    Adam,

    Thank you for your comments.

The two separate accounts of creation can be found in Genesis 1:26-29 and Genesis 2:4-7.

Genesis 1:26-29 is the 6th day account of the creation of the different races that make up mankind, both male and female. The blessings and instructions given in Genesis 1:28 were given to those particular people.

Genesis 2:4-7 is the 6th day account of the creation of the specific man Adam. In Genesis 2:7, God gives us detail as to HOW both Adam and ALL of mankind are formed by Him (from the dust of the ground), but these verses concern only the particular man Adam.

Genesis 2:15-17 are the instructions given to the man Adam that are different than the instructions given to the rest of mankind. Adam was that particular man chosen by God to "till the ground" ( Genesis 2:5) and be a farmer in God's Garden; and try to resist Satan.

Genesis 2:21-23 is the formation of Eve FROM Adam. This is not creation of mankind, both "male and female" as found in Genesis 1:28, which concerns all of the races. This particular lineage is very special for all of mankind. It begins with the divine act of our heavenly Father taking a "rib" from Adam and creating Eve (one from one + the Lord God) and ends with the divine act of the Holy Spirit through Mary bringing about the promised birth ( Genesis 3:15) of the Lord and Savior of all the earth (one from one + the Holy Spirit) ( Isaiah 7:14).

I believe that you are partially correct concerning Adam. Adam is the first man and Eve is the first woman.. OF THE LINEAGE THAT WILL BRING FORTH THE MESSIAH; as 1 Corinthians 15:45 states. The other races were created on the 6th day along with Adam. We know this because God ENDED all of His creative work by the end of the 6th day ( Genesis 2:1, 2).

    Hi Chris,

    (page 1)

I will attempt to be less confusing. I apologize for possibly trying to give too much information.

There are two accounts of the creation of man. The first account is found in Genesis 1:26-29. The second account can be found in Genesis 2:4-7.

Genesis 1:26-29 is the 6th day account of the creation of the different races that make up mankind, both male and female. The blessings and instructions given in Genesis 1:28 were given to those particular people.

Genesis 2:4-7 is the 6th day account of the creation of the specific man Adam. DWL You write Jesus was not God? I suggest you read 1 Timothy 3:16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God (GOD) was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. GOD WITH US.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. This is why we use the king James

If you do not understand the differences between Father, Son and Holy Spirit I suggest a study on the Godhead.

Man was made in the image of God and man has a Body, Soul and Spirit which is 3 parts that make 1 man.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Not the easier concept to grasp.

No matter what sins the people had when Jesus was on earth, Jesus bore the sins on the cross and died to save all humanity...and after he did all God said for him to finish he ascended back to heaven only to return again for all the saints....all the saints get your house in order Christ is coming back like he said he would....no 1 knows the day or the hour!

In that case, Matthew 18:3 is one that shows children are innocent. Isaiah 7:15 is a vague mention of children coming to age of knowing right wrong.

Jesus appeared, then vanished and returned. His appearing was greeted with disbelief and mockery, for the most part. Having overcome death, and seeing the sin permeate every sq. Inch on earth, he disappeared and reported back to his Father. "OMG! There is noone on earth who understands what they are made of! The Father has created live humans from dust, and they rebel against him completely.

My previous comment on v5 was meant for chapter 53 and got put here by mistake!
  • Mark Diffin on Isaiah 7 - 5 years ago
Big mistranslation in v5 - he was wounded FOR our transgressions. The correct translation is - he was wounded FROM our transgressions. Go and check the original Hebrew if you don't believe me. There is a world of difference in this - FROM does not imply any forgiveness from the sinner. Forgiveness is only granted by the sinner himself repenting as is stated in many places. May we all merit this!
  • Mark Diffin on Isaiah 7 - 5 years ago
Alex, yes, Zacharia was killed, but by the mob but not by the Pharisees. Are you blaming the Pharasees even for killing Abel?! I do not regard Matthew as reliable (see my comments on ch2). I just wonder how many Jews have been killed because of this Ch23. I am still waiting for names and sources for the Pharasees (the Jews faithful to the Torah) having killed a single prophet, let alone most/all

to eli inman... Angel Gabriel didn't speak greek to Mary ( didn't say JESUS ). Gabriel spoke Hebrew - by saying the name Yeshua )
  • Eli inman on Isaiah 7 - 6 years ago
for Dennis J. Isreal Mary named her baby Jesus because Gabriel, GOD's angel, told her to. Luke 1 I don't know how the name Jesus correlates to Immanuel.

When God Gave Isaiah The Prophecy 700 Years Beforehand, That His Name Would Be Called Immanuel: Isaiah 7:14 Matthew 1:23 Emmanuel Why Did Joseph Change Our Saviour's Prophesied Name Emmanuel To A Greek Translated Name: Iesus Jesus, which means Hail Zeus??? I've Often Wondered Why The Church Doesn't Experience All Of God's Promises Christ Endowed Gifts As They Did When They Called Him EMMANUEL CAUSE GOD WAS WITH THEM, THAT'S WHAT EMMANUEL MEANS THAT GOD Would Be WITH US THE Same As With Them: TODAY YESTERDAY FOREVERMORE!!! !!!
  • A disciple on Isaiah 7 - 6 years ago
Alex; It wasn't because the Jews' loving and keeping the Law of God that they fell short of His grace and knew not His Spirit; but because they loved themselves more, and thought that religion had no more meaning than an outward stage performance. If they had known God's Law, they would have known God's ministers speaking to them, and would have received their words like the REAL Saints all do!
  • Alex on Isaiah 7 - 6 years ago
There was no other nation that cared about the law like Israel.THEY WERE SOLA SCRIPTURA. BUT ISRAEL STONED EVERY PROPHET THAT GOD SENT THEM AND REJECTED THE CHRIST, THE LAW CD NOT ARREST OR ADDRESS MANS EVIL ADAMIC NATURE,David was a man after GODS own heart, But he seduced Bathsheba and had Uriah HIS NEIGHBOR killed, MURDER 1.Thats Y Paul said what the LAW CD NOT DO GOD HAD TO SEND HIS SON ETC.

Dan; you could actually look it up for yourself; it's in Strong's Concordance! Pierced - Psalm 22:16 #738 Arei or Aryeh [Aleph Resh Yode] from #717 Arah [Aleph Resh He]. Virgin - Isaiah 7:14 #5959 'Almah [Ayin Lamed Mem He] (fem. form of #5958 'Alam [Ayin Lamed Mem]); a lass (as veiled or private); damsel, maid, virgin. You can study day and night, but will never know if you're not of the truth.

Wow, A Disciple, I have never heard that before. Could you kindly give me the Hebrew letters spelling of this word 'araw' so I could look into it. Many thanks. Anything to say on virgin of Isaiah 7:14?
  • Dan123 on Psalms 22 - 7 years ago
I would say that Mark D has a point. Isn't there a problem also with the virgin of Isaiah 7:14?
A disciple - you are not answering satisfactorily - how far can the 'spirit' go and who possesses it?
  • A disciple on Isaiah 7 - 7 years ago
God calls many, who after prove unworthy, and end up doing and causing very much evil. King Saul ended up being an enemy and persecutor, and caused civil war in Israel, because of his envy of David. Ahaz ended up being the one who called the Assyrians for help; which ultimately destroyed and carried away captive the whole Northern kingdom. Apostates and hypocrites are the worst traitors!
  • Irene123 on Isaiah 7 - 7 years ago
The reason the Jews didn't/don't believe in Jesus is because of the same idea His apostles had in Acts 1:6. The Jewish nation is still looking for the restoration of the old boundaries of Israel to be in control of the Jewish nation. They never understood because they wanted what they wanted - not God's will, in their lives. We are to PRAY for Jerusalem ........

Hello David H. I disagree with you, this isn't what the writers of the NT believed at all. You should read Matthew 1 v.23 and Luke 1 v.35. God bless
