    Ron,

According to multiple resources, including Wikipedia, and most importantly according to the internal testimony of the Bible: Isaiah was a contemporary of Amos, Hosea and Micah, and began his ministry in 740 BC., the year King Uzziah died ( Isaiah 6:1). It is estimated that it was written by Isaiah during two primary periods between 740 BC and 686 BC during his life and ministry.

Please pray for me. My name is Jordan. Please pray God will heal and cure my OCD / Scrupulosity or stop anything that is causing blasphemous thoughts from coming ever again in my life ( Isaiah 53:5). Please pray God will give me a sound mind ( 2 Tim 1:7) and a mind of Christ ( 1 Corinthians 2:16)! The right mindset ( Philippians 2:5-8) and strength, knowledge and wisdom to tear down strongholds ( 2 Corinthians 10:4). Please pray God will please send and position His angels to fight battles for me especially in mornings when I wake up to guard me ( Psalm 4:8). Please pray God will never forsake or leave me and keep me close in His heart!. Please pray in Jesus name amen.

There seems to be an asterisk in the 1611 A.D. scan which refers to the footnote scripture references on the right side: Isaiah 53:4 and 1 Peter 2:24 it appears.

GOD owns it all and HE is worthy of ALL praise! When we as a people know this, we will be blessed by GOD. His promise is to us throughout scripture...and by HIS wounds, we are healed, Isaiah 53:5.

Jesus never sinned your right. However,Jesus became worse than sin, he became sin himself 2nd Cor 5:21. Fulfilling Isaiah 53:10. Jesus may never have sinned but my sin killed Jesus. Col 2:13-15. Today through that Jesus that was made sin I am free and clear from all sin. An ex-sinner saved by grace. An ex-sinner is a righteous person Romans 6:18. Pain I rebuke in Jesus name and it goes away.

It could be the script of an archetype. The rational person is bound by his rational dictates so will not react to the absurdities of masses. Jesus was loved by his disciples and others. It was only the religious and ruling authorities who misrepresented his sayings for his growing influence over the masses.

What an amazing example of God knowing the beginning from the end. Precious Jesus is the ultimate example of a selfless servant while being the King of Glory as well. When he comes in power again, no one will hang him on a cross. Get ready!

My dear no man have seen God nor herd his voice. Please let the word be true . Jesus asked , who do men say that I the son of man am. Peter said you are the Son Of God. search your bible it will tell you the reason for the virgin birth. For there is one mediator between God and man the man Christ Jesus . Luke wrote in the book of acts, that Paul went straight way preaching that Jesus was the son

Many people of Luke's day set out to write about the things they had seen and heard of Jesus Christ. Luke had perfect understanding in all things from beginning to end, and decided to write the best and most reliable record of who Jesus Christ was and why he came. He gives details of how John was born through natural conception and Jesus through Miraculous conception - God come in the flesh!

Amen. We are all inexcusable! I'm so glad that HE looked beyond our filthy sins the fact that we often repeat the same sin but inspite of knowing this HE still loved us so much that HE completed HIS mission. HE KNEW that the majority would reject HIM still go 2 hell but that didn't stop HIM....HIS love will never be truly comprehended by mankind! Thank you LORD for loving a wretch like me!

Have you ever walked on the beach and felt GOD walking next to you? Did you wonder if He ever carried you thru your hardships and trials? Have you prayed for Him to come closer- did you feel His arm around you? Did you feel the calmness surround you, as your feet touched the sand as you walked along. Silence is golden- don't you see- how you can hear Him as He walks slowly: ALWAYS KEEP GOD CLOSE!

I've been trying to understand John 3:16. Most people tell me it simply means God saved the entire, physical world. If that's the case, there wouldn't be a sacrifice to be made ("Lamb slain from the foundation of the world" - Rev. 13:8).

The last part of Isaiah 53:12 tells me not everyone will be saved: "and he bare the sin of many". The thought of Christ dying for everyone violates this verse.

As a believer in the LORD JESUS CHRIST as MY REDEEMER, for 60 years now, and His mercies are new every morning. Great is Thy faithfulness
    Lord unto me.
Isaiah 53 since the Lord saved me has been memorized little by little, and for me it is the foundational Scripture to which I resort every day,my advice to every believer, hide Isaiah 53 in your heart, live it daily, you will not sin against GOD!

I am guilty of the sufferings that was meted out to our Lord on that Awful Day. He did it for the Sins of the World. It does not matter if you believe it or not, He did it for you, because He Loves you. He made us; then He had to Buy us back from the pit-of-hell. What a price He had to pay. His ultimate, His Life. Why is it so hard to receive His Free Gift of ETERNAL LIFE? What is your excuse?

the chapter above, SALVATION was through the shed BLOOD OF A LAMB; when we fast forward to the days of Jesus, nothing changed as it relates to SALVATION; it is through the shed BLOOD OF THE LAMB; St, John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

This is the most profound healing scripture my soul has found rest on, because of the word 'surely' in verse 4. I believe that all grieves and sorrows have been carried away. I found streght in the finished work of Jesus. I am undergoing cancer treatment at the moment and the results have been amazing. I know He has carrief them away. Halleluyah!!
  • Marie Chapman on Isaiah 53 - 6 years ago
The reason, I believe, Isaiah 53 was written in future, present, and past tenses is because it was given by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and He is omniscience (all knowing)
  • Dianne Johnson on Isaiah 53 - 6 years ago
It is a scripture which I live by, and continue to exist. I quote it, have posted it, and reread it often. I am thankful to GOD for healing me many times!!!!
