I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you. Genesis 12:1-3.
From this promise you see that God did not choose a nation, he chose a man and built a nation from this man.
This doesn't make Israel more special; it makes God more special because he keeps his promises.
"And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
Genesis 13:14-15.
God's faithfulness and promise did not stop with the nation of Israel.
His faithfulness to keep his Word is not just true for Israel, it is true for you and I.
"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy" 1 Peter 2:9-10
When you think of the nation of Israel, and the very land where Israel sits, let it be a reminder that when God says something he will do it.
The Israelites were God's chosen people because they represent God's faithfulness to Abraham! and that he keeps his word!
He showed his faithfulness in Egypt and he's going to do it again!
"Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land"
Thank you for continuing the discussion, I also tremble at His word we are just a spec compared to our God. Deuteronomy 18:15-19 This to me is fulfilled in John 1:1 the word of God in Jesus the Messiah. When Jesus was anointed the Messiah every word that Jesus said was the word of God the word of God in the flesh of His Son. Everything that was created was created by the word of God, not His Son. God said let there be, and it was.
If we read Isaiah 66:1 we cannot imagine how large God can be. He can overwhelm all of what we can imagine. In my human mind, I see His Spirit cover the earth like a dome, omnipresent, it is like an electrical grid that believers plug into, I know that may sound weird.
John 17 I will do my best to show my understanding, this is just before Jesus was going to be nailed to the cross. Verses 1-5 Jesus is praying to the Father about Himself, the Father is God, when we pray, we pray to our Father, and we relate to God as Father, through the Bible Father means God and Jesus said to His Father He is the only true God. In and through Jesus Christ we become sons and daughters of God, so we cry out Abba, Father, Galatians 4:6.
Jesus said He had finished the work the Father had given to Him and Jesus glorified His Father on earth. Jesus is now ready to face death on the cross and fulfilling the law and the prophet's, all of what Scripture had said what He would become, and Jesus was ready to take His place on the right hand of His Father, Isaiah 53:12Jeremiah 23:5-6 2 Samuel 7:12-13Psalm 110:4Psalm 16:10, these are just a few verses that Jesus would have known about Himself.
In Daniel 7:13-14 Daniel had a prophetic vision of Jesus's ascension and God the Father giving His Son Jesus dominion and glory overall and giving Him the kingdom. God showed Daniel this was with God in the beginning, in God's plan but did not come to fruition until Jesus ascended in Acts 1:9.
Israel was the instrument used by God to introduce himself as the true and living Mighty God that provides to a pagan idol worshipping world.
They also displayed the incompetence of man in his natural state and the need of a savior.
God always keeps his promises and unconditional covenants.
He made Promises to Abraham that has yet to be fulfilled!
He showed his good will toward them in Babylon and in Egypt and he will do it again when he gather them from the four corners of the earth and bring them back into their own land.
I get all my teachings from the book from the bible. Don't know what you are talking about as the verses I use the churches refuse to talk about them or dare preach on them because it will expose them who they are.
Jeremiah 23:[9] Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of the words of his holiness.
[10] For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.
[11] For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD.
[12] Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.
18 For who hath stood in the counsel of the Lord, and hath perceived and heard his Word? who hath marked his Word, and heard it?
19 Behold, a whirlwind of the Lord is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.
20 The anger of the Lord shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of His heart: IN THE LATER DAYS ye shall consider it perfectly.
21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
What matters and prevails is the Word of GOD,the Word is GOD,self-executing,understand?and the Word made flesh-JESUS-the Almighty, warned saying in Matthews 24:15:(whoso readeth, let him understand).
Isaiah 56:8-10
8 The Lord GOD,which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith,Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
9 All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea,all ye beasts in the forest.
10 His watchmen are blind:they are all ignorant, they are all dumb DOGS,they cannot bark;sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
11 Yea,they are greedy DOGS which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand:they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
Even the Lord GOD revealed through Isaiah the watchmen of Israel are blind, they are all ignorant, they are all dumb DOGS, GREEDY DOGS,and THEY ARE SHEPHERDS(Is.56:10-11),yeah,the DOGS are shepherds, the Lord GOD said.
Paul said to the brothers of the Church of Galatia:Beware of DOGS,why?Because they are danger.GOD said by the prophet Jeremiah:Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!saith the Lord- Jeremiah 23:1.
JESUS also said to the multitude, and to His disciples too(Mat.23):The scribes and the Pharisees sat in Moses' seat, then all therefore should observe what they commanded, but they should not do according the works of them:for they did say,but they did not.
And JESUS said to the Scribes and Pharisees:Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees!Ye serpents,ye generation of vipers(according Jn.8:44-45),how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
1Pe.4:17-18
17For the time is come that Judgment must begin at the house of God:and if it first begin at us,what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of GOD?
"Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and FROM ALL COUNTRIES whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.
Hello Rrscaccia. I think you have misread this portion. If I might write it as I understand this passage ( Romans 1:1-3):
"Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, (Which he (i.e. God) had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) concerning his (i.e. God;s) Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh..."
So Paul is stating that even as he Paul was called by the Lord to be Jesus' apostle, the Gospel which Paul had to preach was of Jesus Christ, God's Son Whom God had "promised afore by His prophets..."). So where are these promises? You can look at Deuteronomy 18:18; Isaiah 9:6,7; Isaiah 53:1-12; Isaiah 61:1-3; Jeremiah 23:5 (yet a future fulfillment): these prophets all spoke of Jesus (though they didn't know Him by that Name but that One would be sent from God), Who would come from Heaven through the Davidic line, being called the Son of God by His Divine Birth.
One is heirs of the promises of salvation by faith. Galatians 3:1-16.
The other is a geographic Land here on Earth;
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land. Jeremiah 23:5-8.
The Israel of God.
Galatians 6:12-16.
Here is the context in verse 12) As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.
These were the judaizers, who wanted "to make a fair shew in the flesh" they were checking on the Galatians to constrain them to be circumcised.
We have two groups in play here within the body of Christ.
1) Messianic Jews/Israel is the circumcision, The Israel of God mentioned in verse 16.
2) The Gentiles is the uncircumcision and the "them" mentioned in verse 16,
It reads; "..peace be on them, and mercy, (AND) upon the Israel of God.
The remnant of believing Israel, "according to the election of grace" within the nation of Israel ( Rom. 9:6; 11:5), is recognized as the true "spiritual Israel"
It would have been strange for the apostle Paul, the Jewish believer who wrote Galatians, to refer to Gentile Christians as Israel.
You stated, "The promise of the physical land to Abraham and the Israelites was a shadow pointing to the heavenly land of promise, the New heavens and new earth.
The Kingdom here on earth is ushered in after the tribulation. It's an everlasting Kingdom with Satan being chained 1000 years, After Satan is released there will be a final rebellion and the inhabitants/Earth dwellers will war against God!
Gigi, if the New heavens and new earth is the Millenium, Are you saying that war is in heaven? The new Jerusalem doesn't come down until after Judgment, and then a new heaven and new earth!
It's has been a lot of jumping around on this topic by you.
I've seen several view changes on this topic, from the kingdom is in heaven, The kingdom is on earth, It's in your heart ect.
David.
Let's go over my post you replied to, Here's the context: Me- He's going to restore them right here on earth and fulfil the promises to Abraham.
Jeremiah 23:5-6.
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice IN THE EARTH.
Jeremiah 31:10
Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock. (Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off)
HE WANTS THE NATIONS TO SEE IT AND DECLARE IT AFAR OFF! THAT CAN ONLY BE DONE HERE ON EARTH.
The basis of your reply.
God speaks in Parables.
When God uses the term "Israel" or "Judah" or "Jerusalem" He can be talking about the corporate body (National Israel or the New Testament Church) or ALL True Believers (the Elect of God.
David when God is talking about bring a people back to their own Land, he's talking about a people that had one and was removed out of it.
The word Mystery in the Greek is used a little different than the way we use the word.
Mystery in the Greek is "musterion" it means something divine that has been unknown up until now but is here now being divinely revealed. "Christ IN US" " The kingdom is at hand" And the kingdom is within you etc.
When God mentions Israel in the OT, he's talking about The Nation of Israel associated with the land.
Are the 12 tribes of Israel a idiom for the Church as well?
Who are those out of the Church is called the remnant of Israel?
When did God scatter them (The Church) among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries?
When God is talking about Israel, he us NEVER talking about the Church. In fact, he makes a great distinction between Israel and the Church. Those who are post cross "Jew and Gentiles make up the Church. However, that union was hid in the OT, Salvation to the Gentiles was mentioned but not as one body. Also, the Church never had geographic land! So how can you bring them back from all nations to the "land" of Israel. The land of Israel belongs to the 12 tribes of Israel. scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries:
Can Jeremiah 16:14-15 be applied to the Church?
"Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.
But The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers."
Jeremiah 23:5 makes it clear along with many other verses.
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
He's going to restore them right here on earth and fulfil the promises to Abraham.
Jeremiah 23:5-6.
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice IN THE EARTH.
In his days JUDAH SHALL BE SAVED, AND ISRAEL SHALL DWELL SAFELY: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
And God wants the world to see it!!
Jeremiah 31:10.
Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock.
He does this for his name sake!
Ezekiel 36:22-27.
Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land... ( This will be done on earth! There's no heathens in heaven! )
Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
Hello Michaelantoni. The Hebrew word given for 'witty inventions', is as you've shown, 'mezzimah'. In your study, you would have also found out how that word is used in the other verses. In Proverbs 8:12 that you shared, this Hebrew word implies 'one's power to devise or show discretion'. Hence, the verse could read, 'I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge through the use of discretion.' Or further with that verse, 'I wisdom enjoy good sense, acquiring knowledge by the use of discretion'. And we see the same word, 'mezzimah', with its specific meaning used in Proverbs 1:4, Proverbs 2:11, Proverbs 3:21 & Proverbs 5:2.
And yes, we can see that word being applied towards 'thoughts' ( Jeremiah 23:20); 'intents' ( Jeremiah 30:24); 'device/plan' ( Jeremiah 51:11). And then we see it in 'evil thoughts' ( Psalm 10:4); 'evil schemes' ( Job 21:27); 'lewd/wicked acts' ( Jeremiah 11:15); wicked speech ( Psalm 139:20).
So to understand 'mezzimah', which meaning can be quite diverse, we need to read it as the verse gives it, in its correct context. So 'discretion or one's power to devise' appears to be the primary meaning of 'mezzimah', but how that word is used will give other associated meanings, i.e. whether one's mind works for that which is good & wholesome, or towards evil thoughts & acts. So, I believe we find an agreement here.
to answer concerning the Jeremiah 23:36 verse and the entire chapter-I do not believe that it is prophecy for today or to verify the KJV.
As to seeking to discuss things that are true, I agree.
As to continuing this thread, I think that you have stated your view multiple times and so those who read along or have posted have a clear understanding of your position. Because of this, I recommend moving on to another topic, not because I don't think it is important to discuss this topic, but because it has been fairly thoroughly presented with in depth explanations already.
Therefore, I would hope to see another topic discussed by those on this forum at this time. I don't have any sense of urging to introduce another topic at this time. Hopefully, others do. I welcome a fresh topic at this time. But this does not necessitate that you do so either.
have a wonderful day today Jimbob. I will be reading, but don't wish to engage in this topic further unless urged to do so by the Holy Spirit because I want to keep this thread from belaboring the point of view of those who participate or to have this thread appear quarrelsome in any way.
If you look back on the post you first asked about Jeremiah 23:46 i did give what I believed the Scripture was referring to-those in that day who proclaimed to be prophets but were not called by God do to so and what they prophesied was erroneous and not from God, thus Jeremiah states that they pervert what God has truly said. I stand by that interpretation.
It is stated in 2 Tim. 3:15 that all scripture is God=breathed )or inspired by God_ And in 2 Peter 1:20 it speaks of the apostles and prophets being inspired by the Holy spirit to speak and write the word of God.
Other than referring to these scriptural references, I don't have much more response for you om this subject at this time.
Did you know that there were other English translations before the KJB? Were they also corrupt? Were the KJB translators King James Onlyists? Did they think that their translation alone was the word of God. Did they think that all previous translations were corrupt? Did they think that any translation written after theirs should be automatically discarded and labeled as being corrupt? I think these are valid questions. Can you please answer these?
You also ask me how would I know the difference between a corrupt translation and one that can be trusted? First of all, I will say that I trust the KJB. But there is no way that I can tell you that the KJB is a perfect word for word (no errors) translation without taking the same materials the translators used and testing putting them to the test. After all, we are told to test all things. But since I am not the one trying to prove that the KJB is the only translation that is the pure perfect word of God, and that all others are corrupt, perhaps maybe you can take this task on? And I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but 2 Timothy 4:3-4, 1 Timothy 4:1, and Jeremiah 23:36 have nothing to do with bible translations. You are also misapplying those verses.
COMPARING PREMILLENNIAL AND AMILLENNIAL VIEW POINTS.
picking up from Psalms 89:27-37.
According to this psalm the covenant concerns David, his physical seed, and the relationship of his rule to the children of Israel. There is no indication that this kingdom extended to a spiritual entity such as the church nor that the throne in view is the throne of God in heaven rather than the throne of David on earth.
As mentioned previously; in Isaiah 9:6-7 it is stated again that the throne of David is in view:
Yhe throne of David is mentioned specifically and the promise indicates that the fulfillment will go on forever.
In Jeremiah 23:5-6 the reign of the king who is the son of David is described as coming to pass in a day when Judah and Israel shall be saved and dwell safely.
In the verses immediately following, this reign is linked with the regathering of the children of Israel and their occupation of their ancient lands. Jeremiah 23:7-8.
It is certainly extreme spiritualization to take the regathering of Israel as an equivalent of the outcalling of the church and the execution of "justice and righteousness in the land" as being a reference to the rule of Christ in heaven, as amillenarians would need to interpret the passage. This is another strong confirmation that the literal interpretation of the Davidic covenant was intended.
In Jeremiah 30:7-9 another reference is found to the reign of the seed of David and again it is in a context of Israel's future regathering which will be consummated following the great tribulation.
As in other passages, the fulfillment of the Davidic covenant is linked with the return of Israel to the land following their time of Jacob's trouble, as indicated in the preceding verses Jeremiah 30:10-12
Here it is stated that they will serve God and David their king.
Today we see Israel in their land but there's no throne and there's definitely no peace.
HERE'S HOW JEREMIAH DESCRIBES THAT DAY.
Jeremiah 23:5-8.
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.
HERE'S ZECHARIAH.
Zechariah 8
Zachariah 8:8 Says "And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in "TRUTH AND IN RIGHTEOUSNESS."
That's not what they can claim today.
HERE'S ZECHARIAH.
"Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you. Zechariah 8:23.
In "that day" the nation of Israel will be a vine that bares fruit.
a starch contrast to Ezekiel 36:20 and where they stand today.
Today as a nation Israel currently rejects there King.
However in Genesis 49:1 Jacob bless his sons and give them a prophetic msg for the last days.
I find Genesis 49:8-12 provocative.
This seems to mirror Revelation and a far future Kingdom with Christ on the throne.
Considering the description of the Covenants this earthly Kingdom hasn't happened yet.
The Davidic Covenant centers on several key promises that are made to David. First, God reaffirms the promise of the land that He made in the first two covenants with Israel (the Abrahamic and Mosaic Covenants). This promise is seen in 2 Samuel 7:10, "I will provide a place for my people Israel and will plant them so that they can have a home of their own and no longer be disturbed. Wicked people will not oppress them anymore." God then promises that David's son will succeed him as king of Israel and that this son (Solomon) would build the temple. This promise is seen in 2 Samuel 7:12-13, " I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood, and I will establish his kingdom. He is the one who will build a house for my Name."
But then the promise continues and expands: "I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever" (verse 13), and "Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me; your throne will be established forever" (verse 16). What began as a promise that David's son Solomon would be blessed and build the temple turns into something different-the promise of an everlasting kingdom. Another Son of David would rule forever and build a lasting House. This is a reference to the Messiah, Jesus Christ, called the Son of David in Matthew 21:9.
The promise that David's "house," "kingdom," and "throne" will be established forever is significant because it shows that the Messiah will come from the lineage of David and that He will establish a kingdom from which He will reign. The covenant is summarized by the words "house," promising a dynasty in the lineage of David; "kingdom," referring to a people who are governed by a king; "throne," emphasizing the authority of the king's rule; and "forever," emphasizing the eternal and unconditional nature of this promise to David and Israel.
Davidic Covenant; Jeremiah 23:5; 30:9; Isaiah 9:7; 11:1; Luke 1:32, 69; Acts 13:34; and Revelation 3:7.
Good afternoon. I read Jeremiah 23:9-40. This section of Jeremiah is addressing the deceit and wickedness of those who proclaim themselves to be prophets whom God never called to be nor sent them to Hid people. They were prophesying peace and well-being for those who acted out of the imaginations of their own hearts. They did as they pleased and the false prophets pretty much said, "That's OK. You will be blessed in your way"d
The false prophets were saying that the Lord spoke to them, but He didn't and therefore their words were lies. They would claim to have a "burden of the Lord" to speak out their visions, dreams, or prophetic words that were all false and not from God.
As for Verse 30, it seems that God considers anyone prophesying in the name of the Lord who were not told to do so by God as stealing HIs words. Perhaps they were mixing in some Scripture with their false prophesying. The priests were corrupt too. God said that He sees all that happens and what is done in secret. He saw all that the priests and the false prophets did and said and claimed about Him speaking through them. This is a serious matter to God.
Even today there are many false prophets and false dreams, visions, and prophecies going out into the church family often doing much harm and not benefiting anyone spiritually.
Hi Jema. Thank you for your question. I'm amongst those who believe, according to God's Word, that Israel have been, presently is, & will ever be a special people appointed & preserved by God, and to whom all the promises of the OT were made & will be fulfilled. The Church stands only on the merits of God reaching out to the world with the Gospel of His Christ, that we too might receive the opportunity & blessing that was given to Israel, but they spurned God's Love, resting on their heritage & misunderstanding of the Scriptures. All Israel, as all unbelieving Gentiles rejecting the offer of Salvation are doomed - those saved from Israel & the Gentiles now, are received as God's special possession, incorporated in His Church. Yet, Israel as a people will be kept & will go into that time of "Jacob's Trouble": Jeremiah 30:7 (the Great Tribulation), to the end that God's Purposes for them will be fulfilled & those who turn to the Lord, will reign with Him in His Kingdom. In other words, another opportunity will be given them & also to the Gentiles during that time of Great Tribulation to turn to Jesus. Surely Israel will respond to the Messiah now, won't they?
The Bible indicates there would be two re-gatherings of Israel (the first was in Jeremiah 29:10 after a 70 year captivity). The second, would be from every nation where they had been dispersed ( Jeremiah 30:3; Jeremiah 16:14,15, Jeremiah 23:3,7,8; Jeremiah 29:14). For the last 120 years or so, more than 3.5 million Jews have returned back to their God-given land, from all points of the globe, fulfilling God's Promises ( Isaiah 43:5-7). See Page 2.
My understanding is, the woman in Revelation 12 is Israel, Genesis 37:9. The woman brought forth a man child who was to rule all nations, this is Jesus, Rev. 2:27Rev. 19:15. Jesus will return to Israel, Zech. 14:4Isaiah 11:11-12Jeremiah 23:3-8 Ezekiel 37:21-25Rev. 14:1.
Please do not take offense, Robert Breaker is interesting but like I said before some of the things do not line up. Like the Rabbi says 10 jubilees until the Messiah comes and that is calculated to the year 2017. How can that be a sign of what Trump did by moving our embassy to Jerusalem?
My understanding of what John saw in Revelation 12, was the woman, a dragon, and a war in heaven. The woman is Israel who brought forth Jesus, Jesus ascended back to heaven and is on the right side of the Father on the throne, this was almost 2000 years ago. The dragon is Satan, and the war that Satan and his angels are cast down out of heaven to earth and no more place in heaven for them, this is in our future, this will happen when the fulness of the Gentiles become in Romans 11:25.
So, if part of Revelation 12 is in our past, the way Breaker used the images in Rev. 12 to me does not fit. I hope this makes sense and is not offensive. You may have received good information from his video that helps your study.
Dorothy You shouldn't use any Bible except a King James Bible. There may be some on this site that will disagree with that but don't listen to them. The KJB is the True Preserved Word that God promised us in ( Ps 12:6-7) v6 Tells us The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified ((seven times)). (A time in the Bible is 7 years, so it was purified 7 years? The King James Bible took 7 years to finish its translation) Also we are told in ( Proverbs 30:5-6) Every Word of God is pure. And v6 says "Add thou not unto his words" We are told in ( Jeremiah 23:36) "ye have (perverted) the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God. The word (perverted) is #2015; it means to change. ALL modern version Bibles have changed the words of the living God. If God promised to Preserve His Words forever then we have it somewhere today or that verse would be a lie, God cannot lie! How did God get that promised Word to us today in the KJB? He used holy men of God in ( 2 Pet 1:19-21) The KJB has had the same words since 1611. Others versions have changed, and then some have even revised, or changed their own words again! ( 1 Cor 14:33) Tells us God is not the author of confusion. If 10 people read the same verse from 10 different modern versions, then you ask them to memorize that verse, would there be confusion among them, or would they all speak the same thing? ( 1 Cor 1:10) says that ye all speak the same thing, and there be no divisions among you. Would them 10 people speak the same thing? would there be divisions among them? ((Think about that.)) The word (pure) is #2889; it means uncontaminated, unadulterated, sound. Gods pure Words are in the KJB. Do not trust other Bibles they will be deceptive! This was pretty long but its really important to study the True Word of God. Blessings.
Jeremiah 22 is dealing these Kings and rulers. He warned them about the way they were getting rich and not feeding the flock.
Verses 13-17 we have a Warning about Jehoiakim
"Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;
That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and it is cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion.
Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him?"
He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well with him: was not this to know me? saith the LORD.
But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.
Jeremiah 23:1-2 Picks back up on that criticism.
Jeremiah 23:3-7 tells that there is better days ahead.
In the Millennium kingdom the Lord "The Chief Shepherd" and "king of kings" will set on the throne and rule his kingdom.
I concur with Gigi you see Christ rebuttal of the rulers this in Matthew 23 and Luke 11:37-54. and you'll find more of what Christ has to say about the Kingdom in Matthew 13.
God's Word is full if warnings about the teachings and work's of man.
The only TRUE pastor of the sheep is Christ.
THE WAY is Christ.
We have to UNDERSTAND and BELIEVE what Christ's resurrection ACCOMPLISHED.
YOU DIED on the cross with Christ.
YOU were resurrected with Christ; A NEW CREATION, there was ONLY ONE BODY that was resurrected 2000 years AGO, that BODY was Christ, you SHARED that resurrection with Christ, YOU ALSO became the BODY of Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:27 .... You are the body of Christ .....
Colossians 1:27 ..... this MYSTERY (of the resurrection) .....Christ IN YOU ......
You and Christ became ONE at that resurrection, Christ is now the LIFE in YOU: your HIS BODY.
He is the SHEPHERD of YOUR BODY your body does what the shepherd wants it to do, because Christ is the LIFE in YOU.
Philippians 2:13 For it is GOD that worketh in you (the new creation) both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.
This truth has to become REAL in YOU; as this TRUTH becomes REAL TO YOU, you WILL SEE with different eyes.
Psalms 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the DEATH of his saints.
You have to BELIEVE God' s word: you DIED: only CHRIST exist, you share that by BEING HIS BODY.
Until then, you body is being lead by by whats described in Jeremiah 23:1-4
1 Timothy 6:16 Christ ONLY hath IMMORTALIY, dwelling in the light ....
1 Corinthians 15 ... this mortal (YOU) shall PUT ON IMMORALITY ..... death is swallowed up in VICTORY .....
You caught up, raptured, translated, into THE PRESENCE of GOD, to forever be the IMAGE of CHRIST, a SON OF GOD.
Hello Edward. That's a good question, but the answer to it becomes clear when we examine the Character & Names of Jesus.
What you read in Matthew 1:23 "...they shall call his name Emmanuel...", is taken from Isaiah 7:14, where God gives a prophetical word to wicked King Ahaz of Judah, "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."
Does this verse in Isaiah in conflict with Matthew 1:25, "And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS?" When we study the names or titles attributed to Jesus, such as Immanuel, we learn that there is significance in giving each of these names. For example, the prophecy in Isaiah 9:6, tells us, "unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Here is a whole list of names attributed to the coming Jesus & though they are descriptive of the Character & Work of this One from Glory, I don't believe that anyone ever used those names, even in the Greek, when speaking to Jesus.
Likewise, when the prophecy was given in Isaiah 7:14, it was about the Name that Jesus' Coming would bring, i.e. Immanuel, or in Hebrew, 'with us is God'. And of course, this ties in beautifully with Isaiah 9:6, that Jesus IS the Mighty God (i.e. He not only comes from God, but out of God's Being, wholly Divine, & in His incarnation, wholly Human).
And you could look up Jeremiah 23:5,6 & see two other Names by which Jesus is identified: the Righteous Branch & The LORD our Righteousness (in Heb. Yahweh Sid-qenu), i.e. God's Name attributed to His Son Jesus, the Christ.
So, Jesus is His Name (in Heb. Yehoshua, or Joshua): the LORD is Salvation, but He can have many Names attributed to Him, each one depicting Who He is, and Immanuel is just one Name given to Him.
I am feeling led to share a dream I had while sleeping recently. ( Jeremiah 23:28-30, )
the dream; There was a man & woman that seemed "closed off" like not wanting to get involved or be helpful, they seemed pleasant, polite. They were closing the front door of their home. Me & my 2 sons were in a vehicle, in the driveway of that man & woman. The house was on the left. I heard the LORD say in my spirit, "I AM now going to judge the greedy, rich, & corrupt." I felt a fearful Awe. Instantly the wind started blowing. My sons noticed something & told me to look. They insisted. I looked more intently. There were two trees. One seemed more like a bush, the other like a small tree. One was pulled up by the wind with roots blown left possibly at the back of house. We couldn't see damage. Then the electric poles that were in front of us & to the left were ripped up, & pulled that same direction. We knew it was going to cause a continued reaction, from the connected powerlines behind us. Before we could turn around to look back, the powerlines were dragged upon & over our vehicle, lighting it up with the electricity. Then being pulled a twisted mess of hotwires were in a powerful explosion of fire & electricity infront of us. The sun had set, it was dark outside so the intensity of the brightness was even more vivid. The dream switches to a large tornado above a large mirrored glass skyscraper & city. I was with many people outside. I loudly told everyone to pray. People furthest away on the left were beginning to be swept away before the large whirlwind was above us. Urgently I started to pray outloud for mercy. I plead that none should perish ( 2Peter 3:9, & Matthew 18:14,). The tornado broke apart in an unusual way, into many pieces & completely dispersed away. All the people within the streets nearby were safe, we were unharmed in all of those things, yet experienced the full intensity. End of dream.
Your first question; is there anywhere in the heavens or the earth that God cannot be, Psalm 139:7-10Proverbs 15:3Jeremiah 23:23-24 Hebrews 4:13Isaiah 6:3. But is the universe, the earth, and everything on the earth a manifestation of God? NO that is Pantheism and is forbidden in the Bible as idol worship, if everything is God it can be worshiped.
His dwelling place is in heaven that is above heaven (universe) and earth, beyond and outside of the physical universe, 1 Kings 8:301 Kings 8:432 Chr. 20:6Psalm 11:4Daniel 2:28Matt. 5:16Matt. 6:9. God gave His only begotten Son to die for us, John 3:16 God by the Holy Spirit can dwell in us if we accept Jesus as our savior we are cleansed by His blood, Romans 8:9-111 Cor. 3:16
God can see everything and take action anywhere, Prov. 15:3Heb. 4:13 but God is everywhere at once? He is in that he is aware of everything in the physical universe both past, present, and future, and he can turn his attention to anyone or anything at any time.
Has anyone seen God? Moses came the closest, God showed him His backside, Exodus 33:12-23. No man in the flesh can see God's face and live, John 1:18John 4:121 Tim. 6:16. We will see His face after the resurrection in our immortal and incorruptible body, Rev 22:4.
How can one Know that God exists? The Bible: He has revealed things to us, and the evidence is convincing if anyone is willing to consider the evidence. History also confirms many things that were prophesied in the Bible long before they happened. The word of God is the truth, and the Holy Spirit will reveal it to those with an open mind and open heart who honestly want the truth.
This is my understanding in love may it help, search and pray for yours.
Hello Meliah. I'm unsure whether you're asking about Jeremiah the man, or Jeremiah the prophetical book that he authored. So, I'll share on both points.
Jeremiah received the Word from God, that he was separated (set apart) from pre-birth & ordained to be God's prophet for that time in history ( Jeremiah 1:5). This was during the reign of King Josiah & his prophetical work went on till Judah's last reigning king, King Zedekiah - at which time Babylon invaded Palestine, occupied Jerusalem & captives taken back to Babylon.
The Book of Jeremiah is Jeremiah's account of God's dealings with him, Judah, their captors, and the other nations. Even though Jeremiah was reluctant to do as commanded by God, he nevertheless did not fail to bring out the prophetical message to the people. For over forty years, he faithfully proclaimed God's stern Judgement on apostate Judah, all the while Jeremiah had to endure fierce opposition, beatings & imprisonment ( Jeremiah 11:18-23; 12:6; 18:18; 20:1-3; 26:1-24; 37:11-38:28).
Even though warnings against sin & coming judgement are uppermost throughout the book, God still sent out messages of hope & future restoration. Predictions of a coming Messiah ( Jeremiah 23:5,6); the duration of the Babylonian captivity ( Jeremiah 25:11); and the revelation of the New Covenant ( Jeremiah 31:31-34) are the bright lights seen in this book.
Part 1.
"Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land"
Jeremiah 23:7-8.
God will not forsake Israel
Here's why: 36:19-28.
See Part 2.
Part one.
Jesus is now ready to face death on the cross and fulfilling the law and the prophet's, all of what Scripture had said what He would become, and Jesus was ready to take His place on the right hand of His Father, Isaiah 53:12 Jeremiah 23:5-6 2 Samuel 7:12-13 Psalm 110:4 Psalm 16:10, these are just a few verses that Jesus would have known about Himself.
See part 2.
Jeremiah 16:14-15.
Jeremiah 23:5-8.
Ezekiel 36:17-28.

That's a wonderful verse.
God sanctified his Great name in Egypt.
That reminds me of Jeremiah 23:5-8.
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and FROM ALL COUNTRIES whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.
Haven't happened yet!
God bless
Part 3.
We are dealing with two separate issues here.
One is heirs of the promises of salvation by faith. Galatians 3:1-16.
The other is a geographic Land here on Earth;
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
See Part 4.
Gigi
See Part 3.
Ephesians 3:3-4.
God bless.
I concur with Brother Chris.
God is going to give Israel a heart of flesh.
God bless.
Jimbob,
Did you know that there were other English translations before the KJB?
Blessings to you also!
Part 3.

2 Samuel 7:8-10.
Today we see Israel in their land but there's no throne and there's definitely no peace.
HERE'S HOW JEREMIAH DESCRIBES THAT DAY.
Jeremiah 23:5-8.
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
God bless.

2:27 Rev. 19:15. Jesus will return to Israel, Zech. 14:4 Isaiah 11:11-12 Jeremiah 23:3-8 Ezekiel 37:21-25 Rev.
God bless,
RLW
OOPS I sent that off by mistake.
I wasn't done.
Jeremiah 22 is dealing these Kings and rulers. He warned them about the way they were getting rich and not feeding the flock.
Verses 13-17 we have a Warning about Jehoiakim
"Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;
That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and it is cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion.
God bless
God Bless YOU!
Yehoshua, or Joshua): the LORD is Salvation, but He can have many Names attributed to Him, each one depicting Who He is, and Immanuel is just one Name given to Him.
the dream; There was a man & woman that seemed "closed off" like not wanting to get involved or be helpful, they seemed pleasant, polite.
I will give my understanding,
Your first question; is there anywhere in the heavens or the earth that God cannot be, Psalm 139:7-10 Proverbs 15:3 Jeremiah 23:23-24 Hebrews 4:13 Isaiah 6:3. But is the universe, the earth, and everything on the earth a manifestation of God? NO that is Pantheism and is forbidden in the Bible as idol worship, if everything is God it can be worshiped.
His dwelling place is in heaven that is above heaven (universe) and earth, beyond and outside of the physical universe, 1 Kings 8:30 1 Kings 8:43 2 Chr. 20:6 Psalm 11:4 Daniel 2:28 Matt. 5:16 Matt. 6:9. God gave His only begotten Son to die for us, John 3:16 God by the Holy Spirit can dwell in us if we accept Jesus as our savior we are cleansed by His blood, Romans 8:9-11 1 Cor. 3:16
God can see everything and take action anywhere, Prov. 15:3 Heb. 4:13 but God is everywhere at once? He is in that he is aware of everything in the physical universe both past, present, and future, and he can turn his attention to anyone or anything at any time.
Has anyone seen God? Moses came the closest, God showed him His backside, Exodus 33:12-23. No man in the flesh can see God's face and live, John 1:18 John 4:12 1 Tim.
God bless,
RLW
