They had the mind that they were doing Christ favour by following Him through their carnality. When He spoke the statement about the Father, it was a dagger through their unbelief, in a manner of speech such as, "we 've left everything behind as a sacrifice to follow you yet you say your Father made us..... "They had the secular mind that the self can do other things through the power of the flesh.it is truly impossible to impose flesh over the Spiritual things movement of God

What a statement. I believe the Bible teaches the sovereignty of God and that Salvation is of the LORD. John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him. I believe the salvation of a person s much the same way. A man or woman could have all knowledge of the Bible and miss Jesus. When a person meets Jesus, truly their eyes are open. He is no longer a religious person from the past or the God up stairs. It is a new birth and your eyes are wide open!

The flesh, which is the carnal nature, adds no substance to my life. Jesus promises abundant life, which only comes through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, which comes when we are santified by the Word of God, which is God breathed.
  • Mary Newlon on John 6:47 - 10 years ago
Christ said He was the only way to heaven and I believe that. A person cannot work their way, it is a gift. Thank God for the gift and thank Jesus for His willingness to give to us.

Matthew 7:21 is one of those versus that believers turn into a works righteousness concept when in reality it 's the exact opposite. To do the will of the Father is to believe on the Son John 6:29,40

God wants us to eat the heavenly manna which is God 's word. Jesus himself is a word of God which gives us life, peace, cleanses our sin and renewed our mind. Only the word of GOD that can saves us as God the father sent this thru Jesus. We are his children and He is our Father who loves us, by his forgiveness, mercy and grace we are saved. Accept the word of God as no man can comes to the father except thru Jesus. Jesus loves you...

I am forever grateful that Jesus came to do the will of our Father : It is not an easy thing to do : to change your will to do the will of God. Submission is always a thing you do not want to do. If it was : we all would be doing it all the time. It takes believing that what God says to do is the best , not only for you , but for others you are around every day of your life.

After Jesus left us to go up to His Father, He gave us a Comforter to TEACH us all things and most of all to comfort us! As soon as we think we can explain things in our own mind and not letting our Teacher guide us, we are on the wrong track

Son we gets at trinity, after creation He saw how we have dust our life as a builder does to his house after its dirty.. Cleans n paints smart but not destroy structure. Jesus came to clean our sins and preserve our glory for His love....

We must believe what Jesus has spoken. At the last supper, he hands his disciples bread and wine, and after praying over them, says "This is my Body, " and "This is my Blood. " Here in John Chapter six, Jesus says, "Unless you eat my body and drink my blood, you have no life within you. " When we gather to celebrate, the bread and wine offered on the Altar become for us, the Glorified Body and Blood of Christ for us to eat and drink and be nourished, and to be transformed. We are then invited to become the Body of Christ to others.

We often seek him for What he can do for us and not for What he has done in the shedding his blood for ours sins on the cross. To often in todays culture we are always looking for a hand out when we should be lifting our hands up towards heaven in praise to Him. Remember MATT 6 33

You say it well I have to agree with your comment . Sincerely , this is a beautiful audience we are Christians and believes in God . The sixth Chapter on this book give us a tremendous assurances in ourselves as Christians . In fact we know the only reason Jesus came was for the forgiveness of our sins Apparently we couldn 't saved without his death . Now we have learned and knowing for sure while he was on the cross his side was pieced . His blood runs like a river . It was a victorious moment for those who believes . In other words , we don 't have to drink his blood for us to be save . Precisely , we received the blood through the doctrine of baptism . Not only that there are other thing as well . However the most important is our faith . Important , the flesh is not the body of Christ , his words become flesh . Scarce he could not have done nothing without the permission of the Father . Therefore , once we are receiving the baptism we are encouraged by whoever performed the ceremony suggested us to read the Bible . Thus , that 's where the dominant factor of flesh taking place .

All of our needs can be fulfilled if we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ. So many of life 's questions can be answered and if we heed Jesus ' advice we can lessen our anxiety and have a real hope.

Many fall away, but to whom can we go? You Lord Jesus, you have all that we need, and we need it. Your words of assurance of Gods love and care. Your guidance thru the storms. You are the ONE, we need you Lord, to whom can we go? You are the only ONE.
  • John on John 6:53 - 10 years ago
I think of John Book 1 where we read that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory, that of the only begotten of the father full of Truth and grace, so here we must eat this flesh, or fully believe in the Word which is God, and drink His blood, the blood that is the light that lighteth every man that comes into the world. The light shineth in the darkness, and the darkness comprehends it not. The blood of god is that light, we bring these words together in a deep place in ourselves Jesus inhabits these mysterious connections, no to abandon them, as more and more they reveal his love meant for us.

Jesus the word of God became flesh declared, I am the bread of life. If you eat my flesh word of God logas drink my blood revelation given by the Holy Spirit rhema. Then..you will know me,see the Father have eternal life. The leter killeth but the Spirit giveth life. The life of the flesh is in the blood. leviticus .Both are required to dwell in Him. The letter only creates religion. Jn 6 66 delclares those who won 't submit to this instruction will eventually walk with him no more.

Daily consumption of the word of GOD to stupor, brings a supernatural regeneration from the adamic spirit of sin which profits nothing to that spirit which raised Jesus Christ from the dead which now profits something i.e. "life in abundance " . Glory be to God!!

this says to me that jesus is the bread from heaven, that those who come unto jesus will not be cast out, those who believe in jesus shall have everlasting life, and jesus shall raise them up in him in the last days, and that no man can come unto jesus except for the fact that God brought him to him.Jesus is the living bread which came down from heaven if any man eat of this bread he shall never be hungry again.

Does Jesus mean everyone prior to him revealing himself and giving us the Eucharist was lost and did not have everlasting life????
  • Bro Jared on John 6 - 10 years ago
More people followed Jesus for the provision and miracles then they did out of a believing heart. And when there bellies were full and He starts preaching they leave and He 's left with His faithful twelve. He is the Father manifested in the flesh, so when He speaks of His Father He is speaking if the Spirit that dwelt in the Son flesh . Read Colossians 2 7 11 the Godhead is in Him.
  • Mary Harris on John 6:35 - 10 years ago
