It also means to "Hail" HIM meaning "to greet with enthusiastic approval", "salute", " acclimation of great success "
Understanding these meanings, we can take comfort & even joy in knowing HIS accomplishments, we can rejoice in all things. How would we react if HE arrives in the room? I imagine Jesus walking into a room in the flesh, wouldn't we "rejoice"? Wouldn't we salute Him, cheer or clap? Yes for sure!!! We would jump out of our seats rejoicing! Better than any sporting event, star etc.
We know there's power when Jesus was around & HE makes intercession for us. Hebrews 7:25, Romans 8:27,
It says Matthew 18:20, HE is with us, John 16:23, John 14:14, Matthew 10:26-32,
When we look at the history of GOD's miracles, deliverances, love & provisions. We can "make glad" & salute HIM, rejoicing in THE LORD, what HE has done, what HE will do, Who HE is
Hopefully this is helpful & encouraging
I've seen you post two prayer requests and we're going to lift you up in prayer. Both you, Kristie and your coworkers.
Lord God, for any heaviness in heart for that David may encounter -- you are there and you've set His feet (and Kristie's) to walk on the Solid Rock which is Christ Jesus. We lift them up in prayer and to those who they encounter in their daily walk even in work. Most of us who live born again in You (Lord) work by the sweat of the brow in this world. Many of those we share labor with, know You not. Let us be that Light to them whether it be to share with them short passage of your Salvation ( Romans 10:8-13) that with Love they may know your Truth of Salvation and be born again. We lift up these prayers and magnify your Holy & Mighty name Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
John 16:22 - And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
Pray to "God" there is only 1 God, and he knows who he is!
Ephesians 4:6
"One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."
When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray he responded:
Luke 11:2
"And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth."
Jesus asks us to pray to the God the Father, in His Jesus name:
John 16:23
"And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you."
God Bless.
Please consider reflection on John 16:33, Psalms 23.

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Psalms 32:8 - I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
John 16:13 - Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Isaiah 30:21 - And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
Matthew 7:7-11 - Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you...

Comment: in this world we are aliens. Our true home is in heaven. We can't "fix" this world. God has plans for the ultimate "RESET". 2 Peter 3
My understanding is, this is the deception of deceptions and will cause the great falling away, 2 Thessalonians 2:3. Part of this deception is that the great tribulation and the wrath of God are taught as being the same thing. We must understand the wrath of God comes after the second coming of Jesus not before. Matthew 24:29-31 Mark 13:24-27.
It developed in the 17th Century, and it quickly led to an understanding that the rapture of the church would be an event separate from and before the second coming of Christ. It was made popular by John Darby, and he is thought by many to be the originator but not. C.I. Scofield, with the study bible with footnotes, helped promote this doctrine of man. It started as pre-tribulation and still mostly believed in.
We as humans sometimes look for the easy way out, and many preachers oblige to fill the money plate that makes merchandise of people, 2 Peter 2:3. Scripture does not say we will be spared tribulation it says the opposite, Acts 14:22 John 16:33. It is debated that although all Christians go through some tribulation, there is yet a great tribulation to come those true believers will not have to undergo. So, who are these, Revelation 7:13-14 Revelation 20:4
Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
The mark and saving our physical life is the temptation, that so many don't believe they will be here to face, that is the great deception. Keep from does not mean we will be spared from being killed it means to spiritually guard (watch), keep intact, Hebrews 3:6. The believers in Jesus in the past were not spared being beheaded, burnt on a stake, fed to the lions, why should we.
God bless,

John 16:23
May I suggest you reflect on John 16:33 and Philippians 4:12-13.

James 4:3,
Hopefully this is helpful
I had a friend years ago that had said 'her mother would say something to people she didn't like about fire to cause them fear' a while after that me & that dearly loved friend had a deep discussion about a medical targeted abortion. I pleaded with her not to be afraid but trust GOD, I had told her how so many things that were wonderful about her that would be in that child. She had already had the abortion. Sometime around that she would say "she had dreams about me & house fires, dangerous & was concerned for my family " after saying that to me multiple times, then no longer speaking to me. It literally bothered me over the years, causing unwelcome concerns. Then I would remember what she previously disclosed & GOD's power & protection. Matthew 5:44,
Peoples words spoken over someone can be curses or blessings but GOD says Edify one another & not to curse. Here are some scriptures: 1 Thessalonians 5:8-11, Romans 14:19, warning, Psalms 62:4, Psalms 109:28,
Remember the promises spoken over us by GOD. : Genesis 12:3, Numbers 22:12, Deuteronomy 11, Nehemiah 13:12, Proverbs 3:33,
Proverbs 26:2,
Hopefully this helps remember: John 16:13,
John 16:33,
Like Mishael said there are many opinions on this and your question is there any scriptural support for pre-tribulation I would have to say no. God has not promised us to be spared tribulation, it is pretty much the opposite, John 16:33 Acts 14:22 2 Thessalonians 1:4. The Great tribulation and the wrath of God is two different things. God will spare us his wrath, 1 Thessalonians 5:9 His wrath will be on the unrighteous, Romans 1:18.
People looking to be raptured and taken to heaven before the beast shows up and the persecution worldwide starts will not be prepared and this may cause the great falling away. Some have taken the seventh week from Daniel and other scriptures to paint a beautiful picture that is not scriptural. Millions of dollars from movies, books, tv preachers have been made on this theory that started in the 1700s
Jesus told us in Matthew 24:29-31 Mark 13:24-27 it will be after the tribulation. There is more but this should answer your question, if we are living when it starts, we will go through it, Matthew 10:22. We must do what Jesus told the disciples when they asked him about the end. The first thing He said was Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
There will be a great temptation coming, and we must be strong in our faith in His word, even unto death, because we have this promise. Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
God bless,

I believe all through the scripture it supports the view the Holyspirit empowers the believer and as the scriptures you pointed out it took the dwelling of the Holyspirit to perform in them to minister under this new covenant. You see it in the life of Peter here in Luke 22:32. When was Peter strengthened and start to perform? It's obvious in scripture after he was empowered. Christ was preaching his death and resurrection, but they couldn't receive it. In Luke 18:31-34. he declared to them what the Prophets has written, and they still couldn't grasp it because it hidden from them.
Also, in John 16:12-14. seems to suggest the same thing. The preaching of the Cross was hidden from their eyes, and it seems Paul is mentioning the same thing throughout his epistles speaking of the natural man. 1 Corinthians 2:7-14.
The Holyspirirt is essential for understand and walk. Once he reveals his truth to us they're written on our hearts it takes him to exercise those truths in us and perfect our walk. we respond to the truth by the power of the Holyspirit, likewise the Apostles.
For it is God which worketh in you both to "will" and to do of his good pleasure. Philippians 2:13.
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63.
The bible is not like our textbooks in school, what we have here has to be revealed to you, 1 Corinthians 1:18-21.
Also: 1 Corinthians 1:26-31.
You see the Holyspirits power over the flesh in Romans 8:1-14.
You see the Holyspirirt working in us through baptism given us power to cease from sin in Romans 6:1-18.
You see the contrast of the two natures in Romans 7:1-6. and so on. Here we see the contrast of what we had when we were under the law compared to what we have in Christ.
God bless.
HOWEVER, one verse earlier in Isaiah 65:16, the Bible says, "For the past troubles will be forgotten and hidden from my eyes."
It is likely only our "past troubles" will be forgotten, not all of our memories. Our memories will eventually be cleansed, redeemed, healed, and restored, not erased. There is no reason why we could not possess many memories from our earthly lives. The memories that will be cleansed are the ones that involve sin, pain, and sadness. Revelation 21:4 declares, "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
Many people die on the operating table and are resuscitated, and report seeing Jesus or long dead relatives, friends, pets.
And I realize that the one left behind and the one that went on to heaven needs to be a child of God.
Part 1 of 2.
In1 Corinthians 2:6-16, the natural man is compared to the spiritual man and the carnal man. Verse 14 says, "A natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised" (NASB). This verse does not define the natural man, as such; rather, it uses the term to describe one who does not understand God's words and thoughts. The one who can understand God's words is a "spiritual" man (verse 15).
Dr. Henry Morris, in theNew Defender's Study Bible, gives this comment on verse 14: "The 'natural' man, still unsaved, cannot appreciate spiritual truths. He must first understand Christ's atoning sacrifice for him, but even that is 'foolishness' to him (1:18) until the Holy Spirit Himself convicts him of its reality ( John 16:7-11)." Basically, the "natural" man is one who does not have the Holy Spirit residing within him. As Jesus said, "Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit" ( John 3:6).
Let's look at some other uses in the Bible of the wordnatural. InRomans 11:21we read, "For if God did not spare thenaturalbranches, neither will He spare you." In1 Corinthians 15:44-46, "It is sown anaturalbody, it is raised aspiritual body. If there is anaturalbody, then there is also a spiritual body. However the spiritual is not first, but thenatural; then the spiritual." Ezekiel 44:31speaks of anaturaldeath. Daniel 10:8speaks of anaturalcolor. James 1:23speaks of anaturalface, andJames 3:15states, "This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic."
Adam, I have a work in the world to do. I won't pretend to believe everyone will understand this. I Am not shy nor pretentious in this, and I do My work boldly under the watchful eye of the Creator. I have come boldly to the Throne of the Living God, and, Am not called to tiptoe.
Again, thank you.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Here are some of what I find that deal with falsehood in your statement. It is no condemnation of you, but yours is an example of the need for the Spirit of Truth to work in the world now.
1. Lucifer NEVER EVER EXISTED. This is a created god created by Nimrod as the replacement for the Living God. Totally made up!
2. So-called "evil" does not exist at all. Your belief thereof is the eating fron that tree, and now you give it to Me and others to eat of. You are dead.
3. Devil??? Devil-Satan-AntiChrist. Each these are separate entities. A devil can be ANYBODY. There is no such thing as "the Devil".
My dear Friend, it only takes one simple falsehood to throw all understanding into confusion. You have so many that it can be discouraging when trying to clear them.
The very first step is to stop eating of that tree.
Hopefully these help.
It's nice to hear from you again.
I'm sure many of us here have been missing your comments, and all of the pertinent scripture that you would regularly provide. Sorry to hear about your Mother-in-law passing. Will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
John 16:22
"And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you."
God Bless You!

The Father purposes
The Word (Jesus) speaks. ( John 1:1)
The Spirit (Holy Spirit) executes the spoken word. Action.
All working together. Jesus came to show us the Father, as Emmanuel.
Matthew 1:23
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God WITH US. Jesus is all human and all God. Satan is a created being. He has no authority as a result from Jesus dying on the cross for The World.
{Comment} Jesus came to bring to each born again believer; the baptism and the in-dwelling of the Holy Spirit.
[ Genesis 1:2, John 3:6, Acts 2:1-3, John 16: 7-15]
Upon being born again, Jesus gives the Holy Spirit to teach us scripture, comfort us, convict us of sin, enable us to be witnesses. Stay in the New Testament at first.
Comforter, the spirit to come after as he says he is Glorified, and that occurred when he Sat at Gods Right
Hand and completed His ministry on Earth. It was not available to receive permanently gift of Holy Spirit
until pentecost and to be received we confess out saviour from sin and from the heart Romans 10:9+10
and believe in your heart. It's your privilege to believe what you will. Moving onward to the bema!
And verses 8-9
8 When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 about sin, because people do not believe in me; 10 about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11 and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.
Because those who do not believe are subjected to sinful lives and the devil takes them to do his bidding to kill, steal and destroy, such Is the tragedy of your daughters death. To expose the nature of our enemy, murderous and deceitful thru and thru guilty.
But one day God will judge the matter of humanity, and no one shall escape not even the murderer who committed this evil to your girl and the devil will ultimately be vanquished for his evil in the world indefinitely. All will be judge. There are things He will not judge in part now but in the fullness of time in His plans All will be judged and righteousness will fill the entire land.
May your strength be renew like an Eagle to soar above the hurt and pain, glorify God in it brother, cast your burdens upon Him.
He will strengthen you in the might of the Spirit.
Go before Him boldly, let us go boldly before the throne on Grace to receive mercy in our time of need. Paul says "let us". Paul persecuted the church, cast his vote to have them murdered, now called of God erges you to go with him, the Spirit and the Bride says "Come". We are with you brother in Spirit and in prayers, and we go to a Throne of Grace not of judgement, as sons of God thru Jesus Christ we go to see our Father not a supreme judge of the world though that He is but He is much more to us as believers. He is a loving Father who cares for you and who grieves for your daughter and also rejoices with her, home at last. May the Lord bless you in your hour of need. Love you.
God bless
If you are feeling lead, trust the HOLY Spirit.
