this verse tells the believers what is love and how to love and whom to love. so we should love to GOD with all power, whole body, soul & spirit.

  • Ina on John 3:16 - 11 years ago
Nelson asked who resurrected Jesus. Romans 8 tellls us the same Spirit (Holy Spirit) that raised Christ from the dead will quicken our mortal bodies. The 3rd member of the Trinity raised Jesus from the dead

Man is self-centered and does not want to know the One true God or His son Jesus. Man's heart is fixed on the things of this world and not on the things of God or heaven.

In answer to Keith's question about what happens to babies or to people who are not baptized... it is my belief that the scripture means being born of water and of spirit meaning your natural birth and than your spiritual rebirth as a born-again Christian. Although being baptized is an outward sign to others of your dedication and of washing away the old man and coming back out as the new man, I don't share the belief that being baptized is a requirement to salvation. Look at the thief hanging on the cross. The Lord tells him that he would be with him that day in paradise...there definitely was no time to come off the cross and baptize the man, however the thief believed in Him and he was saved.

(My comment to Lopez garvens): your still in the flesh because your even now claiming it... John 6:63, it's the Spirit that gives Life, the flesh counts for nothing, John 5-30, Jesus: In the flesh I can do nothing, as I hear... John 3:8, those born of the Spirit, it is like the wind. Right after Jesus recieved The Spirit like a dove descending on Him, it's states right after that He Was (led), into the desert for 40 days, The Holy Spirit takes you to places you do not want to go...that's the proof were not in the flesh, he didn't go into the desert for 40 days to find a Starbucks... As he hears... In the flesh, like Jesus, He was told by The Spirit to go, so He went, we choose to live in our flesh. You want evidence your not in the flesh, be willing to go where the Holy Spirit tells you, the same is for me, you, even Jesus...
  • Keith on John 3 - 11 years ago
If man cannot enter the Kingdom of God without having been born of water and of the spirit, what becomes of those that believe yet die before they are baptized? Or to a baby that dies without having been baptized.
  • Moses Kay Turay on John 3:3 - 11 years ago
When Jesus said, a man be born again it doesnt mean we should go back to our mothers womb and be born again. Born again mean, we must ascept His invitation and live a Christian life. Is also similar to the word Repent; and be an example to other Christian
  • Dale Hansen on John 3:16 - 11 years ago
I am still trying to understand and grasp the wording in the Bible. I do believe in Jesus and I do believe he died on the cross for our sins. John 3:16 is the way for all to see him and he is there for us. I repent for all my sins and ask for foregiveness and please help me understand your word in Jesus name I pray A-men.

I am so thankful for God's only Son. That He gave all of us a way of escape. That if we can just believe, we can no longer be held bondage by Satan in Sin. For we know that the wages of sin is death; but the Gift of God {Jesus} is eternal Life through our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Robertflannery on 1 Corinthians 13:13 - 11 years ago
Chap 13 verse 13; God wants us to read and study the entire chapters of 13 and 14. God's revelation is inclusive.
(All) the verses in His word are divinely inspired. John 3:16 is a commonly used verse, but verse 17, John 3:17 completes verse 16 as does verses 18 through 21 of John chapter three!

3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease - Is lowing one's self to such a level of inexistence that Christ can shine by & through me & therefore be Gloryfied as to be a light of hope to those who's vision for life has ceased to achieve.

Jesus is yesterday, today and forever nothing can separate us from the love of God because God is good all the time and all the time He is good. Who is worthy of my life my future who is worthy to die for me...worthy is the Lamb who was crucified n the cross of calvary to receive power to bring in the world to who ever accept him as hid Lord and Saviour....Jesus is love greater then Jesus will never reject anyone that comes to Him seeking for help even those who persecute Him because he is love be born again now before is to late because Jesus loves you.
  • Ciscokid on 1 Peter 1 - 11 years ago
Verse 23 "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."

I would have to ***ume the word of God, also, means every verse in the Bible pertaining to born again salvation. All these verses would have to agree with one another, because ALL scripture is inspired of God. Therefore, ALL scripture DOES agree with one another. In other words John 3:5, Romans 10:9-10 Acts 2:38, and the rest, MUST ALL give us the same STANDARD information, pertaining to salvation or the born again experience. Unfortunately, mainstream Christianity "VERSION" of salvation is drastically different---from the version found in Acts 2:38.
scriptural reasoning--SCREAMS--THAT ALL INFORMATION PERTAINING TO SALVATION MUST absolutely be THE SAME.--IN ORDER THERE IS NO confusion>

The world needs this light because they are in total darkness. People should be allowed to shaRE THIS LIGHT.
  • Ciscokid on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Acts 2 is an account of men actually receiving NEW TESTAMENT salvation. Hello---men actually receiving NEW TESTAMENT salvation---and ENTERING the KINGDOM OF GOD>, just as Jesus mentioned in John 3:5 being born of water and spirit i.e. Acts 2:38. they WERE BAPTIZED IN
the name of Jesus. Folks can argue and debate all they want--the Apostles baptized in the NAME of Jesus. bc-- Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other NAME under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
WHY don't people WANT to understand???---SALVATION is ALL ABOUT the NAME of JESUS, it's the blood of Jesus that saves. It's that blood that saves from sin--NOT the TITLES Father Son and Holy Ghost. Father is NOT a name--it's a title. Son is not a name it's a title---a title only gives reference to a personal relationship--hello-a title only gives reference to a personal relationship-
A title is NOT a personal NAME---Jesus is the PERSONAL NAME of OUR SAVIOR. It's the ONLY name we can scripturally use in baptism.

JESUS is the only way to have eternal life.
There is no substitute for what he did on the cross. It is up to mankind to make the choice
richer or poorer, slave or free, male or female
whatever raze or color or social status.the answer is JESUS given by GOD
  • Rev. Autrey on John 3 - 11 years ago
The "we" and the "us" in this verse are God's 3 personalities or self expressions. The early church fathers thought of God as an actor wearing 3 character masks, one for the Father, one for the Son, and one for the Holy Spirit. The character mask of Jesus, then, is the way God speaks to us and saves us.

Let's state it plainly: The character an actor plays and the actor are one and the same person. This makes Jesus, as God's character, God.

This fact has been in the Bible all along, but few have understood it. But now that we do, let's not reject it. If we do our minds will remain in darkness, and we will never know God as our Savior. He is Jesus, the way God speaks to us.

  • Ciscokid on John 3 - 11 years ago
@Inyang--Where in scripture Inyang--did anyone simply "accepted" Jesus into their lives?
I know that "accepting Jesus into your heart" is the major theme in Christianity these days--but where in the scriptures can we find a PERSON who was actually saved by --- JUST-- "accepting Jesus--into their heart. Nowhere, the actual instructions HOW to receive salvation is found in Act2--A fact which is mostly ignored by the majority of Christians these days.s.

Wow, you know it amazing when I think of the Love of God in our life, and a lot of people today are still wondering if Jesus Christ is truely the Son of God. The bible talk about how God use is words to manifest the heaven & earth! In John chaper one the bible also give an account, how is own received him not well. My point is this; the same words that greated the heaven & the earth; the bible said the voice of God came walking in the garden, adam said I heard thy voice & I hid myself, I'm ashame of my nakedness after disobeying. But Out of love God still cloth them with an animal skin. that same voice that came walking in the garden is "JESUS" THE VOICE OF GOD BEEN MANIFESTED IN A HUMAN FLESH, for the remission of our sin' to take away the sin of the whole world against God: John 3:16, is saying that anybody that believed in this voice of God call Jesus shall never have anything against God for ever & ever.....make a wise choice today by accepting Jesus into your life, & be free person from the devil.........???????????tomorrow maybe to leta do it now.
  • Nelson on John 3:16 - 11 years ago
If Jesus is God's son, (the only begotten,) how could he be God except in purpose? If Jesus is God (Trinity) When Jesus died, who resurrected him?
  • GOD'S WOMAN on Revelation 13 - 11 years ago
Well Revelation is very deep and it uses many metaphoric descriptions As Well As Actual Descriptions. But I do know that IF You have repented to God and has Received Christ not only as your Savior But also Your LORD and you have Received the Holy Ghost since you claimed Salvation as Jesus said to the Priest in John 3:3, You Must Br Born Again! Of HIS SPIRIT AND NOT ONLY WATER BAPTISM. THEN YOU/I DONT NEED TO FEAR WHERE WILL SPEND ALL ETERNITY AFTER JUDGEMENT DAY. RIGHT? SELAH. Unless your righteousness exceeds that of the Pharisees; God Says You Will Not Enter Heaven. Being accepted by Church but Not entering Heaven is Scarey to think about but IS IT WORTh RUNNiNG THE RIsK OF HELL???
