You are correct. In our prayers and confessions we go through Christ. John 14:13 and 14. Verse 14 says" if you shall ask any thing in my name I will do it. Christ is the one who takes our prayers to the Father. John 15:16 and John 16:23,24.I trust these few texts will help you.

Hi Danielle, it's my personal belief that most of the laws from the old testament were fulfilled when Jesus died on the cross. I believe this instruction to not drink blood is for health reasons and I personally still abide by it. Romans 14:13-23 relates to this. Is this your real question, because I wonder how John 15:13 is related to Leviticus 17:14.

I've been raised my entire life under the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses, but cannot wrap my head around or bring myself to completely agree with the belief that my family and everyone else seem to be very strict about.....and that is what the Bible says in Leviticus 17:14....... Kindly read John 15:1-6. Jesus says He is the true vine and we are the branches. The branches that bare fruit a retained whereas them that bare not are cut off. Baring fruit is keeping the faith of Jesus and keeping his commandments Rev 14:12. Not baring fruit is the opposite, which most of the Jews did, they believed not whom God had sent which equates to eternal life John 17:3 and hence cut off.

John 15 is a wonderful chapter. I follow Jesus' message here as well.

There is but one God. This in the main tenent of the Holy Bible. But there be many servants, and Jesus being the foremost, so that he was known of, just as he knew God intimately. When I thought that God was not hearing my prayer because of disobedience i prayed and that is the chapter that God gave me to read and I shall forever stay connected no matter what!!!! I LOVE THE LORD MY GOD WITH ALL MY HEART!!!!

John 15 tells us that we must stay connected to the "True Vine" which is Jesus the Christ, ask yourself "am I connected to the Vine?" You will know by the fruit that you bear, you will know by the love that you show, you will know by the life you live, others may ask of you why are you so happy and at peace. Live by the ten commandments, live by the fruits of the spirit and stay hooked to the Vine

The reason they are "one" is because the are on one accord. Just as Yashus (Jesus) says in John 15:17, "If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, he shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you" In John 15:5 "I am the vine you are the branches; he that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing."
