Discuss Hebrews 5

Around 2000 years ago or much probably 67AD was written the book of Hebrews. Hebrews 6:1-3 say:

1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward GOD,

2 Of the doctrine of BAPTISMS, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal Judgment.

3 And this will we do, if GOD permit.

    Hebrews 5:12-14

12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of GOD; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the Word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Around 2000 years ago or much probably 60/65AD was written the book of Matthew. JESUS said: Matthew 24:14 and 32-35

14 - This Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in ALL THE WORLD for a witness unto ALL NATIONS; and then shall the END

come. (The TESTIMONY OF OUR LORD JESUS IS THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, UNDERSTAND? Revelation 19:10)

32 Now LEARN a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, KNOW THAT IT IS NEAR, even AT THE DOORS.

34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

    GET READY

    Philippians 3:20-21

20 For our conversation is in heaven(heaven? Ephesians 1:3-8); from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

21 Who shall CHANGE our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself.

The Word is GOD, GOD Himself, self-executing

    Hi GiGi, Richard

About perfectness. I think the Bible uses this word with various meanings

    1. Lets see as Richard says Matthew 5:48, "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.". Now the verb "be" in grk (esesthai) is in the future tense and denotes an expectation. So what Jesus is actually saying here (as I understand it) is that He expects us to become perfect like God is. Well this is impossible, isn't it? So what He means is that He expects us to strive to be like God (in character). And how is that to be done? By following His commandments, which commandments reveal the character of God to us. And since one aspect (and probably the most important) of God's character is love Jesus asks us to love each other like God does. This is something gradual, isn't it? It is something that we keep aquiring through our whole life.

If we compare it with Hebrews 5:8,9, "8Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;" Here Jesus iwas made perfect by obeying God's commandments.

So perfectness again here means a whole route/course that we follow in our lives during which, by following God's commandements/directions we keep growing spiritually and getting to be like God in character more and more.

    2. But in Hebrews 10:14, "For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified", the word perfect has a different meaning. It means the one who has no sins. So we were perfected by Jesus' Blood, that is we are righteous through His sacrifice.

    3. In Hebrews 11:38-40 says, "39And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:40God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect."

Here perfectness is something that we will aquire in Heaven when we will be dressed up with our new spiritual body, completely freed from sin, death etc

    Brother Ronald Whittemore:

    I agree with you.

Brother S Spencer is correct that from the beginning Christ was perfect, being the image of his Father.

But the word says he LAID DOWN that perfection and took on the form of sinful flesh.

He walked in that condition until he was BAPTISED by his Father, having the fullness of his Father's Spirit poured out on him.

Isaiah 11:3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord, and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, nor reprove after the hearing of his ears.

Job 25:4 How can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

Hebrews 5:1 For every high priest (the man Jesus Christ) taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins,

Hebrews 5:2 That he can have compassion on the ignorant, and them that are out of (I am) THE WAY; for that he himself is compassed with infirmity.

Psalms 5:3 By reason thereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.

Read Psalms 69, It's Christ speaking, this will open a whole new can of worms.

    God Bless You

    Shabbat Keeper:

I know the two resurrection you speak of, most believe what you believe.

The word speaks of Christ resurrection, then the resurrection of those who never believe that were raised with Christ.

Colossians 3:1 ... if ye be RISEN with Christ ....

Ephesians 2:6 .... and hath RAISED US us up together ....

Isaiah 26:19 .... TOGETHER with my dead body shall they ARISE ....

Hosea 6:2 ..... in the third day he will raise US UP .......

The saints that arose with Christ, were the Old Testament saints that had died in faith, but had never receive their promise of eternal life.

Those: in Revelation under the alter clothed in white are the Old saints awaiting their promise, eternal life, by their resurrection of Christ.

These are the 144,000 raised with Christ, the firstfruits of the resurrection.

Hebrews 11:39 And these all, havlng obtained a good report through faith, received not the PROMISE (eternal life).

Hebrews 11:40 Christ having provided some BETTER THING FOR US (never having to die and wait in the grave), that they WITHOUT US should not be made PERFECT (by our resurrection as one).

Hebrews 5:9 ...and having been made perfect .... by our resurrection as one ....

Philippians 3:15 Let us therefore who be perfect (by our resurrection as one), be thus minded: and if in any thing you be otherwise mined, God shall reveal even this to you.

    God Bless YOU!

    Friends,

There is no earn salvation, in being obedient to God commands.

Obedient does show our love for Him, according to Scrip

Believing, loving & obedience go hand in hand, it's the proof of having one of the other, aligns us with the whole of Scripture to all those who walk in the faith of Abraham James 2:18-24

    Titus 3:5

States to those who believe, there are works of righteousness to be done, that all may see & glorify our Father who is in heaven. Matt 5:16

Yet, it's not by these works that we are being saved, but by His Mercy, Who causes us by His Spirit influence upon our hearts to will & do of His good pleasure & His good pleasure is to love Him, become obedient, which shows itself forth as these works of righteousness.

1Pet 1:22 Seeing ye have purify your souls in obeying the Truth, states obedient purifies us by 1Pet 1:23 by hearing & becoming obedient to the incorruptible Word of God that lives & abides forever is how we become born again.

This is the working out of our salvation with fear & trembling, the sanctification of the Spirit unto obedience, stating the progressional work of "washing of regeneration & renewing in the Holy Spirit" bringing us unto obedience. & sprinkling of the Blood/Life of Jesus in our hearts that cleanses & purges out not only the sin, but the evil one from our heart, who influence us to sin.

Folks, the very essence of the Salvation is obedience, & one must learn obedience, eventually bringing us to become holy, blameless, unreproachable & acceptable in His Sight. Col 1:22

Hebrews 5:9 states there must be obedience to be born again, & Jesus becomes the Author of their eternal salvation

Again, it's only by His merciful loving kindness that we are empower to these works of righteousness, which conforms us into the Image of the Obedient One. Rom 8:29 Who always did those things that pleases the Father John 8:29 John 14:31

    INTRODUCTION TO HEBREWS (Part 2):

All of this is important to understand how to interpret the book of Hebrews.

    I. DATE OF WRITING:

Evidence from the letter itself places the date written between 67 and 69 A.D. The reason for this is that the author uses present tense verbs throughout the letter indicating the temple in Jerusalem was still functioning.

And there is a list of present tense verbs found in this writing, Hebrews 5:1; 7:5; 8:3; 9:6; 9:22; 10:4; 10:8; and 13:11. A Present tense verb just basically says the writer is speaking as if it is ongoing now, when he talks about the temple rituals and functions.

The temple in Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 A.D. by Titus the Roman General. So, the letter had to have been written before 70 A.D. as the information tells us. That's because the writer is speaking as though the temple is still there and is still functioning. So, it has to be written before 70 A.D.

II. TO WHOM IT WAS WRITTEN:

The inscription added to this letter in the 2nd century was "The Letter to the Hebrews."

Prior to the 2nd century, there were no titles to the letters. In the 2nd century, they decided to add titles or inscriptions to the letters. And it wasn't until the 2nd century the inscription said the letter to the Hebrews. The letter was written to Hebrew Christians. We know this because of the emphasis on the Levitical priesthood and sacrifices, and an absence of any reference to Gentiles.

4 If keeping the law made us sinless we wouldn't need Christ,,,,,,Christ came to fulfilled the law, & all those who follow Him in the regeneration fulfill the law too, by a higher law, the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus, which supersedes the law of the OT, through the Spirit of Grace which has appear to you, making you aware of your sins. He checks you in the provocations & temptations of this life & show you what not to do & what to do Titus 2:12 & if you'll obey, you'll sin not.

5Keeping rules doesn't give us the Spirit of Truth, this is a false statement, Acts 5:32 Gal 3:2 believe that it is He who is within you speaking to you & if you will surrender to His guidance, little by little, you'll increase in His Spirit, until nothing will be impossible for you Philippians 4:13

    Jema,

The very essences of the salvation that Jesus gave His life for is to bring us back to a life of obedience. Hebrews 5:9

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven,

Disobedience makes this impossible or to become a child of God

    A personal testimony

Correct me if I'm wrong, I've read that you love all type of worldly music, I was once there. Being a Christian & doing this does not go together, Just like watching tv, it glorifies all the works of the flesh of Gal 5 feeds the carnal part in man which is enmity against Godly part. I was having the same troubling problems your facing & God began opening me to why I was so easily captivated by the devil at his will. Our eyes & ears are the windows to our soul & spirit, I was feeding my self with sin & death, 1Cor 10:21 2Cor 6:14 I pick up the Cross to it, so that I may become pure in heart, The Blood of Jesus reaches to the cleansing of the conscience/heart from the evil one. But we must become obedient & pick up the cross to all things that would defile it. & so will all do, who God has inspired to live 24/7 for Christ.

Remember; where He invites, He empowers.

    Hi Frankie,

I agree, and concur with you, and totally with the scripture directed at "living in obediance" and worshipping God in the Spirit! I also agree, many can be conversant in the scripture - but NOT OBEY the scripture. To walk in the Spirit is to obey the scripture and God's Commands. If we have God's Holy Spirit in us; He will NOT let us disobey His Comands, I have found this out the hard way too, and believe me, when Jesus says to sin no more - or something worse will happen to you - it will! If we really have the Spirit in us we will obey all of His Commands.

Example: Hebrews 5:9 "And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;"

Please note: That obey Him, That obey Him, That obey Him, That obey Him

Pual isn't telling us that we get the salvation for free - as many of todays modern christains believe. Paul states in the scripture above: only those that obey God recieve eternal salvation!!!

And Jesus tells us plainly: Luke 9:23 "And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me."

Once we begin to deny ourselves and we pick up our cross, then and only then - can we begin to follow Jesus in the manner that He wants. If we are living for the worldly things..we are serving satan!

It is very painful to die to ourselves, so to picking up our cross daily can be extremely painful, but nowhere near as painful as what Christ endured for us!

Jesus tells us: Luke 9:24 "For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it."

Is Jesus telling us that we must give up our worldly lives? Yes. Why is it so hard for us to understand this? Christains may not like to hear this scripture - but we simply can't ignore it!

    Hello One eighty,

I recently joined this discussion board and am therefore unfamiliar with those who have been here much longer.

I see scripture passages and verses as being similar to jigsaw puzzle pieces that God expects each of us to understand and appropriately place together throughout our lifetime, so as to be able to SEE the kingdom of God as one might view a beautiful picture.

"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, HE CANNOT SEE the kingdom of God." ( John 3:3)

SEEING God's kingdom is vital, as this act defines whether Salvation is ultimately achievable or not - John 3:5-8.

I have been on numerous Bible discussion boards seeking to partake in some "strong, Bible-based meat" ( Hebrews 5:14) in which to 'chew' on, so that similarly-minded Christians could also share what they had each discovered - so that collectively, we might each piece together what the Lord had revealed to each of us. Sadly, I have been unable to find any such discussions.

Therefore, when your questions deviated into impossible areas that could never be responded to in scripture, I felt the response I provided was necessary.

So - no offence was intended One eighty. I guess that sometimes incidents like this need to happen so that we can each learn a little bit more about each other and why we are here.

    Blessings, One eighty.

    Friend;

Jesus came not to abrogated the Law, but to fulfill it, Matt 5:17-20; & all who follow Him in the regeneration fulfills it too! For He is John 14:6; He leads us in the same path that He, Himself walk in, opening up the new & living Way for us, that we may 1 John 2:3-7; fulfilling all the requirements of the Law.

    How is all of this accomplish? By picking up the Cross & following Christ in the regeneration unto the new birth. Both the dying indeed unto to sin by Grace appearance Rom 6:18,19; & by becoming partakers 2 Pet 1:4; through the exercising of the Gal 5:22-25; by Grace appearance. For He who show us what sin is & to be deny, also show us what righteousness is & how it is to be exercised. Rom 13:14;

This is what the Law couldn't do Gal 3:21-27; through the weakness of the flesh sold under sin, it couldn't restore us to the Life of God that we were created in. But the faith Rom 10:17; which is in Rom 10:8; that Paul preached could. Gal 3:2; obedience leads to ever increasing measure of His Spirit, an enduement of His Spirit of Grace, "Power".

    The Law could not make us partakers of the Divine Nature, which against such there is no law, only with the coming of John 1:14; John 1:17; could this be fulfilled in us, through Christ by the Spirit in the new birth. Ephesians 2:15,16; He abolish it, by fulfilling it in His flesh, & so must all who are His, bringing us unto the new creature. Col 3:10;

"For when there was no one to help, not one to open the seals, Rev 5:1-5; to give knowledge, to direct the course of poor man's recovery, He came in the greatness of his love and strength; and though clothed with the infirmities of a mortal man, being within fortified with the almightiness of an immortal God, He traveled through all the straits and difficulties of humanity, and first, of all others, Hebrews 5:8; trod the un-trodden path to blessedness. Quote; No Cross, No Crown by William Penn"

Jesus has left nothing undone for us, we must follow His pattern.

    Hi Richard,

    1Jn 1:8-10 explains the operations of John 16:8; & the exercises of Hebrews 5:13;14; when He convicts of sin or of righteousness, He bring these two seeds of thought within into judgment. The still small Voice of conscience that reproves us of sinful thoughts, words or actions, this is Grace Titus 2:11 / Light John 1:9 Christ spiritual appearance within our hearts, Ephesians 5:13; to 1 John 3:8; if rejected, His word has no place within us, & we call Him a liar & why? John 3:19,20; Rom 1:18,19; rejecting Him, we suppress the Truth in unrighteousness. Therefore we don't John 1:12; but if we receive His convictions, we received the power that comes with the conviction to become the sons of God, for the 1Cor 12:7; More insight of the Spirit operations within conscience, Rom 2:15;

So there's a time when Holy Spirit comes to us as sinners, for Rom 3:23 & a time ( if we received His words ) repentance is granted & we're cleanse from all sin. 1 John 1:9; Titus 2:14; 2Cor 7:1; by the 1 Pet 1:23; = Light, becoming Matt 5:48; 1 Pet 1:15,16; for they that are 1Cor 6:17 & in Him 1 John 3:5; All by the working of Grace / Light / Spirit appearance within conscience.

    Hello Free,

I read Heb. 6:1 and the verses before and after. This theme is concerning those who should already be mature in their faith and doctrine, but are not. Therefore, they will need "milk" and return to the basic doctrines of our faith and be refreshed and convinced of them as the Holy Spirit brings them understanding, strengthening their faith so that they can then go on to be ready for "meat", that is, more weighty doctrines that are more difficult to understand and teach.

Paul is not denouncing the basic doctrines that come first in our walk of faith, such as baptism, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, eternal judgment. This "milk" begins with repentance from dead works and faith towards God. I think that often people come to the Lord in faith and then jump to things that are more for mature people who already have all the basics in place. These "newbies" need to tarry more in the "milk" doctrines until these are understood and applied to their lives before they go on to more "meaty" doctrines.

But those who have tarried long in the basics of the faith should be equipped to move on to "meat" and gain understanding in these matters in order to be qualified to teach others, especially those who are in need of "milk" and need help to move on towards maturity.

Thanks for bringing this up. At first read, if taken in isolation, the verse seems to say that these principles of Christ are to be left behind. But Paul is not saying that we abandon these principles of Christ, but we are to move on towards maturity in Him because our faith and walk with Jesus will be challenged again and again and even with persecution. Therefore, we are to not be complacent or slothful, but move on towards perfection so that we will not be led into apostasy when our faith is severely challenged by evil.

    Dear MJ, Greetings...

The truth is, MJ, it is impossible for anything to prevent you from living a victorious life in Christ, but you. Read what Paul says:

    Romans 8

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

    Have you been saved?

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.- Romans 10:9-13.

If you have been saved, If you are saved, form the habit of daily devotions--praying and reading the Bible, including studying the Gospel of John which teaches Jesus's deity, and what the Apostles Peter and Paul wrote about growing strong in our walk with Christ Hebrews 5:11-6:12, 1 Cor. 3:1-4, 10-15, Eph 4:11-16, 1 Pet. 2:1-3, 2 Pet.1:3-10. When you sin, ask forgiveness and repent from ever doing it again. Jesus's blood is sufficient to cover all your sins. 1John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Ask Him to search your heart, know your thoughts to see if there be any wickedness in you, and show you the way to walk. Psalms 139:23, 24 "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." And your sins will be blotted out.

Robert Henry, 2 Tim.3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Pet.1:20-21 even tell us the prophecy of the scripture came not in old time by the will of man, but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. Modern version bibles are not inspired by God, only the true scripture, the KJB is God breathed. But sadly you are right, there are many who don't understand, or believe that today. The Words of the LORD are pure Words!

    Robert Harmon:

I going to tell you something you don't want to hear.

God uses your hardships to PRESS you into his kingdom.

God drives us into the WILDERNESS, we have to rely on him for our daily necessities, just like the children of Israel, he provides for ONLY TODAY, any more is eaten up by worms (symbolic).

Mark 1:2 And Immediately the spirit driveth him (the church, Revelation 21:22) into the wilderness ....

Revelation 12:14 And the woman (Christ's bride, the church) was given the two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the WILDERNESS, into her place, where she is nourished ..........

Psalms 37:25 .... I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor HIS SEED begging bread.

Philippians 1:29 For UNTO YOU it is GIVEN on the behalf of Christ, not only to BELIEVE ON HIM, but also to SUFFER for his sake.

Hebrews 5:8 Though he were a Son (you are a joint heir with Christ), yet learned he (the joint heir) OBEDIENCE through SUFFERING.

I know this is not what you want to hear, but God PROMISES that HIS GRACE will be enough to get you TO THE END.

    God Bless You!

What is the difference between the soul and the spirit of a person? ( 1 Thessalonians 5:23 - Hebrews 5:12 - Ecclesiastes 12:7)

What makes up the soul and what makes up the spirit?

    - Believers in the lord Jesus Christ they need to Pick up their bible which is the sword and Put on the Armour

Being sober waiting in the lord Jesus Christ.

-all Christians need to be committed before God and Obey the word His word then Jesus will abide in us and we in him.

-when we slack around then we became a salt that has lost it saltness which becomes worthless but for casting out and be trodden under the foot of men and the words which will we preach is unable to move sinners towards repentance

and this is what the church has done, and we are experiencing across the world.

so, as it's written in Hebrews 5:12-14

For though by this time, you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, 13 for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is fa child. 14 But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

-Let us not forget the great commission but watching always in prayers and reading, praying and fasting before God

    all the time.

    Mathew 28:19

    19. go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them min2 the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 1 Peter 4:17.

Often we speak of a revival, sometimes revival seems it is what the church needs rather than the nation. The nation is doing what nations do.

The church is set apart and is to be light to ALL the world/nations.

Here's what I observed, Some seems to minister to draw people to themselves.

They are thinking they are that light and rightfully so. But what is you/light supposed to shine on? Who's in the midst of the candlesticks? Jesus!

Today we see people "But not everyone" shine light upon themselves. ( Notice I didn't say "the light.)

Is that an oil filled light?

Can there be a revival in this way?

I'm sure we can agree on this matter, The question is "DO I DO THIS?" We should ask ourselves.

Here is also what we should ask ourselves.

    Does this glorify the Lord?

Am I doing this by the Spirit of God or the lust of the flesh?

Is it the Lords glory I am seeking?

Is this moved by the Spirit?

If Gods spirit resides in you you should know!

Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. John 12:31-32.

HOW DOES THE WORLD SEE US?

    Boy does this matter!

    Acts 2:44-47 ?

    John 13:35 ?

Here is just a few things that would hender these 2 verses?

Certainly Leaven and the tares plays a role.

When the world look at us from the outside they see some of their own.

Pride by the work of their own hands.

    Materialism.

    Racism.

    Ect.ect.

We also get along worse than them considering we are supposed to be led by the Spirit.

    Jude 1:4

    Hebrews 5:12-14.

    2 Peter 2:10-15.

This is why everything we do should be what is (caused) by the Holyspirit.

Don't let pride keep you from your purpose and proper place.

"Following Jesus and shining you light on Him!!

    Examine ourselves.

    God bless.

    Genesis 14,

After much study & reading, I've understood deeper the connections of names, families, places etc.

For instance Melchizedek, in Genesis 14:18, is very significant later! Psalms 110:4,

    Hebrews 7, Hebrews 5:5-10, Hebrews 6:18-20,

Lot, Abraham's nephew also called brother Genesis 14:12-16, Genesis 13:8-13, also shows Abraham's love, meekness, loyalty to Lot. Genesis 18, also Lot spoken of in New Testament as a promise of deliverance of GOD"S people 2Peter 2:4-9,

Genesis 19, Sodom & Gomorrha also spoken of several times

& Abraham himself named Abram, Genesis 17:5,15, & Sari, Sarah, it's amazing the significance of names we find as we keep reading & studying! John 14:26

    It's not judged by years: Luke 23:34-43, Matthew 13, 1Peter 2:2, Hebrews 5:12,13,14,

    Exodus 4:12, Deuteronomy 4, Deuteronomy 5:31, Deuteronomy 6:7, Matthew 5:19, 1Timothy 4:11,

    2Timothy 2:15, Jeremiah 1:7,

Why do you ask? I hope these help answer the root question

Dear "Willie milton", i don't quite understand your intention with this post. Because as far as i can see Hebrews 5:1 has nothing to do with women's periods. Otherwise, i see what you mean and it's right.

The Holy Spirit fills the person who is willing to do God's Will. Jesus Himself had to submit to God.

God bless u in Jesus name, love u in Christ. John 5:1-15

God do not contradict himself the holy ghost has nothing to do with the flesh but power over the spirit of the devil .A women and a man have a chores in this word through the flesh and the no male or female is for when we become Angels. A woman still are under Adam and eve law in the flesh and the flesh of a man have the rulership over the woman. The holy spirit will stop a woman for her monthly period nor childbirth nor death . Hebrews 5:1 if a priest is needed and your pastor is dead then then church must

line all qualified males and choose a priest from among men. Numbers 28:1 when god was setting up the priesthood he said call all males from the family of Arron that they may minister to me in the priesthood . God had a women prophetess call Mariam Moses sister. a elder is appointment after one is saved. The holy ghost have nothing to do with putting a woman in authority over a man just over the Devil works. 1Tim 2:11 this was after the holy Ghost had fell Acts 2:1 -2 1Co 11:3-4 this was written after the Holy Ghost had fell. So why now the women liberation is come now it seems that God have a new thing concerning the Pastor position. if you believe anything out of the scripture you are in False Doctrine and the Bible say's if a Angel from heaven preach any other gospel from what we preach let him be accursed . So it is not what God told the woman she could not do...He told her what to do. Thanks Willie
