GOD WILL SEND STRONG DELUSION THAT THEY BELIEVE A LIE

    Isaiah 66:4 - 2Thessalonians 2:8-12 - Matthews 24:15-25:

    Isa.66:4:

4I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them;because when I called, none did answer;when I spake, they did not hear...

    2Thes.2:8-12

8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth-His Word-,and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming:

9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish;because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12That they all might be DAMNED who believed not the Truth- believed not in JESUS-,but had pleasure in unrighteousness

    Mat.24:15-25

15When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place,(whoso readeth, let him understand)

    PRIOR ADVICE OF OUR LORD

16Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains

17Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house

18Neither let him which is in the field return back...

    ABOUT STRONG PUNISHMENT

21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time,no,nor ever shall be.

22And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved:but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened

GREAT DANGER EVEN FOR THE ELECTS-THE FALSE MESSIAH

    23Then if any man-Pastors,and Bishops,Evangelists,Missionaries, among others-shall say unto you, Lo,here is Christ,or there;BELIEVE IT NOT

24For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets-FALSE PREACHERS OF THE WORD OF GOD-2Cor.11:13-15,and shall shew great signs and wonders;insomuch that,if it were possible, they shall deceive(even)the very elect

    25Behold,I have told you before

    Hi Patricia (aka Pnovello?),

I'm so so sorry to hear about your loss. I'm praying this verse from Isaiah 66:13 for you: "As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you;" What a comfort to know your daughter is with Jesus right now though but of course the pain must still be excruciating for you I'm sure. I will keep you in my prayers. You know what Patricia, I firmly believe we will soon join your daughter and I do believe it will be much sooner than most people realize. I believe the Lord's return is extremely close.

May the Lord bless and keep you.

    And Amen to your prayer.

    Hi Chris,

    Part one.

Thank you for continuing the discussion, I also tremble at His word we are just a spec compared to our God. Deuteronomy 18:15-19 This to me is fulfilled in John 1:1 the word of God in Jesus the Messiah. When Jesus was anointed the Messiah every word that Jesus said was the word of God the word of God in the flesh of His Son. Everything that was created was created by the word of God, not His Son. God said let there be, and it was.

If we read Isaiah 66:1 we cannot imagine how large God can be. He can overwhelm all of what we can imagine. In my human mind, I see His Spirit cover the earth like a dome, omnipresent, it is like an electrical grid that believers plug into, I know that may sound weird.

John 17 I will do my best to show my understanding, this is just before Jesus was going to be nailed to the cross. Verses 1-5 Jesus is praying to the Father about Himself, the Father is God, when we pray, we pray to our Father, and we relate to God as Father, through the Bible Father means God and Jesus said to His Father He is the only true God. In and through Jesus Christ we become sons and daughters of God, so we cry out Abba, Father, Galatians 4:6.

Jesus said He had finished the work the Father had given to Him and Jesus glorified His Father on earth. Jesus is now ready to face death on the cross and fulfilling the law and the prophet's, all of what Scripture had said what He would become, and Jesus was ready to take His place on the right hand of His Father, Isaiah 53:12 Jeremiah 23:5-6 2 Samuel 7:12-13 Psalm 110:4 Psalm 16:10, these are just a few verses that Jesus would have known about Himself.

In Daniel 7:13-14 Daniel had a prophetic vision of Jesus's ascension and God the Father giving His Son Jesus dominion and glory overall and giving Him the kingdom. God showed Daniel this was with God in the beginning, in God's plan but did not come to fruition until Jesus ascended in Acts 1:9.

    The slave market of sin

In today's society; we have found a way to extricate our minds from within when it comes to the subject of slavery. What happened hundreds of years ago is someone else's problem or said to be our fault by default as to our race. Closer to home now; of course is the continuing servitude particularly of the sex trade today and that brings attention to the revenue of such a trade.

That; of course comes from those who would exploit such an industry who themselves in actuality are slaves to sin.

Revelation makes it clear; unfortunately that slaves will exist in the end times will exist ( Rev. 6:15). At that time they will be clumped together with all those who attempt to hide from God.

Christ has redeemed us from our state of hopelessness and given us a new life. We have turned from Satan as our master to the Living God ( Ephesians 2:2). A truly redeemed child of God can read a passage such as Isaiah 66:24 and understand how they themselves were an abhorrence in their lost; sinful state. To know that we were under His wrath we proclaim the salvation message. Those who are condemned already ( John 3:18) are not known to us immediately; eventually it will be clear who is saved and who isn't at least by judgment Day. Such amazing love of Christ should motivate us to share the Gospel with others.

I am convinced one reason more people aren't sharing with much conviction is because they have become dumbed down to just how wicked they were; forgotten what they were saved from or in the worst case scenario are really not saved at all but following a form of godliness but denying the power thereof ( 2 Tim. 3:5). It is sobering to remind ourselves that as believers that scripture warns us to stay AWAY from such people.

Satan; I always say is an equal opportunity destroyer. He will take any sin; as seemingly innocuous as gossip and turn it into a full scale conflagration (see warnings in James 3:6). Only Christ frees us from slavery.

    Shabbat Keeper:

Luke 16:31 And he said unto them, if they hear not MOSES and the PROPHETS, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose

    from the dead.

Acts 24:14 But this I confess unto you, that after the way they (the church) call HERESY, so worship I the God of my fathers; believing ALL THINGS written in the LAW and the PROPHETS.

Acts 28:23 And when they had appointed him a day, they came many unto him in his lodging, to whom he expounded and testified the KINGDOM of GOD, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

Most don't believe ALL THINGS written in MOSES and the PROPHETS.

Psalms 149:9 To execute upon them the judgement written, this honoru hath all his saints.

Isaiah 26:9 ... for when thy judgements (administered by the saints) are in the earth (second resurrection), the world WILL LEARN righteousness.

Psalms 22:27 All the ends of the world SHALL REMEMBER (when they are resurrected and judged by the saints) AND TURN (repent) unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

Isaiah 66:24 And they (the saints) shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against me, for their (the saints) WORM shall not die; neither shall their (the saints') FIRE be quenched, and they (the saints) shall be and abhorring to all flesh.

Job 25:6 And much less man, that is a worm?and the son or man WHICH IS A WORM.

    Psalms 22:6 .... But I am a worm .....

Mark 9:46 Where their WORM dieth not, nor is the FIRE quenched.

Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

Matthew 13:34 ... and without a parable he spake he not unto them......

The whole word of God is Christ speaking.

Psalms 78:2 I will open my mouth in a PARABLE: I will open my DARK SAYINGS of the harps (his people)

    God Bless you

    Sister Jema:

There is no end of the world.

    Ephesians 3:21 .... world without end ...

We get mixed up all the time, because our old mind hasn't totally BEEN RENEWED to the mind of Christ.

The end of the world is one example.

The end of the world (age) (in the fullness of time) came when Christ was resurrected, he said: Behold, I make all things new.

Probably a more accurate translation would be the end of the AGE, or the fullness of time.

The 1000 year reign with Christ is NOW, running parallel, with this age, but we are not of this age, because in the fullness of time we became a new creation.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this age, be be ye TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING (all things have become new) of your mind.

He give us the parable of the seed, Christ, being the SEED.

The corn plant was the example.

If you plant a corn SEED in the ground, that SEED will DIE, and a green plant will emerge, that looks nothing like the SEED that was planted.

That plant grows and as it matures it slowly begins to naturally die, then the SEED is harvested by the farmer, and the good SEED is put in the barn.

It's put in the barn to be used as FOOD and for REPLANTING.

This is exactly what happen to the new new creation.

Christ the SEED, DIED, and was raised up, the green plant raised up with Christ (you and I), looks nothing like the SEED, but when we become mature (by the words of God), God sends the angels and they harvest us, our body that brought the SEED to maturity, is no longer needed, it goes back to the ground it came from, and the SEED goes back to the barn to be used as FOOD and REPLANTING SEED.

The OLD saints, now chariots of fire, and all that have been harvested in the last 2000 years, have become SEED for eating and replanting, they are workers in God's vineyard, all called at different hours of the day, they are causing you to mature and become a SEED.

    Matthew 20:1-10

    Isaiah 59:21

    Isaiah 66:15

    2 Kings 6:17

    God Bless YOU!

God's plan for the Nations (The Tribulation).

Before the Tribulation; there will be people raptured out of the world from every tribe; language; nation and tongue. ( Rev. 7:9).

To be precise many in this verse will come out FROM the Tribulation but those raptured would logically also come from every nation as many more will die after the seal judgments following the Rapture of the church.

Isaiah 66:19 seems to challenge this as those who have not heard His fame or seen His glory seem to be reached by those surviving physically the Tribulation. The Millennial worship is clear from verse 20. It could mean that the Gospel preached by the 3 angels to the whole world won't be specific about God's past exploits or specific plan or focus on Jerusalem for His return; rather they will just hear a general message to worship God and not take the Mark of the Beast or not be part of Babylon.

It is possible some remote areas will somehow even miss the angels testimony; which would also mean they may be one of a few who are able to hide from having the mark forced on them; or from the pressure of following the worldwide false church.

Anyway; God will use Antichrist to draw in all those doomed for perdition and the whole world to choose Christ and bring mass beheadings or choose Antichrist and take the mark and or fight Christ and be destroyed at Armageddon. Again; nations are mentioned in the Millennial Kingdom ( Zech. 14:18 for instance) where Egypt and anyone else will have no rain if they don't come and worship Christ at that time. That shows a necessary interlude BEFORE perfect sinless existance in the new earth since some clearly will attempt to disobey.

Revelation 20:8 states "And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea." Clearly there will still be nations until the final conflagration; when there is a new heaven and earth.

OSAS. True spiritual gifts vs false manifestations.

1 Corinthians 2:14 says: "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

Deuteronomy 32:28-29 states "For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them. O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!"

There are many reasons people may go to church and not be believers; a general statement would be there are many confessors but less who are POSSESSORS of the Holy Spirit. Focusing on earlier posts discussing how Satan focuses his attacks on the church we need in general to see how Satan is not only opposed to God but comes as s substitute; and mimics every spiritual gift in outward manifestations that may appear to be the same to the undiscerning (such as listed in 1 Corinthians 2:14 above).

As to spiritual manifestations; the "Kundalini" experience often mimics what are true spiritual experiences. We see mention in past revivals of people shaking or trembling at His Word which is scriptural ( Isaiah 66:2). But certain ritualaistic manifestations

cause abandon (usually coiling up like a snake on the floor). Godly sorrow certainly can cause weeping as was reported in many revivals from the past; uncontrollable laughter however is not something that seems edifying. Tongues of angels certainly can be imitated by demons as evidenced by experiences of those in the occult.

In looking at these "charismatic" gifts; we shoiuldn't ignore the "religious" spirit which involves endless ritual and legalistic practices that exceed the scope of the Word. The Pharisees added things with their traditions ( Mark 7:13 and other verses) and this was associated with pride; self righteous and leading others astray. (see Matthew 23:15). The opposite of this is using grace as a license to sin which Romans 6:1 warns about.

    MOre on hell testimonies

My last conversation got stuck on another thread. Here is a summary of what is often spurious evidences in hell testimonies.

    1. Satan being in hell. Revelation 20 and 21 should make it clear (the latter case even with Post Millennialists) that Satan is not in hell now; clearly he will be tormented before anyone else and as well as anyone else. Certain entities currently under the earth are in their own realm in Tartarus. Therefore; although it is possible that certain creatures are under the earth presently; it is hard to differentiate at times (unless clinical death is proven) that something isn't a demonic attack of torment.

    2. Lack of proper reverential fear of the Lord. There are a few testimonies like this in regard to heaven and hell testimonies; but too many that only have a mushy love for Christ; or just desperate clinging to Him. No genuine experience in God's presence can come without being on our faces; see Daniel; Isaiah and John for 3 scriptural examples of the same thing. See Deuteronomy as well when Moses "shook exceedingly" ( Heb. 12:21). See David's example when the destroying angel appeared in 1 Chron. 21:15. If an Archangel can bring such a reaction (see Daniel 10:5 and following); surely the Lord Himself even more so.

    3. Lack of testimony regarding the sin nature and our need to be saved from that. There also tends to be a doctrine of "losing your salvation" if we have besetting sins; as well as teachings that we must go through much of the Tribulation. More seem to be heading towards that mindset probably because Christ didn't return when they thought He would.

    4. Idea that true repentance would occur in hell but it would be too late. Or love for God and His Name. I stated in my last posting that in the parable of Lazarus and the rich man no one would be convinced if someone came back from the dead.

    ( Isaiah 38:18).

    5. God is grieving for lost souls in hell. ( Isaiah 66:24).

Usually; when we look to scriptures on God's promises; we are looking for His Providence in our individual needs and concerns such as finding a spouse; providing food; clothing and shelter and those basic salvation assurances such as John 3:16 which we have as an anchor to our soul; to quote Hebrews 6:19. We also look to heaven and being reunited with our loved ones; hopefully realizing that only those in Christ will have an eternal future which we would desire to share as 1 Corinthians 15 starting in verse 14 assures us of as a future reality.

Admittedly; there aren't a lot of specific verses as to what exactly we will be doing in the Millennium and eternity. I have elaborated on rewards involving ruling over more or less cities in regard to our faithfulness now; as well the scripture about David once again ruling as co-regent under Christ (see Jeremiah 30:9). The Levites are said to have some sort of role at least in the Millennium; with sacrifices in a new temple mentioned in the last few chapters of Ezekiel.

Perhaps studying Israel as a Theocracy in the past (although certainly not a perfect example) gives us some idea how we will rule and reign with Christ ( Rev. 2:26-27 but also somewhere in the O.T. mentioned as well). Isaiah 66:19-20 shows what the physical survivors will do after Armageddon in reaching distant places gathering them for worship in Jerusalem.

As Resurrected Saints interacting with earthly people; we may need to be in charge of ensuring that ceremonial purification occurs so that those in our presence not to mention in the presence of Christ won't die because of some impurity. It is hard to say how our roles will work with those who are in physical bodies still doing some sort of Temple ritual. We also will probably work out disputes; perhaps initally as a sort of cleanup crew (again with the physical survivors) after the Ezekiel 38 war (likely part of the campaign related to Armageddon).

Hiya Leska....I think that the new heaven and new earth is just symbolic language of that New heart and New spirit that God wants to give us....The gift of the H.G....In Isaiah 66:22..It says as the new heaven and the new earth shall remain so shall thy seed and name remain b/f me....Which is the Seed of the Sower that will result in Christ being formed in us....Which is the H.G. his Name sake....As Jesus said the kingdom of God is gonna be with in you...And David said beautiful for situation the joy of the whole world....Its beautiful for situation simply b/c its gonna be situated in our hearts and Minds....With in us as Jesus said

.......But i don't think we are gonna see a literal New earth...or New Heaven....There is absolutely nothin wrong with this BEAUTIFUL earth or heaven....Its only mankinds hearts and minds that needs to be replaced....Infact in Rev. 11:15...The Kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our lord and his Christ and he will reign for ever and ever....And He says he wd destroy them that destroy the earth....I think that New Earth and New Heaven is just the result of the new birth of that incorruptible seed etc...The living Word....When Peter said no more seas i think that is no more seas of humanity that have not been washed in the blood of the lamb....I will stain all my raiment.....With the blood of that 2 nd Adam....Behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world...ok Gbu

If we look at condemnation such as Zechariah 11:17 we see how the "worthless shepherd" or the Antichrist will be allowed to have authority in the future end times. This is equivalent to the "son of perdition" which stood for both Judas Iscariot and the coming Antichrist. Thus; those who would be part of the establishment and hierarchy of false religion at some point will be found to be reprobate ( Matt. 7:16). Fruits; therefore are the result of either a bad seed or heart condition or that of good seed producing good fruit.

When we look at passages such as Luke 19:8 with Zaccheus; certainly someone who was a corrupt tax collector or just happened to have a job that was despised could reform their ways; such as a teacher who is caught up in error and corrected by His brother ( James 5:19). This speaks of individuals who are granted repentance and come to realize Christ as Lord and Savior. This differentiates Christ's preaching of a general call nature and the parables hiding truth from the "wise" and revealing it to "babes" (see Matt. 11:25 as an example). In the general call we see a railing accusation against Pharisees and the lawyers of the time as we see in Matthew 23. We must remember that God can "choose their delusions" ( Isaiah 66:4) so that at some point men's hearts can be hardened beyond hope. Only the Lord knows what point that is; as well as those who are His children.

As to "shepherds" or leaders of any sort; of course there is harsher judgment for them than others. We see this with the denouncement of those who are "sons of hell" themselves and the resulting disciples who are twice as bad ( Matthew 23:15).

Teachers of Gospel truth also have this principle ( James 3:1). The case of a believer vs a non believer separates the results; of course from that of hellfire and suffering loss of reward. Nonetheless; the principle stands.

    Hello Hope this help

A biblical concept of worship involves praising God and giving Him glory with our lips and our lives, with our words and our deeds, with our physical bodies and our spiritual hearts. Worship that pleases God is authentic, offered with clean hands and a pure heart ( Psalm 24:3-4; Isaiah 66:2).

King David danced "before the Lord with all his might" ( 2 Samuel 6:14)

    Revelation 5:8-11

twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they *sang a new song, saying, " Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals

Psalms 149:3 - Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. Psalms 150:1 - 127:6 - Praise ye the LORD

    Luke 2:13-14

And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest,

And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased

    Colossians 3:14-17

And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

    MATTHEW 24:34: THE GENERATION CONUNDRUM

It has been suggested by many that either the Lord fulfilled all things in the generation that He was on earth which He referred to here (consummating in the AD 70 Roman slaughter of the Jews and destruction of Jerusalem); or more commonly that some or all things are yet to be fulfilled within the "generation" which began in 1948 when it is said that Ezekiel's prophecy of a nation born in a day ( Isaiah 66:8; see also Ezekiel 37:21 as well as verse 4 on the "valley of dry bones.") Psalm 90:10 in my mind fairly well makes it clear the extent of the normal lifetime of a man; and other scriptures seem to indicate a generation is 40 years. The case of Noah and the Ark is sometimes brought up; as to the number of days of man being 120 years ( Genesis 6:3). As to whether that means the time until the Ark was built from that statement or the lifespan of man or both may also be in question. Whatever the case; it is clear by the time of Christ people were living lives at best similar to today. It has generally been suggested therefore that a generation is 40 years and a double fulfillment would certainly make that evident when we see the time from Christ's proclamation until 70 AD as being slightly less than 40 years.

We went through the years of expectation in 1988 as to the rapture (although the prophecy mentions the "sign of the coming of the Son of Man" which would probably be when the world sees Him in the 6th Seal or later near His return by the context of the verse). At any rate; we went through the 90's and then some said it was really 1967 and the capture of Jerusalem that started off the final generation. Jump to 2008 and that clarly didn't happen; and then the 2017 events which recognized Jerusalem as the capitol and yet we are still here in 2023. Somethin' ain't right here with the logic. We would certainly expect that because things didn't happen as expected many will fall away ( 2 Peter 3:4; Matt. 24:28).

Psalms 34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Isaiah 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

Alex 1939...Hiya Benjamin...Good question, hope i can help you...But its in the spritual realm...As Faith is the result of his word planted in our hearts...The living word is that good seed that forms Christ in us...In the spiritual realm ....As the scripture says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word ( the living word ) of God...His voice,...Today if you will hear his voice...Its like a spritual pregnancy the Child is the H.G...The kingdom...Unless you receive the Kingdom as a lil Child you will in no wise enter there in Thats y Hebrews 11:1 tells us Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen....Jesus tells us unless you receive the Kingdom of God as a lil Child you will in no wise enter there in...Thats y he has to know us so he can plant his incorruptible seed in our hearts initiating a spritual pregnancy of Christ in us...But there is a time of gestation thats when we walk by faith and not by sight...We have the substance of things hoped for the Spirit the H.G...But we also have the evidence of things not seen Faith....Faith is truly a spritual pregnancy that preceeds a heavenly birth of Christ in us... Gal 4:19 my lil Children of whom i travail in birth till Christ is formed in you...We cannot see the Child the H.G that Child of Promise he is just a spritual infant that cannot speak for a while...But he is the anointing that spirit of truth that is gona rule all nations As in John 16:13

......But until the Kingdom comes we walk by faith and not by sight...As jesus said the kingdom comes not with observation simply b/c its in the spritual realm.

.....She brought forth a manchild that is gonna rule all nation and her Child was caught up to God and to his Throne... Rev 12:5.....This woman in Rev. 12 is the best example of faith... b/f her Child came she had the subtance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen ISAIAH 66:7..B/F she traviled she brought forth, b/f her pains came she was delivered of aman Child.

    Life is short (Part 2).

Today; we seem to think little on the next generation; hence kids have found that there isn't much value in their existence. With so many cut off before birth it is no wonder that kids would feel unvalued today and with such poor parenting skills undisciplined themselves. Hosea 4:6 indicates that because of a lack of knowledge people are perishing. Life is as a vapor as several scriptures indicate ( James 4:14). Not only are things accelerated today ( Daniel 12:4) but as I said in the last piece the value of everything has diminished. There will be no suffering loss; I assure you for cell phones; computers and other high tech entertainment sources NOT being present in heaven. We need to be careful in earthly treasures as well (See Luke 16:11); such behaviors show what is really in our hearts as to our conduct in this world.

In light of these facts; do we consider how great it is that we are saved from having to be in an unregenerate state for all eternity? Isaiah 66:4 describes how God "chooses their delusions" and later on at the end of that chapter a vivid description of hell is given. Phillipians 1:21 states that Paul said "to live is Christ; to die is gain." and other verses show that it is better to be in the house of mourning rather than mindless happiness ( Ecclesiastes 7:2).

In light of all this; we do well to see how we approach the House of Worship but also how we live out the rest of the week. It is sad today how many people insist on having beepers and other cell phone distractions interrupt the services. Personally; I feel a need to have a cell phone only in case my elderly parents have an emergency at home. That was the original use of "beepers". For every moment here on earth there are eternal ramifications; we need to focus on working while it is yet day ( John 9:4). As for Christ it is also for us in that respect our time to serve here is short and we need to focus on the Great Commission.

    Revelation 21 continued

As we enter into verse 8; we have the first of several statements as to the fate of the wicked.

It is hard to even bear thinking about these things without pleading to God for strength. We notice the cowardly state as being the first sin mentioned. We can't do it without the Lord as Peter attempted to do with bravado without the Spirit. Without Him we can do nothing. As we see a parallel verse in Isaiah 66:24 we see the state of man either in hades during the Millennium or during the eternal state. We see how God's mercy and forgiveness are only for when they are in this life; and we also see how they will be an abhorrence to all that see them. There is no way to overstate here how important hearing God's voice is at the present above all of life's distractions and temptations and comforts. I can't see how anyone no matter how mature they are in the Lord isn't broken when considering these things; and ever grateful that God saved them from this unspeakable horror.

The rest of the chapter basically describes heaven coming down to earth and it's dimensions and foundation stones. Again; as stated previously when we consider the affect of a city almost the size of the moon landing on the earth surely the edges would be pressed out and likely the mantle would expose itself to the surface which would allow lava (i.e. the lake of fire) to be outside the gates. We see this also in other verses where Christ warns that heaven will be seen but "you yourselves thrust out" ( Luke 13:28).

There will be some existence of kings on the earth; whether it symbolizes those of the church or those perhaps who lived through the Millennium period bringing glory and honor into it. The doors are not shut day and night (implying that even if the light of the sun and moon aren't NEEDED they still may exist). Again; the last verse is a terrifying reminder that unsaved people will not enter or be able to. They are locked forever in sin.

    1Corinthians 10:23,

    Leviticus 11, Isaiah 66:17,

Have you noticed we can do, eat, act, drink, anything, anyway we want but there's long-term consequences, sometimes immediate consequences. Many of the foods GOD's law given to Moses for Israel are found to be linked to disease, obesity, diabetes, etc, etc. Pork & strong alcohol drinks related to dementia. Even in patience in their 30's.

    So, as Paul said, above._._

    Hopefully these are helpful

    Revelation: Final introduction thoughts

The heart is deceitful above all things; and desperately wicked; who can understand it? ( Jeremiah 17:9).

Whenever we attempt to make study of this book in particular; or any other scripture as a purely academic exercise; we are always deficient of understanding at best; and subject to deceiving ourselves. 2 Thessalonians 2:11 warns that they shall believe THE lie; and that not for want of truth; but because they did not LOVE the truth as stated in the previous verse. Isaiah 66:4 warns of God "choosing" their delusions with the horrifying spectacle of hell being seen by all men during the Millennium and perhaps eternity (verse 22-24 of same chapter). ALL will worship the beast; all whose names have not been written in the Book of Life from before the foundation of the world ( Rev. 13:8 loosely translated).

Given these sober admonitions; we need to test ourselves to see if we are in the faith ( 2 Cor. 13:5-6). This reminds us of Christ's excoriation of the Pharisees as to Satan being their father ( John 8:44 as one example of many). We need to have true repentance; not only for our outward manifestations of sin; but a change of heart. This means the world; flesh and the Devil are all factored in here. Christ needs not only to be the center of our lives; but indeed IS our life if we are truly "crucified with Christ" ( Galatians 2:20). A sign that we have spiritual life is when we are incredulous that we really have died to self; as sin becomes more and more evident during the sanctification process. This likely is part of the verse John 18:37 where He describes those who come to the light. This needs to be an ongoing process; just as is the meaning of John 3:16. We need; therefore to be possessors of He who is faithful; not just confessors of the faith. A lack of understanding this makes one believe the fallacy that "God helps those who help themselves" which was a Ben Franklin adage. We must die daily.

    John 12 and Predestination

This section goes from they did not believe (as seen in John 6:64; 8:46 and others) to verse 39 of this chapter which states that they COULD not believe as prophesied in Isaiah 53:1.

Verse 42 serves as a harsh reminder that we can have belief in Christ but we also must CONFESS with our mouths ( Romans 10:9-10) in order to have saving faith. We are reminded here of Luke 16:15 which states that which is honorable among men is an abomination to God.

Here; it was praise of men that was the cause; and being thrown out of the synagogue; not even direct physical persecution.

Verse 48 reminds us of the conviction of the Spirit as mentioned in John 16:8; a few chapters later. Clearly; the whole Godhead works as a unit in tandem in ways mysterious to man.

Verse 40 goes on further to state from Isaiah about God Himself blinding men. Some other verses on that include 2 Thessalonians 2:11 where God Himself sends strong delusion so that they will believe the lie because of the previous verse where they did not LOVE the truth. Also we have Isaiah 66:4 where it says that God will choose their delusions.

All sin stems from self justification; and self love that cannot accept the true state of our souls as fallen man because of Adam and his progeny that makes up natural man. Naked we come into this world and naked we shall go ( Job 1:21); also see Ecclesiastes 5:15. We cannot love anything above God; Jesus uses the word HATE for anything else ( Luke 14:25-26). We see the general sentiment in verse 25 of this chapter. Clearly; Christ Himself showed love in the previous chapter for Lazarus; Mary and Martha as well as John when He said "Behold your mother" to John at the cross so that he could take care of her. ( John 19:26-27).

There were times when they sought Him out when He stated the more important principle that those who followed Him were brothers; sisters; etc. ( Luke 8:21).

The blueprint for being a child of God or not is in John 12.

    Isaiah 66: 2

For all those things hath Mine hand made and all those things have been , saith the LORD: but to this man , will I Look ,even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word .

Reminds me of the verse humble theyself before the Lord . And why not ? Gods greatnesses cannot be found out . Amen !

Doug , you bring up a great point that almost no one teaches on , much less has a clue about. So you have provided a number of verses on "clouds" allow me to provide a few more that will open things up for you and all else who read this.

Psalms 104:3 " who maketh the clouds his chariot" .... that is the KEY to the clouds . A cloud or clouds plural are actually referencing his chariot and fleet of chariots in Psalms 68:17 "The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels:

the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place." 20,000 chariots would be a flying fleet of aircraft/spacecraft, as he comes down from heaven and maneuvers through the skies of earth. Look at Isaiah 66:15 "For behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his CHARIOTS....." this is at the second coming ! This clearly ties in with the armies in heaven which follow him in Revelation 19:14

That should open things up a little for you. A detailed study of the Mt of Transfiguration where a cloud comes with the Father in it bringing Moses and Elijah.... "and they feared (the disciples) as they (Moses and Elijah) ENTERED INTO THE CLOUD".. Like 9:34. Yeah, I bet they did. First off, Moses was resurrected - Jude 1:9. Elijah went up in a chariot in 2 Kings 2. They then return in one of these Cloud-Chariots with the Father to talk to Jesus before his death. This fulfills the prophecy Jesus gave the week before about some standing here not tasting death till they see the kingdom of God .... Matthew 16 end - Matthew 17:1-10 Mark 9:1:10 Luke 9:26-36

As for the Ascension of Christ in Acts 1, it is likely the same cloud of the Mt of Transfiguration, as Jesus goes to sit on the right hand of the Father. This doctrine is virtually unknown to most all Christians, much less those that teach or preach to them. Thanks be to God I happened across a website a few years back where the late Patrick Cooke laid this all out in detail. Opened my eyes quite a bit.

Obviously, Peter, James and John see the kingdom coming at the Mt of Transfiguration. John especially, the Book of Revelation.

Compare all 3 passages of Matthew 17:1-9, Mark 9:1-9 and Luke 9:26-36.

Remember, Moses had died and God had buried him. Michael the archangel goes to get his body Jude 1:9

Elias (Elijah) was picked up by a chariot of fire 2 Kings 2:11-12.

They are returned by and re-enter a "cloud" where the voice of the Father is heard, Luke 9:34-35. Note the Father must have been in that cloud / chariot.

The clouds and chariots connection is found in Psalm 104:3 The clouds typify the chariots of the LORD which number 20,000 Psalm 68:17.. notice they are "as in Sinai", Moses time in Exodus. Of course the Cloud in Exodus performed as an aircraft / spacecraft as it came down from heaven and then did many aerial maneuvers.

When the second coming happens it is referred to many times as a "day of clouds" and in Isaiah 66:15 it involves "his chariots",

which is a fleet of at least 20,000 - Psalms 68:17.

Moses and Elias represent the Law and the Prophets, which is what Jesus came to fulfill - Luke 24:44 and they "spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem" - Luke 9:31

So then, Jesus makes the statement that there be some standing here which shall not taste of death till they see the kingdom of God... refers to the event of The Mt of Transfiguration event.

The earlier comment would be true in regard of course to the two witnesses who the whole world sees dying and being resurrected. It is fairly clear that even in hades in the past communication existed between individuals (Lazarus and the rich man); and such events are also seen in the Transfiguration and indeed throughout Revelation where the saints of God are asking "how long" when still in a spirit form under the altar. There is also some time element here; eventually even those in hell will all come out of their graves for the "Great White Throne Judgment" and the saints of God of course are Raptured/Resurrected before that. (although some eschatologies think it happens all at once at that time).

We could; of course look to many "near death" and death documentaries. We can't validate the theological aspects of all types of experiences as true but there is a rather uniform description of having vision of all things around them (360 degree aspect) in many accounts. Physically; of course those who are still physically alive at His return will see Him come (as lightning goes from the east to the west). ( Matthew 24:27). We also have Hebrews 9:27; as well as other verses showing that we all stand before God immediately after death ( 2 Cor. 5:6 also). We have all tribes mourning when He comes back to earth ( Zechariah 12:12).

There seem to be some verses saying that places that have neither heard of his fame or seen His glory ( Isaiah 66:20) will do so and that implies during the Millennial reign (according to my eschatological view). So there may be a process until all see Him at least those still alive physically when He comes. Nonetheless; God is beyond time and sees all things in that perspective.

(Also God created all the physical aspects of creation so certainly rules over it and can supercede things as all the miracles TRULY of God attest).

Hope this helps. Agape. Rich P.
