Discuss John 15 Page 18

In verse 14 Jesus says we are his friends if we do what he commanded us. Do our friends encourage us to do what Jesus commands us so that we can be his friends!

Glad to know that you acknowledge that there is GOD, whew!, secondly, I read that you ignore him daily and you seem high- minded WOW! Please read this scripture John 15:5, the latter part says this "without him, you can do nothing", we do nothing without GOD's help or allowance. if you die like you are, you will not spend eternity in his kingdom. Very concerned about you.

Jn. 15:13 - " ..... that a man lay down 'his' life for his friends." and take up the life of Christ.

V.13 - I've always read this verse as literal, and it's always 'bothered' me - because I know only God could and did that. Just now as I read it the spiritual aspect dawned on me: we lay down our WORLDLY lives and turn to God in repentance so we are in a place with God to pray for or friends. Now that makes sense. "Come now, let us REASON together ..... "

Jesus Christ showed the greatest love by offering his life as a ransom for his friends and even for those who were not yet his friends. This should definitely fill us with appreciation and we should live our lives in a way to follow in his footsteps.

I find this verse difficult. Paul wrote, " to live is Jesus to die is gain". Being in my seventies, I look back and think how difficult it has been to live for people while acknowledging the blessings bestowed to myself by our LORD. Physical death would be so much easier. Did Christ possibly mean 'dying to myself to live for others' ? Christ, in reference to himself and death he knew lay ahead of him, definitely demonstrated a love and felt a love which is difficult to attain of ourselves without the Grace and help of God via the Holy Spirit. It is imperative to add, "Thank you Jesus for the love you bestowed on me through your death on the cross".

This verse really reminds us that God's love is greater than anything.

JESUS IS LOVE AND IN HIM OUR LOVE IS PERFECTED. LET US LOVE WITHOUT REASON. FOR IN THIS SEASON ONLY LOVE CAN SUSTAIN... Jesus has sent the Comforter.. His Holy Spirit guides us. Listen today, and seek His face. It's our only true source of true peace..

God is truly amazing

I am so greatful for being chosen. God has truly been good to me. Thank you JESUS for shedding your blood and saving a sinner like me. I have to say Hallelujah glory to You, You are so worthy to be praised. I am a living witness of the change God will make in you! I was one of the biggest messes, But Glory Be To GOD, HE saved my life and made me whole. Hallelujah thank you Jesus! Try Him!

We can expect the same treatment as Christ's followers as he received.

For by the grace of God that we are save being save and yet going to be save. Just remember it's not about you, but about the KINGDOM.

If we all would believe in Christ then we all could be happy. Especially now when things are I believe are being played out from the bible

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

To love others as Christ loved me is for me to forgive anyone that has wronged me before they have done anything to me. To have a forgiving spirit at all times .Hard to do but with Holy Spirit helping , it can be done. Jesus Christ forgave me before I was even born . Now that is Awesome !!!

Comment*what a friend we have Jesus christ. In this chapter Jesus is teaching us to one another without any hindrance. We are no longer servants but we are friends to Jesus because we been filled with his spirit our comforter. The spirit which helps us to know the will of our heavenly father

Librarygal143: Jesus loves you we are already healed from his stripes . All we have to do is to praise Jesus and THANK HIS BLOOD THAT SHED FOR US. Meditating his words and thanking Jesus everyday are more than enough Jehovah Rapha our Healer. Amen you will be blessed and God is already working for the restoration of your family. Amen

Please pray for peace to once again unite my family. One hasn't spoken to the other in a long time, and it has caused a great deal of stress for everyone. I am healing from a cardiac issue stemming from gene therapy after having surgery chemo for cancer their issue has been brought to me, and I try to help. I need God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit to help all of us, and I pray every day to them.

God is good.

Jesus himself is the word of God He who loves him should keep his commandments. He who drinks the living water (word of God) will never be thirsty. I love and trust Jesus and his words abide in me everything i ask in Jesus name it shall be done unto you.Thank you Lord for the BLOOD YOU SHED FOR US Its more than enough. I'm on break tonight and just finished reading genesis chapter 1. Made in the image of God! His likeness wow! Let us make man. Us is this the father son and holy spirit? I thank God for his mercy on me for so long ! Mercy mercy. I'm still here thanks to God I've been through so much prison homelessness drug addiction and clean and free praise God!!!
