touching.HolySpirit speaks all the time,and how bad it is to ignore his direction and voice,He is the Spirit of truth,if we harden our hearts we shall definetly slip into error,and never entre to GOD'S REST.
Thank you LORD for the encourgament. Thank you for bringing Christ into my like with the assurance of the Holy Spirit, and signs to help me stay full of faith!
Bless the LORD oh my soul!
Concerning vers 23
John Owen (1616-1683), the great Puritan church leader, academic administrator at the University of Oxford, theologian and commentator, in his massive commentary of the book of Hebrews quotes Hebrews 10:23 just as it stands in the King James Bible -"Let us hold fast the profession of our FAITH without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)" and then he comments: "Some copies read the “profession of our hope;” which the Vulgar follows, “the profession of the hope that is in us:” and so it may have a respect unto the exhortation used by the apostle, Hebrews 3:6. And it will come unto the same with our reading of it; for on our faith our hope is built, and is an eminent fruit thereof. Wherefore holding fast our hope, includes in it the holding fast of our faith, as the cause is in the effect, and the building in the foundation. But I prefer the other reading, as that which is more suited unto the design of the apostle, and his following discourse; and which his following confirmations of this exhortation do directly require, and which is the proper subject of our “profession.” “Faith” is here taken in both the principal acceptations of it, namely, that faith whereby we believe, and the faith or doctrine which we do believe. Of both which we make the same profession; of one as the inward principle, of the other as the outward rule."
6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; EPHESIANS 6
Throughout the bibical history we find that the hearts of men continue to be rebellious,so much in the time of Moses, that he was forced to strike the rock and uttered unkind words. This caused him to see the promised land,but could not put his feet on it. Exodus chap.28 also tells us that the rebllious people at the time caused Moses to ask God to send them another leader.The harts of men were hardened during the time of the Judges,the Kings,the Priests,the Prophets,the time of Jesus and the Apostles.It is not different today.With every dispensation the problem stems from the heart of man. Today the message is even much more needed as we can see that this dispensation is coming close to an end.The heart is not the literal (fleshy) heart,but it is the mind;the center of intellegence and reasoning.This is why the Apostle reminded us to have the mind of Christ.
The following Scripture texts will confirm my comments: Job 23;13,Isa.26:3, Luke 10:27, Roms,1:28,&8:7, 1st.Corh.2:16, 2nd Corth. 13:11,&2nd Tim.1:7.

This scripture is miss understood because translaters added the words (was it) and it change the meaning of it. God was saying that their unbelieve was what kept them from entering into the promise of God not their sins, God took care of their sins when He told them to put the blood of the lamb on their door poets.
@Tjy and Joseph,
Almost every English translation leaves out the phrase "to the things behind" from the Greek text. This is tragic, for it has much to do with why they "turned back." The book of Hebrews has much to say about returning in rebellion, unbelief and disobedience ( Hebrews 3:12-19) to the old ways, even to those things reckoned as beneficial according to the old life ( Philippians 3:1-7). The apostle Paul reminds us to completely forget (original text of Philippians 3:13) "the things behind"; in this case, all that were considered more desirable than the new life we have in Christ. It helps in illustrating what the writer of Hebrews 6 was aiming at, and to whom at that point he was addressing, i.e. the unbeliever who was in danger of "turning back" as those in John 6:66 and in Numbers 14. In the latter case, they entered not into the rest of God in the land promised them because of unbelief. "The things behind" must be left behind, and completely forgotten by those professing to have come to a knowledge of the truth in Christ.
So many of us harden our hearts toward each other, maybe a friend or family member said or did something to us and we stay mad for years and sometimes we forget why we are mad . We need to be more like the Lord, forgive like he forgave us .What if the Lord didn’t forgive us, where would we be? HELL for real.
Holding on our confidence steadfast unto the end is when we refuse to trust anyother thing except CHRIST.Provocation is when we see him suffering on the cross for our sakes and we decide that he did not do enough,we have to do more!That is why some did not make it to the promised land,and that is why some will still not make it in this new testament due to hardened hearts! Love not accepted will not work for the one to whom it is given, However wonderful it may be! We need Christ to go through life under his rest, otherwise it will be strife and death!
It is interesting to note that Jesus, having suffered extreme temptation to not go through with his mission to die on the cross--literally shedding great drops of blood because his nature is such that he can't even think a sinful thought--is just the opposite of what most of us do: we resist temptation to the point of being uncomfortable, then we give in to our sinful nature. We don't resist our sinfun natures. The Lord actually resisted his SINLESS nature and became sin for us. How incredible.
Bless the LORD oh my soul!
