In the Abstract we have God blessing His creation. (Ge.1:20-22) In the light of the above here we have St Peter making a distinction as to what kosher is and what is not.
"And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat./ But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean."(Ac.10:13-14) In the vision of Simon Peter at Joppa, his Jewish mindset proved daunting. So the voice came second time and third time. But the voice made the point:' What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.' The Spirit is specific and the number Three, -a command number mentioned above is for instruction: the Son has cleansed with his blood such ceremonial defilement stipulated in the Law of Moses. (1 John 1:7)
Jesus during his earthly ministry pointed where defilement could occur:"But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man./For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:/These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.(Matt.15:18-20).
In this context to the pure everything is pure. (Ti.1:15). This purity is not imposed from outside by sheer will but in being at rest, letting Jesus who lives in the believer at rest too, so whatever he does is for the glory of God. "If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." (1 Pe.4:11)
A good work is when we do the will of God as a response to his love, mercy and our new identity of righteousness in Jesus Christ. In our New Covenant with God, grace is the ruling factor.
Grace and truth have come to us through Jesus. ( John 1:17) Truth is the law. And the problem with the law is our flesh, our fallen nature.
Grace - Godly ability, the divine influence which works in the heart of man making him able. It is God's perfect provision for man's every need.
It takes both truth and grace for good works. We need truth to know what the action of good works are. And we also need grace in order to have the proper motivation for good works.
The term "fallen from grace" doesn't mean that someone has fallen from sin. Rather it means they no longer have access to God's ability in them. They have left grace and are fixated on truth alone, and are trying to do good works in their own ability.
But what they get in that case is nothing but dead works instead.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Didn't you understand yet? Around 4000 years after Adam GOD still was working, don't you learn this yet, or don't you believe in the Word of GOD? JOHN 5:17 - Jesus said to the keepers of Sabbath day: My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. By the way, when my Lord JESUS said that to the Jews, it laready was the beginning of the fith GOD's Day, don't you know of this? Why GOD the Father still was working in the turn from the fourth to the fifth GOD's Day? Now, now, it because GOD the Father had established for He Himself, since the beginning, to work 6 Days and to rest in the seventh Day. Now, now, the seventh GOD's Day is now, even now, from now on, understand? From Adam until this current time have passed around 6000 years complete. So, you and everyone who thinks like you, must understand that only now, even now, from now on, will GOD the Father rest from His works. Again: It was still the fourth Day, so, understand, JESUS, the Greater Light, said to the Jews: My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. Of course, GOD and my Lord JESUS was working in the fourth Day, GOD the Father and JESUS are One, dispite being two distincts Persons- Hebrews 1:1-3- , and as you know, "without my Lord JESUS was not any thing made that was made"- John 1:3.
Be sure that GOD the Father rests only now in the seventh and last Day, and my Lord JESUS takes command of the Universe and History, in Time and Space, now from this seventh Day onwards. And in the kingdom of GOD- Revelation 11:15 combined with Luke 20:35-36- , which will be established now in the seventh GOD's Day , no seventh-day keeper will come in with his deceptive doctrine, whose doctrine was invented by the seducing spirit of Devil - Genesis 3:1- , and it was sowed through those which departed from the faith- Galatians 3:11, giving heed to doctrines of devils.
Be careful or then get ready
The Word is GOD, what matters and prevails is the Word of GOD, understand? There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
GOD to shine HIS face gloriously on all who love and look forward to HIS coming!
And GOD-the Father-said,Let us make man in our IMAGE,after our likeness:...
Heb.1:1-3&6
1GOD,-the Father-who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2Hath in these last days (last 2000 years or two GOD's Days, and around 4000 years after Adam)has spoken unto us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things,by whom also He made the worlds(as is written in John 1:3 combined with John 5:17)
3Who being the brightness of His Glory, and the EXPRESS IMAGE of GOD's Person(IMAGE described in the Scriptures),and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
6And AGAIN,when GOD brings in the firstbegotten into the world-the current world-,He sais,And let all the angels of GOD worship Him.
Luke 20:35-36 ->35 But they which shall be accounted WORTHY to obtain that world-next world-the Kingdom of GOD-,and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
36Neither can they die any more:for they are EQUAL unto the angels; and are the children of GOD-the Word is GOD, self-executing/ executable-,being the children of the resurrection.
So GOD-JESUS-created man in His own IMAGE,in the IMAGE of GOD-the Father-created He him;male and female created He them-Ge.1:27 combined with Jo.17:4-6->4 I have glorified thee on the earth:I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
5And now,O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
6I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gave me out of the world:thine they were, and thou gave them me;and they have kept thy Word.(John the Baptist preached, saying:No man has seen GOD-the Father- at any time, the only begotten Son,which is in the bosom of the Father,He hath declared Him-Jo.1:18)
The kingdoms OF THIS WORLD are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ;and He shall reign for ever and ever
Jesus of Nazareth came; in the flesh to fulfill numerous prophecies from the Old Testament of the Messiah to come; yet most didn't believe. This is inclusive of His own family members; the Pharisees and Saducees; and at times attitudes from His own disciples.
Eventually after He was risen the stupor was lifted at least for those who He had called and chosen. (see John 1:11; John 7:4-5).
In assessing the situation with the very real parable of Lazarus and the unnamed rich man; the very clear reality is shown that even if one was to rise from the dead they wouldn't believe ( Luke 16:31). This was proven by the soldiers and the concocted tale of how the body of Christ was stolen while they slept ( Matthew 28:13). It would be expected that the supernatural signs with the sun and moon during the Crucifixion would have been enough to convince everyone what had just happened; but we see similar things during the plagues in Revelation; yet the unregenerate in the end will attempt to fight Christ upon His return after hiding from Him during the sixth seal judgment.
Thus; the Holy Spirit is hidden from the world. Much as Christ's acts were recognized; many would not understand that He was indeed the Son of God. Some; as the Pharisees would blaspheme stating that the source was Beelzebub which prompted the warnings of Mark 3:29. Others such as the crowds being fed or those being healed were caught up with having their stomachs filled or earthly ills relieved; and as we see in Luke 17:11-19 only one of ten lepers comes back to Christ to worship Him after being healed. The rest followed Christ's instructions technically to go show themselves to the priests to affirm healing but weren't giving priority to the Messiah over Levitical law. This speaks to us on how we should not have fear to authenticate what are genuine healings as opposed to false ones which sadly are commonplace today.
I had an interesting discussion with a friend of mine who is a young Pastor last week. In it; he was lamenting an individual who claimed that Christ died for him (or her). This was because the evidence of it through this person's behavior would indicate otherwise. It is indeed true and necessary that we all have a personal understanding and experience in regard to salvific faith and repentance granted in regard to being one of God's elect if indeed we are saved. Clearly "accepting" Christ as Lord isn't really doing anything beyond what demons do and shudder ( James 2:19). Confession with the mouth and belief in the heart must coexist ( Romans 10:9-10); it is more than just a verbal declaration of facts. Nonetheless there should be some understanding of the atonement; as well as evidence that the heart has been changed with the spirit convicting of sin; righteousness and judgment to come ( John 16:8). As the Lord states "out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh" ( Matt. 12:34 and other related verses in New and Old Testament). What John 3:16 is indicating is a state of belief; not merely a one time thing (as translated correctly). Enduring to the end shows that it isn't our own strength which brings about this result; since we all struggle with sin as long as we live (1 John 1:8). Nonetheless we have the capacity to live a life of Holiness; since greater is He within us than he who is in the world ( 1 John 4:4).
There are variations of strengths and weaknesses that we all have; some are steeped in doctrines but rather cold in affection towards God; others seem to be caught up in experiences at the expense of wisdom from the Word; and often they seem to have little grasp of repentance or deem it not worthy in very much discussion. There is ample substance in the Word for the Spirit to enlighten us; and any personal vision or dream must be subject to the Word; if in variance then it must be discarded.
Matt.15:21-39 "Feeding the Four Thousand"-Introduction
A primer on the significance of the Numbers may be in order.
*One refers to God."The Lord our God is one Lord."(De.6:4)
*Two- The Word was with God. ( John 1:1) Jesus set Decalogue in terms of the Word become flesh signifying that it is doable. Fleshy hearts signifies its universality. 22:38-39
"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind."
"And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself./On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.(22:37-40)
*Three- Trinity vis-a-vis Man. The Spirit tags the Son as Three.
*Four Word become flesh- Jesus Christ the same indicates 4 cardinal directions. Multiples of 10 indicates life of man abiding in the Son or as a double for him.
*Five- Earthly existence of man in which ox (service) is counted as one with Man.
*Six- see below
*Seven- Seven is made up the will of heaven indicated by Three. Four signifies obedience of man. This is 3+4-7
Man of Perdition is he who defies the order of heaven; and son of perdition for instance Judas Iscariot who betrayed the Son. The beast is 666 signifying his body, spirit and soul equally bound over to do the will of Satan
*Eight- Jesus preached to the souls in prison. Lower parts. 24 elders are memorial before the throne to indicate the everlasting gospel. 8x3
*Ten Commandments Decalogue. The red dragon having 10 horns- "and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns," to indicate he is already judged and under condemnation.
*Twelve Gospel of God "As in heaven" from the Lord's Prayer. Jesus made it manifest.
Feeding Four Thousand informs us the factoring of the Word to the world for which Evangelist introduces the episode of the Canaanite woman (vv.21-28) The Gentile woman proved her faith was in order. " yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table." Heaven and her faith agreed.
I do at times share with a few RC friends, & they also read the Bible themselves (a wonderful permission now granted to them), so they are asking questions, some even searching for the Truth (as in your cases). And some even now are saved within that Church, yet unable to leave probably because of the indoctrination of damnation in their early years, to any who considered leaving her. But I remain hopeful that the Spirit will continue to work in (& amongst) them, just as He has done in both of you.
An example: In the Qur'an there are a lot of verses that bring great honor to God, even mirroring the belief some hold to Jesus' position within the Godhead ( John 1:1); and this is found in Surah 3:45 (Qur'an), "When the angels said, 'Mary, God gives thee good tidings of a Word from Him, whose name is Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary; highly honoured shall he be in this world and the next". Here, the claim is made that Jesus is the Word of God, came from God as His Messiah, yet most Muslims reject this meaning as it's incompatible to God being One, without any association. Would I then use the Qur'an as a reliable source to complement the Bible in my readings (Never), or should I be aware that there are truths in there also, yet the 'whole' is so corrupted offering no hope & salvation to the Muslim?
So, even those truths can be the foundation to access the hearts & minds of others (Muslims, RCs, others), where in most cases, a total rejection to the biblical Truth will shut us off completely from them. Here of course, I'm thinking of ministry to such folk lost in darkness & sin, & also as a teaching between Truth & error, learning of what others believe & what has caused them to "err from the truth". So yes, we can at least appreciate when the RC does believe according to the Word: some Light is still evident there amongst the lies & so we have a good basis to build up on our common beliefs, striving to lead them to the perfect & final Work of Jesus for them.
"Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight./ All things are delivered unto me of my Father."As the Word become flesh he is set as the true Light. The Spirit gives us the precise time when Jesus began his ministry. "The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up./From that time Jesus began to preach"(4:16-17). Isaiah inspired by the Spirit ('Wisdom is justified of her children') spoke and Jesus began his ministry prompted by none other than what his eye of faith saw. He as the true Light saw the people had caught on the great light breaking on them. It is similar to the starlight we see at the night sky the light of which must have taken some billion lightyears to reach us, just the same it is in the present. This is a good analogy to explain the word sent forth by God making connection. This does not come from observances but by faith comparing the spiritual with spiritual. So Jesus forthwith calls people and without a murmur they become his disciples.(4:18-23). It is God's time we are looking at, and the work of Gospel cannot be thwarted. In the key text we have the manner God set it all about. God and whomsoever the Son reveals him and it is about the Gospel of God the Spirit intends. It is thus God came upon Zacchaeus, the publican. Because of his short stature, he climbed up. " And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way./And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house./And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully." ( Luke 19:4-6). It is not by will of man but by the will of God that one is called into the Association.( John 1:12-13). All we bring into it is faith.
"Neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him."
We know that we are of GOD, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of GOD is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is True, and we are in Him that is True, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life - 1John 5:19-20
John 1:11-13
11 JESUS came unto His own, and His own received Him not.
12 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of GOD, even to them that believe on His NAME:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of GOD.
Thank you for your reply. What I must say for you and all, is that that is not the good and true allegoric interpretation of the verse 3. We must be careful with him that is in Genesis 3:1, i.e. since the beginning.
Ezekiel 29:2-3 say: -->2Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt: 3 Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD;Behold,I am against thee,Pharaoh king of Egypt, the GREAT DRAGON ( Revelation 12:9), (who)lieth in the midst of his rivers(now, even now,in the current time,it is as a sea/so,now the GREAT DRAGON lies in the midst of the sea), (who)hath SAID, My river is mine own(now it is as the sea), and I have made it(now made the sea, i.e. peoples, and nations, and multitudes of all tongues)for myself(for himself).
Remember:The letter kills(it is mortal),but the Spirit gives life.GOD is Spirit and is Life.By the way, GOD is in occult under the letter of the Bible(twoedged Sword),as said John the Baptist, the angel of the Lord, saying:"No man hath seen GOD at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him- John 1:18. And our beloved Lord JESUS revealed, saying: "... no MAN knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any MAN the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal Him. Hallelujaaah!!!
GOD BLESS and stand on the Rock, Amen. And get ready for the great battle of the END of the time between the body of the Lord JESUS-His Church, and the body of the GREAT DRAGON-his devilish Church-of 7 heads, 10 horns and a terrible TAIL. Revelation 13:4 says: And they worshipped (will worship) the Dragon which gave power unto the Beast(unto the MAN Beast of sea- Revelation 13:2): and they worshipped (will worship) the Beast, saying, Who is like unto the Beast? who is able to make war with him?
Revelation 11:15-18
15 The kingdoms OF THIS WORLD are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever
"And Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee./And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth./And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?"
Jesus came as the Word become flesh. He was God in his own right since God sent him 'as the only begotten Son' so wherever he healed or suffered rejection he did so since his obedience to the Word that was sent before the worlds began."Behold" here we have another expression which the Spirit uses to indicate the Word which was 'in the beginning'. His obedience as a man to the Word is what we need infer to the confession,"I am the Way."( John 1:1;8:58). Faith of the palsied man and of his four helpers elicited him to address him as 'Son.' We already discussed the doctrine of God he declared against the holy mountain and what we shall read in the gospel, is the practical application of it according to the occasion warranted.
"And behold" the Spirit introduces in the next verse.Certain of the scribes took umbrage at it. "This man blaspheneth" they thought. The Word had already foretold what they signified in Salvation Plan of God. "And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:/For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them."(13:14-15)
God as the Creator understand thoughts of man and know of their worth, "I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings."(Je.17:10)
"O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me..../thou understandest my thought afar off."
John 10:34- seems to be a popular verse here. People want to believe they are a god, is that what's happening here? That would be a gross misinterpretation. You know this is a quote with a question mark at the end, right? Let's be honest about it. Here's the commentary for that:
Christ's argument is: If your law calls judges gods, why should I be held guilty of blasphemy for saying that I am the Son of God?
As per the other argument trying to discredit the word "one" sounds like your argument is that one doesn't really mean one, because Jesus used it to describe believers being one. I don't see how being one in unity as Christ's body somehow means that all the Bible verses about Jesus being God and divine suddenly don't apply? The verse about the Father and Son being one is only one of MANY verses competing the picture. The Bible already says Jesus the Word is God so how can you disregard that?
God: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1 KJV
You: Word was "NOT" God?
"Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also." John 8:19 KJV
Have you thought about how your belief reconciles with verses like this above?
Isaiah 7:14 -
Yes, Jesus is called Immanuel which means "God with us". People called Jesus "God". He's King of King and Lord of Lords. Alpha and Omega, first and last. Do you believe Jesus is Lord? I believe that is a requirement for even being a Christian. A Christ follower should know who Christ is.
1 John 5:7-8
John 10:30
John 8:19
Genesis 1:26
Genesis 11:6-7 (plural "us" which includes Jesus, as per John 1:1)
Since it seems you responded to my post I will respond to you. I have never reported anyone on this site or advocated for anyone to be banned. If the administration determines that someone should not be allowed to post then that is their prerogative.
The veracity of whether Jesus is God or not is not a matter of how many people believe it is true or not. Biblical truth is not determined democratically by consensus of the majority or minority. True doctrine is determined by what Scripture says to be true.
Even though billions of Christians believe Jesus is God does not make it true.
John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God....'
John 1:14
"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us , full of grace and truth; we beheld his glory, as of the ONLY Son of the Father."
John 10:30 Jesus says,
"I and the Father are one"
Just in these few verses we have Scripture stating that Jesus is God and is that the Father and Son are one together, though distinct persons.
Later on in John 14:16-17, Jesus says that He will ask the Father to send the Spirit. Thus naming EACH Person in the One God.
I think that true doctrine is important and beneficial to believers and that false doctrine is corrupting to a believer. That is why I speak out concerinng doctrine that is opposed to revealed truth in Scripture, especially doctrine concerning the identity, character, nature and work of our Savior.
Jema, I respect that you do wish to ignore or pass over postings that do not agree with your viewpoint.
And I respect that you prefer to speak what you believe without having others speak in disagreement of what you state as your beliefs.
This is a discussion forum, primarily, and not simply a place for people to post their beliefs without expecting a response. But each of us engage on this forum as we see fit as we prayerfully consider what others post and seek the Lord's guidance in how or if we respond to a posting.
Yes, Jesus is God. He is because the Bible says He is, like John 1:1 and many other places. Can someone truly be a Christian and not believe Christ's divinity? Satan deceives even Christians and those deceived seem to remain stubborn and not readily admit they've been conned. It seems no amount of Bible verses even matter at this point. It doesn't matter than 10 says He is God, or 100, they've made up their mind it seems. Jesus's own name Immanuel means "God with us."
Those who seem motivated to campaign against Jesus and attack and try to demean him seem like enemies of Christ. Would someone who loves Jesus do that? The same old tired straw man arguments and flawed human logic is somehow viewed as carrying more weight than the scriptures themselves. Cherry picking and twisting a few verses occurs while ignoring a mountain of clear verses saying Jesus is God, like John 1:1. But as the Bible says in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 people will seek out fables and turn to lies to satisfy their fleshly itching ears. It is disgusting.
I don't know how but I left letters out of Elohim three times.
The passages should have read as follows
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD Yehvh, make straight in the desert a highway for our "God/Elohim".
Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before ME: AND THE LORD, WHOM YE SEEK, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD/Yehvh of hosts.
And
Isaiah 40:1-5
"Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your "God / Elohim."
Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's/Yehvh hand double for all her sins.
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD Yehvh, make straight in the desert a highway for our "God/Elohim".
Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
And the glory of the LORD/Yehvh shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD/Yehvh hath spoken it.
It's interesting that you have Yehvh, lhym, and dn 'dn being represented as the same individual in these passages and if you add Mark 1:1-4Matthew 3:3 and John 1:14-29.
"Ye have wearied the LORD/Yehvh with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD/Yehvh, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God/lhym of judgment?
Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before ME: AND THE LORD, WHOM YE SEEK, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD/Yehvh of hosts.
Isaiah 40:1-5
"Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God/lhym.
Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's/Yehvh hand double for all her sins.
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD Yehvh, make straight in the desert a highway for our God/lhym.
Thank you for this discussion, it is good to hear salvation is not dependent on this doctrine I have been told in many Churches I have attended I was not saved and was a heretic and shunned.
You know Greek better than I, but my understanding is the word Godhead which was added in the 1500s was translated twice and is misleading. Godhead is in the Bible 3 times, Acts 17:29, Greek word theios which means divine, Romans 1:20, Greek word theiotes which means divinity, divine nature, and Colossians 2:9 Greek word Theotetos which means deity.
The verse Colossians 2:9, in Jesus, dwelleth all the fulness of the deity of God, Jesus was filled without measure with God's Spirit/Holy Spirit John 3:34. John the Baptist said God had told him when Jesus was anointed/baptized John 1:32-33. God dwelt in Jesus and empowered Him by the Spirit. God gave Jesus power and authority Matthew 11:27. In John 1:14 we probably differ, God in Jesus dwelt/tabernacled among us. God was manifest in Jesus, John 12:49John 14:10.
Mark 2:5-8 in Matthew 11:25 Things were hidden from the wise and prudent, Scribes, Sadducees, and Pharisees were the ones accusing Jesus of blasphemy, as we see in Matthew 9:6-8, the same event multitudes glorified God. Jesus was given full authority in Matthew 28:18 and John 17:2-3 that we should know the only true God and Jesus Christ whom the Father sent, same as all the introductions, greetings, and blessings given to the followers of Christ in the New Testament were from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ and in Revelation 21:22.
All authority has been given to Jesus by the Father until the last enemy, death is put under His feet, 1 Corinthians 15:25-28Revelation 20:14.
Re.11:4 - These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. (Whatsoever is more than these or is added comes of evil).
The two olive trees
are to produce oil for the two candlesticks.
They are the Old and the New Testaments-i.e. the Word of GOD-, the Word is GOD, understand? John 1:1
The two candlesticks
are two Churches: The Jewish Church - Hebrews 12:23; and Gentile Church: John 10:16
For example: Revelation 1:20 - ... the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches (of Asia).
Who will be in the scenary from now on or in this end of the time is Michael, a prince of the LORD sent by JESUS as the God of the earth (as Moses was sent as the God of Pharaoh), he appeared to John in the midst of the seven candlesticks as one like unto the Son of man. Now he will be in the midst of the two Churches -TWO CANDLESTICKS as above cited- and to the TWO OLIVE TREES above cited WILL BE(IS)given Power to shut heaven that it rain not in these days of THEIR prophecy: and have Power over waters (OVER PEOPLES, AND NATIONS, AND MULTITUDES OF ALL TONGUES-FOR HE THAT IS ABOVE IS ABOVE ALL- John 3:31-36) to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. The Word is GOD, self-executing, understand?
There is only one constitution, the Law which is the Word. He is forever settled in the heaven because of which when God sent his Son he sent him as the Word become flesh. Even so his obedience to his Father's mandate dictated fulfilling all righteousness. "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."(5:17) His advent was declared by the prophets so the word of God and in the last days spoken by the Son. So Law is sent forth as the spoken Word, the logos aspect of it we read in John 1:1.The Word was God.
Law (the Word) was also the voice of the Lord. It was how God validated the ministry of his Son when he stepped out of the water. "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."(3:17). His baptism by water was for his humanity, and he told John,"for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness."(3:15) He came to fulfill the Law and not destroy it. "There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?"(Jas.4:12)
"But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness."(6:23) Over the Bathsheba affair Nathan the prophet convicted David of his sin with his 'reverse' parable. David the king on hearing was furious. He was anointed of the Lord and as a judge he was sure, "As the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die.And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity." "And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man."(2 Sa.12:5-7). The man after the Lord's own heart sinned and he could not have understood the enormity of his guilt,'because his whole body was full of darkness'. Nathan's parable presented truth before the king. David with sin in his heart was no judge. When presented as a parable objectively the error was so plain! So is everyman without Christ abiding in him. If his eye of faith is evil there was no truth in him to judge another .
Ok.My point is what my Lord JESUS said.Follow me;and let the dead bury their dead-Mat.8:22.In JESUS is life;the LIFE is the light of men, the LIGHT shineth in darkness;and the darkness comprehend it not- John 1:4-5.
Speaking of dog, what matters and prevails is what is written in Isaiah 56:10-11: 10 His watchmen are blind:they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark;sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
11Yea,they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are SHEPHERDS(Pastors)that cannot understand:they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
And my Lord JESUS warned:Re.22:15-For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
And Paul warned:Beware of dogs... Philippians 3:2
JESUS said:Out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness,blasphemies-Mat.15:19
Their throat is an open sepulchre;with their tongues they have used deceit;the poison of asps is under their lips-Ro.3:13:
Death and life are in the power of the tongue:and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
GOD warned Adam:Gen.2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil( Genesis 3:1),thou shalt not eat of it:for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Daniel prophesied:Many that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
It because dust is the food of the Serpent-Gen.3:17
The King shall say unto them on His right hand,Come, ye blessed of my Fathe
I thank the LORD for saving me from my sins and giving eternal life with HIM. I pray that I will be faithful in my daily prayers, reading of HIS Word, and witnessing unto others.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! GOD to shine HIS glorious face on you and your family. GOD bless Jerusalem and their need to call and recognize the LORD JESUS CHRIST as their Messiah.
"The angel of the LORD encampeth around about them that fear HIM, and delivereth them. Psalm 34:7
To avoid them, you have to know who they are. You can't avoid somebody if you don't know who they are. This idea of identifying and avoiding shows up in
1 Corinthians 5:11;
2 Thessalonians 3:6,
2 Thessalonians 3:14;
2 Timothy 3:5;
2 John 1:10.
In other words, Christians, and shepherds in particular, should be discerning and alert to behavior and teaching that dishonors Christ and destroys people - and not treat it in a casual or harmless way.
And then in 1 Timothy 5:19-20, Paul went beyond just "avoid them" to "rebuke them publicly." So, speaking of elders who persist in error, he said, "Do not admit a charge against an elder except on the evidence of two or three witnesses. As for those who persist in sin" - and that can be sin of false doctrine or sin of evil behavior, anyone who does not accept correction - "rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear.."
And then Paul went on and actually named destructive false teachers:
"Demas, in love with this present world, has deserted me" 2 Timothy 4:10.
You are aware that all who are in Asia turned away from me, among whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes" 2 Timothy 1:15.
"By rejecting this [faith and a good conscience], some have made shipwreck of their faith, among whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander" 1 Timothy 1:19-20.
"Their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus" ( 2 Timothy 2:17).
Paul names at least six false teachers that the church should watch out for.
So, I infer from Jesus and Paul and Luke and John that false teaching and destructive behavior are present dangers in this fallen world for the church. And all of us - especially shepherds, pastors - should be alert and discerning to identify and, in appropriate ways, expose. In order to protect the flock, we should expose them and minimize the spread of the gangrene (as Paul calls it).
Philippians 1:9 states; "And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all JUDGMENT;
Here I believe Judgment is speaking of discernment.
Part 1.
Something to notice about 1 John 2 and 1 John 4. In 1 John when you study it carefully, you see John using the contrast of loving your brother "which is hating your brother" to illustrate the heart of nonbelievers who "say" they love God. John is saying if you don't love your brother, you don't love God!
Look at verse 2. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
It all begins in Bethlehem! Christ was born in Bethlehem. It's the incarnation is where we begin!
Calvary and the Garden tomb are meaningless unless he is who he claims to be. God in the flesh! 1 Timothy 3:16.
One way you can determine the false teacher is he will deny the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ and behind this doctrine and the lack of the Spirit, he will have no love for the Brothern. This is the Spirit of the Antichrist.
John has much to say about the deity of Christ. John 1:1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us...
1 John he has a lot to say about the Antichrist in the world.
These false teachers appeals to the flesh! We have the Spirit of Christ which protects us.
Verse 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. These false teachers intellectually appeal to the world through their fleshly minds.
Verse 5. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
God's children "WILL" respond to God's word.
Verse 7, Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
John having given a warning of false teachers, John returns to the theme of this section.
Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil./And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.(vv.1-2)
'Then' refers to the descent of the Spirit in the form of a dove in the preceding passage.(3:16) Lucan gospel informs us that Jesus was tempted for forty days of the devil.. St Matthew lays emphasis on the manner the tempter would try to trip him up. Mark merely mentions it as matter-of-factly as a anecdote. "And immediately the spirit driveth him into the wilderness./And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him".( Mark 1:12-13). John left it out altogether. Before we go on with his ministry we present the four gospels relate to one another inextricably as the Logos aspect of the Son of man is bound with God which was with the Word. The "Word was God" ( John 1:1)
The Spirit uses 40 days to indicate the sovereignty of the Word as the Son of man handled. Four refers to cardinal directions and whether east or west south or north the Word of God stood on a firm foundation."Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his."(2 Ti.2:19) In the case of Jesus in his humanity needed preparation so he was led by the Spirit during 40 days (4x10). Before he began his ministry the same number of days as well as he was seen for 40 days by his disciples in his risen body. In short the number lays down it as a tag and applies to anyone who is taken into service. The life of Moses is tagged likewise."And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments." (Ex.34:28) Before Moses could serve the nation the number serves as a diploma of having been found adequate to serve. It is thus the Spirit led Jesus into wilderness.
Here we shall consider the topics he as a messenger from God would introduce so the ministry of Jesus developed and laid out as doctrine. Jesus announced "My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me." ( John 7:16-17) As the Person specific this doctrine was in his authority to lay down. As the visible image he and his Father were one. So only way to learn of it was to do his Will. Where does that place John the Baptist. As his voice preparing a highway to Zion! "No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him."( John 1:18)
Topic #1 Stone
"that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham."
Without faith Israel delude themselves to claim their lineage to Patriarch Abraham. New Jerusalem was founded on a sure foundation and their claims as God's chosen was consequently a self deception.
#2 Tree of life
"And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees." His message, "every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire," resonates with parables of Jesus and of being branches to the true vine. Jesus also spoke of being planted by God. "Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up."(15:13)
Evangelist brings them together at Jordan, "Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him."
What is Jordan but the river of time beginning at Ge.1:6-7? God sends his blessing after the creation of man.
#3 Fire
"he (Messiah) shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:/ Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."(vv.11-12)
Jesus also referred towards the end of ministry, " But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!" ( Luke 12:50)
Dors not cancel what Jesus said or what Paul says to sin no more. 1st John 1:8 is not at all saying "if we say we have no sin that we commit everyday we deceive ourselves. 1st John 1:8 is referring to 1st John 1:3-4 writing to people how to have fellowship with John to be called a Christian and not a sinner any more as all sin is of the devil period 1st John 3:8. When we come to Christ we where all sinners as all has come short of the glory of God Romans 3:23. John is giving out the plan of salvation how to be saved.
All means all not just one or two things in your life. Jesus never died for one sin or two things he died so all sin can be washed forgiven and forgotten.
Get out of get into verse 9 to confess your sin. If you want to be in verse 8 be my guess, you are going to roast, you are going to burn. Verse 9 tells me he is just and able to forgive all sin and NOT just not one or two things.
1st John 1:9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
[10] If we say that we have not sinn((ed)), we make him a liar, and his word is not in us
According to the bible in 1st John 1:6, you are the liar as you claim salvation, you claim fellowship to be a brother of Jesus Christ, and yet you are still walking like the devil hand in hand with him. Obviously, you were told a lie believing you are walking with Jesus when in reality you are walking with the devil in sin.
1st John 1:6] If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness,((sin)) we lie, and do not the truth:
[7] But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
We are to be dead unto sin once Romans 6:10-12. Jesus died unto sin once and not over and over to sin and repent as you are calling Jesus a liar and putting him to an open shame. No sinner can make heaven no matter how you slice it as all sin is of the devil.
Part 2
Romans 8:14
God bless.
John 1:

When I repent and confess my sins to HIM, HE is faithful and just to forgive me, and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
When I walk in the Spirit; it will keep me from sin. Galatians 5:16
Thank YOU LORD JESUS for the joy of serving YOU.
Merry Christmas to all, and a prosperous New Year.
GOD to shine HIS blessed face on all who read, pray, and follow HIS precepts and commandments.
December 21, 2023
MORE TO COME
A primer on the significance of the Numbers may be in order.
Amen
Amen

Huge thread of Bible verses:

It's interesting that you have Yehvh, lhym, and dn 'dn being represented as the same individual in these passages and if you add Mark 1:1-4 Matthew 3:3 and John 1:14-29.
Jesus showed up as a member of the Elohim.

God was manifest in Jesus, John 12:49 John 14:10.
All authority has been given to Jesus by the Father until the last enemy, death is put under His feet, 1 Corinthians 15:25-28 Revelation 20:14.
May our discussion inspire study.
God bless,

What does the Word of GOD say?
Be careful and get ready

You commented Ecclesiastes 9:3-5
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! GOD to shine HIS glorious face on you and your family. GOD bless Jerusalem and their need to call and recognize the LORD JESUS CHRIST as their Messiah.
"The angel of the LORD encampeth around about them that fear HIM, and delivereth them. Psalm 34:7
November 20, 2023
To avoid them, you have to know who they are. You can't avoid somebody if you don't know who they are. This idea of identifying and avoiding shows up in
1 Corinthians 5:11;
2 Thessalonians 3:6,
2 Thessalonians 3:14;
2 Timothy 3:5;
AVOID, REBUKE, AND CALL OUT.
God bless
See Part 2.
