Andrew: When I First Read Your Post I was Shocked but I Read it a few more times. The word weakling was ??? Strong.The Book of John 5-20 show The Son and The Father as separate:Christ was sent by The Father,
Christ had His Own Will, but done The Fathers. The Son comes in The Glory of His Father. Matthew 16:27. I hope to See more of Your Post. Pray for Those Who are Puffed-up in their Pride.

Andrew; Its always amazing to me at what gall some have; so easily to blaspheme the Lord Jesus! While pretending religion, you take an opportunity to give your mouth to the devil and say such a thing about Him who is above all heavens and all the earth and to whom every knee shall bow! I am disgusted by the casual uncleanness and easy kind of "spurious" Christianity that comes out of the churches!

John 5 Jesus tells us a separation between his Father and himself. Jesus was a weakling and can do nothing by himself unless he had the spirit of God his Father in him.

John 5:19] Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. There is only one True living GOD. (1st John 5:7) For there are three that bear record in heaven the FATHER, the WORD and the HOLY SPIRIT: these three are one. Read John1:1; John 10:30 I and my Father are one. Matt 28:19; John 14:26.

Insight; Numbers 12:8 "With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?" Deuteronomy 34:10-12 Moses came not to the son's of Israel in his own name; but in the Name of I AM..."TELL THEM, I AM HATH SENT ME UNTO YOU." Moses was the meekest man on earth!

V43 Moses came in his own name and was received, honored by the approval of his followers.
Moses accuses people with his own made up laws that are not from God, that is why Jesus does not accuse them of breaking those laws. Moses wrote that the truth comes from God. Jesus IS truth from God but followers of Moses do not believe it, following tradition as truth instead.

1 John 5:7 God is a Spirit, the Word is Spirit and the Holy Spirit is Spirit. The Word which is Spirit came forth from Spirit to be made flesh and dwell among us though he were rich he became poor for our sake to take our sins upon him and give his life for us to redeem and reconcile us back to Spirit. In the Beginning God:in Hebrew it's Elohiym (Eloheem) that's plural more then One. It's that way all through The Bible. He said let us make---in our---after our--- Genesis 1. Secondly; Jesus NEVER said or taught that anyone should abandon Moses, nor even the authority of the Rulers of Israel. Matthew 23:1-3 Jesus clearly and unmistakably charged that we do all things for God's honor. Matthew 5:17-19; John 5:47 The Law of Moses is for teaching us the nature and character of holiness and love and righteousness; so we can learn to be like our Father in heaven.

In verse 23, Jesus gave the kernel of what He desires of Christians: That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him." May we all honour our Redeemer Jesus by staying at the centre of His will. We need to be washed in His sin-cleansing Blood and keep our salvation current.

A Person does not have to know one Word of The Bible. All they need to know is that Their Sin will send them to Hell. That comes about when a Believer shares The Way of Salvation. They may have never been in a Church or seen a Bible. The Spirit will tug on Their Heart. Without knowing one Word of The Bible,you can bring others to Salvation with your Testimony. Let us bring them in. The Day is-----

This is such a good Bible site. I just went to 'more', then 'various Bible topics', then clicked on 's', scrolled to 'studying the word', and up came no less than 17 vs. on STUDYING His Word. And, there are many more allusions to studying His throughout the Bible, Josiah the reformer when the Word of God was read to him, when the decree of Cyrus was found, and so many more.

As far as not needing to read the Bible for salvation - then why did Jesus give us Jn.5:39 (His own words); Acts17:11; Col.1:10. During His earthly ministry that's ALL He did - was quote scripture (no, what He said wasn't ALL written down yet, but - He knew it would be; Jesus was omniscient - all knowing) As it came from His mouth it was - scripture..

Since we are living in Satan's system ( 1 john 5:19) we HAVE TO rely on Jehovah. We will have burdens in this life, and if we don't share that burden with God, we will be crushed by them. Growing a relationship with God is not an option. We have to do so to truly enjoy life.

I have a cousin who claims the angel stiring the water was only a legend. He claimed based on early transcript the verse ... the a angel... was not in the original text. What do you say to this?
