I HAVE READ THIS CHAPTER BEFORE AND OVERLOOKED SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT BOTH TO ME AND ALL WHO MAKE THE EFFORT TO DEPART FROM INIQUITY. VERSE 15 SAYS WHEN WE DO SO WE MAKE OURSELVES A PREY. THE ENEMY CANNOT STAND TO SEE ANYONE COMMIT HIMSELF TO FOLLOW THE LORD, AND HE BEGINS AT ONCE TO TEAR HIM TO PIECES. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS FIRST HAND AND THOUGHT I WAS LITERALLY GOING TO DIE. IT IS IN THE VERSES FOLLOWING THAT WE FIND HOPE.THE LORD BEING DISPLEASED WITH THE FACT THAT THERE IS NO ONE TO PLEAD OUR CAUSE AND INTERCEDE FOR US, RISES UP HIMSELF FOR "him " I ALWAYS ASSUMED THAT THE LORD WAS PLEADING HIS OWN CAUSE, BUT IN READING IT IN THE CONTEXT OF VERSE 15 IT BECOMES CRYSTAL CLEAR THAT THE LORD IS RISING UP TO MY CRISIS AND DELIVER ME FOM BEING DEVOURED BY THE ENEMY. HALELUJAH!!!

YEAH,I QUITE AGREE WIT ALOT OF COMMENTS ABOVE. WHEN D ENEMY COMES IN,D LORD SHALL POWERFULLY ARISE N FIGHT HIM N GIVE US D NEEDED VICTORY. AMEN.

Greta 's remark Isiah 59:1 This means that God has not changed in any way from the beginning. "He is the same yesterday, today and forever... " says in Hebrews chapter 13 verse 8. He still saves,every sinner who genuinely repents for his her sins, and accepts Jesus as His Son who was crucified for each one of us, God hears our prayers,He heals our ailments and sicknesses too, and He loves us.His Word is the same.I hope this will help you.Bless you.

Please can I have a sermon on Isaiah 59 verse 1

Jesus is our redeemer indeed. We just need to come back to the right track otherwise destined for doom. The word of God is our weapon, lets apply it and use it, we will stand out because we will be more powerful than anykind of power.

When the devil lifts up opposition and all kind of circumstances, God starts at the climax of that situation and shows His power. God is always above all

The standard resembles the word of God which the Holy Spirit empowers us to use to overcome all the attacks of the enemy. The devil is the enemy and he does not respect the level of annointing someone has, if it were so Jesus would never have been tempted but he is always stopped by the word of God spoken by revelation unction of the Spirit of God .

what are inquieties

No matter what the enemy satan brings Gods power will always be greater.When the enemy comes like a flood, he attacks in all directions but is no match for God 's power.

God can not answer the prayer of a sinner but he is always attentive to the prayers of righteous and holy children of his.

No matter how hard the enemy comes against us God s Spirit will always raise a standard against it The Lord will always protect us nor matter the tries of the devil God is assuring us that He will always be there So in our standing in God s presence we need to know that God will not live nor forsake us

Let scripture interpret scripture do not try and put your own interpretation in Read Revelation 12 15 and you will see the devil does use a flood Study the meaning of raising up a standard and you will find the power of God in the Standard He raises against the enemy when the enemy comes in like a flood as in Revelations

As long as we trust believe in the Lord Almighty we have a surety of safety Whatever is fanned by the devil into ourlives the Lord will always give us ample protection We are always safe and secure Im reminded of Ps 91 The Lord is an Omnipresent God who will never leave us vulnerable and unprotected

When the enemy shall come in like a flood: that's what it means look up the word flood ( flood-an overflowing of water onto land that is normally dry) a flood causes destructions and destroys can be overwhelming ( the enemy is out to steal kill and destroy)

Lets me know god is my defence an he fights my battles .

When the enemy shall come in.....Like a FLOOD the Spirit of the Lord will raise up a standard against him. The Lord says how He washes us clean. The Prayer of Jabez : KEEP us from evil. The Lord's Prayer: AND deliver us from evil.

Our God is not limited to heal,save,set you free etc. He is able to do all things

This chapter is very encouraging to those who really trust in the Lord and wait patiently as Hebrew 11:1 and Isaiah 59:1 to see the glory of God.

"to get the original hebrew bible" -- do not bother and waste time, it was well translated into English in KJV by very intelligent scholars.

The Lord allowed Isaiah 59:19 to read the way it does so that it reaches us unadulterated . I believe fear will grip the west and the east after seeing how the ferocious devil is defeated .

i think its okay when it says,when the enemy comes in like a flood,the Spirit of the Lord shall rise the standard.it basically means that when the enemy comes furiously with the intention of hurting or destroying you, God Himself will raise the wall that will stop them.

I agree with Adewele Adeyi... The scripture should read."When the enemy comes, like a flood God shall raise a standard against him.

It gives us a better understanding of our faults but what do you with a spirit thats always telling you something thats not of God or of your own heart. Ive heard of the deceiver ive heard of the Gods that cannot save and shall die like men ive heard of the one he and his wife shall have no place to dwell and the different things that is satin including a prstilin and those that has there eyes covered they dont play with anybody.and read.where it ssys when you except.christ as your saver the spirits shouldnt bother you

isaiah 59:1 mean God is always ready to forgive us our sins when we genuienly repent from them,he is not as we think negetively but gracious in mercy.

this scripture it like as its written,the standard is An emblem or flag of an army, raised on a pole to indicate the rallying point in battle, so basicly when God talking about devel coming like a flood he means that when the enemy attack he will raise the flag of victory over him which is the blood of the most high and precious lamp of God who died in our place as a sign of victory aand win. so when ever devel attack God will make it known to him that the firt battle was won by Jesus which was the cross d the dish full of our sin Jesus drank, therefore we also going to win,so there is no battle that can defeat us because God will always raises the standard
