We are not to add or take away from what is written. Isaiah 54:7 says what it says. It did not say for punishment it clearly stated I make peace and create evil: I the Lord do all these things. We are not to try to guess or second guess what we think God meant to say.

Isaiah 45:7 "I form the light, I create darkness: I make peace, I create evil: I the LORD do all these things."
I do not believe there are two kinds of evil. This verse tells us the Lord is responsible for "all" these things.
Evil people are wicked, they cause destruction and they will end in destruction. Amen.

To Word: Yes, Isaiah 45:21 tells us that, "... there is no GOD else beside Me..." Here, in this passage, "GOD" is also, the Hebrew word, "Elohiym" - plural (more than one).
Look at this passage: "...I am He; I am the first and the last... the LORD GOD and His Spirit hath SENT ME." Isaiah 48:12,16. This is Jesus, who was sent to this world by His Father and the Spirit.

Irene123 Right. Isaiah 45:21,22 God tells us there is only One God and He is the Saviour. Isaiah 7:14 God came and was born through woman because Immanuel translates God with us. John chapter 1:1,2,3 Christ the Word is God Creator of all things. I think that the Holy of God who listened from above to the flesh of God in the garden is One being they join together in the Revelation at the end.

VERSE 7 SAYS GOD CREATED EVIL. MY CONFUSION IS ; EVIL CANNOT EXIST WITHOUT BEING USED. IF GOD CREATED EVIL HE HAD TO KNOW WE WOULD USE IT. HOW???? WHY???
WASNT BEING BORN INTO SIN HARD ENOUGH.
  • Lu2677 on James 1 - 8 years ago
    V. 13 says "God cannot be tempted with evil." Isaiah 45:5-7 says that God creates evil. God created all things, including evil.
"Tempted" is not the same as creates. Romans 11:36 "For of him, through him, and to him are all things, to whom be glory forever, Amen." "all things" would include evil.

So when reading scripture and you come across Jeremiah 1 and see God knew Jeremiah before and ordained him in his mothers womb and you notice that God loved Jacob but hated Esau you must know that to hate someone you have to had lived with them as with love the same. • Word on Isaiah 45 - 8 years ago
We learn in proverbs 8 God with His wisdom He created a beautiful earth and wisdom doesn't created chaos. Without form and void means it was a wilderness. In 2 Peter 3:5 to 7 you see the earth that was had been submerged in water and that was the first flood of Jeremiah 4. Back to 2 Peter 3:7 you see Peter saying, this earth now that I'm standing on is kept in store reserved until Judgment day.

In Jeremiah 4:22 to 27 when God got mad at Satan our Father made the earth Void and if you look up the word WAS its 1961 in the Hebrew hayah and it means BECAME without form and void in Genesis chapter 1 vs 2. The earth was not created without form and void God told us in this 18th verse He established it perfection implied and formed it Himself. God knew Jeremiah an God Knows us FIRST EARTH AGE.

This is an awesome chapter wherein God is revealing to men of all ages and generations He is omnipotent, omniscience and omnipresence and we have nowhere to hide from him because darkness will expose and light will reveal; all things are by Him and from Him and He destines every purpose. HOW GREAT THOU ART OH LORD.

  • Word on Isaiah 45 - 9 years ago
Sue God created a beautiful earth to be inhabited and as you read in Job 38 vs 7 where God is speaking of His creation He tells us all the stars, children, and all the sons of God rejoiced, shouted for joy as they did in Proverbs 8 vs 30. We were there and as you read the Book you will see that God knew Jeremiah before he was in his mothers womb and then you will learn How God love Jacob and hated Esau because God lived with them before. The word WAS in Genesis one verse two is became without form and void and it turn to a wilderness because Satan stole a third of Gods children written in Revelation 12 vs 4 and cast them to earth as God also does His children written in Matt 13 vs 36 to 44. Satan tried to steal Gods throne and attempted to and got cast down and sentence to death written in Ezekiel 28 vs 18,19. Anyway I hope that helps.

Hi Jess's out of your sincere heart keep seeking the word of God for yourself and you will find that every word of God is true and yes you must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ as in Acts Chap.19 as some speak against as the people did in verse 9 in this chap.but study the word for yourself cause people will deceive you cause of the lack of knowledge. I'm speaking to you about this because of my own experience I came thru 4 different religious groups that never made a difference in my life and I'm not talking against anyone but this is my personal testimony when I got baptized in the wonderful name of JESUS.. I have never been that same person and you will feel a load lift up off you and be very eager to tell everyone you see I'm so excited that you are looking for answers just keep reading the word of God and you will find him. Read Isaiah 45:21-23, where every knee shall bow.. Philippians 2:10 God Bless You.
  • Essoun on Revelation 11 - 9 years ago
The two witnesses in Rev 11 are both Isaiah and Paul. The olive tree is always remembered with the mind set on Isaiah. A lampstand represents church in Rev 1:20. Then Paul comes into mind when the churches are mentioned. Many witnesses come to mind when the olive tree and the lampstand ref. Rev 11:4 are mentioned. But the greatest of these witness of Jesus Christ were Isaiah and Paul. The death of Isaiah and Paul remains a mystery till now. The death of the two will be seen by all. These two witnesses if they are dead or were taken to heaven must have been written in the Bible. The two witnesses are Isaiah and Paul and they have the power do signs and wonders ref. Rev 11:6 . Remember Paul 's sayings: "I can do all things through Christ who strenghtens me " ref Philippians 4:13 . Read: Isaiah 45:7, 1 Thes 4:13-18, John 21:22-23. God bless you for reading. Jesus is the answer

Love this bible verse it is plain and straight to the point, man was to inherit the earth not heaven.
  • Grant on Revelation 1:8 - 9 years ago
This comment is for Ann. Your reference to Isaiah 45:5 and 6 is supported by Jesus 's own prayer to his God and father the night before he was to be betrayed, tried, humiliated and tortured to death. At John 17:3, Jesus identifies the only true God.Trinitarians will always have trouble with the word "only ".
  • Celyne on Isaiah 45:7 - 9 years ago
God is the creator and the cause of everything. But we must bear in mind that God FAVORS everything that is good, true and just. He even urges us to do good. He is fair for He rewards those who follow His will and punishes those who don 't. He divides light life wisdom from darkness death fool. He keeps the dead unbeliever in the dark. He let the living believers understand and appreciate His ways. Everything God does is good. Truly, God is good. To God be the glory.
