The Holy Ghost is also the spirit of truth John 14 verse 17 Even the Spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him but ye know him for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. John 15 verse 26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me John 16 verse 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth for he shall not speak of himself but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak and he will shew you things to come.

It definitely seems as though the Holy Spirit intends to convey some deeper truth by repeating that Jesus was with God in the beginning but,as of now I have no clue what that deeper truth could be.

Hello Mark The Holy Ghost is the spirit of God which is our comforter and teacher. Therefore, it speaks nothing but the truth that is written in the word of God. John 14 26 " But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on John 1 - 10 years ago
Hello Evans Osifo The Bible states the following about truth John 17 17 Sanctify them through thy truth thy word is truth. I would like to clarify. This scripture does not say that some of the Bible is truth and other parts of it are not. This states that thy word is truth . This means every word in the word of God is truth. John 1 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ . Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh, 1 Timothy 3 26. The other truth is that in order to be saved, truly saved, you must follow Acts 2 38. For this is the promise to everyone. If a person does not have Acts 2 38 and live a saved life then that person will not depart when the rapture takes place.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on John 1 - 10 years ago
Hello Mark Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh, 1 Timothy 3 16. Whether you believe it or not it still will not change the truth. It still does not change what it takes to be saved. It still does not stop the rapture or the tribulation from coming. My advice to you and to everyone that is not saved according to Acts 2 38 get saved and stay saved. You have to ask yourself this question, "Do I want to spend an eternity in Heaven or in Hell?
  • Mark on John 1 - 10 years ago
I do not see god claiming flesh as his son, the bible speaks against the flesh and its desires
  • Mark on John 1 - 10 years ago
I am a father I am a son I am a brother, I am a father only because my son exists as a separate being otherwise I could not claim myself to be a father, I am a son only because I exist as a separate being from my father otherwise I could not claim to be a son, I am a brother only because I exist as a separate being from my fathers other son otherwise I could not claim to be a brother

Part 2 of 2 The reason Jesus Christ was baptized was to fulfill prophesy and to be our example. That the actually submerging in water is right, not sprinkling. Matthew 3 13 thru 15. When he did this the heavens opened up and the Spirit of God descended. This was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah 11 1 thru 3. The Spirit of the Lord needs to come and rest on the Messiah to fulfill this prophecy. It had to be John the Baptist to do this because it was spoken of in Isaiah 40 3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God . Jesus Christ was God manifested in the flesh 1 Timothy 3 16 and John 1 14. Verse 15 further validates that this same John that is spoken of here is the same one that was spoken of in Isaiah.

Part 1 of 2 Hello Mark Actually the word remission means the cancellation of a debt, charge, or penalty. It also means forgiveness of sins, pardon, absolution, exoneration. So when you are baptized for the remission of sins you are pardon. However, it does not stop there. You have to repeat, to turn away from those sins and surrender to God ways. Also ask him earnestly for the Holy Ghost. In Jeremiah 31 31 thru 34 he is speaking of Acts 2 38. He will remember your sin no more after you have followed Acts 2 38.
  • Mark on John 1 - 10 years ago
Would it be correct to say that remission is not the same as forgiveness? Remission by definition is to stop, arrest, we hear all the time that cancer is in remission. To be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ would be to stop the sin, Repent by definition is to turn away, We have John saying repent which is turn away, We have Peter saying to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for remission of sin, both of which is referring to turn away and stop sin.
  • Mark on John 1 - 10 years ago
Why was Jesus baptized? He was sinless, He had no need to be baptized for the remission of sin, He had no sin to remiss, Why was Jesus baptized?

Part 4 of 4 Matthew 26 41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Due to this scripture we understand why the body was talking to the deity. I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God as well as he is God manifested in the flesh. Another reason he is called the son of God is because he came by way of a woman and half of his makeup was human. As a human Jesus slept. As God he never sleeps. As a human he humbled himself to the cross. As God he could have destroyed everything and everybody. As a human or the son he nursed the breast of Mary. As God he made the milk that he nursed. In the end, it is a mystery, but Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh, 1 Timothy 3 16.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on John 1 - 10 years ago
Part 3 of 4 The body is made up of body, soul, and spirit. When you read Verse 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men You have to ask yourself who was made in the likeness of men? Jesus Christ who was God manifested in the flesh, John 1 14. If I can say it like this, the flesh understanding his role humbly surrendered to the deity inside to go all the way to the cross, Philippians 2 8. See this is why the flesh screamed out to the deity why have thou forsaken me. The flesh did not want to be hurt. The flesh did not want to suffer. The deity inside knew that this had to be done. Part 4 of 4 Matthew 26 41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation the spirit indeed

Part 2 of 4 Those that are going to hell will have bodies also that cannot be destroyed because they are going to be in hell for a time and then in the lake of fire forever and ever. When you think about it like this then Jesus Christ body, the flesh was called son but the soul or the deity of God was dwelling on the inside. When you look at that scripture more closely it states, Philippians 2 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God God appeared in many forms in the past. However, being in his fleshly form naturally he the flesh would not think it robbery to be equal with God. We are talking about the flesh.

Part 1 of 4 Hello Mark Taking a step in the right direction is a great thing to do. Find a church that believes in being baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remissions of sins. A church that believes in Acts 2 38 to the fullness. I will pray that God will continue to open up your understanding. People cannot separate the body from the spirit and the soul. See these fleshly houses in which we dwell in will be destroyed. The flesh after death will deteriorate. The blood pours out or is taken out by the undertaker. What are usually left of a person after death are their bones. You have to ask yourself what continues to live. The answer is the soul of man. Flesh and blood as we know it will not enter into the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 15 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Light means the ability to cause the truth of God 's word, gain a physical form. That was what Jesus did for us. He took the things that were mere promises to us and made them manifest so all men could see it.
  • Mark on John 1 - 10 years ago
It is starting to make sense to me to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ after all, he is the sacrifice, he is the door the only way unto God, It would honor him, as far as Jesus being God I 'm not so sure about that, I see him as equal with God as in Philippians Ch 2, 5 and 6, 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on John 1 - 10 years ago
Hello Mark Yes, that is what this means. You have to understand that Jesus taught and talked about past, present, future, and in parables. Because Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh he is Omniscient. He knows all things. If you read in John 4 23 24 you will see that Jesus is talking about the future people of God those who will be filled with the Holy Ghost. The scripture reads as the following John 4 23 24 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth . In order to be called a true worshipper of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ you have to follow Acts 2 38. You have to have the correct water baptism.
  • Mark on John 1 - 10 years ago
to worship him him in spirit and in truth, Does that mean to worship him in the Holy Ghost?

Hello Gaz Jehovah is a name that God held in the Old Testament. Jesus Christ declared the name of the father when he stated that he came in his father s name, John 5 43. There were many versions of Jehovah, depending on the situation or circumstances in which the name was used to show God in that capacity. Jehovah Jireh means the Lord will Provide. Jehohovah Nissi means the Lord my Banner. Jehovah Shalom means the Lord send peace. Jehovah Shammah means The Lord is There. Jehovah Tsidkenu means The Lord our Righteousness. However, Jesus Christ stated that he and his father are one. The scriptures further stated that Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh. So his true name the name that was given at birth, the name that was hidden throughout time Old Testament is Jesus Christ. This is the name in which to call on for salvation, Acts 4 12 Neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved . It is alright to know all of the other names that God held, but we under this Dispensation of Grace, only need to call on the name of Jesus Christ for everything we need.

Hello Mark John 4 24 God is a Spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. When you think about it this flesh and blood in which we have will not enter into the kingdom of Heaven. These bodies in which we dwell in will be changed in the moment in the twinkling of an eye, 1 Corinthians 15 52. There are two types of bodies celestial bodies and bodies terrestrial, 1 Corinthians 15 40. The celestial bodies are heavenly bodies. The terrestrial bodies are that of the Earth. We are terrestrial bodies, earthly houses. When the rapture takes place these bodies will be changed from flesh to spiritual. The bodies will be made to live forever. We will still have form but yet be spiritual. We do not know what we will be but we know that we will be like him, 1 John 3 2. Did they not recognize Jesus Christ after he rose before he ascended up into heaven? There will be no marriage in heaven we will be like the angels, Mark 12 25. In the end, being a spirit does not necessarily mean that you have no form does it? This is God we are talking about. He is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient. He can do anything. If he says his spiritual body has form a face, body, back, arms, legs etc., so be it.
  • Mark on John 1 - 10 years ago
I consider the Holy Ghost to be in the form of spirit and not have physical form.
  • Mark on John 1 - 10 years ago
It is my understanding that God had physical form prior to Jesus Exodus 33 20 through 23 20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face for there shall no man see me, and live. 21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock 22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by 23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts but my face shall not be seen. It is my understanding that God considers himself to have a face, hands and back parts all prior to Jesus.

Hello Mark No, God was in his spirit form in the beginning. It is predicted in Genesis 3 15 then Jesus Christ was coming. That he would come through a woman. The flesh would be his son and he would dwell on the inside of him. It is a mystery, but it is still the truth, 1 Timothy 3 16. Even the scripture that Trinitarians quote at the very end of that scripture it states that "these three are one ". This means that all three are one being, 1 John 5 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost and these three are one. There is not three people in the godhead bodily. Jesus Christ does not dwell with two other people in the Godhead. He dwells there alone with all the fullness of the Godhead bodily in him. Colossians 2 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
  • Mark on John 1 - 10 years ago
The mystery of God explains it all, It is not given to us to understand. Matthew 13,11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. The oneness understands, It is given to them to understand the "correct " way to be saved, if we do not follow the correct procedure then we are not saved, according to the oneness,
  • Mark on John 1 - 10 years ago
I was simply asking a question, The information has been presented that Jesus was in the beginning and everything was made by him, I ask was Jesus in the flesh in the beginning when everything was made by him? If so, what happened to the flesh when he was conceived of Mary? Did he grow a new flesh? Is it God 's character to inhabit a flesh get rid of that flesh and inhabit a new flesh? In the beginning, was Jesus in the flesh or spirit? If Jesus was in the beginning then how did he exist? in flesh as we know him to be today?
  • Kam on John 1 - 10 years ago
It used irritate me those days when Christians say Jesus is God. I was a Muslem then. God revealed to me in the book of John that Jesus Christ is God. That revelation will reveal that to you immediately you begin to fall in love with Jesus. Jesus is a mystry, Him and the Father are One. He can be in the Father and He can also be seperated from the Father. The Father love Him so much and gives Him the right be in His possition. The Father is higher the Jesus, but He gives Jesus the right to be equal with Him and bear His name. Though the Father gives Him the right, the Father still give Him command. Jesus is very obedient to the Father. Jesus created the world and everything that is created. The Father gave Him that order. And the Father has commited all judgment to His hand.
