I see something from this scripture.Jesus spoke about it again. He said, 'haven 't I chosen twelve of you,and one is the devil. 'This means God knows us no matter who you are.Whether from the village, town, poor countries or richer ones.God knew you me before an eye saw you me.WE are not lost i Christ our Lord.

This scripture make me understand that so far as God is in control,we 're nt to fear anything because He has made us a fortified city nd an iron pillar
  • Silas on Jeremiah 1:19 - 10 years ago
we serve Him who is all powerful, all authority belongs to Him.The Grandmaster who brought this universe into being and oversees happenings on this earth, He reserves the ultimate privilege to avert otherwise an almost predictable situation and when He does that frickle minded man comes back to realization that He still exists. This is the Man who has put out that promise in Jeremiah 1 19, that we would come out victorious when we find ourselves confronted with life 's hostilities, are you indemnified by this perpetual promise or do you doubt this Man?

The Lord revealed to me in verses 17 19 that no matter what trial I face He will always give me strength. No matter the outcome of the situation He is my defense. No matter the situation, God wants us to speak in a manner that pleases and honors Him, and if we do that, he gives us boldness to stand in the face of adversity and oposition. This doesn 't mean the outcomes will be as we think, but that God has a plan and we can and we can stand strong as a defensed city knowing God is in control, and we can be secure in that. Thank you Had for giving me the opportunity to be bold, and to fully rely on you.

This passage is a warning with an incredible blessing as well as a promise from God that faith and courage will be the outcome for patience endurance. The warning which is truly the gift of PROPHECY and the promise of fulfillment in due time, which is the true test of faith. The blessing is he we may be knocked down or even left for dead but he we will never be out down but not out!

Jere 1 5 8. That God had the master plan for my life before I was conceived. His assurance that as I journey on to His higher calling fearing no one but looking to Him from whence cometh my help, He would be there to deliver and see me through. For to know God is to know no fear. Praise be to the High Most God.

    Comments on Jeremiah 1:5
Life is sacred: only God can give it, and only He has the right to take it. He is the source of life and the life giver. Jesus says in Jn. 14:6: “I am the way, the truth, and the life…” We are “formed” by Him, and our first cell contains a complete DNA formula of the future man or woman. This is why God is commanding in Exodus 20:13: “Thou shalt not kill”. Therefore to kill or to take a human life by abortion is a great sin.

VERSE 8,9 I MADE YOU JUST THE WAY YOU ARE I KNEW WHO YOU WAS AND WHAT YOU WAS BEFORE YOU WAS BORN AND DON,T BE AFRAID I AM PARTLY DEAF HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT AM I OR WHAT MORE CAN I DO,I FIND MY SELF TALKING LIKE A PROPHET AND SPEAKING THE WORD OF THE LORD TO HIS PEOPLE AND THEY RECIEVE IT WITH JOY,I WAS AFRAID CAN'T HEAR AND WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF ME AS A DEAF PERSON, THANK GOD FOR LEADING ME BECASUE HE KNOWS WHO I AM AND WAS BEFORE I WAS BORN ,I MAY CONTINUE TO LET THE HOLYGHOST LEAD ME UNTIL GOD SAY TO ME THIS OR THAT'S WHAT I WANT YOU TO DO I KNOW HE NEVER LEFT ME NOR FORSAKEN ME.

Verse 19,,they will fight against thee but they shall not prevail" the scripture gives me peace for i know that when i have God by my side i will overcome anything..
  • Jesse on Jeremiah 1:16 - 10 years ago
This passage struck me as violent and retributive at first, but maybe I read it incorrectly. God says "I will utter My judgments against them touching all their wickedness." He doesn't seem to punish "wicked men", rather his judgments are targeted at "their wickedness". I think God freed these men rather than punishing them; He cast out their demons that hid the Lord from them encouraged them to sin. I think this is actually a story of redemption.
  • Mockingbird on Jeremiah 1:5 - 10 years ago
This scripture is so very precious:God knew who and what I would become !!!! I am still "becoming",He ordained me/us to be a prophet. When I/we speak the word of God I/we are prophets.I am so Blessed to be known and formed by the hand of my Great and Mighty Lord and Saviour and God !!!!! Praise God for His Love!!!
  • Malomo Zibabo on Jeremiah 1:5 - 10 years ago
This reminds us that GOD knows the purpose why we were born. So it is left for each individual to find out that reason

  • Timesoftrouble on Jeremiah 1:10 - 10 years ago
This world of believers can see no truth with understanding which is why none, no, not one person pleases God as written in Psalms 14:2-3; therefore they see not this world filled with lies and corruption being pulled up by its roots and cast into the fires of tribulation for its coming destruction; and once then when God's kingdom comes, those chosen as overcomers of the god of this world will be able to build and plant a righteous human race through God's laws based on love rather than pathetic human rule which has brought destruction.

  • Margaret on Jeremiah 1:5 - 11 years ago
This is regarding pre-ordained, chosen, I foreknew you before; (I chose you before the foundation of the world), the overthrow of Satan. Check out the word foundation, it is not like the foundation of a building, it is casting down. God's overthrow of the World That Then Was, spoken of by Peter. God knew Jeremiah could cut it, as a prophet, he knew him from the first heaven and earth age and knew he could trust him, to do what God wanted him to do; he cannot trust that old Devil, that cause everybit of this earth age. May God Bless you.

    To Mosadoluwa.
Where did you find that Jeremiah was 6 years old?
  • Ann on Jeremiah 1:19 - 11 years ago
I have learned not to rely on myself but to trust in God in all things. I cannot control many of things that happen in life so why not trust in the one that created us and can make the impossible, possible. God gives us peace, not as the world gives it but, through the spirit of truth the HOLY SPIRIT. When we trust in God, all things are possible for those who believe. "Faith is the substance of things hope for and evidence not seen." Hebrew 11:1, if you believe and have hope then expect it to happen.
  • Mosadoluwa Olaniyi on Jeremiah 1 - 11 years ago
That chapter is what we can fear about because the task God gave Jeremaiah was very great.A child of six year old to face a nation or nations with great priests and prophets and powerful leader is very rear. But since the God work and the prophesy of the sender he has nothing to fear about. Therefore, when God sends us messages we don't need to fear because He will protect us.
  • Thomas on Jeremiah 1:5 - 11 years ago
This is the voice of God concerning the bride of Christ. God created us with a purpose, and a commission to perform in our lives. It reflected in Jeremiah's life as well as John the Baptist also. In this generation, we are the people to fulfill this prophecy by submit our life to do the will of God.
