    Samantha,

We are all sinners. In different ways. God still loves us and offers the opportunity to adjust and correct the paths we walk upon. Daily. He saved me and I'm here to tell you, He can save you.

Are you familiar with the parable of the lost sheep? ( Luke 15) If not it is wonderful to read while placing ourselves "in the hooves" of the lost sheep. Check it out!

Do not allow the condemnation of others to push you away from God. A true Christian should firstly approach this issue and others with the love that our Father has provided to each of us, when we were sinful or blinded. (We are not the Hebrew Israelites standing on corners shaming people. That is not what Jesus did.) Should you seek Jesus, you will find him. Which requires laying down of many things. To receive a new heart.

God Bless you and keep you!

    Hi Samantha.

Homosexuality is a sin as well as heterosexual without marriage is fornication, stealing, killing, etc. When we accept Christ in our life, "On his terms" ( Romans-10:9-10.) he saves us. This comes after knowing we are sinners and condemned without him.

John 3:16-18. Notice the emphasis on believe in these verses?

God gives us his spirit to convict us, guide us, teach us and gives the power and strength to change us. Change may not come immediately but the guilt will. You coming on the site may have expressed that. Salvation is the works of Christ alone but when we're saved we are to bare fruit of righteousness and repent. Sanctification is a work of the Holyspirit. Being made new we shouldn't continue in sin. Not perfection but a continuance of progression. Romans 6:1-11.

Keep in prayer, God will judge you by your heart. If your heart is pure change will follow.

    God bless.

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Leviticus 18:22

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. John 3:7

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:8

I am warning you. Repent! You are kindling God's anger.

    Part 4.

According to this dangerous practice the Bible exists only to help you learn more about yourself, and if it doesn't, then it can be replaced by any other book, scientist, experience, or gut feeling.

After all, the words are not what matter, and it is not about adhering to any one tradition. All that matters is whether you find solace, benefit, or help from how you read it.

This approach is identified by the question, "what does it say to you?"

Objective truth and facts cannot be understood without taking something literally. Spiritualizing is subjective.

    Conclusion

Spiritualizing the Bible is the enemy of Bible believing dispensational study which tries to understand the meaning of God's words by the words.

Any attempt to retranslate, change the words, spiritualize, or otherwise separate the interpretation from the doctrinal and historical context of words on the page will lead to ignorance of the truth of God and his will.

If the Bible should be left alone and words matter to deliver meaning, then the Bible should be read literally.

This will eventually lead you to mid-Acts Pauline dispensational Bible study, understanding the truth, and knowing God's will.

One of the problems with over-spiritualizing is that you can forget the real meaning of the thing you are over-spiritualizing.

This causes over-spiritualization to have a devastating impact on the credibility of the church.

Another problem with over-spiritualizing is its propensity to narrate the wrong view of God. Those people and groups that excel in over exaggerating and over spiritualizing hardly give God any room in the normal workings of the world. He is omitted and ignored in the daily cycles of life and in simple acts of kindness. Yet Scripture says otherwise, God makes the sun and rain shine and fall on everyone

    ( Matthew 5:45.)

Just have to follow His written word, and you will walk in the right direction ( Joshua 1:8 ).

    God bless.

    Michelle,

This is what I learned about 1 Corinthians 16:13. It says, "quit you like men." "And like a man, I've quit several times!" Just kidding, that is not what it means. It's literally one Greek word that means be a man. Moreover, it is associated with courage! Remember what God told Joshua in Joshua 1:8-11? Be of courage Joshua for I am with you wherever you go. So it's not a human courage. It's a spiritual trust that no matter what, we can face anything in life because Christ is there.
  • Finding Love Through Gods Love For Us - In Reply on Joshua 1 - 2 years ago
You sound like me 40 years ago. My love life was many betrayals. I blamed God. Rama's far as I could, BUT He came to get me at my lowest point in life (near to death). He came to my house because I wasn't going to church.

He let me see Him, I felt like I had been resuscitated. Shocked. I was accused by a pal that astrology was FALSE. 2 Timothy 3:5. I had an old Bible, never opened. I read every scripture on stars, astrologers, false teachers, and then I saw the death sentence (promise) for being an astrologer.

My salvation was at home and I heard the wind of the Holy Spirit in my house!'

Please listen to me. In Song of Solomon, God says, I AM MY BELOVEDS AND MY BELOVED IS MINE. He says it 3 times. God loves you. That love is never going to leave you. He loves you so much, His Son bled and died for you. He is waiting to be the Lover of your soul. In Genesis 24 (I call it the True Romance Chapter).

God brings the man to his wife to be. She totally waters his camels with her veil on. She was obedient and fell in love at first sight of Isaac. She returned to his house on a journey, and was married in the presence of Isaacs ailing mother and with Abraham, Isaacs Dad. Time passes and it says that Isaac died with joy and happiness of that good marriage. Read it.

This time, after you fully commit your life to Jesus; pick a Bible Teaching Church. Help out in childrens church part time. Attend Singles meetings or start one: like potluck lunches after church. Be visible to the single guys. They are looking for a "Rebekah". A woman of character.

It's not about physical beauty. It's how a man knows to respect a woman. Meet her family. Let her Dad know she will be treated with respect. You'll find your mate

For now, ask the Lord to cleanse, restore your virtue, and make old memories and betrayals FADE_and restore to patient expectations.

Rekindle your relationship with your Dad. Ask him what made him pick your mother?

Dear "Tarus", From childhood i have been ill and had a lot of problems, with various diseases. As i grew older, i became distressed and thanked YES to Jesus Christ. We witness the Lord Jesus Christ to experience that we are transformed.

    2 Corintians 5:17

Be brave and strong, Joshua 1:9 and that's how it will be. You understand that something good can come out of all the misery. The most important thing for a human being to be saved!

    God wants everyone to be saved and come to the knowledge of truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

    3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

It can often seem unfair, but it is man who is unfair. God is not Unjust, and He is not tempted by any evil. The unrighteous comes from the wickedness of man in a world full of hatred. James 1:13

Even the Word of God can cause pain if you do not live right with the Lord. For there have come days when we cannot bear to hear the right doctrine.

Romans 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

    9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

    2 Timothy 4:1.8

God bless us all when He want, Jesus loves u i in Christ.

    Ilya,

You ask: Where are the waters from above?

The moisture including rain and snow fall to our earth, from the Heavens above. God can provide us with this vital water, and can also take it away. He reminds us of this periodically, with floods, and droughts.

When you say impossible: nothing is impossible for God.

    Luke 1:37

"For with God nothing shall be impossible."

    God Bless.

Music is an instant fix for me , it is such a joy and it even helps me to get through all the boring chores of the day . How awesome must the Israelites have sounded as they sang songs of praise in David and Solomon's days .

Then it hit me. The Holy Spirit was singing it.

I get in the closet under the clothes :D

It's one of my fav songs: "I Walk The Line" by Johnny Cash. First I'm thinking I missed it, made a mistake?

He starts singing and so do I. He was singing to me! I love him so much my heart feels about to erupt. You'd think he'd prefer Handells Messiah, but He knows what we are on the inside. I always wonder if I gross Him outbut He sings a country tune with me. Happy tears!

    GENESIS 1

14 And God said, Let there be LIGHTS in the firmament of the HEAVEN to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the STARS also.

17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

No offense, but your claims are hollow. God made all provision for mankind. Read Proverbs 8:21-36

The Bible, the ENTIRE BIBLE; is about a person: JESUS CHRIST. From Genesis to Revelation.

    > IF HE HAD WANTED TO INCLUDE A CHAPTER explaining: space, what's under the oceans, land masses, and all that scientific jazz__no scientists, archaeologists, geologists, Vulcanologists, meteorologists etc would've been able to be BORN AGAIN. Science was to teach them SOMEONE MADE ALL OF THIS!!! Romans chapter 1.

In saying what you did, as Romans 1 says: You are without excuse. You've kicked the GODHEAD to the proverbial Curb.

    Genesis 1:1

    The Father purposes

The Word (Jesus) speaks. ( John 1:1)

The Spirit (Holy Spirit) Action. executes the spoken word.

You can't imagine anyone greater than you are. Worshipping stars and planets carries a death sentence. I used to be one of those people. And then Jesus appeared to me in a vision. I saw Him.

2 Timothy 3:5. I was teaching something that had no power. He's the only one who can save you from the darkness just out of our range of sight. You haven't a clue what you are missing out on: Knowing personally the Person who made all of this. Knowing his mind, his heart, his voice in your spirit. Telling you that you are LOVED.

    come back

Ilya. You're referring to the wrong book. The Bible doesn't speak of 'space/outer space', because these words were unknown then. The Web tells me the following: "The expression outer space was used as an astronomical term by Alexander von Humboldt in 1845. It was later popularized in the writings of H. G. Wells in 1901."

So, if you want to see more about outer space or "the heavens" in the Bible, then T. Levis has given you many verses to work through.

You just want an argument. I spent my time volunteering, studying the scriptures, freely; to help you. To point out scriptures for you to clearly show you GOD's infallible WORD points out the earth being round & rotation around in orbital circuit) before science ever could imagine. I am actually very interested in interstellar activity & scientific planetary discovery. We follow it rather closely. That's why I was quick to jump at your questions. (while everyone else skipped it)

The more I study GOD's WORD the more I am in awe of how much it really does say about space. I just recently found the scripture that I noted earlier That the heaven belongs to GOD but the earth ._to/for man. I would love to see a base on the moon & other planets, however that scripture hit me hard. It is GOD's not man's, what an amazing privilege to allow us to explore, yet very difficult, costly etc. i.e. The spacesuits needed for the moon trip won't even be ready for the scheduled & approved, expected missions of 2024! The more I study & witness history I've seen the Bible doesn't contradict science, science over time ends up proving the Bible is true & even logical reasons for GOD's laws.

Whenever you really would like answers for questions in life, the WORD, prayer, truth = we are here 24/7
  • Ilya - In Reply on Joshua 1:9 - 3 years ago
Genesis 1:16 Just refering to God making lights in the firmament of heaven, not a word about space

1 Cor 15:14 Nothing to do with space

Genesis 2:4 Not related at all

    Psalms 115:16

16The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

"the lack of breathable atmosphere, radiation, medical complications?"

What? Scripture is not for private interpretation.

None of the rest of the verses have at all any implication of space, please point me the exact words or phrase, where the existence of space is even remotely implied. I will point you to exact words where space is outright denied, in a second.

But some of the verses you provided actually hint at the solid nature of heavens.

    Isaiah 40:

"Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?"

First of all, not a word about other planets, second "meted out heaven with the span". It's impossible to measure something with a span that is not solid.

Job 22:12 Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!

Space has no height, it stretches in all directions, solid heavens have height.

Joel 2:10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble

How something not solid can tremble?

Now I assure you, there's plenty of scripture that directly states, that the earth is flat, unmovable, and there's no space or other planets, but I would like you to debunk first this one please:

Gen 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

    Where are the waters above?

If the verse doesn't say we don't know.

however, what we do know is in Exodus 6 Moses

told Jehovah God ( psalm 83:18) that he was circumcised in lips.

Moses felt that his speech was cut off. you can think of someone with a stuttering

defect. sometimes in old age people voice is choppy or weak. especially some more then others at the age of 100 years old or more.

What the bible does tells us is that Moses was 120 years

old when he died. Deuteronomy 31:2,14; Joshua 1:2

TO PATRICIA: if God has called you to do something, He will give you the strength to do it. Even when the flesh is weak, the Spirit is strong! Trust in Him. I don't know your situation, but I know that God's Word and daily fellowship with Him through prayer is the only way to communicate your feelings to God and for Him to talk to you. He hears your prayers if you are in fellowship with Him! He can give you strength, even when the journey is tough. He will help you not to be afraid. "What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee." Trusting God solves almost every problem in the Christian life. He knows what is best, even when we don't. Trust Him on the day to day basis; walk with him, and He will show Himself real and true to you even more than you could have imagined! The journey is real; we all face the same struggles in different ways.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." - Joshua 1:9

"The Lord is my refuge and strength, an ever present help in troublesome times. Therefore will I not fear, though the earth move and the mountains are cast into the sea." I hope this is a blessing to you! I will pray for you!
