    Hello Aaron,

Welcome to the discussion, I think I may have seen some posts from you, possibly.

I think I agree with your statement about the Babylonian captivity because of: Jeremiah 34:8-22, There's also: Jeremiah 22:3,4,5,17, Ezekiel 22:7,29,

Daniel prophetic dreams & explanations, I try to line up with other scripture when I can.

However when you say "America" I have learned many people outside of USA, more often of the "America" Continents, will reference themselves as American, especially when immigrating into USA, likewise other Continental countries call them American, USA often called The States; I've learned in recent years. Being this is a globally active website I try to clarify USA. If you're speaking only of USA, I would like to comment to that. I feel it unfair to group all U.S. into that assessment. However many Psalms 62:10, treasonous, tyrannical leaders within industry, Ezekiel 46:18, banking, loans, education, political, etc Isaiah 5:7-8,, definitely fit into that. Quite possibly we, most of us, fall into the category of the oppressed more than the oppressors = that GOD will deliver, protect & bring justice: 2Peter 2, Psalms 37, Psalms 12:5, Ecclesiastes 5:8, Isaiah 54:15-17,

Hopefully these last few scriptures are encouraging

    Chris,

I agree with the way you adressed this topic before. I believe you helped break down the biggest most divisive issue, when there is hypocrisy with abuses & blatant unrepented sins, there is accountability. I believe Jesus clearly taught accountability & old testament usually addressed as within Church / temple & leadership within, also: Isaiah 9:17, Matthew 20:1-19, Luke 20:45-47, Luke 11:39-54, Matthew 23, Isaiah 1:17, Isaiah 1, Isaiah 58, Jeremiah 7:1-17, Jeremiah 22:3, Jeremiah 34:8-12 ._..

I believe you Chris or possibly someone else addressed the question we're they ever really saved?

I address this question as to answer the many outside the church who ask because of injustice etc. This site is for those, I believe most of all.

Faith Knight, I also agree with Adam & Chris this is an issue with disagreement. & hesitation is possibly warning. But, I included scripture covering love, meekness in the way, its addressed. John 15:18,24,25, Luke 21:17, Zechariah 13:6,

    Count the cost? Luke 14:26-35,

Said in sincerity of Love, through the fellowship of Faith in Jesus Christ

    Thelma Spangler,

I've experienced similar situations with " experienced contractors" that had really bad results. I've experienced much of that. Next time I think it may be wise for myself to inquire & require " high quality results " instead of " experienced ". I actually learned how to install my own carpet without stretching it. I had the carpet dealer cut the exact size for each room. When needed I would have it cut with extra length, for walkway, & closets, preventing seams. Then I would carefully cut those to fit as I layed it in place with a carpet knife. The " tact strip" nails alongside the walls grab carpet to lock in place. When the carpet weight is overwhelming I've had rooms clear, clean & ready to install & the carpet rolls delivered to each room. The carpet is much more manageable when opened & rolled out.

So it seems the main question is how to handle this situation as GOD fearing believers. After a bad job has been done.?

    1st prayer, Proverbs 3:6, Proverbs 11:5,

2nd don't withhold wages to the wage earner: Proverbs 3:27, Leviticus 19:13, Jeremiah 22:13, Malachi 3:5,

    3rd justice & judgement : Proverbs 3:27, Job 8:3, Proverbs 21:3, Ecclesiastes 5:8, Isaiah 56:1,

Is it justice to speak up, to inform others? I ask you to seek GOD's direction & discernment on these. I'm reminded of: Matthew 5,

    Hopefully these are helpful

Thanks for getting back with me....

How could Joseph quality the Lord Jesus Christ to be of the tribe of Judah, when Jesus Christ was not of his seed? Jeremiah 22:28-30..... In Matthew 1 it lets us know that the physical seed of the father determines the tribe!

I was studying Law in Michigan when they voted & allowed the horrific crime of "Partial Birth Abortion" it was described in detail. Where the woman would go full term, into natural birth then,._(the act I do not want to even speak about how) they do the horrific crime, Killing the newly born child.

In the Constitution of the United States it establishes the Right to Life. The Rights to GOD given Rights. Those are the Laws I would start with. I ask you to pray how you can honor GOD ALMIGHTY & protect innocent life.

Beautifully put. I believe some misunderstand, the "Coming of The LORD, Return of The LORD, THE Day of The LORD " as I did also, as dearly loved fellowship of Believers would pray for it. Maybe by Philippians 3:20, eagerly awaiting, & Colossians 4:2, That misinterpreted.

Then one day I read: Amos 5:18-24,

People long for Mercy, Justice, correct judgement that may be the root of the plea, prayer.

However Jesus instruction was pray "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven " Matthew 6:9-13,

    Daniel 7:27, Psalms 145:13, John 17, note John 17:15-16, Luke 17:20-21,

Hi Cecil, please read Psalm 37,

I knew a guy named Cecil at Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. He adopted a 6month old baby girl that had been horrificly abused. I read your post several times. I closed the ap. Had to pray a little & think on your post. I haven't heard from our friend Cecil since I was a teenager. The MBAFB shut down shortly after those days & everyone moved away.

Cecil, GOD is Just. Have you heard of Moses? In Genesis, Abraham was promised several amazing things, a son from his 'wife', in their old age, etc. Gen. 12:2,3,7, but also that those heirs would be servant in strange land & afflicted 400 yrs. Genesis 15:12-13, if you read in depth you can find GOD's justice. Genesis 12:10-17, Genesis 16:1-16, Genesis 21:9-19 = it was in Egypt, Abraham's children of Sarah's son Isaac's offspring were afflicted.

Genesis 18, shows great mercy of GOD that if 10 righteous were in that land (Sodom & Gomorrah) it would've been spared. That's his Nephew Lot's friends & family. ?, Right here is proof the GOD interecedes on People's behalf when they obey HIM.

GOD's ways are not our ways, Isaiah 55:8,9,

We cannot blame GOD for wickedness of man = Genesis 6:5-6,

Yet GOD shows us mercy & unimaginable love, John 3:16-17, salvation through sacrifice, Psalms 18:25-27,

GOD is merciful, true & Just. If you read the books that go alongside Isaiah you'll get a clearer picture: 2Chronicles 36, Jeremiah 29, Jeremiah 51, Exodus 22:22, Isaiah 1:17, Isaiah 1:23, Jeremiah 7:6, Jeremiah 22:3, Ezekiel 22:7, Malachi 3:5, Zechariah 7:10, you can start with those verses because that's most of what GOD asked of Israel & Judah. Then please read the Books & chapters.

    Then Babylon: 2Kings 20:12-18,19, Daniel 1, 2Kings 25:8-9, I stopped there because that's enough about the evil.

Hopefully these are helpful if you are trying to search for truth & understanding. You can also ask for wisdom James 1:5-6,21,

    Job 38:1-41, James 4:12,

    * Hebrews 7:25,

Ezekiel 24:6 Ezekiel is a Prophet of GOD ALMIGHTY as proclaimed Ezekiel 1:1-3, & verified because his prophecies happened. Seething means boiling.

Ezekiel 24:2 Jeremiah, Isaiah & other Prophets warned Israel & Judah that if they didn't do away with oppression, holding back wages of hired, justice, judgement for widows & fatherless children then they would be captured by Babylon.

    Exodus 22:22, Deuteronomy 24:17, Isaiah 1:11-25, Jeremiah 7:3-7, Jeremiah 22:3-22, Ezekiel 22:7, Zechariah 7:8-11, Malachi 3:5-

& to stop worship of other false gods: Jeremiah 7:18, Isaiah 58,

    Jeremiah 34:7-22,

During this GOD talking with Ezekiel, Ezekiel 24:1-14,

Ezekiel 24:15-19, GOD tells HIS Prophets to do very difficult things at times. "tire = headress, turban ' then explains why & what that meant : Ezekiel 24:20-25

Ezekiel 24:26-27 is amazing because from, Ezekiel 3:26-27, Jeremiah seems to be unable to speak, until chapter 6. & possibly from & apparently from Ezekiel 24:27, until Ezekiel 33:21-22, therefore fulfilling the Prophecy.

Sometimes studying much reveals much & more difficult questions sometimes take longer for understanding.

    Hopefully this is helpful.

    Hi Dwayne.

I Agree with Brother Jesse and Brother T. Lewis.

Mary was a virgin as prophesied when she conceived.

But it seems your concern was how did that play a role in the line of David right?

Mary was of the line of David also.

The Bible provides us with two lengthy genealogies of Christ. Matthew, as a Levite, focuses on the Messiahship of Jesus in that he traces the legal line from Abraham (thought to be the first Jew) through David, then Solomon and the royal line, to Joseph, the legal father of Jesus ( Matthew 1:1-17) and the husband of Mary. Luke, as a physician, focuses on the humanity of Jesus. He traces the blood line from Adam (the Son of God versus us, the sons of Adam) and once Luke gets to Abraham, the genealogy is identical to Matthew's up to the House of David. Then Luke goes from David, through Nathan (a different son of David) to Mary, the mother of Jesus ( Luke 3:23-38).

By this Jesus has the legal line as well the blood line and divinely avoid the curse pronounced on king Jeconiah in

    Jeremiah 22:30.

    God bless.

    Hi Denise.

I'm going to try to answer your question and it might take 2 pages. This has the virgn birth tucked away here and the Lord working is shown in Jeremiah 22. We will come to it Later.

Jesus was to be of the HOUSE "and" LINEAGE of David. "This is not synonymous " Jesus was to be of the seed of the woman. Hear you have the LINEAGE. Which goes through Nathan.

I believe Sacha was right. The account in Luke is Mary's Genealogy. focusing on the humanity he starts with Joseph ends with Adam.

Mathew beiing a Jew focus on the Legal rights starting with Abraham and ends with Christ. Here you have the House of David going through Solomon.

But notice the twist in Jeremiah, "The last of the descendants of Solomon on the throne before they went into captivity.

" Jeremiah 22:30. Thus saith the LORD, WRITE YE THIS MAN CHILDLESS, a man that shall not prosper in his days: FOR NO MAN OF HIS SEED SHALL PROSPER, SITTING UPON THE THRONE OF DAVID, and ruling any more in Judah. "A blood curse"

That's why the lineage is through Mary and the Legal rights is through Joseph by Marriage. Solomons lineage was cut off at Jeconiah. And that's why Jesus is called the seed of "The woman ".

Here I believe we have The House and The lineage of David.

So we have Joseph of the House and lineage of David but the right to the throne by lineage was cut off at Jeconiah.

However Jesus is not of the lineage of Joseph, He was of the seed of the woman by the Holy Ghost.

    Matthew 1:18.

    Matthew 1:20.

    I hope that helps.

    God bless.

Because God rejected Jeconiah, his name was shortened to Coniah as Je signified a connection to Jehovah God. (This came from a Bible commentary). God is a God of mercy and grace; but if we continually reject Him, He will eventually reject us.

(3-5) What was so terribly, terribly significant about the desolation of the house of David and Jerusalem; is that since they refused to be children of love and holiness and obedience, God was at length forced to rend the kingdom away from them, and put the Elect Nation under subjection to the heathen, as they ever sought to be! For this reason are we also under subjection till Jesus returns.

The "Times of the Gentiles" happened because the house of Israel has never been truly converted, nor had "such a heart in them" worthy of the LORD their God. The throne of David was taken away "until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled;" and at the coming of Christ shall be restored, both over Israel and the nations. Why don't Americans and Europeans see their own sin and judgment in the Word?
