In the past I've used that analogy of the puzzle pieces. The Gospel paints a picture starting from Genesis.

The problem often comes when one have a picture in mind and try to fit pieces of the puzzles together that don't belong so they have to reshape the surrounding pieces to there liking, usually by spritualizing all the pieces/scripture, or they take one piece of a puzzle/scripture that represents their picture and try to fit it in a 1000 piece puzzle that it doesn't belong to, so they reshape the 1000 pieces by spritualizing.

Here's an example.

I've heard it taught that this was all of creation. ( A piece of puzzle that don't even fit the chapter or anywhere else in the 66 books. )

But if they would let the scripture say what it is saying you would find the answer throughout the chapter, especially verse 7.

"For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry"

Isaiah 5:7.

God is in the generation of the righteous. Psalms 14:5.

We become his people by seeking him, not everyone will do this.

Zachariah gives a distinction between between the heathen nations and God's people. Zachariah 8:7.

Mathew 7:21-23. You can't be his people and he not know you.

There's those who believe the book of Isaiah have 2 authors because of the contrasting styles between the 1st half of the book and the 2nd half. However Isaiah wrote both halves of the book of Isaiah.

Do a careful research on John 12:37-41. and you will find Jesus contributing both half of the book to Isaiah by quoting from each half of the book.

If you didn't believe you wouldn't be worrying, you wouldn't care at all actually. So as Emery comments you believe but you need to believe more, that is to get your faith up. As all brothers so far point out faith increases by reading and listening to the Word of God, by praying, and very important by having close communion with other christians, that is to join a church of true believers.

And may i give a personal advice. God is experience, try Him. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you somehow. Every person is different and God acts in various ways according to the person He deals with. Ask for Him to verify His existence somehow, to give you a proof. Don't find this wrong. Apostole Paul wouldn't believe if Jesus didn't appear to him in his way to Damascus. Words didn't do any good to him. He needed to see with his own eyes. So did Cornelious, so did Sergius Paulus and many other people in the Gospel. May God show the way. God bless you. Hello Isaiah, I believe that you already believe in God and what you are asking for is faith. God tells us that faith comes by reading his words in the Bible so that you can relate those things to your own life. You will begin to realize that he blesses you in your search for him. Pray and ask for forgiveness of your sins and receive our Lord Jesus as your savior who died on the cross for your sins. Go into your private place and pray this out loud, and the holy spirit will come to you and you will be different. Lord God I pray that you would receive Isaiah, this little one who seeks your face and send him thou Holy Spirit that may guide him to you. In the holy name of our Savior Jesus Christ. I knew a guy named Cecil at Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. He adopted a 6month old baby girl that had been horrificly abused. I read your post several times. I closed the ap. Had to pray a little & think on your post. I haven't heard from our friend Cecil since I was a teenager. The MBAFB shut down shortly after those days & everyone moved away.

Cecil, GOD is Just. Have you heard of Moses? In Genesis, Abraham was promised several amazing things, a son from his 'wife', in their old age, etc. Gen. 12:2,3,7, but also that those heirs would be servant in strange land & afflicted 400 yrs. Genesis 15:12-13, if you read in depth you can find GOD's justice. Genesis 12:10-17, Genesis 16:1-16, Genesis 21:9-19 = it was in Egypt, Abraham's children of Sarah's son Isaac's offspring were afflicted.

Genesis 18, shows great mercy of GOD that if 10 righteous were in that land (Sodom & Gomorrah) it would've been spared. That's his Nephew Lot's friends & family. ?, Right here is proof the GOD interecedes on People's behalf when they obey HIM.

GOD's ways are not our ways, Isaiah 55:8,9,

We cannot blame GOD for wickedness of man = Genesis 6:5-6,

Yet GOD shows us mercy & unimaginable love, John 3:16-17, salvation through sacrifice, Psalms 18:25-27,

GOD is merciful, true & Just. If you read the books that go alongside Isaiah you'll get a clearer picture: 2Chronicles 36, Jeremiah 29, Jeremiah 51, Exodus 22:22, Isaiah 1:17, Isaiah 1:23, Jeremiah 7:6, Jeremiah 22:3, Ezekiel 22:7, Malachi 3:5, Zechariah 7:10, you can start with those verses because that's most of what GOD asked of Israel & Judah. Then please read the Books & chapters.

Then Babylon: 2Kings 20:12-18,19, Daniel 1, 2Kings 25:8-9, I stopped there because that's enough about the evil.

Interesting that you bring up Hezekiah, the LORD several times put that name in my thoughts. In 2 Chronicles 28:27 - 2 Chronicles 29, 30, 31, Hezekiah did much good. 2 Chronicle 32:30,

I felt a warning also about being like Hezekiah. In 2 Kings 18:16 , Hezekiah "cut off the gold from the doors of the temple of the LORD, and from the pillars._.' & gave it to the king of Assyira" I asked myself was it to save the people from war? Was it fear? Either way all that sacrifice & peace offering didn't stop the evil nor the attacks. 2 Kings 18:17-32, they even used that against Hezekiah when they mocked. 2 Kings 18:22, 2 Kings 18:29-30, 2 Chronicle 32, Isaiah 36:7-22,

Then Hezekiah came to Isaiah 2 Kings 19:1-5, & sought-after the LORD 2Kings 19:14-16,

Another warning I felt 2 Kings 20:12-18,

& 2Kings 20:19, he seemed unconcerned about the bad consequences Hezekiah himself had caused to his own offspring. 2 Chronicles 32:25-26, 2 Chronicles 32:27,

Alex, dear Alex. You just can't pull out a Scripture & build a teaching from it. You must look at all instances where these feasts are mentioned. You quoted Isaiah 1:10-16 where the Lord abhored these sacrifices & feasts because they came with evil in their hearts (v15), not because the new moon & feast observances were wrong.

Then if you look at 2 Chronicles 8:12-16, again there were similar offerings & remembrances made by Solomon, to which the Lord did not condemn. If the Lord is going to condemn something He has introduced or permitted, then He must condemn it in all instances of their performance. The difference was that in Isaiah, the condemnation was because of the filthiness of their hearts, likened to the people of Sodom & Gomorrah (v10).

Once we get the understanding of the Scriptures straight, then we can appreciate the rest of Scripture, or else, we can just make up things as we go along & go further & further from the Truth. It's true, Israel, in their history, probably disappointed the Lord more than they worshipped Him with clean hearts & pure motives, but all Scriptures pertaining to them must be looked at & correctly & judged as given - one cannot throw out the baby with the bath water.

I felt led to add. Years ago, I actually tried to observe the Sabbath as a Christian who never had beforehand. I learned much

1. to observe a Sabbath: you really have to plan

2 someone has to prepare beforehand

3. Shop for things beforehand

4. It opened my understanding of the scripture & GOD's compassion

Hello Isa. I wouldn't say that the Bible is a mnemonic (technical?) way to remember. It gives us a complete account of the times in history from the creation of the worlds to the 1st Century AD, as it applies to the Majesty, Wisdom & Power of God and His intervention in the lives of His creation. We can store in our minds a brief reason of each of the Bible Books & even maybe place them in chronological order, so as to be able to 'walk through the Bible', but the Bible itself doesn't assist our memory. The Holy Spirit Who moved amongst the writers of those Bible Books to bring God's Word to us, can also move in our hearts & minds to help us retain knowledge of His Word & bring it to our memories as we have need.

The Bible is a mnemotechnical way to remember our History.

That's close to how I had to learn that practicing astrology (star gazing) has a DEATH SENTENCE attached to it. Once I knew that, I immediately repented and the sins were forgiven. Isaiah 1:18

Obeying the world system, will eventually produce the Mark of the Beast. If we don't get the mark, we will starve.

TAKING THE MARK for the sake of eating food, automatically assigns a DEATH SENTENCE upon us, and our soul.

When we become aware of THE DEATH SENTENCE, we must REPENT and turn away from that temptation.

The 10 commandments, and the 2 new Commandments Jesus gave to us: carry death sentences if we disobey even just one of them.

Almost everyone tells lies routinely. That makes us guilty. It may seem harmless, but it's backed up with a death sentence.

Thank God that Jesus Christ came to earth to be THE LAMB OF GOD. He took all of our sins: known, unknown or forgotten, and was viciously CRUCIFIED in our place. He was sinless.

Is that worthy of praise? May we be mindful that Someone had to be put to death for our sins. There is no such thing as big sins or little sins.

GOD CANNOT LOOK UPON SIN. Without Jesus we are doomed. We cannot have fellowship with God. He will not listen to our prayers if we walk in unforgiveness against those who hurt us.

If we will choose God, we will be so wrapped up and tied up WITHIN HIS LOVE AND THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF JESUS CHRIST, we will know the meaning of true happiness and joy in our lives now. We will never fear what death does to us. Our FOREVER HOME is with our Savior and Lord.

Testimony: when I found out how bad sinning is, I was standing on top of a chair looking into a vision of hell's gaping jaws in my kitchen floor. Twisted roots, screams. But Jesus held out his hand towards me. I was petrified but I took it!!
