V16, God loves everyone, He sent his only Son into the world to die for us All.
We are all sinners and the Lord wants to save us All.
We have an Perfect, Holy and Loving God.
We can all have Everlasting Life if we Believe.

1 John 3:9, He that doth not commit sin is born of God, for his seed remaineth in him and he cannot sin because he is born of God. 1 John 5:18, We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not. But he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one touched him not. And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. Pretty plain.

Ray 321, if you are continuously sinning, you are still a sinner, not saved by grace. 1 John 3:6, Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not, Whosoever sinneth, hath not seen neither known Him. V. 8, He that commith sin is of the devil, for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifest, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

V2, “And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
John 1:5 . Nicodemus is a chief Pharisee seeking the Son of man, King to be crowned as ruler of the world. Nicodemus could not understand earthly things, that Jesus is not a king that gains power on a battlefield. He also can not understand spiritual things, that the powers Jesus has are from God because he is Gods Son.

People assume Nicodemus was born again and converted. Nicodemus was a seeker of truth but it does not say he stopped being a Pharisee. V12 Jesus is saying no matter what I say, you are not going to understand. Nicodemus was seeking the Jewish Christ, son of Abraham and because of Miracles he thought Jesus might be the Jewish king that would rule the world. He does not think Jesus is Son of God.

Verse 18: True Love is burden bearing( John 3:16, Galatians 6:2) and it is never convenient most times. If you wait until it is convenient for you before attending to the plights of all men( believers and heathens) you may miss out on the call of Love and/or God.

This may seem like a very simple answer but that's the beauty of God, He made this thing so simple we don't need a degree to understand who God is. This is a most-instructive chapter which ends in verse 36 as "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." We have a choice- believe on our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and have everlasting life or disbelieve and end up in perdition. For me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

To say " 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is the gospel that saves; not John 3:16", is silly.They mean the same thing.When Paul said "my gospel" it is because in Christ;Christ's gospel is Paul's gospel.Paul taught what Jesus taught, plus things that God inspired him to live and teach. Yes, learning from Paul and living out his gospel saves, a state that is progressive. His gospel belongs to the body of Christ

God so loved the world ( John 3:16);He died for all men,in that sense all men are equal. All will be in front of the judgement seat, all will give account for what he has done in the body, whether it be good or bad. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. The moment Saul was converted to Paul, he became the only Apostle to us, Gentiles. Remember that all of Paul's writings was Jesus/the Holy Spirit speaking to us, not Paul himself. Since the mysteries of our Salvation was given only the Paul, he became after Jesus, the second greatest man to walk the earth. 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 is the Gospel that saves, not John 3:16. Word,I have given more thought to your comment about the trees. John 3:8 "For the devil sinneth from the beginning"You said Satan IS the tree of knowledge of good and evil. When does Satan do good? In the garden; if Eve did NOT eat (as you claim) fruit of the tree of knowlege good and evil, of which God told her not to do.What was the deception that Eve succumbed to that caused our sinful state?

Dilu, God hates the workers of iniquity; plain English, is it not? Psalm 5:5. Yet, God so loved the world; John 3:16. Some people cannot grasp the truth that God hates people. This "hate" should cause you to Fear him. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Bruce,I see the problem,I hope this puts an end to it.Christ dwells in the saved person,as scripture you quoted tells us.But you said Christ is "born" in me. I don't know any scripture that says it. John 3:3;a person cannot enter God's kingdom unless he is reborn,so this makes salvation very important.But I still say the exact date a person is saved is not important,endure til the end, is.

Hello, I am curious about the symbol in verse 16... have always taken it to stand for "the" as in the KJV STANDARD, but PREFER more clarity. For me... this verse STANDS as the HEART of MY being.

It is possible for a believer to walk in flesh after getting saved, the bible says we must desire the sincere milk of the word.

Judeth - Maybe salvation is only for the Jews but 1st John 2:2 says that God has included the whole world in His salvation plan. Jesus has died to take away the sins of the whole world. The implication is that whosoever believes in Jesus Christ will not perish but have everlasting life. That is salvation. John 3:16

vs. 14 - 15; the brazen serpent; in order for it to heal them of the snake bites (sin) they had to have FAITH; just as looking to Jesus sacrifice on the cross we have to have faith that it will remit our sins.
