Yes Jesus was a man who was touched in everyway of the temptations of the flesh yet with out sin. For he always did those things which pleased his father. Made a little lower than the angles , through obedience was made perfect and became the Author of salvation .

    @ Mark's John Chapter 1 comment on 11/20/2013, 11:13pm:

Look, how John uses the term "the word of God":

    Revelation 19;13:
"And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God."

Jesus IS the Word Of God!

The creation was conducted by the Trinity. Two main reasons for this: In Hebrew, the Word for God used in Gen 1;1 is Elohim = plural.
Also, take a look at Gen 1;26:
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness (...)"

John 1: 18 says" No man has seen God at any time".Many people saw Jesus. John 20:31 says "These have been written down that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God". Jesus was created directly by God having quality similar to those of his father. Psalms 83:18 says Jehovah is the most high. found in KJV New World Translation. Many other translations of the Bible have taken Jehovah out and replaced it with LORD.
  • Arthurs Comment on 1 John 1:9 - 11 years ago
1 John 1:9 was written to Gnostics teachers who had infiltrated their ranks and John was addressing them. It was not written to believers.

Consider this: In the old testament, the Hebrews confess their sins to have their sins covered for one full year under the old covenant when, under the New Covenant, many christians confess their sins daily? is not the blood of Jesus better than that of bulls and goats?
If confessing is vital to forgiveness why did not Paul, the man that God used to write thirteen different epistles, mention anything at all about confessing sins in any of them?
When you accepted The Lord Jesus Christ you were translated from darkness into the light and all your sins have been forgiven past, present and future. Alleluia thank you Jesus!!!

Who is this Jesus you ask? Is this Bible a storybook? Answer: First the Bible is not a storybook but rather a living breathing book that once you have accepted Christ as your Savior the Holy Spirit resides within you (the Comforter Jesus promised to send after His resurrection and acension to heaven)and guides you and reveals the scriptures to you. It is the only book that the author is present each time you read it and reveals more and more to you as you grow in your daily life with Jesus who is the Christ. Second: Jesus is the only begotten Son of God full of grace and truth ( John 3:16-17) who came to die for us and pay the sin debt He did not owe for us who could not pay the debt of sin we owed. How marvelous to know and understand that the Holy God of heaven and earth and all there is was willing to do such a thing! Romans 3:23 gives us the state we are born into but John 3:16 and 1 John 1:9 are two of many verses that tells us how to come to Jesus to accept the free gift of salvation. Jesus is the way the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father except through Him. Keep searching the scriptures and pray God to reveal the truth to you and you will see who this Jesus is and how wonderful it is to have Him in your heart and part of your life.

Another verse Trinitains cant explain. According to this verse the other 2 gods are not equal. And they willtry to change the meaning of "only". Yes, this is true. At John 1:18 they try to expain the word "any" as something differant than what is written.

I don't understand his ways but I know that he is doing it for my good. Sometimes it's hard to understand when you are going thru so much pain and it seems like it's never going to end. Every time you turn around the person that you thought was your friend or family turns out to be your enemy. I know that he is the beginning and the ending but I get very confused when I talk to him and he doesn't answer my prayers. I know that he gave his only son to suffer for our sins but why must I continue to suffer and see no results for my suffering. I hope one day he can answer some of my prayers because I'm getting tired of living anymore.

even in Jesus day there was much false doctrine,we must study the word of God,because there's just one way, the Holy Spirit does the teaching,he will reveal false doctrine, the most important teaching of all is salvation, Romans 3:23, 5:12,6:23,10:9,10,13. John 1:12, Acts2:41

2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Building your house is a function of wisdom whether you are a man or a woman. As a matter of fact you can't build anything without some measure of wisdom- and when it comes to the issue of houses or, homes, where there are couples, then of a necessity, the Word of God and dependency on it becomes absolutely important. This particular Scripture, Proverbs 14:1, refers to every wise woman, and therefore it has element of prophesy upon it- and hence it is only for he that believeth. ( John 1:12). However, something about this, is that it won’t happen in a day, neither would it happen in a month or, in a year; for it is a journey of life- and hence a marathon; for the just shall live by faith.( Romans 1:16,17). It demands continual obedience to the law of love. The interesting aspect of it is that, God has committed Himself through His Son Jesus Christ of Nazareth to be a shield and a buckler to whosoever dare to trust and honour Him; for great and worthy is He- and His name is holy.

Would it be safe to say that Jesus did not exist at the time of creation? Would it be safe to say that it was God and his word that created the beginning?

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 The same was in the begining with God.
John 1:3 All things were made by Him; and without him was nothing made that was made.
John 1:4 In Him was life; and life was the light of men.....
we continue to John 1:14 And the word was made flesh, and dewlt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

This explains the beginning. The creation of Good over evil. Think of your mind and your conscience

@Mark...Isaiah prophesied in Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
It appears from both of these scriptures the Word was made flesh at the time of the birth of Christ.
  • Timothy Wayne George on Psalms 51:17 - 11 years ago
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, and a contrite heart O God thou will not despise. David had accepted the fact that God does not delight in our sacrifices, and burnt offerings. Rather God wants us to be broken over our sin, and have a contrite heart. David had fasted and prayed over the child that was born from the adulterous affair, and God despite that took the child. David then said I must go to him, and we know the child was in heaven with the Father. So children that die go to heaven. That includes all those aborted fetuses, because to God birth begins at inception. Yes God will forgive all those mothers who committed this sin, and with a broken and contrite heart, God will restore the joy of their salvation. As David prayed create in me a clean heart O God, and renew a steadfast spirit in me. As far as the east is from the west, has God cast our sins from us. He buries them in the Ocean, and does not remember them any more. Let the Lord do a new work in your life, and know that if anyone be in Christ, he/she is a new creature. All things are passed away, and all thing are become new. I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just, He will forgive our sin, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. This promise is to all who have put their faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ upon the cross. Jesus who knew no sin, became sin for us, so that we could be clothed in the righteousness of Christ. We are then justified with God, and the Church. Those who walk in the Light as God is Light, will have fellowship with the Father, and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. We know longer have the guilt of our past sins, for they are nailed to the cross. May the Lord bless you richly.

People's Bible Notes for John 1:35

Joh 1:35 Again the next day after. In John, the account is given of the visit of the priests and Levites, sent by the Sanhedrin to John. "The next day" after this, John sees Jesus and points him out as the Lamb of God, giving a discourse of which, in Joh 1:19-34, we have a synopsis. On the "next day" after this, the third day after the deputation of the Sanhedrin, and the second after the return of Jesus from the wilderness, John stood, and two of his disciples. One of these two, we learn from Joh 1:40, was Andrew; the other, we have reason to believe, was John, the apostle.

Why does it seem like after Jesus's baptism, the next day he met 2 of his disciples?... and
where do you get that it implies or infers that
He had already been to the wilderness... why didn't he (or should I say John the Baptist mention the temptations)... or can we say that being taken up "in the spirit" put you in the
"Eternal Now" and that 40 literal days did not pass?...

    Thanks and God Bless,

    Thomas
