This verse was mentioned in "Stones of Rememberance" by Fuchsia Pickett.....i have read and studied this book many times....her narratives of her visions and visits from and with God feel like I'm with her......i spent a half day with him about 8 years ago and praying believing and waiting on my next one! Hallelujah!!!!! I love you Lord! Honor to have your goft of discernment. I pray for more understanding. I want people to know Your word is life and life is your word. We follow your word consistently in the order we should then we will have balance. "Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is Lord"

Lighton Everything thing that man needs to be complete is written in the bible 2 Timothy 3:16+17, your not dealing with theology which is man's idea of how God works. The word is God saying behold what I have done through my son either we believe or not, as it says in Isaiah 55:8+9. God Bless

    Saints equal with God?

I am curious to know where you encountered this concept.

To be equal with God we must first judge God's value and merit.

One quick response is that the Jews sought to stone Jesus when they perceived His claim of equality with God, as in John 5:18.

    Also look at

I John 3:20 - God is greater than our hearts

Psalm 61:2 - God is higher than us

Psalm 89:27 - God will make Christ higher than the kings of the Earth

Ecclesiastes 5:8 - God is higher than the highest

    If you will know them by their fruits, let's look to our ways;

Isaiah 55:9 - God's ways are infinitely higher than ours

Job 15:6 - We are unclean

Isaiah 64:6 - NOTHING we do could measure up to God's righteousness

That is a very big and significant thing to say, to claim anyone as an equal with God.

As a comparison, there is one very heretical sect which believes we will judge God.

Clearly, just based upon the references I have listed, their claim is not the least bit credible.

Such statements cannot stand of their own merit nor of that of their speaker.

Equality with God or standing in judgment of God would be enormous claims requiring substance to back them up.

Big claims are either big truths or big falsehoods. Not everyone can determine the difference.

You may or may not be a great theologian or an academic authority.

Even such titles wouldn't be enough for a common joe like me.

Being that this is a Biblical site, answers of that magnitude carry credibility only when they are backed by Scriptural reference.

    Otherwise;

If I wanted to debate you, it would be difficult because I don't see here where your basis is or how to clarify a dissent.

If I wanted to agree with you, well, again, your basis is not shown, so I would be at some degree of loss in composing a reply.

On any subject, but especially such a profound claim, let authority be Sola Scriptura and let Scripture interpret Scripture.

    Hi Shaarei.

    Here's another you might like.

Isaiah 55:10-11. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

    DR MICHAEL HOARE,

( Leviticus 20:8-9) And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you.

9 For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.

If taken literally, it is a disturbing thought. The character of God in the OT is a soul taker, unlike NT Jesus, a dream-maker.

The next time you question God's workings, why He does these things to us, things that make no sense, refer to this:

( Isaiah 55:8) For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. We can't comprehend the reason; we have faith.

Brother Adam, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

John 6:38 For I (the word, Christ) am come down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him (Father) who SENT (the word) me (Christ).

1 John 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father has SENT the SON (HIS WORD) to be SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD.

Most Christians DON'T BELIEVE GOD'S WORD.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my (Father's) word (CHRIST) be that goeth forth out of my (Father's) mouth: it (word, CHRIST) shall not return unto me void, but it (word, CHRIST) shall accomplish that which I please, and it (word, CHRIST) shall prosper in the THING (to be saviour of the world) whereto I SENT IT (word, CHRIST).

I had the same thought in Isaiah 55:1- I was reminded in John 19:28 when Jesus says "I Thirst". Something on the inside of me said He is thirsting after Righteousness, thirsting after the living God, thirsting for the Living God but realizing He (God) is in Him(Jesus)..so He (Jesus) was missing that once was in Him

Why not all people come to salvation today

john 12:37-40 therefore they could not believe, because esaias (god's words on his tongue) saith .....

luke 22:67 art thou the christ? tell us. and he said (god's word's) unto them, if i tell you, ye will not believe.

these words came out of god's mouth and god said his words would not return unto him void.

    isaiah 55:11

philippians 1:9 for unto you it is given in the behalf of christ, not only to believe on him ....

no one can believe unless god's causes them to believe.

john 6:29 .....this is the work of god, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent....

2 thessalonians 2:11 and for this cause (unbelief) god shall send them a strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.

2 timothy 2:13 if we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

luke 3:13 ... exact no more than that which is appointed to you.

jeremiah 46:17 ....pharaoh king of egypt, is but a noise; he hath passed the time appointed.

psalms 102:20 to hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those appointed to death.

job 23 :14 for he performeth the thing that is appointed for me.....

1 peter 2:8 a stone of stumbling, a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient, whereunto they were also appointed.

there but by the grace of god, go i.

    Hi Bob,

You never answered my question from the last post.

Though you seem to have your own idea and don't think God can do anything He wants?

Again we use Scripture. It is truth. If you don't believe the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are ONE. You are just not believing Scripture.

Try not to think your earthly mind can understand the ways of the Lord. Isaiah 40:28, Isaiah 55:8-9.

    God Bless.
  • Richard in Christ - In Reply on John 2 - 3 years ago
    Hi Bob,

Obviously you took my post incorrectly. I'll try using Scriptures again.

I never said Christ and the Father was not a relationship. You brought this up. I never said Christ is the Father or the Father is Christ as it seems you took it. I know it's a Father Son relationship. Again John 10:30, John 14:11, John 17:21. Revelation 3:21. For a couple.

Some say the Father being in Christ means He left Heaven. God spoke from Heaven several times proving that false. Matthew 3:17, Matthew 17:5, John 12:28.

Here are a couple stating the Spirit of Truth or Holy Ghost as He/Him: John 14:17, John 14:26. Putting the three in ONE as in 1 John 5:7.

As I've been trying to answer your questions though you seemed to have veered from mine. No one knows the depths and ways of God. He can do anything He wants. Isaiah 40:28, Isaiah 55:8-9. Just like giving all His power and authority to His Son so we honor Him just as we honor the Father. Matthew 28:18, John 5:22-23. Not knowing your beliefs on this but no one can say Christ did not exist before He was born here. Christ Himself stated this and there are other Scriptures that back this up also. John 17:4-5. All I do is use the Scriptures. I have no private interpretation as that is not what the Scriptures are for. 2 Peter 1:20.

Nothing is falling apart for me. I've given you many Scriptural verses as I have not seen one from you. Also I really don't even know your motive for making the first post the other night. The reason I made the reply is because you said something about a "man made trinity doctrine". Which I showed you is not man made it's Biblical.

Still not getting into how many titles the Father and Son share. Not knowing if it would make any difference to you.

I'm not here to argue and don't take my post that way please. You may have your own view.

Again as I hope I've answered your questions. I'll just leave the one again.

Do you believe the Scriptures I've posted?

    Thank you. God Bless.

Richard, may the Spirit grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding

Isaiah 55:11 So shall MY WORD BE that goeth forth out of MY MOUTH, IT SHALL NOT RETURN UNTO ME VOID, but it shall accomplish that which I PLEASE, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I SENT IT.

Most (in the age we are in now) want believe (ALL GOD'S WORDS only some of God's words) because GOD'S WORD SAYS THEY WANT. All eyes and ears have been closed, only those he is calling NOW will hear and see.

Isaiah 6:9-13 (vs 12) And the Lord have removed man (creature or creation) far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.

(vs 13) But yet in it (the land) shall be a tenth (the tithe to God, the ROYAL PRIESTHOOD) and it shall return (in the ages to come) and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance (CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOLY SEED) IS IN THEM, when they (THE HOLY SEED) cast their leaves: so the HOLY SEED shall be the substance thereof.

Revelation 22:2 .... for the healing of the nations

    Ezekiel 47:6-8

In the age we are in, yes there is saved and unsaved (vessels of honour and vessels of dishonour) THE WORKS OF GOD for his pleasure. Since they were made vessels of dishonour for HIS WORKS then God has provided a way for them to enter into the kingdom in the coming ages.

There is hundreds of scriptures that says ALL CREATURES OR CREATION will worship God. They can't worship God without being lead into the light; this is what the SONS OF GOD (Christ and HIS royal priesthood are doing to do.

We are not saved to go to heaven; we are saved to rule God's KINGDOM ON EARTH with HIM. The shadow is in the old; as Moses had judges under him we will be judges under Christ. What was to be fulfilled by the first Israel in driving out all worshippers of other gods will be fulfilled by the SONS OF GOD (true Israel).

Richard, this truth does't come easily because we have been blinded by the wisdom of this world.

I'm sure we will continue this topic for a while.

I must reply with a question, in reverse: would the 'Christian' living in fornication actually be a part of His bride? There are too many today who believe they are Christians going to Heaven (whether from their own imaginations or false teaching), yet they resemble the world of the sin-ridden, rather than the Holy Spirit infilled children of God.

"God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." Galatians 6:7,8.

"but (the Lord) is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9.

Paul's stern word is to: "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" 2 Corinthians 13:5.

So hope remains to the misguided 'Christian' that he or she may turn from sin now, truly repent & seek the abundant forgiveness of the Lord. "Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." Isaiah 55:6,7.

    Hi Lacey,

We are to restore one another, and

We keep ministering to the lost, we are to be the light to tge world and you let your light shine with your walk, the word and much prayer.

Here is a few scriptures may help ,

Isaiah 55:11. So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

""WE trust and believe in the power of God's word ""

    James 5:19-20. Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;

Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

The bible tells us not to condemn, BUT IT DOESN'T SAY NOT TO JUDGE,

How do you try to help someone if you can't speak against what they're doing wrong?

    Consider Galatians 6:1 When ministering.

Galatians 6:1. Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Galatians 6:8-9. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

2 Timothy 4:2. Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Your walk going forward is important, be sure there is nothing present n your life they can use against you,

Don't let no one preach to you God is Love and sin don't matter!!

God's word is important, prayer is important, Be consistent in all 3,

    your blameless walk,

    The word of God

    And prayer.

    God bless you.

Well praise the Lord if you have been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ!

That's the first half of being born of water & Spirit Jesus spoke of in John 3:5 necessary to enter into the kingdom.

As to Christ being the Word, that is a lie from the pit of hell to get people to believe in a "pre-incarnate Christ" and a "trinity" (words not found in the Holy Scriptures), so that they don't know the Son of God, and He will tell them, "depart from me I never knew you" as you referenced in Matthew 7.

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Amen. How did God create everything? By His word. It doesn't say "and the word was Christ."

And the word was made flesh ( John 1:14).

God was manifest in the flesh ( 1 Tim 3:16)

    Amen.

When was God manifest in the flesh?

    Luke 3:22

And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

    Amen.

When the Holy Spirit (God) descended upon and began to dwell in His Son, God was manifest in the flesh, and then Jesus began his 3.5 year ministry of miracles signs and wonders.

Which brings us to the root of our conversation. Murmuring or babbling (i.e. sha la la ba ba like you can hear in some "pentecostal/apostolic" churches) is not evidence of having received the Holy Ghost. However, as I said; the fake tongues do not invalidate the real thing. The Book of Acts shows forth that anytime someone received the Holy Ghost they spoke in another tongue (be it of men or angels). If you can show me, from the scriptures, an instance that someone received the Holy Ghost by "feeling peace" then I will gladly stand corrected, but I have not found any such scripture. I wouldn't trust a "personal experience" over what the word of God says.

    Isaiah 55:1

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

The fall of mankind originated from Adam and Eve disobeying God.

As such, God set the precedence for man to be mortal, and die.

Isaiah 55:11 supports God's character and statutes, but I don't need that to understand what happened between God, Adam & Eve, or the serpent. I take God by his Word.

This holds true for everything God utters.

God often says "I the LORD have spoken it: it shall come to pass, and I will do it..." Ezekiel 24:14

What of satan's dwellings as listed above?

    DARREN,

The comment I'm about to make here is going to be a shock as it was a shock for me too when it was revealed to me after years of careful studying and praying.

    Here goes.

In Genesis ch.1, we have GOD. Ch.2 gives us ADAM and EVE which happens to be the only 2 people God ever created (that's another topic). In ch.3, we now have a 4th character, the serpent. Keep in mind that God is putting all His 3 created characters together in a location of His creation, THE GARDEN OF EDEN..

In this garden God said to Adam, "THE TREE OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL," and "YOU SHALL SURELY DIE." Now look In the book of ISAIAH 55:11, God said, "NO WORD SHALL LEAVE MY MOUTH AND RETURN VOID." The words EVIL and DIE left HIS mouth, and we can see today that those words has been with us from then till now and will be to the end.

The point I'm making is, God created the world good and He puts in it His parameters for learning and understanding. Are you understanding me so far? I don't like to do long posts so I'll stop here for now, plus I have to be at work. So answer if you understand so for and later we will continue. God bless you
  • Vincent - In Reply on Judges 7 - 3 years ago
No, the Bible states that God saw what He created was good. If God had declared it good, then His own declaration would make it so and evil will have no place here. Isaiah 55:11 gives us this understanding. God bless you.
  • Vincent - In Reply on Judges 7 - 3 years ago
    Hi Richard, it's me again.

Actually God said "you S H A L L surely die" referring to the entire creation that's why we see animals, trees and everything lives then die. You see, the whole concept of death is God's plan from the start. It's not because of Adam and Eve's sin that death came to the creation; Adam and Eve activated the death process by obedience to the spirit of evil which the serpent was possessed with. God created EVIL ( Isaiah 45:7) and did so for a purpose. God is the creator of all things seen and unseen. God also said in ( Isaiah 55:11) the words of His mouth will not go forth void, so when the words EVIL and DEATH left God's mouth they now become apart of His creation. When and where did God created EVIL? This happened in the garden of Eden where God said "the tree of the knowledge of good and evil." This word evil left His mouth and will do it's purposed which is sin then sin will do it's purpose which is death.

I pray you understand God's purpose of balance. By this I mean, everything has it's equal and it's opposite like left with right, back with front, top with bottom, hot and cold etc.

God saw what He created was good but He never declared it so, therefore all things created was for a temporary purpose of knowledge and the next phase of God's creation will be the permanent and the everlasting perfection. The word evil will never be mentioned again, by then it's purpose would have been complete and will never ever be in existence. PRAISE THE LORD JESUS.

I believe you're correct in your understanding on this chapter. Though penned with Israel in mind, that they return back to the Lord, leaving their backsliding ways, the invitation, through Jesus Christ is now open to all nations & peoples.

It starts in chapter 52:13, speaking about the 'Servant' Whose visage & form was so horribly marred & his innocent blood shed, would be for all nations. Chapter 53 goes on to speak about the 'Servant': about His suffering, His crucifixion & death. Chapter 54, on the promises to Israel that the Lord ever waits for them to return & will be their Guard. And then to this great chapter 55 which gives the universal invitation to come to God, not only for Israel but to all peoples.

So, verses 6 & 7 truly bares the Heart of God as we almost visualize His yearning for all to cast aside their wicked ways & come into His open Arms. And of course, this to us now is made possible through His 'Servant' Who opened the way for both Jew & Gentile to be made clean & acceptable in His Sight. And even when the 'Servant' came to His people, His cry was the same: that 'all who labour & are heavy laden' come to Him for rest. The only solution to the weight & gravity of sin & careless ungodly living, is found in Jesus Who alone can both promise & fulfil complete rest for the penitent. So yes, the sinner or the backslider, has the promise of God in this Scripture that He will pardon all & none will be refused.
