Romans 12:2 says it this way: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Even though we generally understand this verse warning the believer not to behave as the unsaved world does & adopt a new way of thinking, it also has implications to the believer not to conform to the world that sets its hope on the finite & material aspects of it, rather than putting faith in the God Who knows & does all things well.
The believer does at times suffer disappointments, but ought to immediately look heavenward & commit himself & those matters to the Lord Who will bring it to pass in His Time, & generally in a manner above what we could have expected or planned for.
Some other Scriptures to reflect upon: Philippians 4:6,7; Romans 8:28; Jeremiah 29:11; Psalm 73:23-26; Psalm 121:1-8; Psalm 42:11; Matthew 6:33; Proverbs 3:5,6; 1 Peter 5:6,7; John 14:27; Hebrews 13:5. And many more, to show us there is comfort & help as we wait upon the Lord with our concerns & disappointments in this life.
As the Apostle Paul believed & is indeed the case, we are a type of trinity, without any one aspect of our make-up, we cease to be the creation that God made. The 'body' part is easy: we see it & most people give very little thought to any other aspect of our being. Yet, God has given it to us so that the 'real' parts of us can be 'housed' & that both the visible & invisible parts of us are accountable to God, unlike some who believe that we can do whatever we like with & through our bodies.
Genesis 2:7: "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
Even though the word 'soul' can be used almost interchangeably with 'spirit', I think we should understand it as "the life of a person". And in that 'life' we also have our faculties, emotions, reasoning powers, etc.
However, I see that the 'spirit' given to man is quite different. Proverbs 20:27, "The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly (heart)." God gives both man & animals a spirit. In man, God can minister or speak to us. So one might be 'spiritually alive' which means, being receptive to God/to spiritual things, ( 1 Corinthians 2:9-11). Or one is 'spiritually dead', having no spiritual discernment or is so hindered by Satan, that he no longer is moved by God. Of what sort the spirit in animals is, I don't know, except for what Ecclesiastes 3:21 tells us.
But when we die, our spirits return to the Lord ( Ecclesiastes 12:7): we are not only accountable to God for our lives, but also we are indestructible, or the body can be destroyed but the spirit lives on, whether with God or with Satan.
. Unto him that has loved us and has washed US from our sins in his own blood . If i be lifted up I will DRAW ALL MEN UNTO ME. OK LEMME GO GBU
1st Epistle of Peter is written and starts out stating "to the strangers scattered" throughout... Why?
This is not our world. Jesus states in the Gospel of John 14:3 that He has gone to prepare a place for us and is coming back to receive us to Himself. Again, this is not our home.
In His great agony & distress, such an estrangement would have been almost unbearable, even comparable to the responsibility He carried by having all our sin & guilt placed upon Him. At a time when comfort, any comfort, would have given some small relief, the Father remained quiet, not allowing anything to hamper or hinder that ultimate work of salvation. Jesus knew this, but in His Humanity, His Cry was not just because of the pain in the flesh, but the pain of losing that constant blessed fellowship & ministry which was His right by His position in the Godhead.
I wonder whether Jesus' anguish & pain was also not felt by the Father - that it must have been a difficult response by God to remain incommunicado & estranged even for a short period of time. The break in any fellowship can be painful. But when sin is not the basis for pain & suffering, the agony becomes so much worse, yet it's ensuing result became the hope & joy of the world.
Both Paul ( Romans 8:9) & Peter ( 1 Peter 1:11), speak of Christ's Spirit. Again, the Deity is fully seen as the selfsame Spirit that is in the World & in believers, and He is the Spirit of God & His Christ. So the Deity cannot reside in anything evil, rather God's Spirit is present to bring God's Light & Truth to those whose hearts are prepared to hunger for it & receive it.
> I want to encourage you and perhaps change your confession. I was thrilled when the Holy Spirit cleared my misconceptions about my memory. At that time my mother was presenting with dementia. That day I was asking: "scientists say that we only use 10 percent of our brains." Why can't we have more memory (like a computer)?
I got quiet and waited a long time. Finally, the Holy Spirit said: "you have the Mind of Christ." I scrambled for the Bible to look that up.
1 Corinthians 2
14 But the NATURAL man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned. (We must be born again)
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But WE HAVE the MIND OF CHRIST.
> Jesus teaches us the meaning of scripture through the Holy Spirit. That is part of his ministry to us. Always ask Him to teach you.
IF we are born again, and have RECEIVED the Holy Spirits's Baptism?
John 14:16
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 15:26
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John 16
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world (Satan), is judged.

I was a baby Christian with a teething ring when I first went out to evangelize in street ministry. Roswell New Mexico: home of the little green aliens with huge back eyes.
Most of us know enough to get all of our neighbors saved. Some we know and love. I used my own gas to pick up people and take them to church the first time; and take them back home.
A week later I found out we need to pray to the Lord of the Harvest. Who is Jesus Christ. Bible calls it intercession: same thing Jesus does 24/7x365 for All Saints. He sends us people who are ready to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
That was in the 80's. We set up film projectors, weekends on the Courthouse lawn and showed Rapture Movies to hundreds of people. Witnessing is fun! Why are we so scared to talk to strangers?? It's done every day on Facebook! Etc.
Try to stay off of private property.
Satan likes it when we stay home scared to open the door. Guess what? Jesus is The Door.
Matthew 24 is happening NOW. This is everybody's last chance to go get those rowdy teenagers in the house and show them a Rapture Movie and pray with everyone of them. Collect up some 3.00 Bibles from Goodwill to give away to them! It's an offering of your money to Jesus's ministry. Absolutely blessed!
I'm going to mention something that churches don't teach. Satan has demons named: "Spirit of Heaviness". You can Google what they do to people. Make you depressed, lethargic, lazy, unmovable, uninspired, almost paralyzed. Ever feel that ? See the world going to hell, but you doubt you can affect it? You be the guy that prays to the Lord of the Harvest and see how quick you get free from brain damaged demons. They're scared of Jesus Loving Christians. :D
Pray about what I've said. Feel alive. Be filled with the Holy Spirit! Not self pity. Not Fear.
Mishael
Only a percentage of members can attend Church due to crowding during a pandemic.
For a while (maybe still?) police were made to cruise church parking lots and write down license plate numbers. I think there was some (Christian) public outcry over that.
People really don't see how easily we can be played to worship the Antichrist. We have a Constitution that separates the State out of Church matters; not the other way around.
Church is a privilege now.
We better wake up and pay attention. What's happening is pretty bad.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Jesus Healed everyone he encountered who was sick and diseased and he performed many miracles, He also died on the cross as atonement for our sins and came to reconcile us to God who has now forgiven us. So why as Christians are we continuing to live outside of God's original plan which was in place before human sin first entered the world after creation?
Jesus loves you perfectly.
"Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
John 14:18
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
Here's the Problem
1.) John 5:23
That all men should honour the Son, euen as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not e Sonne, honoreth not e Father which hath sent him.
2.) John 10:38
But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
3.) John 14:13
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son

3.) Matthew 4:10 for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
4.) Luke 4:8 Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
by the way i love how in the catholic churchs when i hear them this way every Sunday , there is a catholic church in my city : that chanting & singing makes me too emotional & feeling that i belong to be next to them .
i'm addicted in reading the bible after seeing the lord jesus as he showed me the salvation from the vision , i woke up smiling & tried to resume sleeping even i'm late for university, i didn't care that day , i had the thirst to see him again and i feel all ready to be a pastor for his glory .
gonna keep studying the bible Philippians 1:11 , i still did not finish GENESIS because i'm analysing everything to finish building my soul in a christian thirst manner Isaiah 6:3 , so i will not ever lose the passion at all in jesus's spirite
Jude 1:20 .
he is all the way to salvation Ephesians 3:21 and Genesis 49:18
jesus came to me , he may knew my soul that fought against extrimism as a teenager & i been abused for the fights i had & now i'm a grown up man 23yo & i'm sure he been watching me when i was a child and a teenager & came that day 9/11/2020 to glorify me in the vision . John 3:16 & John 14:6
Rev. Autrey, indeed Isaiah 9:6 does say that (Jesus) will be called Everlasting Father & the Mighty God. He was & is every part that completes the Godhead as revealed to us. In Romans 8:9 we also read "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." Here Paul speaks of both God's Spirit & Christ's Spirit - self same Spirit without Whom, the Godhead would be incomplete & we would not be children of God, indwelt & sealed by Him.
And John 14:17, "Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." If one removes God the Father & say that Jesus is now our God (post incarnation), then one is compelled to do likewise to His Spirit. If one does not do so, then we would have a Binity, & that too is unacceptable.
Re: John 1:1 ff: true, the Word of God is God - God cannot be seen without the His Word & His Spirit. But why should John say, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."? Wouldn't it be easier to say that "In the beginning God was there" & just leave off "the Word"? So just say, that "this God then became flesh & dwelt among us". That would easily transfer the position of God to Jesus on Earth. But maybe, the Word has something to do with that part of the Godhead that was sent to the Earth to become a man & to fulfil the Father's Will in bringing forth the Word to His people & be the sacrificial Lamb for His people.
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? ( Psalm 27:1) - Recommend to read the whole psalm.
The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy. ( Psalm 147:11)
If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. ( John 14:15-18)
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. ( John 15:18-19)

Please remember that we can always stand on God's Word because it is the truth ( John 17:17) and never forget that Jesus will always be: the Way, the Truth, and the Life. ( John 14:6)
Hi Jackie, I believe salvation absolutely has to do with what we do or don't do. The reason I believe that is the entire gospel is based on someone taking action. People who do nothing by default will go to hell. Jesus says you must believe. That is an action. He calls people to follow Him- that's an action. He calls people to repent and confess of their sin- that's an action. Loving is an action. Acting like a Christian is an action. God gave us the gift of freewill to choose, which is an action. He loved us enough to give us a choice to follow Him. Good works are not bad. I hear some people saying it's bad to be good and that seems to have the stamp of the devil on it. While it's true we're saved by grace and not by works, we don't have grace if we don't believe or follow Jesus in the first place.
It's possible you meant good works only by your comment, but my point is that our actions absolutely determine where we're going. If it didn't, Jesus would not have spent so much time telling parables about how most people will go to hell and how to avoid that, and to avoid sin, and don't be of this world. There's been false teachings spread around lately among Christians who are saying it's totally ok to sin and be in the world and that's the opposite of what the Bible says.
God bless...

8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
John 14:9-12
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
The Holy Spirit resides in all who have come to faith in Jesus Christ ( John 14:17) & also convicts men of sin, of righteousness & (coming) judgement. ( John 16:7-11). So the Spirit is still working in the World until the appointed time when He is taken away (some argue as to when that time will be). The Son has now returned to the Father (back into the God folder), but He is distinct in that He is now God in the flesh, not as only the Word, but as the Son who has performed all that was required of Him on Earth & now at the Father's right Hand in Heaven ( Hebrews 7:25). In the human mind this is a difficult concept to grasp & that is why you are having difficulties. If you want to understand God in a human perspective, it won't work because we don't have anything on this Earth that can adequately compare to Him & our minds don't work in any other way. But do we say then that because we don't believe that such a Trinity can exist, therefore it's impossible for God to be such? I think then, that it's us who have the problem in understanding the Character of God & not the Doctrine.
Yes, illustrating the Trinity to man's trinitarian composition, is 'problematic': no illustration can adequately do the job, but I felt compelled to use it to try & help you understand, but that didn't work. And lastly, God is Spirit ( John 4:24), the Word was part of that Spirit, & the Holy Spirit was sent out into the World. So we only knew & heard God as Spirit in the OT. After Jesus ascended into Heaven, we see the (visible) God in Jesus, but we also know that God is still there ( Revelation 8:2 & about 3,000 other verses to prove it). God hasn't disappeared & Jesus has not taken His place. So please look into this & see where your theology has become skewed or maybe you are under some false teaching. May the Lord give you light on this very important matter.
