Verse 1 shows that the rule of Christ Jesus will be a righteous ruling. We look forward to the coming of that Kingdom where we will enjoy peaceful conditions.

This verse for me points to the completeness and perfection of God's protection for those who trust in his son Jesus Christ. The range of his protection is enough for each and every turmoil that may happen to us. The Wind, the storm, droughts and a shadow for the heat of the day in a thirsty land. Oh Rock of ages, I trust in Thee.

This chapter contains a gem of encouragement for the devout child of God in a convulsed world of crimes without end that spews unbelief and discouragement. It is the section of v. 13-17. If you have misgivings about embracing this book as revelation from the Lord because it is not 'canonical ' so to speak, mind that vs. 16-17 connects directly to the vision of Christ reigning through the Gospel of his glory in Isaiah 32:1-3 " Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment. 2 And a man the glorified Christ, our Savior shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land. 3 And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken. " Compare with v. 16-17 referred to above: "For the eyes of the Lord are upon them that love him, he is their mighty protection and strong stay, a defense from heat, and a cover from the sun at noon, a preservation from stumbling, and an help from falling. 17. He raiseth up the soul, and lighteneth the eyes: he giveth health, life, and blessing " Both passages are harbingers if blessing to the man of faith!

This verse means everything to me, as I draw it from the Promise Box in August of this year, I was deeply troubled unemployed and no place of my own and went to my prayer woman and intercessor for spiritual guidance ,before I left her house she pulled out the box and made me draw out any verse from the box, and it was Isaiah 32.18. I immediately felt at peace. 2 weeks ago I was nominated and chosen as the top 5 finalist to win a house for Xmas, the announcement will take place tomorrow, I trust in the Lord and will keep Him to His promise......pls pray for me fellow Christians Love and Respect Always Gillian

Nehemiah did five things after he received the report about destructions of Jerusalem. He was sober and sat down with repentance heart, he wept for their sins, he mourned with contrite heart, feeling regret and sorrow for days for Israelites's sins and their offenses against God. Nehemiah also denied himself of pleasure of food by fasting which also was for days and he prayed seeking for forgiveness of the nation of Israel. Isaiah 66 verse 2b says "But this the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word." Believers in Christ, all people alike should do these five things in seeking God's mercy upon our nation for restoration, healing and blessings. God is looking for a contrite heart and humble spirit. The question is, will you pray for this nation like Nehemiah?. It was him alone that pray for Jerusalem at that time, me and you can pray for our nation, homes, schools and body of Christ in like manner. God said, He will look on us and restore, heal and safe us. The question is what did you with bad news you heard about this nation, homes, schools and about things happening in the body of Christ. Complacency have taken over. Let us take up the task to be concerned with the situation of our nation, schools and homes; Amos 6:1 and Isaiah 32:11, let us meditate prayerfully on these bible verses and pray for Holy Spirit to ignite our prayer life to pray for our nation this year 2014 and henceforth.
