1 John 5:7 as it appears in the KJV and the NKJV referring to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and also as it appears in the other versions, without reference to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, does not alter the fact that Jesus told his disciples to baptise people in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit the triune God . Similarly , it does not alter the statements made by Jesus concerning the fact that He and the Father are one, and, for example, that he who has seen the Son has seen the Father. Furthermore, the prophecy in Isaiah referers to Jesus as Emmanuel, or "God with us. " Also, in Genesis, for example, God is quoted as referring to Himself as "Us. " There are many other Biblical references that pass the test of God being God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, without necessarily using the word "trinity. " It would be wise therefore, not to dare to cause believers to doubt the truth about the triune God, and not lead those searching for the truth astray.

God is one and beside him they is no other God. also Isaiah 9:6 , Father is one and that is God. The Father which is being said here is God, and that is Jesus. God is love. When God dwells in us his love is manifested in our lives. In first John 4:7-8 it says, love is of God and every one that loveth is born of God. He that loveth not knoweth not God for God is love. Again it says in 1 John 5:2 -3 by this we know me love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his comandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grevious. In Romans 5:5 it says, and hope maketh not ashamed because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the holy Ghost which is given in us. It is the love of God in the heart of the true believer that keeps him in the narrow path, the harder way the Word, Christ. It is the love of God in the heart of the believer that keeps him in the doctrine of Christ and therefore in God for it says in 1John 1:9 whoso transgresseth and and abides not in the doctrine of Christ hath no God. Love hopeth all things, believeth all things in other words it abounds in the faith of Jesus endures all things in other words it abides in the word in sword nakedness, peril and famine etc love rejoice in the truth which is the word of God . In other words the person dwelling in love is perfect in all the divine virtues of Christ 2 Peter 2 . The living love of of Jesus Christ in his bride is a living evidence of his purchase and evidence that his quickening power has raised him from deadness in sin and trespasses and now his life is pulsating through him.

James Njoku- Maybe 1 Peter Chapter 3: 17-22 will help you regarding John 5:28 17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. 18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison those that had died before Christ was sacrificed on the cross was preached to by Christ after he was crucified while he was still yet in the tomb for those 3 days. They heard Christs voice. Hebrews 9:27-27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:---- you are making that verse harder than it is suppose to be. It means that after someone dies-you must be judged. Judgement time comes after the perishing of flesh. Although it does not come immediately after death. It comes on judgement day. I hope some of this has helped you Keep studying! Don 't give up. If you don 't understand something, pray for wisdom and knowledge from GOD...for all wisdom and knowledge comes from GOD. He is faithful. You will receive it in HIS time! Always be patient!!!! ALWAYS!

Death : Hell : and the Grave : Have no dominion in me. I have been set free from all . Sin : Sickness : and Disease : I have been delivered from . If I should die today : I know in whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed to Him. I am saved : healed : delivered : kept in safety : and have soundness of mind. Praise God forever more !!!!

my thought on 1 John 5: If we believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God,keep his commandment we 'll able to over come the devil.because whatever we ask in his name,we have that confident that he hear us and he will answer our petitions.
  • Tudorgirl on John 5:21 - 10 years ago
I see it as I see John 1:13 It is of God 's will. Spiritually dead man and woman cannot come to God. They are dead. God does the regenerating and gives the gift of faith to those He will, of His will. What a gift ! Totally undeserved. He loved me and picked me out of the gutter, by HIS GRACE ALONE. I must in turn love others to HIM ! And that is to THE JEW FIRST, as did Paul all the way through to the end of Acts ! The church dropped the ball here !

  • Frenz on Matthew 7 - 10 years ago
I will choose this verse! Mathew 7:6 Spiritually speaking for me what it says here is everytime we share God 's Word to the losts and their response is negative and sometimes it leads to discussion and furtheremore it leads to argument that it is not the will of God to continue sharing God 's words to this people.Meaning they donot believe the Word of God, neither the goodness of God in their life, and possible to become anger while discussing each knowledge about God 's word. So i suggest to stop the argument and tell them we are here to force you to believe and force you tio be converted, we are here because God commanded us to share with you who is God and why God became man the man Christ the one true God and eternal life 1 John 5:20 And that God really manifested himself for our salvation 1 Timothy 3:16. Godbless us all
  • Sound doctrine on John 5:40 - 10 years ago
John 5:40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. People almost always are too complacent, because they cherish the illusion that when things start to go bad, they will have time to extricate themselves It never works that way. Events move much faster than anyone expects... History usually doesn t evolve in a slow and orderly way often it leaps forward in disorderly, chaotic jumps. Luke 13 4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. no one of those eigteen woke up knowing they were going to die in the tower.

REV 17-28...I think you will find that the Roman Catholic Order, are behind these Pagan practices, and beliefs, including the 1st day worship Sabbath , II Corinthians 11:14-15..And no marvel for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light... Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to there works... II PETER 2:17-These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest, to whom the mist of darkness is reserved forever... MATT 15:9--But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men...I JOHN 5:3--For this is the LOVE of GOD, that we keep HIS COMMANDMENTS... MALACHI 3:6--I AM THE LORD, I CHANGE NOT. HE DID NOT CHANGE THE 4TH COMMANDMENT, THE 7TH DAY SABBATH, and mankind will answer to GOD for not keeping HIS LAWS. PRAISE GOD FOR HIS HOLY WORD!!!!WAKE UP PEOPLE!!! AMEN!!
  • Delivered on 1 John 5:7 - 10 years ago
1 John 5:7. Amen. I believe in the 'trinity ' as they call it. Father as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit which is the feminine Mother composite of God. The Bible has so many examples of this: In Genesis God said let "us " make man in "our " image..When they built the tower of Babel God referred to Himself as "us " again. Jesus even said He and the Father are one, meaning He as the Son is also God in the flesh. Praise God for all that He 's done for us

To Lu s Hon rio Rodrigues Aquino 's John Chapter 5 comment about verse 39 on 1 11 2015, 6:29am... In the original Greek Bible this verse is a Statement and not an order. As you say further on in your comment, the Jews had the habit of reading the scripture or listening to it in the synagogue when it was read to them.
  • Lilian on John 5 - 10 years ago
Jesus himself is the word of God who have sent us. The heavenly manna the word of God gives us life and healing. He who loves Jesus will keep his word and commandments as Jesus is the only way the truth and the life he who listen to his word will not die even if we die we still have life. This is God 's promise to all of us
  • Luís Honório Rodrigues Aquino on John 5:39 - 10 years ago
Well I 'd like to know if in the original greek document this verse is an order or a statement. Is it an order to examin the scriptures or is Jesus commenting about a jew habit of reading the scripture in search of everlastin life?
  • Russell Lavallee on John 5:24 - 10 years ago
Faith, trust and belief in Jesus Christ is imperative. He was God in the flesh. John 1:1...also refer to Jesus ' conversation with Nicodemus John 3:16.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
Hello Linda Templet: I think you have misunderstood me. I have never stated that there was two gods. There is one God and he is the Father of us all. Ephesians 4: 5 "One Lord, one faith, one baptism. There is only one God, 1 John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. Also you will find that 1 Timothy 3: 16 states that God was manifested in the flesh, this person is Jesus Christ. I do not have to prove Jesus Christ exist. God is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient. I do not have to prove Gods existence. You explain miracles. A presence has to fulfill these things that many people have experienced in their lives. This Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient presence is God. Jesus Christ states in Revelation 1: 8 I am Alpha and Omega the beginning and the ending. There is only one God of both heaven and earth.

Hello Wayfarer: Please read the following information for I have already addressed these comments. Jesus is God manifested in the flesh, in 1 John 5: 7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. There are other scriptures that show the oneness of God, John Chapter 1 1 Timothy 3: 16. Jesus declared he was the Father to Philip, John 14: 8 and 9. The Holy Ghost name is Jesus Christ, John 14: 26.

A Bible believing christian doesn 't have to follow a teacher who doesn 't know for sure where she is going after she dies as far as I can kick this building I 'm sitting in 1 John 5:13. In the Chruch age we have a KNOW SO salvation and are sealed by the Holy Spirit. According to Colossians 2:11-12 there is an operation of God made without hands and the word of God Heb 4:12 cuts your soul away from your flesh and the sins of the flesh can 't touch the soul. You soul is SAVED but your body isn 't until you get your new one Rom 8:23. The christian can lose their testimony, and many other things, but salvation is not one of them. Now if those who want to believe in works and tongues and baptism to be saved a time is coming where they will have to endure till the end, Matthew 24:13, if they want to try it.

We can hope in the fact that Jesus knows where we are, the things that holds us captive and makes us impotent. When He shows up in our situation in His love and great mercy we can expect wholesome healing, restoration and transformation. We need not worry that we have no helper, because Jesus is able. Glory to God.

Hello Missionary G. Simmons and Richard Buabeng I would like to add to my comment. When Jesus answered Philip telling him in short he was the Father then one can deduce that the Father 's name is Jesus Christ. The Holy Ghost name is Jesus Christ also, John 14 26.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on John 5 - 10 years ago
Hello Missionary G. Simmons and Richard Buabeng I understand what you saying, but there is just one thing, when Jesus Christ stated that he came in his Father s name, he truly meant he came in his Father s name. He stated that, John 10 30 I and my father are one . Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh. It is a mystery but it is the truth. 1 Timothy 3 16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 1 John 5 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost and these three are one . When Philip asked Jesus to show them the Father, Jesus told him that he was the Father, John 14 8 and 9.

  • Justin on John 5:29 - 10 years ago
While translating John 5 29 to "And shall come forth they who have done good, in the resurrection of the just and they who have done evil, in the resurrection of the unjust. " Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon had a vision about heaven. This can be found in Doctrine and Covenants Section 76.
  • Richard Buabeng on John 5:43 - 10 years ago
To "Come in the name of a Higher Person " refers to the delegate authority reposed on someone to perform a particular duty or to act on the behalf of the that 'Higher Person. It does not ncessarily mean coming in the name as in RICHARD OR JOHN, But rather the proxy power given to the person perform some or act for SOMEONE and not on his own behalf. It means all that the person says or does within the set period are words or action for the One that sent that person. So Christ is referring to the authority not the literal 'name '.
