Audrey, my CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

In the Old Testament (old covenant) God lived in a TEMPLE made of wood and stone. Men met in that temple on the SABBATH.

In the NEW COVENANT Christ is the TEMPLE. Christ LIVES in YOU, making YOU the TEMPLE of GOD. You worship and praise God continually, making every moment the SABBATH, the Lord's day. RESTING in the WORKS OF CHRIST.

Don't be deceived by man's traditions.

I was raised in the Catholic church up until I was 27 years old. I then left the Catholic faith because I felt I didn't know God or the Lord Jesus in a way that I grew up hearing and listening about. It seemed the word of God was kept from us Catholics except for a couple of small scriptures and a twenty minute sermon I couldn't ever understand because the priests are from other areas of the world and have very broken English. I felt God was this like this supreme far away person spirit and I didn't really know him. I found a little steeple church by a distant relative and accepted Jesus as my savior and baptized in a river one day in a Christian camping adventure. When you teach about the Sabbath in these verses in Isaiah, it is a day to me that I've not taken the way God has commanded us to. I'm confused about the day of the week it falls on. And there's not one church that says it's on Saturday but uses Sunday as that holy day to God. It's like a big secret. The Catholic religion did not teach me the words of God, it showed me more that God exists and we did the same prayers and praises over and over again. Nothing was different. I hardly knew God' in a personal way nor his words in the bible what they truly say and mean. Now I have grown to know God and our Lord Jesus and how they both have guided me how to live and love others. What day is the Lord's day? I heard it Saturday. I just can't dedicate a day myself. I hope and pray to make it holy for God.

Many times we just go through the motions like as long we fellowship, as long we take up a space in church, we fail to keep the sabbath day holy because we are focused on what the Lord can do for us. Instead we should put all that aside and give our savior Praise and Worship

It is good reminder to service others and to give praises.

What do you think Isaiah 58:13 mean. What I know it means is, that if you don't keep it, you will be lost. Jesus said if ye love me keep my commandments. My brother John - the revelator, Not Sunday. If you do this, You do not love Him. Tell me, if this is truth.

  • TENTH GENERATIONS - In Reply on Deuteronomy 23:3 - 3 years ago
    Generations, Tenth

    Deuteronomy 23:3

An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their TENTH generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever:

    Deuteronomy 23:2

A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his TENTH generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

    [a non-covenant believer]

    Mark 8:12

And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.

Malachi 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

    Isaiah 41:4

Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he.

    Isaiah 58:12

And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

    Matthew 1:17

So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

In the "time of Abraham a generation was an hundred years, thus: Gen." "15:16, "In the fourth generation" = in four hundred years (comp." verse 13 and Ex. 12:40). In Deut. 1:35 and 2:14 a generation is a period of thirty-eight years.

    Psalm 34:19

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all.

    Isaiah 53:4-5

Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

    Jeremiah 33:6

Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.

    Isaiah 58:8

Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily

This afternoon I was so tired after child sitting: I found a site on YouTube that reads just healing scriptures. I listened for an hour and all that tiredness just left.

I think it's 3 hours long. I saved it so I can go back there.

    Raymond Quigano, GOD"S CALENDAR

    page 2,

I have continually found that those that refute the Dead Sea Scrolls and the book of Enoch have not read them and show their complete dependence and reliance on what man (Catholic church) has declared to be divine writings.

A breakdown of the Enoch calendar

    1) 12 month, 30 day month, 360 days

    2) + 4 intercalary days (+ 1 occasional leap day) = 365 days

    3) 364 / 7 = 52

    4) Four intercalary days are to be lived but not reckoned, same with the occasional leap day.

    5) Intercalary day (day of remembrance) is inserted at the end of each 3 month cycle.

    6) 1st day of the 1st month is ALWAYS the day AFTER the spring equinox.

    7) 1st day of the 1st month ALWAYS resets to the 4th day of the week.

    8) Enoch lived 365 years.

The spring equinox is also called the "Great Gate"

The first day of the first month according to the Enoch calendar is ALWAYS the 4th (FOURTH) day of the week.

A check for this can be found in the book of Jubilees where it states that the Festival of Shavuot is ALWAYS the 15th day of the 3rd month and is ALWAYS the FIRST day of the week.

So if you count backwards to the 1st day of the 1st month it will ALWAYS be the 4th day of the week.

(Enoch 72:32-34) states that there is a separation day that is to occur at the spring equinox which separates each year. It is the day after day 364 and it does NOT have a day attached to it.

It is the time from the end of the 364th day until the spring equinox.

The day after the 364th day is intercalated.

The Enoch calendar is a holy priestly calendar that is based on 364 days ONLY.

The extra time until the equinox is used to calibrate the New Year. That time is not counted. The calendar is perfectly rectified every year.
  • Greg - In Reply on Isaiah 58:12 - 4 years ago
    Raymond Quijano,

I hear you loud and clear and completely agree.

I will do my best to keep God's calendar and not the ridiculous Gregorian calendar that has everyone fouled up.

The Book of Enoch from the Dead Sea Scrolls gives us the Solar Priestly Calendar.

The Book of Enoch covers topics on the solar priestly calendar, origins of demons and giants, why some angels fell from heaven, an explanation of why the Great Flood was morally necessary, and the thousand-year reign of the Messiah.

The Book of Jude speaks of these fallen angels and Enoch is mentioned as having preached against them ( Jude 1: 14-15).

Sabbath days remain constant on the Enoch calendar in relation to the spring equinox; but they will rotate on the Gregorian calendar.

Enoch lived 365 years (and possibly .242)

The spring equinox is the great equalizer of the calendar and is the leap day that rectifies the calendar every year (day 365.242), look at (Ps. Ch. 19)

March 20, 2020 (sunrise to sunrise) was the 365th day of the solar year (the day of the spring equinox), making March 21, 2020 the first day of the first month of the New Year (and the 4th day of the week)

The 364 day Enoch solar calendar runs off the 365.242 day solar cycle

    When does the day start? Look at ( Gen 1:16, 18, 19:33, 34, Ex. 10:13, 16:22-27,

We are specifically commanded to use the SUN as the sign for days, Sabbaths, months, years, Sabbaths of years, jubilees, and feasts, and for all seasons of the year.

The LUNAR cycle for the year is 354 days

The Enoch solar calendar is 364 days (+ 365th and day of spring equinox)

The moon is to be for light upon the earth at night ( Gen. 1:14, Psalms 136:9, Jeremiah 31:35), for seasons ( Psalms 104:19), and for a witness to the covenant of David ( Psalms 89:37).

The ONLY calendar that can reckon Daniel's 70 weeks is the Enoch calendar.

  • Monique Manning-Jones on Isaiah 58 on Isaiah 58 - 4 years ago
When I was a little girl, Bible study instilled in me that JESUS is a personal Saviour. Unfortunately, through life, my spirituality faltered on a dismal failure from being disobedient. But one day, when I was truly crying out for light in my darkness, the HOLY SPIRIT guided me to Isaiah 58. In that reading, comfort was administered with a deeper understanding of the relationship I could have with my FATHER. It is indeed a one-on-one, personal relationship made possible by the suffering and great sacrifice of JESUS CHRIST.

I understand verses 1-5, simply as redirection from GOD through Isaiah to stop our public and ceremonial fasting, which misses the point altogether of personally and meaningfully communicating our love to our FATHER.

GOD speaks to the hearts of all who are seeking HIM in Verses 6-8. HE makes plain what HE truly wants from HIS children -to love HIM and to love our neighbors - which of course is the precursor to the two great commandments of HIS only begotten SON, JESUS. ( Matthew 22:36-40)"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.")

In Verses 9-12, GOD clarifies that to fill our lives with loving and giving to others, is loving HIM - and in return, HE rewards us breathtakingly and powerfully.

But as a humbled child of GOD, it is in verses 13-14, that GOD reveals to me the sacred urgency of keeping the 4th commandment, "Remember the SABBATH DAY and keep it HOLY." HE tenders to my spirit how very much it means to HIM personally when I accept in my heart the sanctity of HIS (our Creator's) chosen day of rest.

For obeying HIM out of love and gratefulness, not fear, the blessings upon blessings, I receive from the vastness of HIS power, grace and mercy, empower me in ways mere words cannot express.

Alex, you are misleading Debra and people reading your comments. Except for the Sabbath-day, God has not made every day holy. How would one provide for themselves/family if they refrained from work every day? We are commanded to refrain from work on the Sabbath day.

Yes Norma; And not only all our wasted years, but all the wasted world because of sin over sin over sin, for all the centuries and generations of the ruin because of the heathen's rage against God and His Anointed. In the Prophets it is said, that we are going to rebuild the old waste places; all the cities and Nations that the "locusts" have devoured, in the Kingdom of God to come. Isaiah 58:12

Do we make void the law by faith Gd forbid we establish the law. THE RIGHTEOUSNESS of the law,( the old covenant ) is gonna be fulfilled by the New Covenant which is a birthing covenant via a heavenly seed. 1 of the facets of the cross was multiplication, When a seed dies it multiplies thus we might all get an incorruptible seed resulting in a birth of Christ in us, th essence of the New Covenant.
  • Alex on Isaiah 58 - 6 years ago
Jesus asked which of you keeps the law? None of you keeps the law. John 7;19 THUS TH NEED offer up an annual sacrifice for their Sins, Which is a picture of Christ the lamb of GOD that taketh away the SINS of the world thus a NEW COVENANT The old covenant cd not make man SINLESS.If PERFECTION came under the levitical Priesthood ( th law) what need was there for another priesthood AFTER MELCHEZIDEC.
  • A disciple on Isaiah 58 - 6 years ago
Dennis; There are many things terribly wrong with what you wrote. First, and most important; God gave us the commandments with the intention of guiding our hearts in the way of holiness and love; and with the expectation that as His children we would have a heart to do them. Luke 1:6 "And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless."
  • Dennis carr on Isaiah 58 - 6 years ago
It is impossible to keep the law there are 10 Commandments and over 6000 laws and if you break one you have failed totally. It says keep my commandments if you love me and you will truly want to keep his commandments if you love him but it is not possible. We do not live by the law. There are two Commandments in the New Testament and the whole ballgame changed when Jesus Christ died on the cross
  • A disciple on Isaiah 58 - 6 years ago
Debra; There have been attempts to Judaize, and to bring the Disciples into bondage to some outward form of religious tradition or other from the earliest days. But that is not the kingdom of God! Paul wrote"Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days: which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."
  • Alex on Isaiah 58 - 6 years ago
Debra God wants every day HOLY not just the Sabbath. and he wants this holiness to come from Christ in us via the new birth, THE new covenant ETC.And that Christ in us cannot sin thus we keep the commandments. A day is a 1000 yrs in the sight of GOD,THUS THE REAL SABBATH IS A 1000 YR DAY WHEN CHRIST WILL REIGN ON THE EARTH,David saw this earth at REST and full of his GLORY, REST IMPLIES A 7 TH DAY
  • Alex on Isaiah 58 - 6 years ago
Debra under this New Covenant we abide in Christ 24/7 Not 1 day a week,Its like a marriage 24/7 FOREVER.Jesus said if the Branches do not abide in the vine (Christ ) continually 24/7 they bring forth NO FRUIT , The disciples followed Jesus 24/7 not 1 day a week. He is our temple and we are his temple thats y he is saying abide in me and i in you meaning 24/7 like a marriage, he is our Bridegroom .
  • Debra on Isaiah 58 - 6 years ago

The Word is saying, "The Fast", is to get your eyes off yourself. Dealing to others the depth into the teachings you have received. You can only teach what you know to be true by what you have experienced from God. Anything less is unfruitful to others and shows the degree of your own comprehension. Luke 22:31-2
When your faith allows you to overcome the tricks of Satan, then strengthen others.
