ADAM was given the job of dressing and keeping a garden while trying to stay away from the tricks of Satan ( Genesis 2:7).

The animals Adam named was for husbandry purposes ( Genesis 2:18-20). Notice Adam did not name insects or fish because he did not need them to be a farmer.

MANKIND was given the job of having "DOMINION over all the earth" ( Genesis 1:26-28).

We have the New, better covenant through Jesus now.

1 Thessalonians Chapter 4 talks about the rapture, although it doess not use that word specifically. The words "caught up" refer to Christ coming for his bride (The Church) and snatching us away by force. The dead in Christ will rise first, and then we will be caught up to meet Him in the air. This is referred to as the rapture and I believe it takes place before the Tribulation Period which means before the mark of the beast. The rapture is not Christ's second coming. At His second coming, He comes all the way down to the earth and the church comes with Him. At the rapture, we meet Him in the air.

That America/United States is called in prophesy: Islands in the Sea. That's because the continents are surrounded by water. Also, Britain, Scotland, Australia and others.

America is not without sin. Plenty of people describe it as the new whore of Babylon.

How many churched people have come in here recently, saying, despite going to church regular, they barely know anything about scripture or prophesy? Quite a bit.

19. America is latter-day Babylon, America is the glory of earth's known kingdoms, She is the beauty of excellency. America has become like the overthrown "Sodom and Gomorrah".

20. This is not a verse about America. This is the place of Sodom and Gomorrah, a place burned to the bedrock, a place of sulfur balls, a place of desolation. That which was once the most furtle and green is the most desolate, ever since this destruction at the time of Abraham, it has been a place incapable to feed goat of sheep. This is the land of the Arab and even he doesn't use it. This is what America resembles in her destruction.

13. This is an ominous time, within the awful presence of wars terrors, come the shaking of the whole earth causing the heavens to have the appearance of shaking. This is not an earthquake, it's "pole shift", the moment of 2 mile deep sea's becoming unleashed on the seacoasts and covering all the lower ground till the incomparable 2 mile high waves run out of inertia. This is absolute devastation of everything in its path. It is recurrent in this shifting likened to shaking.

So the oceans will be thrown from their sea beds repeatably to cover the landmasses. Its of interest to see that maps have been created to show this eventuality for America and the whole of the world.

I would like to share with you my understanding of Matthew Chapter 24. Matthew Chapters 24 and 25 deal with the end-time prophecies. There are four sections in Chapter 24 that represent the 70th week of Daniel.

Section 1: "The Pains of Birth" Verses 4-14. Section 2: Matthew 24:15 is "The Pivotal Point." Section 3: Matthew 24:16-28, "The Perils of Tribulation." And then fourthly, Verses 29 to 31 is "The Promise of His Coming," given to us in Isaiah 13:10 and 34:4, Joel 2:10 and 3:15, 7:13, Isaiah 27:13, and Zechariah 12:10.

Beginning at verse 3 of Chapter 24, the disciples are looking for answers as to when these things are going to happen. Jesus then begins answering, and from Verses 4-14, He gives the details of the first 3-1/2 years of the tribulation, known as the pains of birth. In Verse 15, we have the pivotal point, the abomination of desolation.

Then in Verse 16, we see that Jesus is talking to Jewish believers. Actually, I believe the entire Chapter is given to Jewish believers. But Jesus tells them to flee. Verses 16 to 28 talk about the perils of tribulation, the last 3-1/2 years of the 7 year Tribulation period. It's going to be a very severe time.

Verse 22 is showing us that if God did not have a time period when He says okay I am going to stop, everybody would be wiped out.

But for the sake of the elect, a special word brought over from the O.T. as a title for the Jewish people. They are His elect people. It doesn't mean they are all saved but they are His chosen people. He realizes there are 144,000 of them out there, plus all the others who believed, and this is something that is going to happen in the last part of the tribulation period.

Verses 29-31, we have the promise of His coming. I recently shared the actual 7 Steps of a Jewish Wedding. If we understand those 7 steps, it helps to understand the coming of Christ and some of the Jewish views about when Christ is coming back. Those steps are fascinating!

Hi, Jesse. I am by no means an authority on these things, but a cursory review of the use of stars in the Bible show their use can be literal or symbolic. In Isaiah 13:10, the meaning appears to be literal. Yet in Revelation it is figurative.

In Genesis, for example, God created the stars. These are the astronomical bodies we observe at night. However, sometimes things said in the Bible have a double meaning. A star can represent an actual star, while at the same time, there is an underlying allusion to Angels, people in positions of leadership or authority.

In Revelation 12:4, we see a reference to Angels, while in 12:1 the stars represent something else. Some commentators agree that 12:1 is a symbolic reference to the 12 Apostles. Here we have a reference to Christ and the devil. Genesis tells us, in keeping with this passage, that Satan and his angels were cast to earth. Daniel 8 is also supportive of this interpretation.

In Revelation 8:10-12 we see how stars may take on other meanings. Is the star an angel, a meteor, an earthly leader or what some might call an environmental catastrophe, the result of pollution and adverse weather conditions?

Keep in mind, while reading Revelation, that what is written is not outlined in chronological sequence. There is a back and forth in time, that may make understanding particularly difficult. So, what Revelation 8 or 12 or other Chapters reveal, are not necessarily sequential events. The same is true for the rest of the book.

But if you notice, in the 6th Seal, in Chapter 6:13, the stars are cast down. And everyone is afraid and all hide. The symbolism of the stars here, while many mistake them for literal stars, is about governments, powers, authorities and war.

In the 7th Seal, the Trumpets are introduced. This Seal signifies the last days of the Great Tribulation of Matthew 24. The Trumpets sound at the very last hour of the Tribulation. Then the Bowls of the Wrath of God are found in the last Trumpet.

Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah. Isaiah 1:9 And they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb their eye shall not spare children.....shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. Isaiah 13:18-19

this the time spoken of at the end of Chapter 6 of Revelation it is the wrath of God not to be confused with the tribulation , its the day of the Lord , it happens after the tribulation , so many Christians will be surprised that there is no Pre Trib rapture , rather a Pre Wrath rapture , we need to study the bible rather then listen to popular book writers .

"The noise of a multitude in the mountains (high places), like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts musters the host of the battle." The heavens shall be rolled back like a scroll, and He shall call with a great shout to all His holy angels; first to gather up His Elect, and immediately after to utterly take away all the wicked.

The chapter refers to the last days, looking at world events of the day makes this chapter pretty scary.

I think the scripture refers to the refinement and the purity of a human being in Jesus Christ. It is He who purifies us and refines us in mind, spirit and soul to be used for His honor and glory and to praise Him. He is God. He came to cleanse us from all unrighteousness and sin, iniquities and transgressions. Thus we become pure and refined through Him for Him, through Him

Couple this verse with Isiah 21, Jeremiah 50 51 and you get the whole picture of a future event. Babylon is Saudi Arabia more specific Mecca. Elam Iran will attack and destroy Mecca because of the two different sects of Islam, Shiite Muslims against Sunni Muslim.

I am thinking this is possibly Babylon but the future Babylon and not the one that existed in Daniels Day....maybe even mystery Babylon that the book of Revelation speaks about...a city filled with sin, wealth and the Word calls her that grerat whore. She will be destroyed in one hour...maybe this is Mecca because the world did trade with her...but she shall fall in one hour....I don 't think America figures in this prophecy because we are not near the desert ..nor are we the center where man goes to worship...this is an Arabic Babylon

GOD gives us always a very clear view of all HIS messages to us. I'm a mother, who gave birth and a follower of Christ. It's always in my prayer that people around the world would come and understand the meaning of having the true RELATIONSHIP to our GOD THROUGH CHRIST JESUS our LORD and SAVIOUR.

Have studied bible prophecy for years; never in my wildest imagine did I ever think this scripture applied to our generation (2013).The Lord is going to do these things to us! Comet ISON will hit the sun November 28th unleashing solar flares to earth.
