Jeremiah covers the capture of each area & continues to warn them to repent. Jeremiah 1:1-3, Jeremiah 4:1-2, Jeremiah 5:1, Jeremiah 7:1-15, Jeremiah 10:20-21, Jeremiah 11, Jeremiah 12, Jeremiah 34:8-22,

Prophetic promise: Jeremiah 23:3-7, Jeremiah 30:3-4, Jeremiah 31, Jeremiah 33:7-17,

    Jeremiah 29, note Jeremiah 29:1-4,

Daniel was taken into captivity as young boy, Daniel 1:1, Daniel 9:1-2, Jeremiah 29:10, but looks to have returned in Ezra 8:2

Note: Jeremiah 37:1-3, king Zedekiah instead, Coniah only mentioned here & Jeremiah 22:24,28, not in Isaiah or other Books in Bible of this account, including the Books of Kings, nor the Books of Chronicles.

    Hebrews 5, Hebrews 6, Hebrews 7,

Hopefully these are helpful in your study

This is a fascinating thing. I heard a sermon one time saying the words spoken about "if someone sees the face of GOD they cannot live" he said "they cannot live, the same" Is this the question you're looking deeper into? Genesis 32:20,30, Exodus 33:11, Exodus 34:28-30,35,

    It would be very interesting to do a study on the words. Exodus 3:6, Exodus 33:20,23, Numbers 6:25, Deuteronomy 5:1-5, Deuteronomy 31:17,18, Deuteronomy 32:20, Deuteronomy 34:10, Judges 6:22, 1Kings 13:6, 1Chronicles 16:11, 2Chronicles 7:14, 2Chronicles 30:9, Psalms 13:1, Psalms 17:5, Psalms 22:24, Psalms 105:4, Isaiah 54:8, Isaiah 59:2, Jeremiah 21:10, Ezekiel 20:35,

Perhaps it's the word "man" that the emphasise is. Romans 8:14, Galatians 4:6, Hebrews 12:7, John 1:12, Philippians 2:15, 1John 3:1,2 , 1John 4:15, How sad it is when a living father says "see his face no more" or turns his face.

Genesis 3:8-10, interestingly, in this translation it says they heard "the voice of the LORD" they "hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God"

What's amazing is: Genesis 4:16, it appears even though they were cast out of the garden GOD's presence was still with them.

    Psalms 139, Job 4:15,

    Hopefully this is helpful

In response to 1 Peter 4:18; If you refer to the original Greek interpretation of the word "saved" it means "delivered". There are "few" of God's elect that will be delivered from their ignorance of God's righteousness by the Holy Spirit within them revealing the correct understanding of God's righteousness by his Son's death on the cross imputing his righteousness unto them.

Most of God's elect have "a zeal" of God, but not according to knowledge, for they being ignorant of God's righteousness, are going about to establish their own righteousness, having not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Matt 7:13-14, Gives us the division of the few that have been revealed the knowledge of God's righteousness who enter into the straight gate and the narrow way that leads them to enjoy an abundant life as they sojourn here on earth. Those that enter the wide gate and the broad way are the vast majority of God's elect who are teaching and preaching eternal deliverance by their good works, which leads to destruction. All of God's elect have had their sins paid for by Jesus on the cross and will all enjoy eternal deliverance into heaven, without the lose of even one.

I believe the scriptures teach that there will be more to enter heaven, than hell, as many as the stars in heaven and the sand in the seashore, too numerous to count.

Jeremiah 21:8, I do not believe that this passage is referring to "life in heaven", and "death in hell". "Death" according to Greek translation means "separation". God is telling his elect to choose that abundant life that we can enjoy by entering into the strait gate referred to in Matt 7. The "death" would be a separation from enjoying that good and abundant life.

God granted mankind the ability to choose out the way he wants to live his life here on earth, and mankind choose not to seek God. Psalms 53:2-3. God, by his foreknowledge of this, choose an elect people from within those that did not seek him.

Don't believe in man's words.the popular preaching today leads us to believe that if we just believe in Jesus we will be saved. This is a very popular worldly view today, and conjured up to make people think we are saved and can not fail to achieve heaven. It is a false sense of security, and a false teaching! It is contrary to what our bible scripture instructs us. Ask yourself: Do you really want to follow the popular worldly view?

Read and believe in your bible scripture

    Jeremiah 21:8

"And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death."

God said:" I set before you a way of life, and a way of death!" Even though God and his Son Jesus Christ gave us a path to life. Not everyone will find their way..many more people will find Death!

    1 Peter 4:18

"And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?"

If the righteous "SCARCELY" be saved..doesn't sound like many people will get to heaven. Do you believe this? I do.

And why did Jesus say this scripture below if he didn't mean it to be TRUE!

    Matthew 7:13

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:"

Jesus is telling all of us that will listen - there is no free ticket to heaven.

    God Bless

This chapter reminds me of men religion, which is taught over the word of God in the churches in the US. It was not the not the pagans that God was punishing it was the people whom He had choose to be His earthly family the Jews. They were the one who knew his laws and commandments, and choose to be disobedient. They now would be punished and cut off from God. God is no respecter of sinful fools

Many look for help and pray to God, when fear of judgment and punishment for their sins comes upon them; but inwardly they have no heart for actually being converted, or doing Jesus' commandments. It is today like in Genesis 6: it was because of apostasy, and that the "sons of God" would no longer obey the conviction of the Spirit; that the whole of mankind was ruined beyond remedy, and destroyed.

This chapter is trying to teach us, if you are a Christian and you turn from God, this is worse than being a non Christian. We should seek God's help and wisdom every day and every respect of our life, not only in bad times.

Lord, Jeremiah 21 helps me understand a dream I had of snakes in houses. They were all over the door of the houses, laying on the door seals as you enter the houses. I was setting fire to the houses.
