Ps.110:3 Alpha and the Omega (1 of 2)

"Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth."

From the term, 'the womb of the morning' we have three concepts,- the day, holiness as well as the dew and these must be fixed as the basis for the beginning and the ending. Simply put the Alpha Omega aspect of Jesus Christ gives the morning star, the light of which sheds on all three, consequently shades of meaning must be understood to define in human speech the holiness of God .

"Be ye holy for I am holy" leads to a holy nation. " But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;"(1 Pe.2:9)

Without holiness no one shall see God speaks of the light with which it can be seen and understood. ("For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light."Ps.36:9 Jesus Christ as the true light.

Moses gives us a meaning for the dew. Dew speaks for the words of Jesus Christ in particular, referring to the word of his grace. "And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions."(Matt.22:46) In the Book of Job we have this verse, "After my words they spake not again; and my speech dropped upon them." ( Job 29:22)

This dew ties up with the everlasting covenant. "My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass"(De.32:2).

In the covenant we read thus. "And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good." (Ge.1:11-12)" And the next verse is what leads us to the morning star. "And the evening and the morning were the third day."(v.13)

    Again

Here's a correction on Job 27:1 and Job 29:1 that you misquoted.

It doesn't read as you stated.

    Your text for both verses;

( Moreover "God" continued his parable,...

    Here's what's written;

Job 27:1 "Moreover "Job" continued his parable, and said,...

Jon 29:1 "Moreover "Job" continued his parable, and said...

You're fashioning scripture to say what you want it to say to hinder the truth.

I totally AGREE with Brother S Spencer.

It's is God speaking and NOT Job.

    I will rephrase:

Job 27:1 Moreover God continued HIS parable .....

Job 29:1 Moreover God continued HIS parable ....

    God Bless YOU!

    Goodmorning Lee the follower.

If you would allow me once again to intervene.

The book of Job is written mostly in poetic form.

Job 27:1 and Job 29:1 Job is speaking and it has nothing to do with the topic of the clouds or bottles.

Job 38 it is the Lord speaking, Not Job.

Job 38:1-3 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me...

Lee, test what you gather from others with the written scriptures and continue on with a reading program.

Also a concordance and a bible dictionary is a great help.

    And pray always.

Here is where I pull out of this discussion

    God bless you.

Don't believe a word I say without looking to the scriptures and asking Christ to teach you.

Going to concordances for definitions of words will actually hinder you, because most of God's truth is hidden in parables and symbols, and have nothing to do with the defined definition of the word, truth is hidden within the symbol of that word.

Job is a parable, containing prophecies of Christ.

Job 27:1 More over Job CONTINUED his parable....

Job 29:1 Moreover Job CONTINUED his parable .....

    God BLESS YOU!

    Jud.8:28-35 (1 of 2)

    "The Seventy"

God's calling and his gifts are irrevocable.(Ro.11:29). Gideon's sword became an extension of that God. The word of God by faith serves every believer so hero of faith is tested by trials one undergoes as His instrument. It serves to untangle the mental confusion as Job testified,"After I had spoken, they spoke no more; my words fell gently on their ears( Job 29:22-NIV)". It is not without reason the Spirit speaks of the word of God as a two edged sword. It helps your hearer as in the case of Job and also refreshes as it is digested so one uses it to profit and for own edification. "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.(He.4:12). The word of God is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.. It saves as well as cuts.

Forty years of rest that the land enjoyed speaks of the foreknowledge of the glory of his Word. The number 4 speaks for the word of God. When Gideon feared for his life because he saw the Lord face to face how did He answer him? " And theLordsaid unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die.(6:.22-23). This revelation prompted him worthy of a hero to follow his faith with appropriate works. "Then Gideon built an altar there unto theLord, and called it Jehovah-shalom(6:24).' He was called by God and it was up to him to continue with faith as before so he made his election sure. Forty years of peace is given a concrete imagery in the name Jehovah-shalom or God our peace.

In this context what does the ephod Gideon set up at Ophrah signify? It set up a precedent for Jeroboam to set up two golden calves. "And he set the one in Bethel, and the other put he in Dan./And this thing became a sin: for the people went to worship before the one, even unto Dan(1 Ki.12:29-30)".

Job 29 is a powerful chapter.

The laws regarding tzedakah, Giving, are God's secret, reinforcing all the other scriptures regarding The Laws of Giving. Luke 6:38 reaffirms.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

This principle is primarily used in context for tithes, but it is much larger, as Luke, Jesus, Job & multiplicities of scriptures affirm, reaffirm, repetitiously, as to make the point on wooden heads.

Job outlines tzedakah more in this one chapter than any other in the Bible. Justice and righteousness are inseparable. The Hebrew root tzedak. Can't have one without the other. The heart reveals where we are at in our relationship with God. It is a blessing to give. We'll not be taking anything material with us to the other side.

The poor widow gave ALL she had. That is so powerful. Juxtapose the priests' tithe, mint, an invasive weed. As a tzedakah gardener, I have to laugh at the priests' tithe, lol. One could do two individual, whole sermons, one on the widow, another on the priests' gift, lol. Funny, yet no so funny.

It is a travesty of justice and righteousness that some Christian theologians hides this abundance from the masses, effectively stealing our birthright to G-d's abundance.

The Laws of Giving are the same as all of G-d's universal laws, set into motion at the Creation. The more one gives away, think not strictly in terms of $$-there are multiplicities of facets of Giving, the more one's cup is shaken, then pressed down, then overflowing. God's blessings cannot be constrained! It's a dynamic of His Laws regarding the Laws of Giving.

Caution: give with a pure heart however, seeking only to bless another, without accolades, acknowledgement, preferably anonymously, if possible. This keeps ego in check.

    Jimbob:

I agree Matthew 24 is PROPHECY, but it's meaning is HIDDEN in a PARABLE

    Psalms is also a PROPHECY.

Psalms 49:4 I (the spirit of Christ wrote Psalms) will open my mouth in a parable .....

Psalms 78:2 I will open my mouth in a parable ....

The whole bible is written by the SPIRIT OF CHRIST, the whole bible is a parable, the meaning is HIDDEN from the physical eyes.

Job is a PROPHECY, but it's meaning is hidden in a Parable, the physical eye can't see the truth of the parable.

Job 27:1 Moreover Job CONTINUED his PARABLE ...

Job 29:1 Moreover Job continued his PARABLE ...

If Job is continuing his parable, it has been a parable from the beginning.

Ezekiel is a Prophecy, but hidden in a parable.

Ezekiel 17:2 Son of Man, put forth a riddle, and speak a PARABLE to the house of Israel of Israel.

Ezekiel 24:3 Utter a PARABLE unto the rebellious house .....

Ezekiel, through the spirit of Christ, is PROPHESYING that the words of God are a PARABLE, and can't be understood without the spirit of Christ revealing it to you.

Micah 2:4 In that day (the day he is speaking the words of Matthew 24) ONE (CHRIST) shall take up a parable against you ....

Matthew 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables, and without a parable spake he not to them.

You know ALL of God's words a Parable, because his word says so.

Mark 4:34 But with a parable spake he not to them, (the disciples never understood a word he was saying) and when they were alone, he expounded all things to them.

You have to be alone also, and the spirit of Christ will expound all things to you.

Revelation 19:10 ...for the testimony (words) of Jesus is the SPIRIT OF PROPHECY.

You need to rethink the abomination of desolation, the rapture, and a single anti-christ.

God Bless YOU as HE reveals his words to you.

Here are a few scriptures that really rattled me: Psalms 10:10, in context: Psalms 10, whole chapter.

    * Leviticus 19:15, Amos 2:6-7, Amos 5:12, Amos 8:4, Habakkuk 3:14,

Scriptures about the poor: Exodus 22:25, Exodus 23:1-11, Leviticus 19:10, Leviticus 23:22, Deuteronomy 24:14,15,

    Job 29:11-17, Job 30:25, Job 31:13-40, Job 34:19-28,

    Leviticus 25:25-55, Deuteronomy 15:1-15,

    1Samuel 2:7-8, Job 24, Matthew 19:21,

    Psalms 9:18, Psalms 12:5, Psalms 14:6,

Galatians 2:10, Zechariah 7:10, Luke 14:12-14, may want to keep reading Luke 14,

    Matthew 5:3, Luke 6:20,

    Hopefully these are helpful

    Debra Kay:

The book of Job is BOTH a PARABLE and a PROPHECY about and of Jesus Christ, as is Psalms.

Job 27:1 Moreover Job continued his PARABLE, and said

Job 29:1 Moreover Job continued his PARABLE, and said

Job 13:27 .....thou settest a print upon the heels of my feet

I guess the answer to you question: how long did Job suffer.

Jesus suffered three and a half years, his ministry in the flesh.

    God Bless YOU!

Tom, The word of God is a parable. The Spirit of Christ wrote the Bible.

Revelation 19:10 .... for the testimony (the words) of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Matthew 13:34 All these things spake Jesus to the multitudes in parables, and without a parable spake he not into them.

Numbers 23:7 And he took up this PARABLE ....

Numbers 23:18 And he took up this PARABLE .....

Numbers 24:20-21 ...and he took up his parable ....

Job 27:1 Moreover Job continued his parable ...

Job 29: Moreover Job continued his parable ...

Psalms 78:2 I will open my mouth in a parable ....

    Ezekiel 17:2 ... and speak a parable ...

    Ezekiel 24:3 ..... utter a parable .....

    Micah 2:4 ..... take up a parable .....

Habakkuk 2:6 Shall not all take up a parable against him .....

Know this is what happens when you don't BELIEVE GOD when he says he speaks in parables.

Proverbs 26:7 The legs of the lame are not equal, SO IS A PARABLE IN THE MOUTH OF FOOLS.

Heaven is a parable of the place GOD LIVES.

Colossians 1:27 ...this mystery .....CHRIST IN YOU .....GOD LIVES IN MAN

The angle of the Lord is a ministering Spirit (the Holy Ghost) the angle of the Lord is GOD, therefore that ministering Spirit (the Holy Ghost) is planting his SEED (inpregenating) man with TRUTH AND LIFE; creating man in the IMAGE OF GOD.

YES, ANGLES (MEN, that has left this body of flesh, and BECOME ministering spirits being BORN AGAIN (FATHER by the HOLY GHOST) and ONE WITH CHRIST are inpregenating creation with the SEED OF GOD.

    God Bless You!

    Amen, Marke!

You will appreciate the book of Job even more when you understand it is a parable about the sufferings of Christ. Look at it closely and you will see much of it parallels the Psalms.

Hebrews 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet he learned obedience by the things which he suffered.

Job 27:1 Moreover Job continued his parable, saying ....

Job 29:1 Moreover, Job continued his parable, and said ....

Ezekiel 20:49 Then said I (the spirit of Christ), Ah Lord God (the Father), they (the scriptures) say of me (Christ), Doth he (Christ) not speak parables.

Matthew 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable he spake not to them.

The whole Bible is the words of Christ, therefore the Bible itself is a parable (HIDDEN TRUTHS).

Shirley, Job 29:1 ....continued his parable.....this chapter and some preceding and some following this chapter are prophesies about Christ, much like Psalms 22. Study it in this light and it will make more sense to you. The pronoun I, is Christ speaking, not Job. Remember it's a parable.

The answer to the question in not Job 29:8 I talks about the young men saw me and hid their themselves. The aged men arose, and stood up.

How does this verse relate to Job's wealth? I don't get this as the answer>

Should we believe God created Adam and Eve not knowing what was going to happen? Many say it was free will they had a choice. If that, do we imply God is not in control. The first Adam was a figure of him that was to come. ( Romans 5:14) A shadow indeed! There are two Adams in the Bible The first Adam was made a living soul (being) the last Adam a quickening spirit. ( 1 Corinthians 15:44-49)

"The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven". Here we have Jesus as the second man, we know He was not the second man on earth. 1John.3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Was the first Adams purpose to start humankind or the start of the plan that Jesus, the last Adam finished that Satan could not see. There is very little in the Bible about when Satan rebelled but we know by the book of Job the angels were before this world was created. ( Job 29:3-7)

I am sure some will disagree but I believe God placed the first Adam to do His will and it was part of God's plan that was before this world was. ( 1 Peter 1:19-20) All humans today are descendants of Adam due to the flood, the eight people on the ark came from Adam.

I am given an understanding in this reading of Job that I have not received before. Job is the picture of Jesus Christ as The God-Man and the agony within himself of becoming 'a curse' in taking on our sins, having never known sin. Power, riches, wisdom, strength and honor, glory and blessing to Christ!

Verse 12: Job reflected on his past dealings and the good things that he had done for others. It is good for us to reflect on our past good deeds when we are feeling down.

Job 29 can taken like this: A real man is a righteous father figure, gives witness and helps the poor and the fatherless. This is what Job was.
  • Mark on Job 29 - 7 years ago
Job outlines how we learn to have Christ walk us through our "every days" with Grace. Wisdom and comfort to others always outweighs possessions and riches. Once we make that a staple in lives, we will truly be able to be "pillars" and have Christ's love that we can transcend to others.

Be the true messenger. In essence: " Remember that you do your good deeds, when no one is watching."

Hmm Job.simply recounted and gave us a divine secret that encapsulated all his fortune, honour, anointing and peace. Job was a giver. Read all that he did and see how God blessed him. He called those acts the secrets of God. How many of us have such secret and uphold them? He had honour, Gid shielded him and his days were multiplied. What secrets! Let us all plug in and watch God decorate us too.

Our self-righteousness is likened to filthy rags Isaiah 64:6 . We can 't do anything of our own, on our own, which is good. All good things comes from Jehovah. Here, Job gives himself the credit for doing all he has done, bragging and boasting . The left hand must not know what the right hand has done, given, helped, etc. All glory must be given to God, because when we start boasting of our deeds, that 's when we develop a vain-glory personality and sooner or later, we will want all the glory. ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God, so say Scripture.
  • Rogers on Job 29 - 9 years ago
If Job chapter 29 is to be read alone, it shows how a righteous man is trully blessed in the hand of the Lord. Job was reounting the past good days which apparently were later restored to him. His current position teaches us that it is NOT by deed but by faith that we obtain the GRACE of righeousness. So what is most important is FAITH

Nataleigh - another commentary explains it like this: The Sun of Righteousness is Jesus Christ and it is in reference to the millenial reign of Christ after the anti-christ has been done away with. In Jeremiah he references Jesus as our Righteousness and in other passages Jesus is referred to as our sunrise.

God’s desire has always been to provide righteousness to those who trust Him (e.g., Genesis 15:6). On some occasions, God’s people were said to be “clothed in righteousness” ( Job 29:14; Psalm 132:9; Isaiah 61:10), and here in Malachi 4:2 God’s people will see the Sun of Righteousness Himself rising over the world. It’s a picture of the future millennial reign of Jesus Christ. The darkness of the Antichrist’s reign will vanish, and the light of God will take its place. It’s a new day dawning; God’s people will revel in their freedom like gamboling calves leaping from their stalls ( Isaiah 65:17-25; Hosea 14:4-7; Amos 9:13-15; Zephaniah 3:19-20).

I hope this helps some. Good question though as it invokes one to research the phrase and hence we all learn from it.

It is so hard and painful and baffling when we are so on fire for God and walking closely. Trying to do everything right in God's sight to then suddenly be plunged into darkness. I agree with Matthew's comment. When such things happen we should check ourselves for any sin to be sure. In jobs case..He didn't sin.

Jeff. "planted by the rivers of water" mean: When you plant a tree your 1st expectation is to watch it grow and bear leaves, right. But if you do not water it, it will not grow. For us that would mean:If Christians do not bear fruit in their season the tree (which is us) will wither away and cause the tree to die (our interman the Holy Spirit). If you are not walking in your purpose and using what God gave you, then you become just like a tree without it's fruit. You should be excerising your right as a Christian and walking in your calling by helping others and spreading the Gospel and let people know what God has done for you and what he has brought you through. Sometimes Christians are fearful of what the Lord wants us to do but we cannot approach our calling in "FEAR". If you are struggling in this area or maybe you know someone that is study these Bible verses; Isiah 61:3/ Proverbs 11:28/ Psalms 92:12/ Jeremiah 14:1/ Ezekiel 47:12/ Jeremiah 39:18 and Job 29:19.
