Thank you brother S. Spencer for that good pertinent word. This is indeed "where the cross comes in" - the Old Covenant with its Laws are out, as the Lord of Heaven ushers in the New ( Hebrews 8:13). And by bringing in the New, His Gift of the Spirit interprets the whole Law of God to our hearts (way beyond what was once delivered to Israel). Israel had no power to keep the Law & obey God. God had spoken directly to them, led them, kept them, & blessed them beyond imagination. But they despised the Holy One & the Law that served to bring them to brokenness, repentance & looking for a Redeemer, instead hardened their hearts towards God & ultimately to His Son.
But to those who "received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name"; and "God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father." How God would have longed to hear His Name being passionately called upon by Israel, His very own! But to His elect, & the redeemed of the LORD, that is our constant cry & continual appeal, to a loving merciful Father Who has laid no burden upon us, but that through faith we should be saved & given power to trust His Word & obey Him. Such is the glory of the New Covenant with His Laws written in our hearts, knowing clearly what the Lord expects of us. Sorry for the rambling - I still remain amazed as to what was achieved at the Cross for us & all that we receive from Heaven ( Ephesians 1). How much more for the Jew, those whose eyes of understanding are opened & the yearning of their hearts now fully realized in Christ their Savior. Thank you for adding this to our present thoughts on this subject.
OT promises, Isa 54:13Jeremiah 31:33-34; confirmed in NT, Hebrews 8: 10,11,12; why is it that God doesn't remember their sins? Because He has cleanse them of all unrighteousness & has endue them with His Spirit & they sin no more. Jeremiah 32:39-41; The cause & effect of God teaching us Himself, & that by His Spirit John 14:13,14,15; with all His Heart & all His Soul; says the LORD, Selah.
Consider; it was not until the 14th or 15th century that these things became widely available, & then it was only to the learned & privilege. The Apostasy that the Apostles spoke of was already at work in their day & came into full maturity with the Roman Catholic's Rev17:2 for then the world was Rome. Daniel 2:40
Who taught Moses, etc; even Jesus John 7:15; the disciples etc; one educated, Paul & he Philippians 3:7,8,9,10; he relied on Philippians 1:19; What about all the people in time that didn't get a chance to learn how to read or were in the remote regions of the earth were the Scriptures were unavailable? Or hear the Good New being preach in the power of the Holy Ghost? His words are, "from the least to the greatest". His Spirit is able to reach them to the uttermost, even the blind, deaf, dumb-mentally, etc; Jeremiah 32:27;
Chris, everyone; consider these things. God is just, He's not going to condemn someone for something they did not know. Rom 1:17, which comes by Rom 10:17; which is in Rom 10:8; continue Rom 1:19; & that by His 1Cor 2:10; He's that Light that admonish you in the car, follow Him & He will lead ALL that do to the Father. He's the Treasure 2Cor 4:7 that's opens our understanding to the knowledge & the glory of God, it's the face of Jesus Christ.
Jesus by His blood entered once into the holy place not made by hands having obtained eternal redemption everlasting, never to fade, and in Jesus, we have everlasting righteousness and salvation, through faith, given by grace from God, by the blood of the Lamb freely offered for us. To look for everlasting righteousness to be brought in the future is to deny the work of Christ, which he claimed was finished. We have no righteousness apart from Jesus Christ.
5 To seal up vision and prophecy; seal up, affix a seal, a seal in biblical times as today, is used to guarantee security, or indicate ownership, fulfill a vision of God's communication with man, prophecy w-n-, the same word for prophet, the word of God given to us through a prophet. The greatest prediction, which runs through the whole Old Testament, is that regarding the coming and work of the Messiah, Jesus. Daniel 9:23John 6:27Mark 1:14-15Acts 3:18John 5:36-40Matthew 11:11-15Romans 3:21.
All through the New Testament, it shows the fulfillment of the prophets and the law; fulfilled on the cross at Calvary. Gabriel was sent to help Daniel understand the matter, and consider the vision.
6 To anoint the Most Holy. Anoint, the theological meaning of mashach to smear, anoint. The Most Holy qa-da-sm qo-des, most holy, most holy place, Set apart from the rest for a special function. This was done by Jesus after he ascended to heaven before the destruction of the temple made by man. It is the anointing of the holy of holies in the temple not made with hands. Hebrews 8:1-12 Hebrews 9:6-14
Jesus went in once and anointed the Holy of Holies not made with hands. Jesus anointed the Holy of Holies once and made it possible for man through him and the Holy Spirit to enter the most holy and God can dwell in us. When Jesus cried out and said it was finished and gave up the ghost, the veil of the temple rent in half.
Often we hear about different dispensations of God's grace to different people through history. Like to Israel and to the church. But is this so?
Let's start from Ephesians 2:14-18, "(14) For he(Jesus) is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; (15) Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; (16) And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: (17)And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. (18) For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father"
The above says clearly that God united Israel with the rest of the nations (who hath made both one). Israel is no longer considered as a separate people from the rest of the people but as one unified body. Israel and the Gentiles are now ONE BODY, the Church.
Often it is said that God made 2 Testaments, one (the Old) for Israel and the second and final for the gentiles. Right? No, it's wrong. God made the New Testament initially for the Hebrews.
Hebrews 8:8-10, "(8) ... He(God) saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: (9) Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. (10) For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people"
I believe where we got off track is we're forgetting to mention an important aspect of the topic.
The Church!
John was the forerunner for Christ. He came to the Jews to prepare them.
The kingdom was at hand.
John performed the baptism of repentance.
The jews rejected their Messiah.
That brings us to Pentecost ( The birth of the Church. )
Then as Paul says in Romans, Salvation went to the Gentiles.
This is where the function of the Holyspirit is different from the way it moved people before the resurrection.
Hebrews 8:8-13.
In the old and new testament it takes the Spirit of God to save a soul.
We were giving the difference between new testament water baptism and baptism of the Holyspirit.
Only one puts Jews and Gentiles in the body of Christ and only one saves reveals and seals.
CONCLUSION.
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. Hebrews 8:10-11.
But all that is OT prophecy. Has Israel been blotted out because of their stubbornness, & only the Church is what is on God's Mind as His new Israel? I believe that God cherishes His Church (those of Israel & the Gentiles purchased with His Son's Blood), yet yearns for His chosen ones to whom His covenants were given.
The Apostle Paul shares much on this: we read of his yearning for his people & the promise that they will come to the Lord, when "the fullness of the Gentiles be come inAnd so all Israel shall be saved" ( Romans 11:25-27). He isn't referring here to a reconstructed/renamed Israel comprising believing Jews & Gentiles; Paul sees not only the Church (saved Jew & Gentile) in his many writings but also that Israel as a nation/people will continue to exist & play a major part in the end-times. To remove Israel completely out of the end-time picture, would also remove much from the Word that speaks of them as a nation (see also Hebrews 8:8-12 & Jeremiah 31:31-34 for the New Covenant which applies to all now, & will still find it's complete fulfilment in Israel's restoration in the end times). Even Jesus proclaimed that, "Ye (Israel) shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord" ( Matthew 23:39) - I wonder when that time will be? ( Zechariah 12:9,10).
Six things determined upon Daniel's people and the holy city.
Part 4
To make reconciliation for iniquity
Reconciliation is an element of salvation that refers to the results of the atonement, to coat or cover, Isaiah 61:10Rev. 3:4Rev. 16:15, iniquity is guilt, crookedness, twistedness, perverseness, that which is not straight or upright, and moral distortion in the dark.
The word reconcile means to bring back to a former state of harmony, Jesus reconciled both Jew and Gentile unto God in one body by the cross and now through Jesus we both Jew and Gentile have access by one Spirit unto the Father, no more strangers or foreigners but fellow citizens. Making reconciliation for iniquity concerns our involvement in the work of salvation. God has reconciled himself to us and empowered us by his Spirit to reconcile ourselves to God and one another.
To bring in everlasting righteousness.
Everlasting, no end, long duration, antiquity, futurity, forever, ever, everlasting, evermore, perpetual, continuous existence. Righteousness, God's attribute, justice, mercy, loving-kindness, in conformity to the demands of the covenant, and according to God's will, fair and balanced.
Everlasting righteousness was what our Lord manifested in His sinless life. Jesus by His blood entered in once into the holy place not made by hands having obtained eternal redemption, everlasting, and in Jesus we have everlasting righteousness and salvation, through faith, given by grace from God, by the blood of the Lamb freely offered for us. We have no righteousness apart from Jesus Christ.
Six things determined upon Daniel's people and the holy city.
Part 6 last part
To anoint the Most Holy.
Anoint, the meaning of mashach is fourfold. First, an individual or object set apart for divine use, the anointed. Most Holy q--m q-e most holy most holy place.
Some put this at the baptizing of Jesus by John the Baptist, the start of Jesus's ministry.
Matthew4:13-17 Mark 1:9-11John 1:29-34
This could very well be the anointing in Daniel 9:24. It started Jesus's ministry, and we know he is most holy. There is another choice, which I believe is what is said in Daniel, not in the future, but was done by Jesus after he ascended to heaven before the destruction of the temple made by man. It is the anointing of the holy of holies in the temple not made with hands. Hebrews 8:1-12 Hebrews 9:6-14
With this, it shows Jesus went in once and anointed the Holy of Holies not made with hands. Jesus anointed the Holy of Holies once and made it possible for man through him and the Holy Spirit for God to dwell in us, a tabernacle. If we look at verse 9:8 "The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing". Remember when Jesus cried out and said it was finished? He gave up the ghost, the veil of the temple rent in half, and the holy of holies opened to man. Like the tabernacle of David an open tent everyone could see the glory of God.
This is to take however you may, my understanding These were fulfilled.
Had that 1 st covenant been faultless then there wd have been no place sought forth a 2 nd covenant in the blood of the lamb....Remember what John was preaching saying behold the lamb of God that taketh the sins of the world...That cd not be preached under the old covenant.... For one the law wasn't given to Gentiles it was given to Israel. I wasn't given to JUSTIFY anyone for salvation.

It's interesting what you will find in Hebrews when ministering the first covenant. It WASN'T about just being obedient to the 10 commandments, There were services that had to be performed to extreme precision.
There was the high priest that ministered THOSE services under THAT covenant in a WORLDLY sanctuary. The services had to be rendered perfectly but they couldn't make you perfect. They had no effect on the heart of man. Men heart is incurably wicked. The new covenant where Christ is the High priest He came to give you a new Heart and the REST that the old covenant couldn't give. Because no one could keep or be justified by the old covenant.
Why is it that those who desire to add their means of justifying themselves they choose what they think is the easiest to do and not realize in their lusty heart they break the commandments.
James 2:10.
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matthew 5:27-28.

Psalm 110:1. The Lord said unto my Lord, Jehovah ladoni, the saying, or decree, that is, I record the saying or decree of Jehohovah to my Lord, that is, to his Son the Messiah, whom I acknowledge as my Lord and God. This decree, made in eternity, was in due time published, and was actually executed when God raised up Christ from the dead, and brought him into his heavenly mansion. David designedly calls the Messiah his Lord, to admonish the whole church, that although he was his Song of Solomon according to the human nature, yet he had a higher nature, and was also his Lord, as being by nature God blessed for ever, and consequently Lord of all things, as he is called Acts 10:36; and by office, as he was God man, the Lord and King of the whole church, and of all the world, for the church's sake. And this was said to prevent that offence which the Holy Ghost foresaw the Jews and others would be ready to take at the meanness of Christ's appearance in the flesh. The Hebrew word adon, is one of God's titles, signifying his power and authority over all things, and therefore is most fitly given to the Messiah, to whom God had delegated all his power in the universe, > Matthew 28:18. Sit thou at my right hand - Thou who hast for so many years been veiled with infirm and mortal flesh, despised, rejected, and trampled upon by men, and persecuted unto death; do thou now take to thyself thy great and just power. Thou hast done thy work upon earth, now take thy rest, and the possession of that sovereign kingdom and glory, which by right belongs to thee; do thou rule with me, with an authority and honour far above all creatures, in earth or heaven. So this phrase is expounded in other places: see Luke 22:69; 1 Corinthians 15:25; Hebrews 1:3; Hebrews 8:1; Hebrews 10:12-13; Ephesians 1:20
John said I baptize with water he who is coming after me shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.
Now, Is Jesus still baptizing with the Holy Ghost? Yes. He does that through the preaching of the gospel and you receiving the message through open eyes and a blood tipped ear. This call goes out to jew and Gentiles, Before the crucifixion Christ was gathering the lost sheep of Israel, The king was in their midst and the kingdom was at hand, John the baptist came to pronounce that. Did Jesus ask the Disciples to baptize the lost sheep of Israel or anyone else BEFORE they crucified him, No. His Death had to bring on a new covenant. The circumcision of the heart. No more a commandment, IT'S NOW A CONDITION. Hebrews 8:6-11. He now put his law in man's heart. "Circumcision of the heart"
and only the baptism of the Holyspirit can do that. In Acts 2:38 the jews was asked to repent, this was very new to them.
Again, this was all Israel.
see Acts 2:36.
Now, everyone taught didn't believe, were they baptized? No, You had to believe. see Acts 8:35-37.
"Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; WHAT DOTH HINDER ME TO BE BAPTIZED?
And Philip said, IF THOU BELIEVEST WITH ALL THINE HEART, THOU MAYEST. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
Note:
1 Corinthians 12:13.
Ephesians 4:4-5.
We're put into the body by that 1 baptism and that's the baptism John the baptist referred Israel to. The Holy Ghost.
Matthew 28:18-19. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, ALL POWER IS GIVEN UNTO ME IN HEAVEN AND IN EARTH.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Do you notice no ask of repentance?
This is beyond Jerusalem. This power is of Jesus, His baptism.
This prophecy gives the precise time of the first coming of the Messiah. You will receive different understandings of this, it is a study that will take much time. this is just a little information you may use to help your study.
Many put the last week of this prophecy at the end times. It is used for the 7 years of tribulation, a peace treaty with the antichrist (he in verse 27) for 3 1/2 years then 3 years of great tribulation with the taking of the church somewhere between (pre, mid, post).
"Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, (70 weeks, 70 x 7 = 490 solar years or 483 prophetic years) on the house of Israel (Daniel's people) and the holy city (Jerusalem). It started from "the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem", make a note, that the rebuilding of the temple is not in this prophecy.
Here are a few verses that may help your study and if this prophecy has been fulfilled or not.
1. To finish the transgression Isaiah 53:5, 8 Isaiah 53:11Hebrews 9:15-18
2. To make an end of sins Matthew 1:21Hebrews 10:8-11John 1:291 Corinthians 15:3

3. To make reconciliation for iniquity Colossians 1:20-22Isaiah 53:6Isaiah 53:11Ephesians 2:16 ( Titus 2:142 Corinthians 5:18-19
4. To bring in everlasting righteousness Romans 5:17-21Romans 3:21-261Peter 2:24

5. To seal up vision and prophecy Daniel 9:23John 6:27Mark 1:14-15Acts 3:18
John 5:36-40Matthew 11:11-15
6. To anoint the most holy Hebrews 8:1-12 Hebrews 9:6-14
The six things that were determined on Daniel's people and the holy city in this 70-week prophecy; did the Messiah/Jesus fulfill?
Fully agree bro Giannis. In respect to Colossians 2:14, "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross", I would also add Ephesians 2:15, "Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace".
Whether referring to the "handwriting of ordinances" or "the law of commandments contained in ordinances", you would know that the same word is used, 'dogmasin' (decrees, edicts, ordinances). It's sometimes claimed that only those 'other' commandments have been abolished by virtue of the Cross & not the Decalogue. Though there was nothing wrong or at fault with any of God's Commandments ( Romans 7:12), it's present application & implications have ceased, because Christ's Sacrifice has nailed it ALL on the Cross. If they were still applicable & to be obeyed to prove obedience, then it shows that Jesus' Death didn't work towards salvation & God's Gift of Grace is a non-event & the whole Plan was a failure. ( Romans 8:3).
But our only attendance now is to Jesus & to His Spirit Who brings out the fullness of God's Requirements for His Blood-bought, giving us both the desire & power to learn & apply them to every situation in life. Therefore, sins of murder, theft, adultery, etc. are no longer clear finite physical acts of transgression, but now the Spirit tells us that they find their root in the heart & can even encompass a much wider range of applications than what is implied in the Decalogue. Jesus came to deal with the heart of sin, not the head knowledge of it. Using any of the commandments as a yardstick of our obedience has limited use for knowledge of Jewish laws & requirements. They have no bearing on the Jew or Gentile who has come to the Cross & under the New Covenant ( Hebrews 8:6,7,13). Blessings brother.
Pretty clearly this is describing the destruction oif the wicked. Their souls will never see the light of life again; should they die in a lost state. Much like the story of Lazarus and the rich man; whose name isn't even mentioned in the account of hell.
It seems strange; with all the descriptions of hades in the Psalms and other O.T. verses that people only seem to pay attention to the N.T. on the subject. This is much like Jesus quoting that it is harder for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of heaven than a camel to go through the eye of a needle. It can be done; but only if we consider our possessions to belong to God; and to put Him first as well as restoring any wrongs such as Zacheus did. There are many verses about riches being a snare and a trap; such as in the parable of the sower and the seed. It also bears importance for us to consider how in the last days the cares of this world will be a trap for those who are proclaiming "peace; peace" (when as Isaiah stated there is no peace for the wicked).
We are given our lot in this life; whether rich or poor according to His foreknowledge. Those who have been blessed with a lifetime of such; especially when God doesn't speedily judge makes men complacent; and they risk a fate such as the man who was planning to build bigger barns for himself that their soul will be required that night. Our possessions do us no good after we are gone; and those who don't plan ahead will sometimes have the rightous attain some help; if their descendants don't inherit money or property. We can look at the parable of the two sons; and realize that the one who squandered his money at least learned a proper respect for a rightous father; and that was worth more to him as a servant without any more inheritance than it would have perhaps to the other son who always behaved. It is God who givest; and God who taketh away; and we surely naked we come into this world; and naked we depart (until the Rapture).
I welcome you to this site. I just want to assure you that You can pray to our God directly.
1 Timothy 2 :5-6 tells us that there is one Mediator between God and man, the Man Jesus Christ, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time."
Jesus, at the Last Supper, instructed His disciples this way: "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you."
John 15:16
And in Hebrews 8:1 it says:
"Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of throne of the Majesty in the heavens."
And in Hebrews 7:24 it speaks of the priests of the Old Covenant compared to Jesus' priesthood:
"Also there were many priests because they were prevented by death from continuing. But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood Therefore He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them."
Mary, you do not need to pray to Mary or anyone else but God according to these Scriptures. Mary or any other saint would not receive your prayers because they know that Jesus is the only Mediator. They honor only Jesus. We can certainly ask other believers to pray for us, but this is a request we make to those who are still alive in this life. '
Do not be discouraged, trust in Jesus. Our Great God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, hears all of our prayers and we have Jesus' promise that our prayers are heard and answered by the Father according to His prefect will. Jesus is always making intercession for us to the Father. He is the best and foremost person we are to make our requests known to. The Holy Spirit even helps us in our praying ( Romans 8:26-27)
Therefore , the whole Godhead works to answer our prayers.
I encourage you to stay with us and continue learning from God's Word.
As I thought upon your post, I got thinking about 2 verses. The first is Romans 8:7 -
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
This is our condition before being born again. We are 'at war' with God; our sinful nature rebels against God, and the apostle tells us we, in that state, CANNOT obey God's law, and in honesty - we do not want to obey God's law! We want our own wills to be done!
This is why Jesus said we must be born again, we must be 'born from above', at which time we receive a new heart, a heart of flesh.
The next verse I thought of is:
Hebrews 8:10 -
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
Once those laws are written within, we suddenly LOVE God's law and delight in both knowing it and doing it! .And we delight in it because we are no longer at enmity with God, but because we love Him!
You are so right, Michele, in observing that in obeying God's Word and making that the rule of our lives, we not only please God - we keep ourselves from being entangled in this fallen world!
1 Corinthians 13:5 - the end of this verse about love (charity) basically means love keeps no record of wrongs. This is all we need to know to discern that keeping lists is wrong: both mental and physical lists.
Hebrews 8:12 - shows that God does this for us, he remembers our sin no more.
Ephesians 4:32, Ephesians 5:22 - we're to forgive others as God has forgiven us, and support husbands.
What you described seems contrary to scripture and I would feel so deeply hurt if someone did that to me. It would feel like an enormous betrayal of trust. It sounds like you followed bad advice and badly hurt your husband and that it has never been resolved. It's the elephant in the room day after day, but you haven't even discussed it since? If you don't want to talk to your own husband about the #1 thing in your life, how will you ever even handle any other problems in life? In a way I would feel like some of the wedding vows would have been violated by this, if it were me.
That's great that you're seeking scripture and input from others as clearly this is weighing on your heart and you already know what is the right thing to do to try to save your marriage.
Heaven, facts, or personal beliefs could be quite diverse. The Bible tells us heaven is God's dwelling place, 2 Chronicles 36:15, God's holy temple and throne are in heaven, Psalms 11:4, and the angels are in heaven, Matthew 22:30. The tabernacle Moses was instructed to build was a copy of the one in heaven, Hebrews 8:5.
The Bible tells us no man has ascended up to heaven, John 3:13. The Bible tells us heaven even the heavens are the LORDs and the earth is for the children of men, Psalms 115:16. We are told several times, that heaven along with the earth will be changed and made new, Isaiah 65:17Isaiah 66:222 Peter 3:13Revelation 21:1, and the new earth is where those whose names are in the book of life will be and God will dwell with us, and we will see His face Revelation 21,22.
If you are thinking, like the question, we hear, are you going to heaven when you die? That is something else. My understanding of scripture is the only way man will see heaven is in a vision like Paul, 2 Corinthians 12:2-4 and John, Revelation.
After being saved and believing in what Jesus did on the cross, understanding the blood shed by Jesus Christ, I re-read again the Bible with some miraculous clear messages. I am sure that I knew I was deceived since young about religion. Now I will not be toss to and fro to listen to these liars.
I knew in some bizarre way, people is not telling the truth at such a young age. I just cannot explained. Then I made God my best friend since because my Mama told me there is God who will not lie.
It amazes me why nobody tells these Leaders in All deceiver churches to stop their lying to people.
Do they not know the punishment of Eternal damnation as a learned leaders of the church (i.e. Believers of the blood of Jesus Christ)?
I know money is the root of all evil and power blinded many.
I do believe we are given a grace period, which is to me the most loving and generous thing God could ever give to each one of us sinners who really do not deserve forgiveness.
We have many examples in the Bible to learn the power of the Holy Spirit given to us after Jesus died on the cross. We Gentiles needed to read Paul's Gospel and epistles and the Book of Acts. And the entire Bible when you received the Holy Spirit.
I was baptized by water 3X (Catholic, Mormon, Seven Day Adventist) because of ignorance and young mind. But I never received the Holy Spirit in any of those water baptisms the way I did when I understood the blood shed by Jesus Christ.
You have to know that this world is too evil. You can tell and see it with your own eyes.
I tried to share my conviction that there is one God, one King and there is heaven and hell after being close to death 2X.
Now I understood, you cannot make people think the way you do when you know the True God and understand the Kingdom of God and the Holy Spirit in you.
As God knows His people, the true believer knows the saints living here on earth.
I believe there's two tabernacles, an Earthly one and an Heavenly one.
I believe they're looking for the Earthly one. Who knows? They may have found it.
Hebrews 8:1-2. Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man......
.
Hebrews 8:5. Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
Hebrews 9:2-9. .....
Verses 8-9. The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;"
Hebrews 9:24. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
I've heard it was seen in the basement at a Church in Ethiopia.
Who knows? perhaps it will be used in the literal Millennium kingdom here on earth.
I don't think we "the Church" have to concern our selves it.
Hebrews 10:19. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
It should have for believers, but with all things involving people change was difficult and many Jews had difficulty leaving it behind. Social pressures, rejection by families and being put out of the synagogues brought challenges and the temptation to go along to get along. That is why the book of Hebrews was written. The author was trying to prevent Jewish believers from turning back to the sacrificial system and showing them Jesus was superior in every way to that system.
Here is my attempt to summarize Hebrews:
Jesus superior to the prophets: Hebrews 1:1-3
Jesus superior to angels: Hebrews 1:4-14, Hebrews 2:1-8
Jesus able to represent humanity: Hebrews 2:9-18
Jesus superior to Moses: Hebrews 3:1-6
Warnings about hardening our hearts to God's calling: 3:7-19
Warnings about missing God's rest provided by faith in Jesus: 4:1-13
Jesus provides bold access as our high priest: 4:14-16, Jesus meets high priest requirements: Hebrews 5:1-10
Warning about being dull of hearing and unprepared for a deeper teaching: Hebrews 5:11-14, 6:1-8
Encouragement to believe that they are ready for deeper teaching: Hebrews 6:9-12
Teaching about the importance of God giving His oath to Christ He would be a priest forever: Hebrews 6:13-20
Teaching the superiority of the order of Melchisedek that Christ belongs to over the Levitical priesthood order: Hebrews 7:1-28
Christ's priesthood serves the heavenly reality that the law only was an earthly copy of: Hebrews 8:1-5
The superiority of the New Covenant over the Old: Hebrews 8:6-13,
The superiority of Christ's complete sevice over the incomplete Levitical service: Hebrews 9:1-28
The superiority of Christ's sacrifice: Hebrews 10:1-22
Warnings about drawing back: Hebrews 10:23-39
Importance of and examples of faith: Hebrews 11:1-40
Exhortation to submit to chastisement: Hebrews 12:1-29
Exhortation to practically live out their Christian faith and benediction: Hebrews 13:1-25
The author of Hebrews is unknown. We do know from Hebrews 13:23 that whoever wrote the letter knew Timothy. Some believe that Paul wrote Hebrews, but in all of Paul's other epistles, he begins by introducing himself as the author. One of the problems I have in believing Paul wrote it is because of what it says in Hebrews 2:3 which says "How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by (them) that heard Him."
This tells me that whoever wrote Hebrews was a second generation Christian. So whoever wrote Hebrews did not hear the Lord directly (As Paul did), nor did he receive from the Lord directly, but received and was confirmed and established for us, he being one of them, by those that heard Him.
One of the other theories was that it was Barnabas, because the letter appears to have been written by a Levite from the tribe of Levi. They were those who worked the temple. They were the priests, and they are the ones who took care of the temple.
The letter appears to have been written by a Levite because of the familiarity with the temple functions and rituals. According to Acts 4:36, Barnabas was a Levite. So some people theorize that Barnabas wrote it.
Barnabas means "Son of Encouragement." That's what his name means. And in Hebrews, the writer states in Hebrews 13:22 that he encourages them to endure the word of encouragement.
I have also heard Luke and Apollos being mentioned as possible writer. But the bottom line is we do not know who wrote Hebrews.
As for Hebrews 8:11 applying to Gentiles, here is my understanding of that verse. When Christ comes and sets up His kingdom, and brings the fulfillment of the last parts of the New Covenant, everybody will know the Lord.
We won't have a need for pastors. There won't be a need to teach others about the Lord. Everybody's going to know, when He comes and sets up His kingdom!
(1) He ascended to His Father ( Luke 24:49-53; Acts 1:6-11).
(2) He is our eternal Mediator ( 1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 8:6; 1 John 2:1.
(3) He is our Savior: "Thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins" ( Matthew 1:21, KJV). "Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins" ( Acts 5:31, KJV).
He is the only Savior. "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved" ( Acts 4:12, NIV).
He is a complete Savior. "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them" ( Hebrews 7:25, KJV).
He is a personal Savior. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" ( Romans 10:9, 10, KJV).
The Consummation of His Work:
(1) He shall return again to this earth ( Acts 1:11; Hebrews 10:37; John 14:3).
(2) Believers in Christ shall be bodily resurrected to begin a new, undying life ( 1 Thessalonians 4:17-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58).
(3) He will reign as King of kings and Lord of lords over His new creation ( 2 Peter 3:10-13; Revelation 22:3-5).
Thanks for your input. We agree on some, and not on others. I pray God's Spirit will help to guide us both, in growth, toward the correct understanding of the scriptures.
Yes, we are under God's New Covenant, please notice; God said in "His New Covenant" he will write His Laws into our Hearts and into our Minds. The same Laws/10 Commandments that were written in stone. These are God's MORAL Laws, not to be confused with the old testament ceremonial laws.
Hebrews 8:10
"For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:"
God's 10 Commandments will last forever, or until heaven and earth no longer exist! Don't take my word, study the scripture, here is God telling us this very plainly:
Matthew 5:18
"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."
Jesus is telling us that His MORAL LAWS will never to go away until His Kingdom is fulfilled. Meaning, all prophesies are completed. Including the end times per His revealings in the book of Revelations, and until - finally His Kingdom is in place.
OT promises, Isa 54:13 Jeremiah 31:33-34; confirmed in NT, Hebrews 8: 10,11,12; why is it that God doesn't remember their sins?
Daniel 2:40
Who taught Moses, etc; even Jesus John 7:15; the disciples etc; one educated, Paul & he Philippians 3:7,8,9,10; he relied on Philippians 1:19; What about all the people in time that didn't get a chance to learn how to read or were in the remote regions of the earth were the Scriptures were unavailable? Or hear the Good New being preach in the power of the Holy Ghost? His words are, "from the least to the greatest". His Spirit is able to reach them to the uttermost, even the blind, deaf, dumb-mentally, etc; Jeremiah 32:27;
You ask what define as sin? Rom 14:23;

Part 3.
Daniel 9:23 John 6:27 Mark 1:14-15 Acts 3:18 John 5:36-40 Matthew 11:11-15 Romans 3:21.
See Part 4
Different Dispensations? No
Divisions in the Word of God? No
So what?
Continuity.
GB
Part 4
To make reconciliation for iniquity
Reconciliation is an element of salvation that refers to the results of the atonement, to coat or cover, Isaiah 61:10 Rev. 3:4 Rev. 16:15, iniquity is guilt, crookedness, twistedness, perverseness, that which is not straight or upright, and moral distortion in the dark.
Colossians 1:20-22 Isaiah 53:5-6 Isaiah 53:11 Ephesians 2:16 Titus 2:14 Romans 4:7 2 Romans 5:10-11 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 Colossians 1:19-22
Isaiah 61:10-11 Hebrews 8:12 Romans 3:21-26 Romans 5:17-21 1 Corinthians 1:30 2 Corinthians 5:21 1 Peter 2:24
See Part 5
Part 6 last part
To anoint the Most Holy.
Anoint, the meaning of mashach is fourfold. First, an individual or object set apart for divine use, the anointed. Most Holy q--m q-e most holy most holy place.
Some put this at the baptizing of Jesus by John the Baptist, the start of Jesus's ministry.
Matthew4:13-17 Mark 1:9-11 John 1:29-34
God bless,
RLW

Scripture agrees with what Luke has spoken.

Hopefully these are helpful

God bless.
1. To finish the transgression Isaiah 53:5, 8 Isaiah 53:11 Hebrews 9:15-18
2. To make an end of sins Matthew 1:21 Hebrews 10:8-11 John 1:29 1 Corinthians 15:3
1 John 3:5 Psalm 32 Romans 8:3
3. To make reconciliation for iniquity Colossians 1:20-22 Isaiah 53:6 Isaiah 53:11 Ephesians 2:16 ( Titus 2:14 2 Corinthians 5:18-19
4. To bring in everlasting righteousness Romans 5:17-21 Romans 3:21-26 1Peter 2:24
2 Corinthians 5:21 Isaiah 61:10-11
5. To seal up vision and prophecy Daniel 9:23 John 6:27 Mark 1:14-15 Acts 3:18
John 5:36-40 Matthew 11:11-15
6. To anoint the most holy Hebrews 8:1-12 Hebrews 9:6-14
The six things that were determined on Daniel's people and the holy city in this 70-week prophecy; did the Messiah/Jesus fulfill?
God bless,

That is the devil, to believe it is god that takes away blessings is a lie from the pit of hell.
Blessings!
God bless...
We are told several times, that heaven along with the earth will be changed and made new, Isaiah 65:17 Isaiah 66:22 2 Peter 3:13 Revelation 21:1, and the new earth is where those whose names are in the book of life will be and God will dwell with us, and we will see His face Revelation 21,22.
If you are thinking, like the question, we hear, are you going to heaven when you die? That is something else. My understanding of scripture is the only way man will see heaven is in a vision like Paul, 2 Corinthians 12:2-4 and John, Revelation.
God bless,

Hebrews 8:11 reminded us again to know the Lord.
I believe there's two tabernacles, an Earthly one and an Heavenly one.
I believe they're looking for the Earthly one. Who knows? They may have found it.
Hebrews 8:1-2. Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
God bless.

God Bless
JC
Happy Sabbath Day and God Bless You!
