    On James 4:4.

Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world id enmity with God.

The believers are not of this world. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith ( 1 John 5:4).

    Additional readings as confirmation.

    John 7:7; 8:23; 15:19; 17:9,14,16; 18:36.

    1 Cor. 2:12; 3:19. 2 Cor. 6:17.

    Galatians 1:4.

    Ephesians 2:2.

    1 John 2:15; 4:5; 5:4.

The believers and followers of the true Christ do not involve themselves in the affairs of this world.

Regarding John 7:38: "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water."

The question is answered in the next verse. John 7:39: "(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)"

The illustration is of the Holy Ghost like a fountain of water gushing up from within the believer, giving all that pertains to the life more abundant, to testify to the glory of Jesus Christ.

In Genesis 16, the angel of the LORD found Hagar by a fountain of water in the wilderness which she then called Beerlahairoi (well of the Living One seeing me).

Later in Genesis 26:19 Isaac's servants digged in the valley, and found there a well of springing water (also called living water as opposed to a well that needed to be drawn from by hand).

In Exodus 17, the LORD told Moses to smite the rock so that water would flow out to quench the thirst of the complaining Israelites. This is a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ.

The LORD had a controversy with his people in Jeremiah 2:13, "For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water."

Let us read who persecuted and killed Christ, the prophets and Christians.

Paul in 1 Thessalonians 2:14, 16 - For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, EVEN AS THEY HAVE OF THE JEWS: WHO BOTH KILLED THE LORD JESUS, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and THEY PLEASE NOT GOD, and are contrary to all men: Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: FOR THE WRATH IS COME UPON THEM TO THE UTTERMOST. (NOT ROME)

King James Bible book of John 5:16 - And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.

John 5:18 - Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

John 7:1 - After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.

Act 9:23 - And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him

Act 23:12 - And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.

Act 26:21 - For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.

    Truth in the Scripture

John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If ANY man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And WHOSOEVER will, let him take the water of life freely.

Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

John 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

People those over in the Israeli state claim to be Jews, yet there is NO PROOF only their word. They state the new testament is the most evil antisemitic book ever written and Jesus is the most evil of them all. These are their words, not mine.

Paul said: Titus 1:14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

Google "NOAHIDE YESHU" and learn why many "Jews" are deaf to the gospel since they have committed the unpardonable sin of blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

They claim Jesus performed his miracles (they admit he did) by the power of Satan. Bible witness

Mark Chapter 3:22 And the scribes (Jewish copiers of the Bible) which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

28 Verily I (Jesus) say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit. (possessed of a devil)

They teach this to this day.

The "Jewish" noahides as above mentioned teach Jesus worshiped a brick.

Mary was a prostitute who got pregnant with a Roman soldier named Pantera.

Jesus performed magic via stealing the name of God from the synagogue.

This is why Christian countries expelled them from the land, not cause they were "antisemitic"

they did not like the blasphemy of Jesus, and neither do I.

There are 5,000 Greek manuscripts of the new testament and ZERO Hebrew ones. Show me from the Bible YESHUa anywhere in the new testament and I know it does not exist.

Greek was the common language of business in the days of Jesus. Even many Romans knew Greek.

Alexander the Greek conquered the entire area and insured this happened. Alexandria Egypt was named for him.

Rome only recently conquered Israel prior to the days of Christ. Do you really think Pilate spoke to Jesus at the trial in Latin or Hebrew? Mostly likely they spoke Greek.

In Matthew 27:46 and 47 Jesus spoke Hebrew and the Jews did not even understand what he was saying.

Paul said this about this YESHUa stuff

Bible book of Titus 1:14 - Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

Q: Did Jesus take the Kingdom of God from the Jews?

A: Matthew 21:43 Therefore say I (Jesus speaking to the Jews) unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. (So what nation spread the news of Jesus?)

Certainly not the Jews, so it was Greeks.

Corinthians, Ephesians, Thessalonians were all Greek churches in Greece who spread the gospel, not the Jews.

King James Bible book of John 5:16 - And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.

John 7:1 - After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.

1 Corinthians 16:22 - If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema (CURSED) Maranatha.

DO JEWS LOVE JESUS OR ARE THEY CURSED?

If you want to call Jesus by a Hebrew name use Emmanuel / Immanuel since that name is in both new and old testaments.

People google this " NOAHIDE YESHU" see how they feel about Jesus

The best reason to worship on Sunday is to celebrate Jesus rising from the dead on the first day of the week ( Matthew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24, John 20).

It is not a requirement to honor a particular time of worship because Jesus said, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." ( Matthew 18:20).

Colossians 2:16-17, indeed the whole chapter, show us that these things pertaining to what is lawful are but a shadow of things to come, Jesus Christ being preeminent.

Galatians 5 declares our liberty in Christ, for if we are justified by law we are fallen from grace. Ironically, the Pharisees worked so hard to maintain the Sabbath that it became oppressive. Many still work to establish their own righteousness, not submitting to the righteousness of God (only found in Christ Jesus) Romans 10.

Hebrews 4 is an excellent lesson on rest for today.

In reference to the confusion as to the identity of Jesus' followers, I offer John 7:5 as evidence that states,"even his brother did not believe in Him". James and Jude, his half brothers by Mary, did not become believers until after the resurrection; therefore, they were not among the 12 apostles and followers of Jesus during his ministry.

No Jessue you are error since there are many cities built on 7 hills and Jerusalem is one of them.

Jerusalem's seven hills are the following Mount Scopus, Mount Olivet (Mount of Olives) and the Mount of Corruption (all three are peaks in a mountain ridge that lies east of the old city), Mount Ophel, the original Mount Zion, the New Mount Zion and the hill on which the Antonia Fortress was built, you know the wailing wall where the jews pray at.

Rome was never sent prophets of the Lord. who killed the saints and the Lord?

Do you see Rome in there anywhere?

    Victoria,

Concerning the 7th day of the week and the 1st day of the week

The Hebrew definition of the word "week," or "weeks," simply means "sevened."

The Greek definition of the word "week" is defined as "Sabbath," i.e. the 7th day (of a seven day period); the day of rest.

The 7th day was established for ALL of mankind back on the 7th Day of Creation ( Genesis 2:2-3, Exodus 20:8-11, Exodus 34:21, etc. etc.) and was never abolished.

( Mark 2:27-28) "And he said unto them, The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath."

If we believe in the Father and His only begotten Son, then we have Christ in us every day, not just one day per week.

This new understanding is an enhancement of the 7th day, not the abolishing of it. It was made to last forever. This is a day that God BLESSED and SANCTIFIED! Christ always honored the Sabbath. The Apostles kept the Sabbath; look at Acts 13:14, 27, 42, 44, Acts 16:13, etc.

Pentecost is a holy SABBATH day; i.e. a day of rest.

Many use the "first day of the week" spoken of in Acts 20:7, to change the Law of God, but this verse concerns the first Sabbath in reckoning the seven Sabbaths until Pentecost. (i.e. the first day of the Sabbath. Week = Sabbath.

In Acts 17:2 and Acts 18:4, Paul is continually feeding the people Scripture on the SABBATH.

Christ never abolished the Sabbath; neither did Paul.

God never said anything concerning that fact, and if He wanted that day changed, He would have made it abundantly clear.

Have you considered looking at the Dead Sea Scrolls?

The Book of Enoch, in particular, reveals a 364 day solar priestly calendar.

    52 (weeks) x 7 = 364

Look at the first book of Enoch; specifically, ch. 72, and ch. 82 (column 27) are words concerning the ancient solar calendar.

Tom, Why does everyone insist that those over in the middle east are Israel? Just because someone claims to be a jew does not make it so.

    1 Corinthians 4:5
Concerning unforgiveness, whether in the past or the present: If we don't forgive others, God will not listen to our prayers.
It's not a feeling. It's an act of obedience no matter how others hurt us. Some of need to forgive ourselves. That was hardest fo me to learn. A really great DVD to watch on the subject, is The Shack. Might find it at Walmart. I had to watch it 28 times.

It is sad and regrettable that men have done damage to the faith of many people and have successfully overthrown the faith of millions though corrupt and distorted translation of the bible based upon apocryphal MSS. Some relevant examples are: St. John 7:53-8:11 1 John 5:7 St. Mark, and in St. Luke 2:33 which calls Joseph the father of Jesus in the NASB, and other translations.
