On the surface it seems that Love is what we are told to do, Actually it's what we are "CAUSED" to do!! This bond is only accomplished by the Holyspirit.

Hi Jesse The only point I understand differently is I don't see in scripture spirit of God being the soul of man, I see in scripture God created man after His Image which is spirit John 4:24 and that's what he lost in genesis, His spiritual connection after that he still had life [soul life breathe life] and a body which is what kept him alive but no connection to God. Also throughout old testament men had this spirit of God upon them but not in them, which is why David told God take not thy Holy Spirit from me. At pentecost it was given internally not to be lost hence born again rebirth By God through Believing in what Jesus Christ made available. I can give many more scripture references on this topic. Division between non believers is expected, That's what truth does,

He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

But amongst the Brothern you're bonded together by Love, It's the spirit that causes this, "By this WE KNOW that he's in us and we in him, When one hates the Brothern, then the spirit is not in him, and if you have not the Spirit of Christ then you are none of his. There are people that claims to be Christian that absolutely "HATES" people who don't hold there views.

And that's because they're void of the spirit that produces this precious fruit.

Hi Karen First there is no comparison of God Almighties power in relationship to satans. In Gospel of Luke 11:20 Jesus Christ uses a figure of speech saying if I with the finger of God sort of like flicking an ant off your body no effort, cast out devils. Biblically Gabriel is a messenger for God Daniel 8:16 + 9:21 also Luke 1:19 + 1:26. Michael is for the most part a warrior Daniel 10:13+21 + 12:1 also Jude 9 and Rev.12:7.

Now karen that being said here's a few other references to other angels and what they were sent to do Mathew 4:11 angels were sent to minister to Jesus Christ after being tempted, angels were sent to sodom and gomorrah to get lot and His wife and daughters out of town with specific instructions to obey. so angels are messengers or agents sent by God to do His Work for man .

My favorite example is Hebrews 1:11 ministering spirits sent forth to minster for them who shall be heirs of salvation. So the battle is between the true God and His messengers and satan and His messengers, both sides have them. In His Service

Micheal, God can not die He is a Spirit, "God is a Spirit and they that worship him,,," John 4:24, however the form that he took, the flesh , the body can and did and yes it was the Spirit that raised that body out of the grave. The word torment used in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus is the Greek word BASANOIS. The meaning from Greek to English would pretty much be the same as what we would understand torment to be. Whether it is mental anguish or physical torment, I think it can be both. It seemed to be both for the rich man. He seemed to be in a state of mental torment knowing that his family members (brothers) would soon be in this same place unless someone went to warn them. We also know that he was in physical torment, wanting the tip of his tongue to be cooled. Can you imagine that? Here is a man in physical torment and all he asks is for the tip of his tongue to be cooled. He didn't ask for someone to throw him a rope so he could get out!

We also know that there is a place of eternal torment called the lake of fire. To tell you how the word torment is used in other verses would take a tremendous amount of time and space. That's a huge favor. I don't mind sharing my understanding with you but I'm not sure I want to tackle that one. The short answer is that the word torment means pretty much the same in English as it does in Greek.

For the rich man in Hades, he's still in torment. One day he will be released, judged at the Great White Throne Judgement, and then cast into the lake of fire, a place of eternal torment.

That being shown when a born again person falls asleep in Christ His holy Spirit goes back to God he takes his last breath soul life and body goes back to dust. The part of man that died in genesis he lost His Spiritual connection, big time not good, bought back by Jesus Christ. When we fall asleep in Christ the spirit goes back to where it came from you take your last breath soul life and your body goes to dust of the ground. Now in the old testament many times to communicate to men God had to make himself known in the five senses to communicate at first Moses burning bush, staff that turned to a snake attention getters, they had Gods spirit upon them but not in them, that's why David in psalms said to God take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Remember Jesus Christ said those who have seen me have seen the father five senses the Disciples didn't get it tell after Pentecost. Anne The reason is very interesting this is mentioned when in he was back in the area where he was raised in cana of galilee. In Mathew 13:54-58 we read where he went to where he was raised and because they knew the family he came out of He could not do many mighty works there because of unbelief. Many times Jesus Christ went up against people who didn't believe especially where he was raised. In luke 8:49-56 is total grace because he brought back the dead after being laughed at and had to get rid of the unbelief in the room. In luke chapter 4 beginning at verse 16 goes in teaches the word in nazareth where he had been brought up the people look at Him like who are you and how are you doing this. John 4:23 is part of the presentation of the gospel to the Samaritan woman at the well. Keep in mind that the Samaritans were rejected by the Hebrew and Jewish people. They were considered to be half breeds, half Arabian, half Jewish. A Jewish person will not accept you as a Jewish person unless you are 100% Jewish. So Jesus is going through Samaria. Jews don't go through Samaria. That's unclean!

But Jesus begins to present the gospel to her and she seems to be questioning His authority. It's not until we get to verse 18 that the woman starts to realize something about Jesus. "Uh Oh, He knows everything about me." And then in verse 23, she begins a religious discussion with Jesus about worship.

But Jesus sets it straight in Verses 21-24 about worship, which are tremendous verses. The word worship here literally means to bow down and kiss the ring of somebody.

In other words, if you are coming into the presence of the king, you bow down, you get on your knee, and you kiss his ring. And then he will lift the scepter and you'll be able to talk. But you cannot until you express your submission and reverence.

True worship is submission. It is obedience. True worshipers worship God in spirit and in truth. And remember it means to bow down, to submit. Submitting to His truth and reverencing His truth is the highest form of worship.

Jesus quoted from Isaiah in one place and said, "Well did Isaiah say of you that you honor me with your lips but your heart is far from me." He says I get tired of you going and performing your religious vows and all your singing and whatever when your heart is not even lined up with what you're doing.

God looks on the heart, and man looks on the outward appearance. It is unacceptable to Him. God is Spirit. Everybody that gives genuine worship to God worships Him in Spirit. We are to surrender to His Spirit and to surrender to His truth. That is the highest form of worship!

Everyone and everything has an appointed time. When God wants your friend to bow to him and confess that he is Lord, your friend WILL DO IT.

Paul is our example: KILLING God's ELECT; UNTIL his appointed time, and within seconds Paul is surrendering to Christ.

The age we are now in, is the age Christ is choosing an ELECT group of people to be PRIEST AND JUDGES. After the second resurrection, and in the ages to come, the rest of mankind will bow and worship God.

Psalms 22:27 And ALL THE ENDS OF THE WORLD shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and ALL the kindreds of the nations shall WORSHIP BEFORE THEE.

Psalms 22:30 A SEED shall serve him; and it shall be accounted to the Lord as a generation (the AGE we are in NOW).

Psalms 22:31 And they (THE SEED) shall come (with Christ at the second resurrection), and declare his righteousness unto a people that SHALL BE BORN, that he has done this.
