To have a contrite spirit means we feel guilt or remorse over our wrongdoing and seek repentance in place of our sin

A contrite spirit is a broken heart that no one can understand or fix, except the almighty.

He is waiting for us to recognise our faults/sins, that we have (all) broken the law, and come short of the glory of the Father.

then we can repent with our heart's to come to our father as little children being born again in the spirit.

Believing you are forgiven of sin for Jesus Christ sake! This would be a contrite spirit, what flows from your heart after being born again, are rewards from heaven itself!

What is contrite spirit

This is a Call from God for me.

It would be helpful if Bible scholars in here would look up the ancient names of those scriptures mention of places in China. What are their names now?

I will tell a part of my full testimony. My salvation was akin to Pauls on the Damascus road. Later, after all the getting free from spiritual warfare; I would hear accusations against me in my mind, about sins, hating my ex, having hurtful thoughts; hating myself. People who told me to my face that anyone as bad as I had been could not possibly be saved. I didn't FEEL worthy. I thought I would let Jesus off the "hook". I saw a vision of Him on the cross but it was laying on the ground. I picked up a big rock and started hitting the nails in his hands. He was looking in my eyes ( that were streaming in tears.). Every time I hit him, He said, I Love You. I couldn't hurt Him anymore. I felt his arms around me. I woke.

I gave him all I had ever been or done; all the memories of sin that hurt like a crown of thorns. Maybe it was faith but I asked Him to erase all the memories of sin from me. He did it. Those memories are just gone. Who I had been, was buried.

I had to learn new things, like the joy of my Salvation.

In my experience, the Holy Spirit is not an authoritarian that frowns when we miss the mark, Don't learn faster, don't look like other Christians that seem to have it all figured out. That's not Him. If we give all our preconceived perceptions of Him, TO HIM; He gives us the new Life of a beloved child of God. You can have as much of heaven, NOW, as you give yourself freedom to take. "Taste and see the Goodness of the Lord." YOU are why He went to the Cross. He looked all the way forward 2000 years and saw your face.

Give Him your life (alpha, omega), and you take His Life .... as in cutting a covenant.

Then as His Bride, Song of Solomon 6:3, 7-10; Isaiah 49:14-18, 22:-26, I am the Lord: they shall not be ashamed that wait for Me!

The word good in V. 34 means useful. In those days, salt was a preservative. They put salt on things to keep it from putrefying. But if salt does not contain the proper ingredients, what is it good for? Jesus talks about salt and light in Matt 5:13-16. He says, "You are the salt of the earth." At this point and time in experiencing the fullness of God, He says, YOU ARE the salt of the earth. And then He says, "YOU ARE the light of the world." Salt was used for two things. It was used as a preservative. They used it to preserve food, especially meat and vegetables. They also used it for purification. In 2 Kings 2:19-23, salt was used to purify bad water.

But to know why He used the term salt, we need to understand that God made a covenant of salt with Israel ( Numbers 18:19), which God said would be upon David and his descendants. Paul in Romans Chapter 11 said all of the Jews of the Kingdom. In Matt 5:14-16, Jesus says you are salt and you are light. He went on to say that you can't take a light and put it under a bushel.

What He is saying is you can't snuff out the light of the Lord. The light amongst the Jews was the Messiah. You are salt. Christ in you is the light, and Christ in you is the purification and the preservative for the people around you and especially in your life.

The command is let your light so shine. Did you ever sing that song "This little light of mine, not going to let anybody blow it out? It can't be blown out. Nobody can blow it out. The command itself, (let your light so shine) kind of sounds like an invitation. But literally, it is "Shine your light," which is a command of God. Shine your light! I don't have to worry about going out to my car to find the light because the Lord said for me to shine it. Israel was said to be the light of the world. Isaiah 42:6, Isaiah 49:6, and Isaiah 60:3 says that the Jews were to be the salt and the light of the world.

This particular book Isaiah 49 chapter talks about how good the Lord is to his people. He will have to punish them for their misdeeds; no wick sin go unpunish,because our God is a just God; but in their punishment in time God will restore them.as well as the getiles. By bring Jesus to the forefront. Too die for the sins, that man, can't help for doing , of the world. Too give us, if we believe in jesus, a chance at the tree of life.

Sue, the word 'listen' is not often used ( Isaiah 49:1). 'Hear' & "Hearken' are often used. These generally have the implied meaning to not only listen with the ears, but to do in action.

Definitely referring to Christians. It's addressed to the whole world, not Israel specifically as Isaiah 48 is addressed. God gives many promises to the gentiles in this passage, to the point that Zion (a reference to Israel) cries out, "You've forgotten us!" God uses comforting language after Zion's concern is expressed. It reminds me of the prodigal son's brother who can't believe how well his father is treating the prodigal; but the father comforts and reminds him that he still has an inheritance. I read that this is the regathering of Israel in a commentary, but I don't see that anywhere in this passage. A parallel passage is in Revelation 7:15-16; and it's clear that this is a reference to people of all nations, tribes, tongues, people, etc...

Above, we learn again of the love of god because above he extended his mercy and salvation to all. notice above how god, at his timing, extends his mercy to the whole human race when one by one none of us do not deserve his mercy. above we learn god mercy once extended has salvation so close behind his mercy the two, mercy and salvation appear joined together. jehovah, god is so good, he allow his blessings to be extended to all above, plus gather all unto him who will come, thereby all who will come to him shall be at the marriage supper of the lamb. see john 3:16-21 as it direct us to salvation.

He says kings shall be your Nursing fathers and Queens your nursing Mothers which is symbolic language for men and women giving birth to a BABY CHRIST WHICH IS THE H.G. THE NEW HEAVENLY BIRTH. She brought forth a man child, The woman is humanity that is nursing a baby Christ the Son of Man. The scripture is actually about the suffering Jews. It is not talking about Jesus and his followers.

This scripture is about the suffering Christian. It lets us know that God may not come when you want him,but he’s right on time. No matter the suffering those that caused that suffering wasn’t just fighting against you,but against God. He’ll give them a dose of their own medicine upto the death penalty. Your may not believe in God or his judgment but they will after that (bad luck) judgment comes.

Verses 1-7 A wonderful expose of our Lord and Saviour, his work, his mission, his life,his sufferings. The Fathers work of Salvation in sending his word in the form of Jesus his son ( John 1). Verses 8-26 The gathering of his people in the end times out of the nations, and the reestablishment of his covenant with his people which you see spoken of throughout the testimonies of the prophets.

Jaydee; BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS! I don't listen to those self aggrandizing spirits that come up to you saying, "Oh, You have a special revelation and are the holy Messenger of God!" Try the spirits whether they are of God! The first proof of the Holy Spirit's work in us is TRUTH, and the TRUTH acknowledged must always have the effect of showing us that we are good for nothing of ourselves.

When I was spoken to by my Almighty Creator who chose a messenger from heaven I was given an important message that became fulfilled prophesy of Isaiah and Revelation 12:4,5; Hebrews 1:6, and Matt. 1:23; I was told a woman and not a church and not the nation of Israel would and has since given birth to the male child. But churches attribute that prophesy to their churches or Zionist Israel.
