In verse 23, Jesus gave the kernel of what He desires of Christians: That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him." May we all honour our Redeemer Jesus by staying at the centre of His will. We need to be washed in His sin-cleansing Blood and keep our salvation current.

April: To promise God---, they're already in Sin. God told us to ask: Be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be known unto God. Philippians 4:6/ this is the confidence that we have in him that if we ask anything according to his will,he heareth us: if we know that he hear us---we have the petitions that we desire of Him. 1John 5:14-15

A Person does not have to know one Word of The Bible. All they need to know is that Their Sin will send them to Hell. That comes about when a Believer shares The Way of Salvation. They may have never been in a Church or seen a Bible. The Spirit will tug on Their Heart. Without knowing one Word of The Bible, you can bring others to Salvation with your Testimony. Let us bring them in. The Day is-----

This is such a good Bible site. I just went to 'more', then 'various Bible topics', then clicked on 's', scrolled to 'studying the word', and up came no less than 17 vs. on STUDYING His Word. And, there are many more allusions to studying His throughout the Bible, Josiah the reformer when the Word of God was read to him, when the decree of Cyrus was found, and so many more.

As far as not needing to read the Bible for salvation - then why did Jesus give us Jn.5:39 (His own words); Acts17:11; Col.1:10. During His earthly ministry that's ALL He did - was quote scripture (no, what He said wasn't ALL written down yet, but - He knew it would be; Jesus was omniscient - all knowing) As it came from His mouth it was - scripture..

Since we are living in Satan's system ( 1 john 5:19) we HAVE TO rely on Jehovah. We will have burdens in this life, and if we don't share that burden with God, we will be crushed by them. Growing a relationship with God is not an option. We have to do so to truly enjoy life.

Bruce, read Denise's scripture reference, also v.27. Also, 1 John 3: 8-9. He that committeth sin is of the devil. 1 John 5:18, We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not. But he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and the wicked one touched him not. Each time I bring up scriptures, people try to point at me. READ THE SCRIPTURES AND BELIEVE GOD'S WORDS. They're not mine! God's.

Obedience to God's words are more important than sacrifice. We will surely be made whole once we obey God's words. Yes only Jesus is the healer he has appointed time to heal the sick and he has appointed time to bless us for his yoke is easy and thy burden is light only if you trust him and handover everything to Jesus let's praise him and thanked his blood amen

  • Matt on John 5 - 7 years ago
There is no rapture. Paul stated in 2nd Thess. we will not all gather back to The Lord until after the 'falling away' aka the tribulation of the antichrist. Jesus indeed said we would be going through the tribulation in Matt. 24. The two witnesses (Smyrna
  • Zeingoff on John 5 - 7 years ago
The Bible doesn't mention "Rapture" but Paul says we shall meet in the air which he said would comfort us. Don't go there but vs 47 which calls us to learn the whole Bible. Jesus' word is mostly in parables which people mostly misinterpret. It is not given everyone to understand. But God spoke plainly to the Fathers. No one mentioned Rapture. But they plainly spoke if Spirit. Read Moses.
  • Irene123 on John 5 - 7 years ago
Rom. 11:26 - As far as Israel being or not being saved, Paul very plainly says they will be. But this is after the Rapture when Jesus turns again to the Jews, and after the trib.; It will be during His millennial reign - and THEN after that- the GREAT WHITE THRONE judgment, and then - ETERNITY.
  • Irene123 on John 5 - 7 years ago
Rom. 11:1-5; God has not cast the Jews away; He's only 'set them aside' until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in (the Rapture). Even now any Jew can turn to Jesus in truth - Jesus' truth, the Word of God, not man's word.

I John 3:6- whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not, whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. V.8- he that commit sin is of the devil, for the devil sinneth from the beginning. 1 John 5:18,- we know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not, but he that is begotten of God, keepeth himself, and that wicked one touched him not. Seeing the Bible's words fulfilled in every part of the earth shows how true it is. In every way, shape, and form people are being oppressed around the world. Human rulers are following after their leader. (1 John 5:19) That is why Jehovah God's government is being promoted by his people to show that there is a government that is pure

John 5:4 The Lord said that He spoke to the crowds in parables because they were not able to hear the Word any other way. We also know, that it was never in any man to take the first step to make peace with God; but God first loved us! In this way He does and speaks in many and diverse ways to all of us, as we are able to hear; and then according to how we "hear" He makes us according to our ways.
  • A disciple on John 5 - 7 years ago
"For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had." How many ever think about the many and diverse ways which God spoke to the fathers in times past?or about all the many other things Jesus did, which could be written about? or the things spoken in parables?
  • Martha on 1 Corinthians 11 - 7 years ago
@Bruce...the scripture you gave John 5:7 was well said but you didn't finish the scripture. You left out: "And these three are one"! Sounds like one God to me!
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
  • Bruce on 1 Corinthians 11 - 7 years ago
Irene: For there are three that bear record in heaven, The Father,The Word, and The Holy Ghost---1 John 5:7( sounds like Trinity) They have always been. They are the us,in:Let us make man in our image---Genesis1:26. And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us---John1:14./ And washed us from our own sins in His own Blood--- Revelations1:5
  • Wayne on 1 John 3 - 7 years ago
1 John 5:18-19; We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not. But he that is begotten of God keepeth himself and that wicked one touched him not. And we know that we are of God and the whole world lieth in wickedness. We must realize the scriptures are true and alive. When we see a fault in ourselves, we talk to Jesus about it and ask Him to cleanse us from that fault. Talk to him all day.
