Thanks for being so honest about your prayer request. I understand your struggle. God knows your heart and so honesty like this is the right step. Jeremiah 29:
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
14 And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.
The act of intercession; therefore is something crucial to communication throughout scripture that indeed gives us some insight of Hebrews 7:25 (He ever lives to intercede for us). Daniel also repeated this theme in Daniel 9:8-10. God's promise here was the prophetic insight given in Jeremiah 29:10. God stated this would happen; so it appears to be a done deal. There was no promise how many would do this; as is evident from the small group that initially rebuilt the wall; and the disobedience of many was seen with marriages to foreign wives. No doubt worldliness had affected the hearts of those who should have remembered the prosperity God gave them in Babylon and His promises to return after that time. It is a wonder that confession of the sins of church congregations isn't given much attention as compared to particulary egregious ones of individuals as it still affects the overall witness as we see from exhortations written for the churches in Revelation 2 and 3; for example.
Look at God's faithfulness to Israel as stated in Jeremiah 31:36 where the courses of nature would have to change with the sun and moon for God to abandon His covenant promises. In fact the only covenant changed is that related to the method of worship with the law and sacrifices which was of course replaced by the perfect sacrifice under Christ which abolished therefore the old ordinances. (see Hebrews 9-10). The object of worship was therefore Christ; God had stated in Isaiah 1:11; see also Psalm 69:31.
In understanding the New Covenant we should perceive that it is still the same God with the same characteristics today that existed in the Old Testament from eternity. We would on the surface expect that to be a "no brainer"; but how often do we see the fear of God demonstrated as in Acts 5:1-11 with Ananias and Sapphira? Our commitments to God should not be of fools ( Ecclesiastes 5:4). See Matthew 5:33-35 for ungodly vows.
Amen, GiGi. I'd like to add a scripture: Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil , to give you an expected end." Like His power declares, His is Omniscience. How can we fret if He is always thinking peaceful thoughts of us? God Bless :)
Daniel 9:18-20 show how Daniel asked the Lord to remember the state of Jerusalem being in desolation and His promises (as seen in the book of Jeremiah) of reoccupation and return of the Jews after 70 years of exile (see Jeremiah 29:10). The sins of the people in question were something Daniel took on as a burden to himself in his prayers; fasting and supplications.
In terms of blessings of a general sort there is that of those who find a wife ( Prov. 18:22). There is also the offspring; or fruit of the womb that is specifically stated to be a blessing ( Deut. 7:13; and several passages in Psalms). Deuteronomy lists blessings for those who obey God's statutes and cursings for those who don't in extensive passages in Deuteronomy 28. As we look at God's chosen people in Exodus; clearly the Lord showed favor in physically delivering the Jews from Egypt; but as Romans 9:6 states not everyone benefitted from it. In fact only Joshua and Caleb survived from the first generation; even Moses was unable to enter the land but saw it from afar due to an isolated sin on his part ( Deut. 3:23 and following verses).
What we can count on in our sanctification and ultimate glorification ( Romans 8:30). All the prophetic scriptures will be fulfilled to the letter. This includes Israel being restored; the earth being renewed; Christ ruling in the Millennium; wars ending throughout the world; extended lifespans; etc.
The blessings of financial matters is promised for those who are living by faith (we see the example of Abraham in Genesis 13:2 as the first demonstration of this in scripture although technically the text of Job may be older as an example of God's financial blessings (see Job 1:16 and subsequent verses). Satan was well aware of God's provisions and favor and therefore we can be certain that he will attempt to thwart OR substitute God's blessings with his own which end up being dead ends and illusions.
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
The Lord might want you to retrain for an alternate career in a completely different field. I will pray for you and that the Lord reveals his plans for you.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost
Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart. To well do I recall this same despair. I was raised in legalism, much like the Mosaic law Peter speaks of in Acts 15. This form is not large enough that I am able to share how God has carried me even though I neglected Him.The problem with this world is in fact the deception of Satan. He is a higher being than we, if it were not for the fact that the Living God tabernacles inside of me, I would have been devoured by the enemy. When I was a child, often I'd hear how the enemy sat on the front pew in church. I now realize the enemy has graduated himself to the pulpit. he has done this by teaching a different Jesus, manipulating the true word of God and many avenues to deceive humanity. The Lord precisely tells us not to make graven images, to worship Him only. My friend, it sounds like you have not been introduced to the true Saviour Jesus Christ. It is not by works, confessing to man our sin or any other means that we are redeemed. Jesus Christ is the only Way. As certain as I type this small message, I am witness to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Realize, He is a HOLY GOD and no flesh shall boast in His presence. Jesus Christ took on flesh in order to atone for the curse upon all humanity. There is no good in any human being, no matter our works, we can not be saved by anyone or anything but through belief that Jesus Christ poured out His life, set the captives free, (no such thing as purgatory), rose bodily from death (being the first fruits), preached among us, ascended to the Father and sent the Holy Ghost, whereby we are sealed unto that day. One has to realize their sin and one day they will face a Holy God. Will God see a person innocent without having true repentance of their sins and giving themselves completely to Christ? No, He will not. There is absolutely no reason we have to suffer eternal torment. Realize sin, truly repent, accept Jesus Christ.I pray 4U
Hi Jema. Thank you for your question. I'm amongst those who believe, according to God's Word, that Israel have been, presently is, & will ever be a special people appointed & preserved by God, and to whom all the promises of the OT were made & will be fulfilled. The Church stands only on the merits of God reaching out to the world with the Gospel of His Christ, that we too might receive the opportunity & blessing that was given to Israel, but they spurned God's Love, resting on their heritage & misunderstanding of the Scriptures. All Israel, as all unbelieving Gentiles rejecting the offer of Salvation are doomed - those saved from Israel & the Gentiles now, are received as God's special possession, incorporated in His Church. Yet, Israel as a people will be kept & will go into that time of "Jacob's Trouble": Jeremiah 30:7 (the Great Tribulation), to the end that God's Purposes for them will be fulfilled & those who turn to the Lord, will reign with Him in His Kingdom. In other words, another opportunity will be given them & also to the Gentiles during that time of Great Tribulation to turn to Jesus. Surely Israel will respond to the Messiah now, won't they?
The Bible indicates there would be two re-gatherings of Israel (the first was in Jeremiah 29:10 after a 70 year captivity). The second, would be from every nation where they had been dispersed ( Jeremiah 30:3; Jeremiah 16:14,15, Jeremiah 23:3,7,8; Jeremiah 29:14). For the last 120 years or so, more than 3.5 million Jews have returned back to their God-given land, from all points of the globe, fulfilling God's Promises ( Isaiah 43:5-7). See Page 2.
If we live in the Spirit we cease to gratify the desires of the flesh. ( Galatians 5:16). We need to realize several things in regard to that subject. First of all the flesh signifies all those things which natural man desires in a self centered manner. God created all things for our enjoyment ( 1 Tim. 6:17); and this includes eating and drinking which Christ Himself did when on earth (but always took the necessary time for fasting and prayer). God created marriage as a covenant between a man and woman when we follow His plan; all other ways of fulfilling such desires are perversions in regard to fulfilling natural desires our own way and leaving God out of the picture.
What is necessary is to understand that if we seek His Kingdom first then He shall grant us the desires of our heart. ( Matt. 6:33). When we are reborn into Christ then His desires become our desires; although we see through a glass darkly ( 1 Cor. 13:12). All good things come from the father of lights; God above ( James 1:5). We should be growing in our walk in maturity and wisdom understanding the value of trusting in God; obeying His will and giving time for prayer; Bible study and fellowship.
He certainly doesn't need our help in our worldly accomplishments with the plans He has for us; although we should certainly avail ourselves to utilize all the natural gifts as well as spiritual ones He has given us for His glory. He does have plans for us to prosper ( Jeremiah 29:11). These involve ultimately spiritual treasure in heaven ( Matt. 6:20); but certainly it applies to our faithfulness with earthly wealth as well ( Luke 16:11). We should seek to be able to do all things to build up His Kingdom and minister to the Body of Christ whether with finances or service.
We should learn to recognize the tug of the Spirit in our interactions whether with the saints or others that may indeed be destined to be His children. Psalm 119:105 shows He illuminates our paths.
I believe and trust the process of God's timing on everything in this lifetime. I expect God to honor his word. I ask God to bless me with a miraculous financial overflow to pay off all my debts and to pay my tithes off this overflow and give back to my charities

Chris gave a good answer, I'd like to add to the discussion. Please note the verse right before, Jeremiah 29:11, Jeremiah 29:10, sometimes we want GOD to change our situations "right now", sometimes HE does, but I believe this promise, is for GOD's people when we need the encouragement for the troubled times & endurance in longer seasons. Notice in Daniel, he & his companions had went through many difficult moments but GOD in miraculous ways delivered them, protected them & even encouraged them. I believe it was after Daniel was thrown in the lions den that he fasted & humbly prayed about the promise made in Jeremiah 29:10,11, Daniel 9:1,2,3, still waiting on that promise of 70 years,
note Daniel 6:1,2,3, (for why I place the timing, seemingly after lions den) the noted scriptures referring to about Daniel's encouragement, & companions, some say "the greater the trial the greater the miraculous": Daniel 1:8,9,17, Daniel 2:12,13,17,23Daniel 3:12-27, Daniel 4:19,24,25, Daniel 5, Daniel 6:7,10,16,22,28, Daniel 9:23, Daniel 10:11,12,18, Daniel 11:1,
Luke 10:19, there are moments that are painful but when we look at Salvation, the pruning, witness to strengthen the Body of Believers, then we realize it didn't "hurt us".
I hope these scriptures give you strength & hope= 1Peter 4:12,13, 2Corinthians 1:3-7, John 15:1-2, 1Corinthians 4:5, 2Corinthians 3:2, Zechariah 13:9, Malachi 3:3, 2Timothy 2:10, Psalms 30:5,
Endure even undue trials= 2Timothy 2:3, 2Timothy 4:5, remember Timothy was with Paul in ministry during persecution. 1Peter 2:19, Mark 13:13, James 5:10,11,
That's a good question Dgjot, as sometimes we can misapply Scriptures when they speak to people in various cultures, times & situations. To answer your question, I believe that Jeremiah 29:11 does apply to the one in Christ as well.
My reasoning on this is: whenever God the Father or His Son speak to 'people' through His Word, I always ask, 'who are They speaking to, what is the matter about, and what is the relevance to any other people or ourselves?'
Briefly, when matters relate specifically to Israel (e.g. the Law, the Sacrifices, to go & conquer lands or enemies, prophecies concerning them/judgements/punishments, etc.), then I read those verses as given to them, but for my knowledge & learning about the Person of the Godhead. But if verses are directed to Israel (such as the one you quoted), do we see the Character of God & His expressions of love, concern, guidance, & help to both Israel (the elect of God) & in the believer in Christ (having the faith needed to be God's elect: Titus 1:1)?
Israel, having received that special love of God & His intervention in their lives in so many ways, ought to have been shining beacons to the uncivilized idolatrous world, but they chose to spurn God's Love & to reject His Christ, thereby losing their position before God. Why? Because the righteousness in the Law was not sought by faith ( Romans 9:30-32). Had they believed God & sought Him out in real love & faith, the Truth of Jeremiah 29:11-14 would have been their ongoing experience. But as Israel was cut out of the olive tree ( Romans 11), that we who have come to God IN FAITH might be engrafted into it, the promise in Jeremiah & all the promises in the Bible as pertaining to God's people (Jew & Gentile) in whom He delights, must also be applicable to us.
So, you can take much comfort in that verse & all verses that give you God's Promises: His Seal is within you, His Love is upon you & His Arms surround you and nothing can separate you from that love.
Lord Jesus please fight our battles, please protect and guide us. I ask this for them, us and all in need. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray Lord Jesus. Amen.
I am aware of Romans 9 passage. Can you give me any more passages that speaks of God hating humans.
I know that He hates the wickedness in us and those who are rebellious to Him are not favored by Him. But I do not know if that means He hates these people in ways we hate. I think it says that it is because of His loving kindness that He does not destroy humans because of their sinfulness. I am not saying that God does not hate. But His aim is to redeem as many as will come to Him when the Spirit draws them with the Gospel. So I cannot seem to get that He would hate what He wishes to redeem.
I know that Romans 9 speaks of some creatures who are targets of His mercy and others who are vessels of His wrath. I am not sure if He is referring only to humans here or if He is referring to humans as objects of mercy and the fallen angels as the vessels of His wrath since the Lake of Fire was prepared before they were even created as the place for them to receive His wrath forever.
Heavenly Father, Gracious Lord, we come today in Jesus' name asking You to restore to Frederick, myself, my sons, and other's loved by believers all that has been stolen, devoured, or destroyed by the evil one. We know that you can make all things new, bring back from the dead that which is destroyed, recover what is lost, replace blessing for what is meant to harm us, repair all that is broken, uplift all who are downtrodden, redeem all who are astray, and work all things for good for those who love You. So, knowing these things are true, we ask that You indeed hear our prayers and take back from the enemy all that he has done to us and undo all the harm he has brought upon us. We are so thankful for your loving care and faithfulness, LORD GOD. Amen.

Please consider reflecting on these Bible scriptures: Psalms 37, Psalms 91, Jeremiah 29:11-13, Ezekiel 36:26-27, Isaiah 43:2, I Corinthians 10: 13-14.
1. Regarding John 10:36 "neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand" if you look at the context Jesus is talking only about his sheep. The sheep are His followers, or, Christians. Not everyone is a sheep. They are choosing to follow Jesus and choosing to believe and choosing be sheep by their own freewill and decisions. We know this because of what it says just prior to that. John 10:25-27. In v26 he says they are NOT His sheep because they don't believe. So, if we combine this verse with Matthew 7:13-14 one can presume that most are NOT sheep. Many most are wolves and some are wolves in sheep's clothing. Matthew 7:15.
2. Jeremiah 29:11 "I know the thoughts" or "plans" and hope for a "future" some translations say. Just because an all-knowing God can know this doesn't automatically mean its robbing you of freewill. You are not an automatic robot following a specific script. God is big and powerful enough to know everything and also let us have freewill at the same time, even if little human brains have a hard time comprehending it. God is much bigger than our assumed limitations. God is also big enough to change His mind, as happened relating to Sodom and Gomorrah.
Maybe God's plan is just a broad overview of what would be best for you, maybe like a map, but its up to you whether you follow it or not. Maybe you take a few detours along the way, maybe you get confused and even go the wrong way at times. This doesn't automatically mean you are following God's plan. Maybe you're not following Him at all. I think if you ask most people who believe in predestination, they generally admit that when they ordered a chicken sandwich for lunch and held the pickles that it was mostly their choice and not necessarily God's plan. Or when a Christian sins 1 John 1:8, I don't think most people actually believe that God causes people to sin. God forbids us to tempt or lead others to stumble in sin: Luke 17:1-4.
Jeremiah 29:
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

I believe it was after Daniel was thrown in the lions den that he fasted & humbly prayed about the promise made in Jeremiah 29:10,11, Daniel 9:1,2,3, still waiting on that promise of 70 years,
note Daniel 6:1,2,3, (for why I place the timing, seemingly after lions den) the noted scriptures referring to about Daniel's encouragement, & companions, some say "the greater the trial the greater the miraculous": Daniel 1:8,9,17, Daniel 2:12,13,17,23 Daniel 3:12-27, Daniel 4:19,24,25, Daniel 5, Daniel 6:7,10,16,22,28, Daniel 9:23, Daniel 10:11,12,18, Daniel 11:1,
Luke 10:19, there are moments that are painful but when we look at Salvation, the pruning, witness to strengthen the Body of Believers, then we realize it didn't "hurt us".
I hope these scriptures give you strength & hope= 1Peter 4:12,13, 2Corinthians 1:3-7, John 15:1-2, 1Corinthians 4:5, 2Corinthians 3:2, Zechariah 13:9, Malachi 3:3, 2Timothy 2:10, Psalms 30:5,
In correction= Isaiah 48:10,11, Malachi 3:2, Proverbs 3:11-35, Hebrews 12:7, 2Thessalonians 1:4,
Endure even undue trials= 2Timothy 2:3, 2Timothy 4:5, remember Timothy was with Paul in ministry during persecution. 1Peter 2:19, Mark 13:13, James 5:10,11,
James 5:13-18, 2Chronicles 7:14,
Hopefully these are helpful & encouraging
Does this just apply to the "Jews" or to any "believer"??
I always found comfort in this verse, but maybe it doesn't apply to me. :(
Haven't heard from You for a while.
According to Scripture, God does not love everyone, which is difficult for me to grasp. I refer you to Romans 9:13. Sorry, but these are God's words.
God bless.
