"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." By the Word spoken by God the heavens and the earth and all things in them came into being. By the Word spoken by God, when the man sinned and thereby condemned to death, the Saviour of the world was commissioned to undo the ruin and all its causes, by His taking that condemnation upon Himself for us: and so it was!

John's writings are unmistakable. He writes in a "Universal" manner, seeing the whole of creation and our places in it. His burden was love, His Lord was Jesus. Would that could be said of us. John writes of John Baptist, who he calls a man sent from God. John the Baptist denied being Elijah, but Jesus said he was ( Matt 11:14). John was the living end of the law. Matt 11:13, Luke 16:16.

Peter God is not some cosmic consciousness and he is not impersonal he dwells among us, he walked with Adam in the garden, in the old testament he spoke to men and appeared to them in many forms. He is three persons in one Father, Son, Holy Spirit he has so many attributes I don't have room to list them all, he sent his son to die for the sins of the whole world, he took the punishment we deserve

Dear Peter; There are many voices in the world, and many ministers of Satan, lusting to be known as some great one; falsely foretelling and pronouncing things, about which they have NO KNOWLEDGE! God Almighty, The Eternal Author of Life and Creator of all things is an Eternal Living Person. The heathen in his Satan-inspired rage against God imagines all kinds of worthless falsehood. FEAR THEM NOT!

John1 for me is a deep book with extra ordinary deep insights.I was trying to relate it to a theory floating on the internet of the universal consciousness whose contention is that God is impersonal rather he is this cosmic mind that leaks our consciousness into our personalities upon birth?? The argument sounds so concise and logical - that why i write for some help because my faith's intimidated

Jesus is the Word of God when God speaks Jesus is there when God forms his thoughts Jesus is there out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh this is the image in which we were made the dirt God formed is just a vessel to house the image When you speak are the words that come out not part of you, you can not separate you from your words they are apart of you they were always with you

Jesus is the SON of GOD. He is known as the son of man because of His flesh. He is GOD and a man.
  • A disciple on John 1 - 6 years ago
Hi Kevin; Jesus is called the Son of God because He was divinely implanted in the womb of the virgin, when the Power of the Highest overshadowed her. Jesus is also called the Son of man because He came in the flesh. And His name shall be called, Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace; King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and ther Judge of all the earth.
  • Ann on John 1 - 6 years ago
The Son of man is our LORD Jesus Christ, when he dwelt on earth. Son of man is mentioned 196 times in the pure KJV bible. Here are a couple of scriptures to read. Luke 22:69 - Luke 24:7

John 1:51 If Jesus is the Son of God then who is the Son of man?
  • Ladonna Pie on John 1 - 7 years ago
Yes He did create all things, but He did have a special people. Not all Abraham's seed received that promise, It ended with Jacob's linage the line Jesus came through. Remember He came to save the Jew first, then the gentiles

"For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ." The word, 'but' was added for English translation: the whole sentence in its intended context does not need any 'and' or 'but;' which forces a suggestion of competition or of the failure of the first; which it was not! The Law was our commandments from God how to live. The heart right with God has access to His grace!
  • A disciple on John 1 - 7 years ago
"For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ." God spoke to Moses face to face, and mouth to mouth, like a man would talk with his friend; because Moses was the meekest of all men on earth, and one in whom God trusted with His friendship; and therefore able to make His Laws for teaching men how to live, how to think and believe, and how to be accepted and blessed.

Verse 46: This verse shows that Nathanael showed some prejudice against those from Nazareth. Jesus looked beyond this flaw and invited him to become his disciple.

Sin is the Trangression of the Law,But them that are born of God cannot sin which is our new innerman that is BORN OF GOD,IT IS HE JOHN IS REFERING TO THAT CANNOT SIN,BUT JESUS SAYS HE CAME TO FULFILL THE LAW,HIS DEATH IS GONNA RESULT IN HIM BEING MULTIPLIED IN HUMANITY,WHEN A SEED DIES IT MULTIPLIES THATS HOW HE WILL FULFILL THE LAW BY MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SIN,DESTROYING MANS PROPENSITY TO SIN

John Brown III:1 John 1:9King James Version (KJV)

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

God loves you, brother and wants you to confess so He can forgive. It's what He does best!!

John; The Lord Jesus has been seeking and searching for you, and is calling you to return. Don't wait for feelings or for someone to come and take you by the hand; you know what you have to do! Get up right now, and find a private place where you can pray and seek forgiveness and reconciliation and acceptance to be restored! Open your Bible and start again brand new; NO MORE PLAYING WITH SIN!

Steve; John saw the Father sitting on the throne in Revelation; and the Lord Jesus HAS appeared to many through the ages; but it is generally not regarded, not believed, and evil spoken of; so its only known (if at all) in the smaller circles of the true Believers everywhere. If we've actually seen the Lord or audibly heard His voice, we know that it is a most holy thing not meant to glorify self.

No one has ever seen the Father but Jesus. Has anyone out there seen Jesus? In November of 2008 around 5pm, Our Lord Jesus appeared with His heavenly host to me when I was very sick. He did not speak, but smiled to me. In my 69 years of life, the few minutes spent with Him, is the high point of my life. Never really understood why He blessed a sinner like me so wonderfully. Jesus is alive!!

This book of John is History in the making for the Gentiles and Jews, so being a Gentile (actually an American of German and Latino Parents) now I am grateful the Lord Jesus Christ died for me that I might live and for anyone who believes in His Word of Life and Light.

John believe and committed to every word of God.

  • George C on John 1 - 7 years ago
John 1:18 Says that no man has seen God only the Son. This seems to state that not even Moses saw God. Moses may have been speaking to Jesus The Word mediator, the real voice of Jehovah . He is the only begotten Son of God. And according to John 1:3 He Jesus created all things. Isaiah 9:6 Jesus is the everlasting Father. Only Jesus Christ and Jehovah Holly Spirit the share the same essence.

4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD JEHOVAH' our God is one LORD: GOD is not a trinity. The Bible never mentions that word. That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth. 6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. Isaiah 45 6

Thank you Rene! It seems very terrible to me how with the times so bad, and the end of all things being literally "at hand;" that so many still set themselves to defiantly oppose and contradict, and carry on as if they weren't about to stand before the Judge! "Then truly by there fruits you shall know them." Let us all the more hold fast to Jesus and His Words and wholly follow Him no matter what!
