I would like to share my thoughts.
First I would like to establish this;
In 2 Peter 1:14. Peter says "Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me."
The tabernacle is the body which the spirit resides in. Peter still exists, The only thing seems to be going anywhere is Peters body.
Now I would like to share a few verses.
John 14:20.
John 14:23.
John 11:25-26.
John 17:22-23. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
I IN THEM, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. "I IN THEM"
Colossians 3:3-4. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. ( You are already in Christ. ) When you die Christ will be fully manifested to you and in you. No longer hidden.
Galatians 2:20. Paul says he is crucified with Christ, nevertheless he lives. ( Christ dies no more, neither does Paul. ) This is why Paul says absent of the body, present with the Lord. There is no where for the spirit to go! It's not the spirit of the world that lives in a Christian, It's Christ spirit that lives in you.
1 Corinthians 15:44-49.
This sinful body we inherited from the 1st Adam returns to the Earth.
The 2nd Adam is a life giving spirit, one that we was baptized into, and the same everlasting spirit that resides in you.
The spirit will be made perfect and the body returns to Earth.
God bless.
This makes me think how people can become so enamored and intrigued by "exotic" or "new" trends. This is true in the church as well. These "baubles" can make our daily walk in godliness and fellowship with the Spirit seem somewhat "boring", especially when we are called to live a quiet and godly lifestyle. But I haven't really minded what most would consider boring, because I love to follow God's ways. I find them satisfying. But we live in a culture that glorifies risk taking behavior (rock climbing, extreme sports) and fancy, shiny celebrity lifestyles. But as believers, I think it is wise to heed what Jesus taught about being in the world but not of the world, so to speak ( John 17:15, 18)
And Paul says for us to not be conformed to the world, but to be transformed.. ( Romans 12:2) and John says to love not the world or the things of the world... which is passing away...but he who does the will of the God abides forever ( 1 John 2:15-17)
And we are told by Peter to lives such good lives among the pagans .. ( 1 Peter 2:11-12) as we should live like sojourners.
Unlike the Israelites, let's hope we do better to resist worldliness and pagan influences.
I don't believe any of us have a problem with Jesus being called the Son of God & the Son of Man - for so He is. From your understanding, Jesus began life only at birth, as the Holy Spirit placed the Seed in Mary (of God) & she then gave birth to a Man (of man).
So, the passage you quoted ( 1 Cor 15:26-28) & others signifying Jesus' elevated Position & having all things subject to Him & He being subject to the Father, I would agree to as Jesus was raised from the dead as Man, ascended & at the right Hand of God, receiving worship, & fulfilling His Position in God's Design. The problem does not lie here as we agree to these things. The problem lies whether this Holy One was in an earlier 'Divine State' or not; was He part of the Godhead or only a newly created Being born in Bethlehem?
I noted your understanding, to Adam, on the John 1:1 verse, specifically, "I'm saying that the word of God is instilled in Our Lord Jesus." And John 6:38 as well: "The Holy Spirit of God from heaven produced the manna on earth. The same with Jesus. The Holy Spirit descended on Mary and created the Lord Jesus Christ."
To John 1:1: there are other hurdles to overcome here, viz verses 3 & 14. Verse 3 speaks of "all things being made by Him" & verse 14, "the Word (i.e. that which was with God & was God - of v1) was made flesh". So here we have Someone creating (also seen in Colossians 1:13-17) & that Word from God being given flesh. I doubt if any could avoid a clear understanding of what is being taught here. And then we have John 8:57,58, John 17:5, etc. If I avoided these verses, I could well agree with you, but Scripture taken in totality simply presents this Jesus as Someone far greater from eternity than a special sinless creation in Bethlehem. It would be interesting to learn your view on these other verses, as many others have failed to come back to me when asked of them.
If the people of this world want to destroy this beautiful planet earth with their sin, and forget God!?
Well, I'll let them.
AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE
I will serve the LORD!
Sometimes I think Christians get to involved in the things of this world, and forget what Jesus said "I am NOT of the world" John 17:16-26

The set of scriptures that speak about Judas before he committed himself to betray Jesus are: Mark 3:13-19, Luke 6:13-16, John 6:61-71
The event that triggered Judas to act on his decision to betray Jesus: Matthew 26:6-16, Mark 14:3-11, John 12:3-8
Judas identified as betrayer at the last supper: Matthew 26:20-25, Mark 14:17-21, Luke 22:21-22, John 13:18-31
Once his betrayal was set in motion: John 17:9-12
At the betrayal: Matthew 26:45-50, Mark 14:40-46, Luke 22:45-48, John 18:1-9
After completing his betrayal: Matthew 27:3-10, Acts 1:16 and Acts 1:20
We must acknowledge Jn 2:24-25 was true of Christ before He chose any of His disciples. He was never deceived by anyone that temporarily followed him but fell away, including Judas, John 6:64. No prophet had been in Israel for centuries, so Christ alone had this ability when He came until Pentacost. After Pentacost the hearts of certain individuals could be revealed by Christ's Spirit to born again believers that are specially given that gift, such as Peter ( Acts 5:1-13, Acts 8:1-25) Note, Jusas, Ananias and Saphira, and Simon all had their hearts exposed as false thru their follies with money.
Judas was a disciple and he was broken off the vine, but he never had the fruit of the Holy Spirit and was never pronounced pruned/cleaned by the Father or Jesus. We know this because Judas was broken off by the Father before Jesus told the disciples they were pruned/cleaned branches abiding in Him, the true vine, who would bear fruit in John 15. Judas was marked unclean, he was never born again of the Spirit at Pentacost or made an Apostle for the great commission. He died a disciple without the fruitful presence of the Holy Spirit. He is proof that false fruitless brethren can be among us who depart 1 Jn 2:18-20, but not proof some are broken off by God who actually bear fruit by abiding in Jesus.
Deity is the only explanation for all that He was and all that He did.
(1) He was pre-existent with the Father. "The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made" ( John 1:2, 3, KJV). (Also see John 17:5 and Colossians 1:17.)
(2) He is the Son of God.
His enemies admitted: "He...said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God" ( John 5:18, KJV).
Peter confessed: "And we believe and are sure that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God" ( John 6:69, KJV).
Jesus affirmed: "I and my Father are one" ( John 10:30, NIV).
(3) He was sinless, as only God can be.
Jesus challenged His enemies: "Which of you convinceth me of sin?" ( John 8:46, KJV).
Peter testified: "...Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example that ye should follow his steps: who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth" ( 1 Peter 2:21, 22, KJV).
Paul stated: "For he...made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him" ( 2 Corinthians 5:21, KJV).
(4) He forgives sin, as only God can.
The Scribes said: "Who can forgive sins but God only?" ( Mark 2:7, KJV).
Jesus said: "But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins..." ( Matthew 9:6, KJV). (Also see John 8:11.)
Peter wrote: "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed" ( 1 Peter 2:24, KJV).
(5) He performed miraculous works.
He healed the sick: Matthew 8:9-13; Luke 4:31-44; 5:12-15; John 4:43 to 5:16; and other references.
He fed the hungry: John 6; Mark 8, etc.
He raised the dead: Luke 7:11-18; John 11:1-46.
Jesus Christ Became Man:
"And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us...full of grace and truth" ( John 1:14, KJV). (See also Philippians 2:7, 8.)
Let's not twist Truth with lies.
Read the Bible for yourself so you'll know truth. John 17:17, Zechariah 8:16, John 8:32,
Luke 3:23, people take that scripture & add holidays & other events to draw a timeline.
It doesn't actually say that Jesus CHRIST ministry is/was limited to just those years of HIS open ministry because it's everlasting. Luke 1, John 1:1-5, Luke 2:42-50, John 8:58, 1Corinthians 15:47-58, Ephesians 3:9-11, Titus 3:7, John 3:15, Hebrews 5:9, Jude 1:21, Romans 6:23, Romans 5:21, John 17:3, 2Timothy 2:10, 2Corinthians 5:1, 1John 5:11, John 10:28, 1John 5:20,
Hopefully these are helpful
John 14.
After all the disciples expected, the Holy Spirit was poured out in Jerusalem. There were many ppl there then. They spoke in all tongues. It had to be a great day! Acts 2 1-4
Then the 12 went out as Apostles and preached the word of Jesus to all nations. Given by the Holy Ghost all around even to Russia and Australia, the Holy Ghost eventually came all over the Earth. Jesus has been talked about everywhere! Think how grateful we should be.
There were no witnesses to the baptism of my spirit. (what can it tell us)? But you world for an experience. John 15:25-27 I KNEW that now something happened, i had not even thought about it, not didnt know what the Holy Spirit was! Evil powers have tried to kill me many times. Even my faith have they tried and take. But God is my thanksgiving and my fortress. I will belong to Him forever.
A word that became important to me at that time is found in Acts 2: 40-47
Hallelujah for God is good The only true and glorious God who came in flesh to us here on this poor earth!
ALL HONOR TO JESUS CHRIST HE IS my KING FOREVER! Only He Is Worthy.
Everyone has this source of eternal LIFE within them. What it's about is letting the source spring up and out. All the gifts can be given to us, just search for them! Belive in them! Only belive what u pray and u will get it in Gods time to give it too u.
1 Corinthians 12:4-13 Be strengthened in the faith dear friends and do not give up and love one another in forgiveness and in the Holy Spirit.
Until the day we are to be taken up into the heavenly dwellings by the works of Jesus Christ.
You are right that God is not human like us. Nor is He an angelic being. Both humans and angels are created by God. But God is uncreated and completely Spirit. He does not have a body or "parts" like us or animals. Angels have a spiritual body, but God does not have a spiritual body like the angels do. He is only Spirit and does not have a form or occupy a specific amount of space in heaven or earth. But people take up physical space on earth and angels have a form, so they take up space in the spiritual realm.
But, as the Bible reveals, God the son took on humanity and became a man-Jesus Christ, who was fully God and fully man in one Person in one body. He lived, died, rose again, and ascended to heaven bodily. His physical body was uncorrupted and upon His resurrection, His body was transformed into the type of body we will all have when we are resurrected. This body is physical as ours will be, but incorruptible. Jesus will always be fully God and fully man in one person in one body forever. When He comes back, He will come back bodily. In eternal live, we will see God in Jesus forever. So, God, who is eternal Spirit, added to Himself a human body to the Person of God the Son in order to save us. It is such a mystery. But in heaven, we will understand more fully and will be completely awed by the Person we see as God-Jesus Christ. The Father and the Holy Spirit do not have a body or form, (and Jesus did not either before He became man), but we will experience each person of the Godhead (Trinity)
in Jesus, as Jesus said that He and the Father are One.
See John 14:7, 9-11 John 17:6-19
Thank you for your, explanation of the Trinity. It really is such a mystery yet the Bible clearly shows three distinct persons in the Godhead, and also states that God is truly one LORD ( Deut. 6:4). we can see the manifestation of the trinity at Jesus' baptism with the Son incarnated in Jesus, the Father speaking in an audible voice from heaven, and the Holy Spirit's descent upon Jesus. If one reads the Last Supper Discourse in John 14-17 one will note that Jesus speaks of the Father and the Holy Spirit as distinct persons but then He states the oneness of the three persons.
It is not just the Catholic church that affirms this, rather most traditional Protestant churches affirm this doctrine also. However, it was the Catholic church through those early centuries that repeatedly refuted the various heresies that evolved in those times concerning the nature of God. Among those heresies, there are a few that have emerged in recent times:
Modalism: teaches that God is only one person yet manifests Himself at different times as Father, Son, and Spirit. Scripture references Jesus speaking at the Last Supper Discourse of the Father and Spirit as real persons He was in relationship with. Yet Jesus also speaks of these Persons also being one with Him. ( John 14-18)
Adoptionism: teaches that Jesus attained godhood by living a perfect sinless life. Yet Scripture shows us that Jesus pre-existed His conception in Mary when He said to the Pharisees, "before Abraham was I am." During the Last Supper discourse, Jesus also asked the Father "glorify Me together with You, with the glory which I had with You before the world was." ( John 17:5) Paul states that the world was created by Jesus, so He existed eternally as God the Son before anything was created. ( Hebrews 1:1-3) and elsewhere.
Rejection of Jesus' divinity: Some sects in Christianity that hold to this doctrine teach that Jesus was just a perfect man, not part of the Godhead.
"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, Whom You have sent." John 17:3
Our relationship with the only true God is the reason God created man as He did-to know Him. Think about the goodness of having eyes, ears, etc. to observe His revelation of Himself in history; of our minds that can think, reason, and store what is learned from His revelation; for language by which we speak and read about Him and His revelation of Himself as well as words to praise and worship Him; our emotions so that we can be moved by His love for us and return it back to Him; our ability compose music and song to praise Him with; our spiritual nature to yearn for Him and be regenerated by the Holy Spirit to believe and receive Him within us. The goodness of God is boundless like all of His attributes. Knowing that in His wisdom He designed us in such a good way to enter into profound relationship with the Creator and Maker of all things despite our creaturely limitations and His unsearchable, infinite, perfect, pure, holy, transcendent nature. How wonderful that He made it so that we can know enough of Him in this life and the next for us to be completely satisfied in Him, even though we cannot come close to knowing ALL that He is!
Ephesians 6:12.
Just wanted to bring clarity to what I posted and what has been presented. I used 2 Corinthians 4:4. You see the work of Satan that hinders the mind of most of the world.
All the blessings mentioned in the other post is offered to the "whole world" but few will receive it. Mathew 7:13-14.
The Lord is calling a people OUT of the world."His Church" starting with the Apostles who was to be a whiteness but to be separate from the world where Satan is the prince.
Here is just a few scripture references of the Lord and our relationship to the world as we stand.
John 17:9-16.
John 12:31.
1 John 2:15-17.
John 1:6-12.
In Revelation-12:9. Scripture says Satan deceives the whole world. You see by then the church is taken out of the world Gods children Will be with him, They're children of the light. Satan is the ruler of darkness. Ephesians 6:12.
When a person is not born again "Born from above", He is what is called "In the flesh" and that flesh is controlled by principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness. His father is the prince of this world! Satan rules in his heart.
The Lord came to give you a NEW heart and a new spirit as he promised the Jews in Ezekiel 36:26-27.
More references:
Beginning with Luke 4:5-7. Here you see Satan tries to temp Jesus to bypass the cross where he will bruise Satans head and have the final climax in Revelation.
Did you notice, Jesus never refuted satans claim?
This is why Paul stated this in Romans 8:19-22.
This is why Abraham pitched tents looking for a land who's maker is God.
Peter says we are strangers and pilgrims.
When Christ come set up his literal kingdom he will rule with a rod of iron and rule in mans heart.
That has not happened yet.
God bless.
2Thessalonians 2:10-12, Colossians 2:8, Even to the ' religious authority ' Jesus had to rebuke: John 8:44,
Keep reading The WORD, keep seeking truth GOD loves those that seek HIM Deuteronomy 4:29, 3John 1:3, John 17:17, Zechariah 8:16,
Hopefully these are helpful in your searching for truth
I think this is enough for now.
Our God is so great and amazing. He deserves our all.
I have been studying Hod's essence and attributes for the past month or so again, as I have done so in the past.
How please my heart is to be reminded of how wonderful He is.
I have purposely not cited Scripture verses for these thoughts because I would hope that those who want them would read up on this subject and find Scriptures cited by many who have written more extensively on this matter on a number of sites. These writers have done the work of searching the Scriptures for us. We would need to read the the whole Bible to get this knowledge. But, thankfully, others have done so, and we can read their findings and check out the Scripture verses to see if what is said in other their writings and Scripture align. I encourage people to do their own inquiry. They will be blessed. Having a truer view of who God really is is profitable to believers. In fact Jesus said that "And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only True God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."
John 17:3
The problem becomes evident when we rest only on those individual Scriptures & not look at all the Scriptures that speak of Him. I realize that you did, a few days ago, give your understanding of John 1:1-14, which I can't locate again. How then do you view John 8:58, John 17:5, or even Colossians 1:14-17, to name a few? What you write to us, we can readily agree to, but it's the Scriptures that are not taken into account, that makes understanding a difficult doctrine, one-sided. If these 'other' Scriptures were not given to us, then truly we must believe that Christ came into Being at His Conception in Mary. The examples of verses I've given above would be very difficult to read in any other way than given. Here are Truths that we can't avoid - they, together with His coming as a Man, must fit together so that we can properly understand Who this Jesus is (at least as much as is revealed to us).
You wrote: "Jesus was exalted by God. If he was exalted it must mean he was lower in position." And again, yes, He was found in that lower position as a man, which Hebrews 2:9 speaks of: "But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man." And in His Coming, "HE TOOK NOT ON HIM the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham." (v16). Why should it be said of Him that He should take on man's flesh (seed of Abraham), when the possibility was there that He take on the nature "like unto the angels"? Apart from the obvious fact that He needed to become a Man for being the sacrifice for our sins, the other matter that is evident in that verse, is that He had the Power to assume any substance or material He wished. So Who then is this Man Jesus? Is He not the One Who also said, "Before Abraham was (or, existed), I am" ( John 8:58)? And He also said, "O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I HAD WITH THEE before the world was." ( John 17:5).
The question therefore remains: where was Jesus before He became a Man & before He "MADE HIMSELF of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross." ( Philippians 2:8,9)? If He only began life as a Man of God/God's Appointed, how do we answer these other Scriptures that speak of another Life before His Birth? And His clear claims to a pre-existence in Heaven? Can we force another meaning to any of them?
It's alright if you don't wish to respond to me, which ever the reasons may be. Please read: John 19:28, 1 Peter 1:20,
John 19:36, prophetic fulfilled by Isaiah the same Prophet that declares GOD's recompense, vengeance, punishment. Romans 11:2,

Luke 8:28
Jude 1,
Matthew 25:31-46,
You're correct, Jesus' Name is not seen there in John 1:1-14, but who then is John the Apostle writing about? I can't think of anyone else that fits that description. John wrote about the Word of God: that which was with God & God Himself (v1). This Word was involved in creation (vv3,10) - notice John begins to use a pronoun (He, Him) describing this Word. In this Word was both Life & Light (v4). When John the Baptist arrived on the scene, he bore witness of that Light (v7). That Word Who was with God & was God, was made a man & lived the life of a man (v14). That Word came to His Own people but they rejected Him (v11), but those who received Him were made sons of God (v12). These are not separate accounts; this whole passage is consistent in its subject matter & implications.
This passage of Scripture is talking about God's Word. It's not about Apostle John or John the Baptist, or anyone else. The only Person Who could fit the bill is God's Word, Jesus Christ: He is the only One Who could be the giver of Life & Light & be the Creator of all things (also Colossians 1:15-17). He is the Only One Who could ask His Father ( John 17:5: "O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I HAD WITH thee before the world was."). He is the only One Who could state ( John 6:38: "For I CAME DOWN from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me."). And He is the only One Who could tell the Jews ( John 8:58: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, BEFORE ABRAHAM WAS, I AM.").
I always wonder how folk consider these verses that I've shared here. I'm sure Jesus is not lying to us by saying those things. Do people read those verses as I do or in some other way that I'm missing? Or, should we determine that since the incarnation is 'impossible', therefore all these Scriptures are meaningless? Even if Christ's Deity is hard to understand, we can't simply reject it.
Read all the chapter verse 8-26
Mark12:32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:

John 17:2-23 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
Are we one, are we of one heart, are we of one accord, are we members in one body, are we of one mind, are we of one faith, if we are in Jesus, are we not all one?
