This scripture in Jeremiah 10:23 is an inspired word that tells mankind that we need divine direction from Jehovah to succeed in our daily lives. As when he was God and King of the Nation of Israel they prospered, but when they wanted a king from amongst themselves they did not fare well. Just look at the rulers of the world today. Jeff - Am I Catholic? No! I do not belong to any denomination, nor do I consider myself to be "Christian." I do believe in Christ, but I don't claim the title "Christian" for several reasons. Instead I just consider myself a believer.
1st: The book of Revelation talks about "Mystery Babylon," where the false prophet will come from in the end days. We are told to flee her. She is also called the "Mother of Har lots." I believe, based on the description, that the Catholic Church is Mystery Babylon, and the denominations are her daughters. Flee the "churches."
2nd: To be a "Christian" means to be "Christ-like." I mess up and sin everyday, despite knowing better. Not very "Christ-like." The 1st day Sabbath is a Catholic invention. It's not in the Scriptures. The Scriptures says to keep the 7th day Sabbath. Which is from sunset the night before to sunset the day of on our calendars. This is not the Jews Sabbath, it's His.
The "churches" teach he died on the 6th evening and was resurrected the morning of the 1st day. Christ said he would be in the belly of the earth for 3 days and 3 nights. So mathematically what they teach is impossible. He did die in the evening, in a Biblical day - or around 3 p.m. He was resurrected on the 1st day - the night of (so the night prior on our calendar).
Which means he died on the 4th day of the week just prior to sunset, and was resurrected just after sunset on the 1st day. 3 days and 3 nights ( 5th n/d, 6th n/d, 7th n/d).
I already talked about the "Laws of Moses" in a previous post. Christ didn't come to bring peace on earth. Matthew 10:34-36 says in his own words that he didn't come to do that. The exact opposite in fact. The Antichrist comes claiming to be Christ and does that though... Nor did Christ have long hair. 1 Corinthians 11:14-15 says that if a man has long hair it's a shameful thing. So why would Christ do it? He didn't.
There are so many other false teaching that the "churches" teach, regardless of denomination. I'm not trying to be mean or arrogant, or rude. They are teaching lies. WHAT I THINK ABOUT ACT 5:30, THE TREE IS REFERED TO A TOTURE STAKE. AS Acts 2:23, Acts 10:39 and galation 3:13 also shows that the tree was a stake. And the stake was like a stick pointing straight up(l) so Jesus died on a tree not a cross. Even if he did die on a cross as Exodus 20:4,5 and Jeremiah 10:3-5 shows that it is a commitment of idolatry if we crave any image of heaven like or Earth like creatures as a protection or anything that stands for God. And 1 Corinthians 6:9,10 shows that anybody who commit idolatry will be no part of God's kingdom.

You see Jo All doctrines of modern Christianity are made by man. They are definitely not quotes from the bible For example;
The Trinity, Divine Son ship Of Jesus Christ, Original sin and atonement.
Jesus as he says in

Mark 13:32 "No one knows the day or hour when these things will happen not even the angles in heaven or the SON himself, ONLY THE FATHER KNOWS"
The word Trinity is not Biblical nor is it used in any Bibles or Bible dictionaries. Trinity was never specifically mentioned by Jesus. The formation of the word "Trinity"was presented by Athenasius, an Egyptian Deacon from Alexandria and was accepted by the council of Nicea more than three centuries after Jesus had departed from this earth.
Other such "Man made" decisions of the council contributed to the declaration of the Roman Sunday as the Christian Sabbath, and the establishment of December 25th as Jesus birthday. This was done in order to have a celebration that occurred on the same day as the birthday of the pagan gods such as Nimrod (Babylon god) Krishna, (Hindus god), Mithra (Greek god) and Dionysius (Bacchus of greece)who is named the only begotten son of Jupiter and was born of the virgin mother Demeter, on the 25th of December. As you can see the celebration of the birth of Jesus is clearly an idea of pagan decent. As clear as we can read in black and white the Bible forbids even the decoration of christmas trees;
Jeremiah 10:3-4 "Their ways are fertile and foolish. They cut down a tree and a craftsman carves an idol". "They decorate it with gold and silver and than fasten it securely with hammer and nails so it won't fall over".
The conclusions to my recent research on religion is that we so called true Christians are not even close to abiding by Gods laws, far from it. We are such Hippocrates.
