WHO IS JESUS? PLEASE STUDY YOUR SCRIPTURE: Revelation 1:11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. AND VERSE 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: AND AGAIN IN REVELATION 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. ----BUT IN ISAIAH 44:"Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God." AND AGAIN ISAIAH 48:12Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.---WHY HE IS THE FIRST? BECAUSE HE IS THE BEGINNING OF ALL: GENESIS 1:1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. AND HE IS THE LAST: ECCLESIASTES 12:7Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.--- AND AGAIN IN MATTHEW 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. AND ALSO IN ( MARK 14:24; LUKE 22:20; AND IN 1 CORINTHIANS 11:25) ALL OF THESE VERSES DECLARED ABOUT THE NEW COVENANT. BUT THE COVENANT IS EVERLASTING IN EXODUS 31:16"Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant." AND AGAIN IN LEVITICUS 24:8Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.---THERE IS A CONTINUATION (NEXT COMMENT)

Brother Perry, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

God's WILL BE DONE in you battle with cancer.

Most have not been taught the truth about FAITH. Let's let scripture give insight to truth.

Philippians 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is THROUGH THE FAITH OF CHRIST, the righteousness which is of God by FAITH (OF CHRIST).

James 2:17 Even so FAITH (OF CHRIST), if it hath not works (OF CHRIST), is alone.

Man does nothing of himself ALL IS THE GIFT (WORKS) OF GOD.

If we apply these scriptures to Jesus and the woman with the issue of blood, we she her being healed by the faith that went from him to her. Faith and works (healing).

We know it was HIS FAITH and HIS WORKS because he told his followers that he felt virtue go out of him into her.

When Christ GIVES you his faith, his faith is followed by his works. Natural and physical healing often times is not the works being done, but spiritual healing.

Isaiah 43:7 .... I have created him for MY GLORY ....

Isaiah 48:11 ...and I will not give MY GLORY to another .....

Go in the FAITH and WORKS OF CHRIST and HIS WILL BE DONE in this battle (natural and spiritual).

    Ron,

At Revelation 21's point, it's post seventh trumpet, so when is comes to God and Jesus, the two have become virtually interchangeable. Jesus proclaimed Himself to be the "Alpha and Omega" in Revelation 1:8; 21:6; and in 22:13, where Jesus identifies himself as "the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end" in red words.

    There's more:

Isaiah 44:6 "I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God".

Isaiah 48:12 "I am he; I am the first, I also am the last"

Jesus is the Word, a prime mover, who speaks in unison with the Great God Almighty.

    John 10:30 sums it up.

    Hi Paul,

I think it's misleading when we think of God as having a presence like us. In those verses you place Jesus sitting beside God and there you have the son sitting beside the Father. But I don't think that's what those verses is saying. Here's an example.

Psalms 16:8.I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Now do you vision God sitting down beside David ? are is David referring to him as the power in which he shall not be moved?

Here's another example of him being the power.

Luke 22:69. Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.

The right hand/power is an attribute in which he performs within the God head. Here's some examples.

Exodus 15:6. Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.

Isaiah 41:10. Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Romans 8:34. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Isaiah 48:13. Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.

This is just a few of many verses in which you see

He makes intercession from his right hand.

He makes us righteousness from his right hand.

His power is his right hand.

He judges from the right hand.

And as Isaiah 48:13 says along with the volume of the book

He created the world with his right hand.

So those verses proves He's God!! That why in Revelation 1:8 he's called the Almighty!!

Revelation 1:8 (KJV) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

There are probably other related portions in Scripture, but the first one, the more familiar one, is found in 2 Chronicles 1:1-12 (the whole account) & particularly verses 9-12. I love that portion which ever reminds me that desiring wealth, a long life or even retribution on those who hate you are not the sort of things that a true servant of God should seek. But to have wisdom (i.e. to act wisely on the things that God has put into your mind, your heart, your life) is preeminent. So Solomon not only delighted God's Heart in his request for wisdom to judge God's people righteously, but also God also gave him those things that he didn't ask for, the things Solomon considered least important.

So the New Testament counterpart of this Truth is in Matthew 6:33: "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." And James 1:5: "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."

Please remember that the sons of God have come for the pulling down of this world's 'Strongholds', religion being the strongest of them all ( 2 Cor. 10:4; Luke 11:21-23).

When it comes to the Medical Profession, please know that the believers live by faith, as the true and living God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob is their guide in all things. Remember how God took care of a host of 2m people for forty years. He fed them and provided them with water and other essentials. Even their shoes and garments didn't wear out. Also remember that out of the original group that crossed the Red Sea only Joshua & Caleb crossed the Jordan River. All the rest died in the wilderness, while only the new generation crossed the Jordan.

Rather than speaking from personal experience, we believe that the most effective way to be taught and to come to the understanding of 'The Chastening of the Lord' is by the Word of God itself

Chris. Still on Page 3. You say that after the Fall "the Purpose of God in Creation was thwarted". I am certain you don't believe that. You just haven't examined the thought. What does the Bible say about God and His Purpose? It specifically says it cannot be thwarted. The Purpose of God will stand.

Isaiah 14:24, 26-27 - The LORD of Hosts has sworn: "Surely, as I have planned, so will it be; as I have purposed, so will it stand. This the plan devised for the whole earth, and this is the hand stretched out over all the nations. The LORD of Hosts has purposed, and who can thwart Him? His hand is outstretched, so who can turn it back?

Ephesians 1:4-5 - According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.

Isaiah 46:9-11 - Remember what happened long ago, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me. I distinguish the end from the beginning, and ancient times from what is still to come, saying: 'My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure.' I summon a bird of prey from the east, a man for My purpose from a far-off land. Truly I have spoken, truly I will bring it to pass. I have planned it, I will surely do it.

Isaiah 48:3 - I foretold the former things long ago; they came out of My mouth and I proclaimed them.

Suddenly I acted, and they came to pass.

Acts 4:28 - They carried out what Your hand and purpose had decided beforehand would happen.

Daniel 4:35 - All the peoples of the earth are counted as nothing, and He does as He pleases with the army of heaven and the peoples of the earth. There is no one who can restrain His hand or say to Him, 'What have You done?'"

The confidence we have is that God is trustworthy. He is not fickle. If God says we will be eternally perfect, we will be. If God had created Adam and Eve perfect, they would have been. And neither they, nor the devil would have rebelled against God.

God has many names. My favorite is the "I AM" . The particular person is The Father , and the Son. These two being one, together in the creation of the universe, while at the same time creating the Holy spirit , which returns to man through faith in the redemption of the Father and the Son . Being revealed through the Word. The word was made flesh and dwelt among us. John;3;16 His only begotten Son . Begotten from all eternity. We can have this same unity of love, given through Christs sacrifice "ATONEMENT".

Above, they and we also, considered ourselves of GOD and for GOD, BUT our CREATOR knowing our heart, HE again had or have to sit them and us down and plead with both of us. Both they above and we today was not deserving of HIS blessing nevertheless where applicable GOD blessed and blessed both, and both have been very unappreciative of the thousands of HIS blessing where applicable. I was the blind leader of the unthankful pack until I applied John 3:16-21 and now by the POWER OF GOD I can see, and thankful for SALVATION, life, sunshine, rain, corn bread on the table, 2-pair shoes, not being mean and angry, protection from dangers seen and unseen. Thank GOD for MERCY and John 3:16-21.

Beware the haughty who accuse with back-biting, trash talking, mud slinging, hatred, vengeance retribution.Their tongues are vile, for they curse their brothers sisters, fathers mothers then proudly say 'I am righteous!' These will see feel in pain their own tongues dance in flames but not ever be consumed. TEST ALL YOU HEAR TURN TO GOD!

The Lord's Name is really Jesus! Yeshua, Saviour, Yehovah will save. Christ is the Anglicized pronunciation of the Greek Xristos, or, Christos; meaning Anointed, Moshiach. Every Book of the Bible has a certain aspect of Christ depicted; and the thing aimed at, the full acomplishment of the Law and the Prophets, and the Psalms and Holy Writings, IS JESUS CHRIST COME IN THE FLESH, SAVIOUR AND KING!

I have a question for this comment. What is the name of the Lord? Is it Just the name Jesus? Or does the Bible describe in detail what His Name really is? God bless.

Steve Morrow; Great Scriptures! But do you know who the LORD was referring to? He was speaking to the disobedient and the defiantly hateful and hostile ones; NOT to His beloved Elect who seek to please Him with every thought word and deed, and to walk in truth and holiness before Him IN JESUS' NAME! Seeking to be holy and obedient, and preaching to others to do the same, is not of the devil!

To Word: Yes, Isaiah 45:21 tells us that, "... there is no GOD else beside Me..." Here, in this passage, "GOD" is also, the Hebrew word, "Elohiym" - plural (more than one).
Look at this passage: "...I am He; I am the first and the last... the LORD GOD and His Spirit hath SENT ME." Isaiah 48:12,16. This is Jesus, who was sent to this world by His Father and the Spirit.

Romans 10:18 "But I say; Have they not heard? Yes, verily their sound went Into all the earth and their words unto the ends of the world." The "sound" "their words" is telling the gospel of Christ. Some false teachers say everyone has not heard the gospel. God says everyone has heard it.

Just recently the New Horizon spaceship took a 9 year, 3 billion mile journey to the planet Pluto, traveling at 34,000mph. That entire journey took place somewhere in GOD! Putting that journey in the frame or man's understanding, can you even begin to imagine the eternity of the existance of Our God? No! God is immense, vast, immeasurable, bondless, measureless, infinite, unbounded, illimitable. In 1Kings 8:27, it is written that the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him. There are about 200billion stars in just the Milky Way galaxy, the sun being just one star. There is an estimate of more than 100billion galaxies in the universe. So I guess that Our God should be able to handle our earthly situations which seem to us to be so monstrous. Those of us who do, must stop trying to put God in a box. He who created the earth by his power, established the world by his wisdom, and stretched out the heavens at his discretion, is more that qualified and able to handle anything Satan throws at us. After all," All things were made by him and without him was not any thing made that was made".

Our God is a forgiving God, John 3:16 For God so love the World that He gave his only begotten Son Jesus Christ that whoever believes in him will not be perish but have everlasting life. God loves us so much and thanks to Jesus for his precious blood that shed for us, his blood is a symbol for his mercy and love to us. We are now saved and pardoned by God 's grace. We must accept God into our life and obey his commandments until rapture. Jesus loves us so much and he is faithful to his promises. We must follow and live like Jesus we shall walk with faith and not by sight. Life without God we cant do anything
