    I find it interesting that the Pharisees say they know that God talked with Moses. They may have read it or been told it but were not themselves there. They had to take it on faith. Why then could they not take it on faith what Jesus told them?

    I love this chapter, because it shows what happens after a person is saved. How they know more about the truth of God,and shows how God makes the wise simple and the simple wise. I love it when he tells the pharisee, 'will you also be his disciples?' and starts teaching the pharisees and scribes. I could picture a sword going through their hearts and cutting through to show there true self

    In every problem God wishes to be glorified, while onlookers, wishes to cast judgement/ accusation, that we must have sinned.Satan is the accuser of the brethren, but Jesus is the Optometrice who gives us eyes to see the truth.

    Genesis 1:26; And God said, Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness: The creative nature of God was transferred to us human beings when He created us irrespective of our colour, race, custom, etc. God is counting on us to represent Him in making something new exist or happen. Now is the time for us to make use of the abilities that are still unused in us. John 9:4; I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

    @Bell,
    On Luke 7:36-50:
    1. Speaking of the difference between a self righteous religious leader who is mostly interested in proselyting good decent people that do not realize they are sinners in need of a saviour and a person that realizes that they are unrighteous sinner that knows they cannot cleanse themselves from being a sinner without a saviour;
    2. The anointing with alabaster box of ointment is a picture of a sacrifice of repentance ( 1 John 1:9);
    3. The women here being called a sinner ( John 9:31) by the Pharisee is most likely a reference to her actions, not just a person born into sin (as all humans are Romans 3:10,23), she is most likely a prostitute;
    4. The parable of the creditor and two debtors validate this event between the Pharisee and the woman of low reputation;
    5. Most people who get saved from a life of being a decent person do not seem to appreciate what they received through salvation as persons who get saved from a life of unlawful activity;
    6. John 18:9-14, the Pharisee and the publican are on the same moral fortitude.

    All through the Book of John, Satan is hard at work to cast dispersion on Jesus and blind the Pharisees to the true Messiah. I believe that Satan worked particularly hard in John 9 and actually made Christ's sacrifice for us a reality. Satan actually defeated himself and those that believe in Him won a great victory. All praise be to God.

    Matthew 23:19= You blind men! Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred?NIV
    =You blind= in John 9:39-41- ''39=Jesus said, for judgment I have come into the world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.'' 40=Some Pharisees who were with Him heard Him say this and asked, 'what? are we blind too?' 41=Jesus said,'If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.''and also in John 5:39-40.
    Which is greater, the gift or the altar that makes the gift sacred?= which one is bigger the giver or the or receiver. In 1Corinthians 12:4-11= which one is master the gifts or the one who gives.
    John 17:17= ''Sanctify them by the truth; Your Word is truth.'' - which one is mighter the Sactifier or those who sactified.

    First of all in my comments I didn't say anything about rapture. In my reading of the Holy Bible I see the Lord telling His men/disciple/church etc that He comes back so that they could expect His coming.
    John 14
    1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
    2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
    3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.

    Hebrews 9:28
    So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that LOOK for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation
    1 Corinthians 1:7
    So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ

    1 Thessalonians 2:19
    For what [is] our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? [Are] not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
    1 Thessalonians 3:13
    To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the COMING of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
    1 Thessalonians 5:23
    And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the COMING of our Lord Jesus Christ.
    Colossians 3:4
    When Christ, [who is] our life, shall appear, then shall ye also APPEAR with him in glory.
    Philippians 3:20
    For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we LOOK for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ
    21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

    1 John 3:2
    Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet APPEAR what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
    1 Corinthians 15:23
    But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming

    1 Thessalonians 4:15 - 17
    For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the COMING of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep
    For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

    Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

    The Church is expecting the coming of the Lord their Savior. We children of light and of the day. We are not going to sleep at all; we are not going to lose our faith.

    The coming of the Lord is not as a thief in the night for the Church. The prepared Church is expecting His coming, His saints, His holy ones are awaiting His arrival. They are not going to sleep as the 10 virgins slept (While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.). They are not preserved or kept for the darkness. But those that are choosing to receive Him at night (spiritually speaking) will meet Him when He comes from the wedding. ( And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.).

    Amos 5:18
    Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what END [is] it for you? the day of the LORD [is] darkness, and not light.
    Job 36:20
    Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.
    John 9:4
    I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the NIGHT cometh, when no man can work.

    1 Thessalonians 5: 1 - 10
    1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
    2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
    3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
    4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
    5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
    6 Therefore let us not sleep, as [do] others; but let us watch and be sober.
    7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
    8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
    9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
    10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

    So I think, we must expect Jesus and receive Him and be with Him forever rather than being part of those who are waiting for the ati-Christ.

    Revelation 3:3
    Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

    Revelation 16:15
    Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed [is] he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame
    The meaning of coming as a thief is that they will know when He comes but will be caught unaware and will be rejected, will have no chance to escape. So we shall not be left for the night. Coming of the Son of Man as a thief at night is about the day of the Lord. The Church is looking for Him not as a thief in the night. His coming as a thief in the night is for those who do not expecting Him, the Church is not of that fold.

    John 9, makes me think harder about what I am doing and the life I live. I was told and to this very day am told that I must be doing something wrong when I am going through but this man nor his parents did sin and yet their son could not see until Jesus gave him sight. Remember that we were born in sin and do not have to sin and God will fix our problems so that He can receive the glory.
  • Sealed on Jeremiah 23 - 14 years ago
    Who are the prophets in the LATTER DAYS (consider this same chapter verse 20)? Jeremiah was in the city before it became Babylon (taken by the Babylonians or Chaldeans). The prophets of Jerusalem were deceiving the people into rejecting Jeremiah’s (the LORD’S servant) warning concerning the destruction of the city. Also ask yourself how many people WHILE Jeremiah was warning them thought that he actually was the LORD’S servant? The BIG SHOTS among the people thought Jeremiah was a traitor to his country ( JER 26: 8; 37: 12, 13). Who are the true prophets in the LATTER DAYS ( REV 11: 3)? Who gets to decide the doctrine (PRESENT TRUTH -- 2 Peter 1: 12; 1 Peter 1: 13) they preach to the people of (MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH) the land so the BIG SHOTS can call them false prophets?

    Considering this same subject also note similar verses ( EZE 34; JER 5: 5, 12; 25: 34-37; MIC 3: 1-5).

    In closing consider the words of Jesus ( John 9: 39-41) who everybody claims to believe in but understand nothing about the Messiah (who comes again) and the Judgment of the LORD:

    And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. And [some] of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
  • Sealed on Isaiah 1 - 14 years ago
    2 Peter 1:20: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any PRIVATE INTERPRETATION.

    Amos 3: 7 -- Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he REVEALETH HIS SECRET unto his servants the prophets.

    The prophets in our day (THE LATTER DAYS) are the two Witnesses in Revelation chapter 11. One of these prophets had already come and the world knew him not. The other prophet is now sounding the alarm!

    None of the Prophet Isaiah’s words are for an individual’s private imaginations or personal gleanings. Many of Isaiah’s prophesies are concerning the latter days (our days) though they are mixed with prophesies that have already been accomplished in OLD Jerusalem. Consider Isaiah’s prophesy in chapter 61 verse 2. Now most, if not all Christians (who make up nations that were established by the covenant brought by Jesus and the Apostles much the OLD Jerusalem was made up of nations established by Moses John 9: 28), would agree that the one that one proclaiming liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison (grave) to those that are bound is none other that Jesus (not really a name just a transliteration derived from what the Greeks called him). But if this savior mentioned in this chapter is NONE OTHER than Jesus, Why does Jesus himself say in Matthew 24: 36 that no man knows the day or the hour (concerning the calamities that will soon take place in our day) but my father only. Is it unreasonable to think that the Father (whose name is Holy - Isaiah 45: 4 {read the Hebrew Names Version}) will not warn his servants so they can escape the horrible catastrophe to soon come upon the whole world to execute judgment on the rebellious and hypocritical nation ( Isaiah 10: 6; 33:14)? I’m not able to write the “whole vision” in the comments section here. It’s my intention to help warn the people and direct them to the information they DESPERATELY NEED ( Isaiah 41: 17). Consider Amos 8: 11: Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

    People are struggling to find god and they now have there chance – ( Isaiah 34: 16). If the people in OLD Jerusalem were deceived by the religious leaders is Jesus’ day why should we think the same scenario ( Jeremiah 23; 5: 4; Ezekiel 34; 13: 5; Isaiah 3: 12, 9: 16) would not exist in our days which are the LATTER DAYS? There is SOO MUCH that we DON’T ALREADY KNOW of the scriptures. It is only through the LORD’S servant that we can escape the great and dreadful day of the LORD which is almost here ( Joel 1: 14, 15)! My email address is [email protected] – I want to hear from you and am open to ANY QUESTION about the scriptures because I’m convinced I know how the so-called 144,000 are to escape.

    May the LORD who created all things be with us all!
