Hello Donya. I wasn't sure to what level you wanted to go to for an explanation, hence my brief reply. I suppose your dialogue with that enquiring student has now long ended, but if you're still interested in more material on Sanctification, I would add the following:
As mentioned, 'sanctify' means 'to set apart'; having the same root as 'saint and holy'. For the believer, sanctification is generally seen in three aspects.
a. Positional Sanctification. The believer been set apart by his position in God's family. This is so of every true believer regardless of his spiritual condition because this concerns his spiritual state not his present condition (remember 1 Corinthians 6:11 was read by largely carnal Christians). This sanctification is based on Christ's Death as seen in Hebrews 10:10.
b. Experiential Sanctification. Since we have been set apart, we are to be increasingly set apart from the flesh & world in our daily experience ( 1 Peter 1:14-16). So when 'spiritual growth' is spoken about & expected in believers, it is this progressive & experiential aspect of the sanctifying work that should be our continual aspiration.
c. Future Sanctification. Also referred to as 'completed redemption'. We believe that the redemption we now have in Christ is complete in its work before God & in our lives (in the matter of release of sin's penalty & grip). Likewise, our future redemption or sanctification implies that their full meaning can only be grasped when our 'position & practise' comes into full & perfect accord when we see Jesus, raised to be with Him, & become as He is ( 1 John 3:1-3; Ephesians 5:26,27; Jude 1:24,25): This is our Redemption/Sanctification completed. Hope this 'extra' will assist you for the future.
It was heartening to read something of your work. Having done some ministry in Pakistan, I can well appreciate the vigilance & discretion required when sharing with folk. May much fruit be borne as the Spirit leads you all.
Back in those days Satan was allowed to traverse dimensions de facto for so did GOD. GOD a just, fair righteous GOD for every negative there is a positive. Satan and angels (messengers) good and bad traversed earth unnoticed for they are in our exact image, some are still allowed by GOD Hebrew 13:2. In the temptation of CHRIST, HE ordered Satan behind HIM ( Luke 4:8) and that is where Satan is held by Michael until he is cast out again to be here defacto along with the 7k that refused to be born of woman to reign for 5 months. The 7k fallen angels were here defacto impregnated the women to corrupt the seed of Abraham from which umbilical cord to umbilical cord CHRIST would come. Satan's spirit is still allowed and other evil spirits to possess people but they are no longer allowed to traverse dimensions in person until 6th trump ( Revelation 12:7). We know this because CHRIST and the disciples cast out many. Disciples had trouble with a stubborn one; the lunatic -Satan's very spirit. GOD allows this; for HE wants us to defeat them; CHRIST gave us the power to defeat all our enemies as long as we have CHRIST as head of us. Luke 10:19. If we discern a evil spirit we are to not argue with them but rebuke them Jude 1:9
Thanks again brother S. Spencer for those very worthy comments. As I went through the Scriptures you shared, my mind was directed to another great stalwart of the faith & the Gospel, Gen. William Booth of the Salvation Army. I realize that the Salvos, in these days, seem to have lost that fire that Booth instilled in them, majoring more on the social side of Christianity, but here are a couple of his well-known quotes, written probably towards the end of the 19th Century:
"I consider that the chief dangers which confront the coming century (i.e. the 20th) will be religion without the Holy Ghost, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, politics without God, and heaven without hell."
Here we are in the 21st Century: no truer words spoken then - and the world will depart increasingly further away from God, His Son, His Spirit, & the Gospel.
"Most Christians would like to send their recruits to Bible college for five years. I would like to send them to hell for five minutes. That would do more than anything else to prepare them for a lifetime of compassionate ministry."
It has been recorded that he often shared these words to those being prepared for the Gospel ministry - that their vision of perishing souls should not be blurred by the difficult circumstances they would face or the evil bearing upon them.
May the thoughts given in Jude 1:20-25 be our prayer for one another here on this Site, & particularly as we see wickedness in the world run rampant & the thoughts of men are continually evil. Every blessing brother.
Michael the archangel seems to be a powerful militant angel in the behalf of Israel.
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of "THY PEOPLE" and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Daniel 12:1.
Daniel 10:13.
Daniel 10:21.
However we know he is not Christ.
We can easily refute that here in Jude and in the book of Luke.
Here in Jude 1:8-9. you see Michael the archangel gives respect to dominion and says THE LORD REBUKE YOU.
Jude 1:9. Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
Here in Luke 4:8. We see Jesus who created all things rebuke Satan.
"And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."
Michael the archangel is a created being.
"The Angel of the Lord is the pre incarcerated Christ. Who created all things.
Colossians 1:16. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
John 1:3. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Revelation 1:5 is about Jesus; He is the prince of the kings of the world. The word prince used is the Greek word archon meaning; ruler, governor, leader, leading man, no authority higher. God placed Jesus above all, Philippians 2:9, and He will reign until all enemies are put under His feet, 1 Corinthians 15:25.
Michael is one of the chief princes, the only one called archangel, Jude 1:9 and the prince of the people of the house of Israel, Daniel 10:13-21. At the end we see that Michael will stand up, Daniel 12:1, also in Revelation 12:7-12 Michael and other angels cast Satan out of heaven down to this earth permanently.
The times of Noah were horrendous as in Genesis 6:11. As you said sons of God are used 5 times in OT Genesis 6Job 1Job 2 and Job 38 all referring to angels. It is used 6 times in the NT John 1Romans 8Philippians 2 and 1 John 3, my understanding is referring to those who have accepted and have faith in Jesus.
There are many opinions on fallen angels, devils/demons. There are evil beings on this earth today, we see in Daniel battles that may be going on that we are not aware of, Daniel 10. There is a set of angels that were different and for what they did, God locked them in chains of darkness until the judgment 2 Peter 2:4Jude 1:6, and others can still roam the earth.
In verses 6:4 daughters of men having children, they became mighty men of old. The Hebrew word for old is m-'-w-lm, meaning defined as long duration, antiquity, futurity, for ever, ever, everlasting, evermore, perpetual, old, ancient, or world. It was translated everlasting 110 times, forever 136 times.
Giants we see before and after the flood as said in Genesis 6:4 "and also after that". The word giant is Nephilim and also the Rephaim (or Rephaites, the terrible ones), You can find them throughout the OT and their descriptions are not just a tall big man, Numbers 13:33Amos 2:9 and more.
When God created everything the seed is after his kind, a dog will have a dog, a bear will have a bear, and so on, a man and woman may have a tall big man but it will not be a giant. Angels can on earth have a body that can eat, and drink, Genesis 18, fiscally wrestle Genesis 32 and we are told how we should entertain strangers because they may be an angel, Hebrews 13.
Just a few things you may look at. If an angel left his first estate and came down to earth could he mate? Was that why God locked them in darkness and other bad angels and Satan can still roam the earth? After the flood, there were only 8 where did these giants come from?
Hi Suze. You are correct, as you noted that Isaiah chapter 14 is written against the King of Babylon (just as Ezekiel chapter 28 pertains to the Prince/King of Tyre/Tyrus).
In both accounts, you will note that those monarchs were elevated to an incredibly high position, both in terms of their kingdoms (Babylonia & Phoenicia), their wealth & power, & also in their own eyes. Yet, we see some strange descriptions of them which simply cannot be applied to an earthly ruler (e.g. falling from Heaven, I will ascend into Heaven, exalt my throne above the stars of God. And to Tyre: having been in Eden, anointed cherub, perfect in all thy ways till iniquity was found in thee).
Some see that none other than earthly rulers are spoken of here, but others see the reason for their pride, belief in their invincibility, & eventual downfall of these kings as pertaining to the spirit that controlled them. It is as when Jesus spoke against Peter ( Matthew 16:23); Jesus was certainly looking at Peter, but heard Satan's voice coming through again (as in Matthew 4:3-10), a spirit pressing Peter to blurt out those words that were in opposition to Jesus' Words that the Cross was truly God's Plan. When one utters words that are contrary to God's Word, believing them to be true, those words are Satan-generated, for the enemy will always seek to distort the Truth (remember Eden?).
Even Jesus spoke about Satan's fall from Heaven in John 10:18, "I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven", though unsure whether Jesus specifically quoted the Isaiah passage. Yet, there was that occasion when Satan & his angels were cast out from Heaven ( Revelation 12:9; 2 Peter 2:4; Jude 1:6). Therefore, I too understand that those OT passages have references to both those rulers, but also to the satanic spirit that moved in them, hence the very specific references to Satan being cast out as well. And yet, Satan will once again manifest himself mightily in the person of Anti-Christ ( 2 Thessalonians 2:3,4).
In April 1990 after 16 years of marriage and four children. My life was ruined because of alcoholism. After an argument, I left home to sort my self out. Although I had tried in the past, I just couldn't change.
Why is my life a mess?
In desperation I called out to God-"The sun rises and sets every day for thousands of years but I am only here for a short life. Why am I here, why did you make me, why is my life such a mess? God if you are there please help me! I went home and found a leaflet in my letterbox asking, "Who is God? The one who answers of course!"
Immediate and remarkable change
I went to a meeting and heard the full Gospel message. I believed in God, but I never seen or heard evidence of his power in any other church. When it was shown to me from the Bible what I must do to be saved, I decided to be baptized by full immersion according to the scriptures ( Acts 2:38).
I awoke at 3am the next morning to feel an amazing peace and joy come over me and I spoke in tongues. From that moment my life change. My marriage healed, aggression and alcoholism healed. God proved himself to me - why not you.
Healing
In February 2013. I was diagnosed with a tumor. "The surgeon told me" The tumor is very close to your right eye, after your operation you may lose your sight in the right eye. I went in to hospital for keyhole surgery and they could not find any tumor it disappeared, thank you Lord. I thank God for he is a God who hears and answers prayer.
Having a personal relationship with God is the promise of the bible. The New Testament of the bible describes a church that changed the world. It talks about salvation as a foundational experience from an answering God.
In Jude 1:3 (KJV)
Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
1 Peter 1:5 - "...salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."
In the LAST TIME. It doesn't salvation is given on Earth.
1 Cor 9:24-27 "run the race", not the 'race was already won.'
1 Peter 1:13 "...hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;"
HOPE to the END. It doesn't say NOW. Grace that IS TO BE brought. It doesn't say NOW.
Joshua 24:15 "choose you this day whom ye will serve"
CHOOSE. It's a daily decision. Freewill is not stripped away.
Matthew 7:21-23
"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."
Not all believers are saved and not all who claim to be followers.
Matthew 12:32 "...but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come."
SHALL NOT BE FORGIVEN. I read this and know what it says.
James 2:19 "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."
Believing alone isn't enough according to this verse.
Hebrews 10:26 "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"
This is a warning, it is clear, and I understand it. I don't want to test God.
James 2:14-26 "...faith, if it hath not works, is dead..."
John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."
Jude 1:21 "KEEP YOURSELVES IN THE LOVE OF GOD, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life."
These verses are the Words of God.
I read, pray for understanding, and know in my heart what these verses say and mean. If another believer says "No, that's not the truth, believe ME instead" then that is a huge red flag of something that doesn't come from God. God bless.
There are three kinds of hearers who never get saved and only one kind of hearer who gets saved.
Luke 8
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
Way side hearers don't give God a second thought.
Those whose seed is received on the rock have no root, which is the Lord Jesus ( Revelation 22:16
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.)
Those who receive the seed among thorns have no fruit ( Jude 1:12
These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;)
Good ground hearers get saved. They have the root and offspring of David. They have the fruit of the Spirit. And they have the Lord Jesus who will keep them from falling away ( Jude 1:24
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,)
Hopefully these verses are helpful : Luke 10:17-20, Isaiah 14:12-32, Daniel 10, through Daniel 11:1, Daniel 12, Jude 1:9, 2Corinthian 11:13-14, Revelation 12, compare books of Luke,
From what I gather, you believe you can walk away from Jesus Christ. Let me ask you this: will Jesus ever walk away from you? You referenced Jude 1:21, but that verse does not have anything to do with God forcing us or not forcing us to remain in Him. I am going to assume that you are saved? If so, once God saved you, are you now in control of your salvation (keeping yourself saved), or are you being kept by God's power?
You say that "He will not force us to remain in Him," and my response to that would be that God does not have to force any believer to remain in Him. A true believer remains in Him, not because they are forced to, but because they have God's Spirit in them, and it is His Spirit that causes them to remain (MENO) permanently in Him.
Now, I belong to Christ. I have been born of His Spirit. However, I still have choice and I still have free will. What does that mean? Does that mean I can be disobedient to Christ because I have free choice? Well, I can put it to the test and exercise my free choice or free will, but if I truly belong to Christ, He's going to deal with me. And if I truly belong to Christ and one day I decide I don't want to be saved anymore and that I'm going to just denounce the whole thing and walk away, then I was never saved to begin with.
For me personally, I have to differentiate between my flesh and the Spirit of Christ that lives in me. My flesh will never submit to the things of the Lord and will always want to get away. But the Spirit of Christ who lives in me, He is the one who energizes me and causes me to never "walk away." A person who professes to belong to Christ but later on walks away is a person who never belonged to Christ to begin with.
Hebrews 10:26 "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"
1 Peter 1:13 "...hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;"
1 Peter 1:5 - "...salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."
Joshua 24:15 "choose you this day whom ye will serve"
John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."
Matthew 12:32 "...but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come."
James 2:14-26 "...faith, if it hath not works, is dead..."
Jude 1:21 "KEEP YOURSELVES IN THE LOVE OF GOD, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life."
James 5:19-20 "BRETHREN, if any of YOU do ERR FROM THE TRUTH, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
James 2:19 "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."
1 Corinthians 9:26-27 "I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so FIGHT I, not as one that beateth the air: But I KEEP UNDER MY BODY, and BRING IT INTO SUBJECTION: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a CASTAWAY."
Hebrews 10:29
"Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?"
Yet Michael the archangel, when he was contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, he did not bring against him a railing accusation, but basically said, The Lord rebuke you.
So Michael the archangel, according to a writing called the Assumption of Moses, an apocryphal book, which means the authority of these books cannot be proven one way or another.
But in the early first century A.D., it was used as an historical document, as the Jews believed some of the things mentioned in the document were historically true.
And what Jude is doing is he is quoting from the Assumption of Moses that tells us that Michael the archangel was in charge of the burial of the body of Moses, because Satan wanted to take the dead body of Moses and mock it and mistreat it.
So Michael the archangel was sent out. But he didn't fight with Satan. He says the Lord rebuke you. He didn't rebuke Satan because he had a respect for glory and authority. He knew he did not have the authority. He knew the Lord did. That's a good lesson for us as well.
So they spoke evil of glories, or angels. But even Michael the archangel didn't do that with Satan. He said the Lord will take care of you!
There may be several opinions on this, but does the bible tell us where He was? Jesus said He would be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth, Matthew 12:40. And He said He would be killed, and after three days rise again, Mark 8:31. One theory starts with 1 Peter 3:18-22. Looking at the context of the chapter it is about doing good and refraining from evil and it is good to suffer for righteousness to have a clean conscience.
If we look at these verses Jesus was put to death in the flesh but quickened by the Spirit. Jesus was raised from the dead in a glorified body and the same Spirit of Him that raised Jesus will raise those who have Christ in them Romans 8:10-11.
Jesus went and preached to spirits in prison who were disobedient in the days of Noah. As far as I know nowhere in scripture is man or saints called spirits, or the dead be in prison, I may be wrong. Why would Jesus only be preaching to those before the flood? The only ones I know that scripture says are in prison in chains of darkness are the angels who left their first estate 2 Peter 2:4Jude 1:6. In the verses, there is nothing to indicate a time frame in which Jesus did this.
My understanding is Jesus was in the grave/tomb until His Father raised Him on the day of the Feast of First Fruits on the first day of the week before the sun came up. There is more scripture like Ephesians 4:8-10 that you can study for your understanding, keep in context of the entire chapter with an open mind and led by the Holy Spirit.
There are some that supposedly have a deeper understanding of the word of God that has crept in the church.
Strategically they converse with you, " Not to convert you but to use the platform you provide them to confuse the simple.
They stand in the way of salvation for those who seek Christ through his word.
ENCOURAGEMENT.
However God is aware of Satan's tares in the congregation, And he that the Lord calls WILL come to him!!
Jude 1:4. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Galatians 1:8-9. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
2 John 1:10-11. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
Encouragement!!
The gates of hell shall not prevail against the Church.
By the way "en pneumati" means "in spirit" and is pronounced "ehn pneh-vma-ti" by Greeks. The first syllable is toned. The letter p is always pronounced, also the vowel u after vowels a,e is always pronounced as "v" in modern Greek.
I welcome your attention to, and suggested corrections or improvements of any comment I submit in this forum.
I have discovered that different Biblical Hebrew and Greek Dictionaries often differ slightly in the spellings and pronunciations of certain words. I have found this especially true when consulting different Hebrew dictionaries.
The main Biblical dictionary I use is "Vine's Complete Expository Dictionary of the Old and New Testaments" (Thomas Nelson, 1984). I also use two other online Bible dictionary websites. Once in a while the spellings differ between these resources.
Additionally, for the word "Ghost" in the expression, "praying in the Holy Ghost" (Jude v.20), I provided only only the base root word rendering, not the grammatical and literal spelling of the word as it appears in the Scriptural context.
In my post, I submitted the root word rendering of "" (transliterated "pneuma"; pronounced "pnyoo'-mah"). But, the actual spelling as recorded in the verse is (transliterated "Pneumati").
Of interest, the two Greek professors during my seminary years often pronounced certain Greek words differently. Who knows how Jude actually pronounced "" during the first century. I'd almost guarantee he did not pronounce it like we do today.
When preaching or teaching, one of my favorite statements when reading certain names in the Bible, particularly those recorded in Romans Chapter Sixteen, is: "When I get to Heaven, I'm going to look these people up and apologize to them for the way I butchered the pronunciations of their names!"
You wouldn't mind if i make a small linguistic correction, wouldn't you? "Pneuma' is pronounced as "pnh-vmah" by Greeks not pnyoomah. It means spirit, in ancient Greek air and wind as well. Again sorry. God bless you.
praying in The HOLY GHOST; Jude v.20 = Both terms, "GHOST" and "SPIRIT", translate from the same Greek noun root (transliterated "pneuma"; pronounced "PNYOO-mah"), and derives the English element "pneumo-" referring to air, respiration, and the lungs.
GOD personally and intimately interacts with HIS people in the PERSON of The HOLY SPIRIT "Which is given unto us" ( Rom. 5:5), and "Which dwelleth in us" ( 2Tim. 1:14).
Praying "in The HOLY GHOST" (cp. Eph. 6:18) is just as required as praying to The FATHER in JESUS's NAME ( Jn. 14:6 & 13-14; Heb. 10:19; 1Tim. 2:5). Of note, both LORD JESUS CHRIST and The HOLY SPIRIT are the only AGENTS through which GOD The FATHER hears and attends to the saints' and the church's prayers ( Eph. 2:18):
"Through HIM (LORD JESUS CHRIST) we both (Paul and the Ephesian Church) have access {the privilege of approaching and gaining an audience} by one SPIRIT unto The FATHER."
Additionally, The SPIRIT aids our praying even during the most difficult situations ( Rom. 8:26):
"The SPIRIT also helpeth our infirmities (weakness; feebleness): for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but The SPIRIT itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."
During these dire situations, The SPIRIT prays on the saint's behalf when the saint does not know what to pray for in a particular situation, nor how to verbally articulate the prayer.
Moreover, both LORD JESUS CHRIST ( Rom. 8:34; Heb. 7:25) and The HOLY SPIRIT ( Rom. 8:26-27) guarantee GOD The FATHER hears the saints' prayers through THEIR Intercessory Work.
Often, theologians describe The HOLY GHOST as the Third PERSON of the GODHEAD TRINITY. The reader must not assume this supposed "third" ranking attributes to HIM a lesser degree of status.
The expression, "The HOLY SPIRIT", identifies the Same DIVINE PERSON within the TRIUNE TRINITY of The GODHEAD which consists of The PERSONS of GOD The FATHER, GOD The SON LORD JESUS CHRIST, and GOD The HOLY GHOST (SPIRIT).
It means apostasia a "defection from the truth." ( Apostasy).
There is many opostates in our midst today. I wouldn't call them members of the Church, they're not called out. These can be called tares as seen in Mathew 13:24-30. You see Jude mention of certain men crept in our midst in
Jude 1:3-4.
It was going on in Pauls day. Acts 20:29-31.
Jesus warned his disciples of this in Matthew 7:15.
So Apostasy isn't something new to the Church.
But 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3. has a future climax.
vs.2) That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
vs.3) Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Jesus asks in Luke "Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find the faith on the earth?" The answer is No.
We have 2 departures going on here,
1) The organization has departed from the faith.
2) The true Church has departed from the Earth.
There can be no total Apostasy until the Church is removed.
This notes what must happen before the great tribulation.
1Corinthians 4, understanding 1st pray & read: James 1:5,
1Corinthians 4:1 "Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of CHRIST, and the stewards of the mysteries of GOD." references: Mark 4:11, in context Mark 4:1-34, Romans 11:25, Romans 16:25-27, Ephesians 3, Revelation 10:7, some Old Testament references: Isaiah 53, Psalms 22, Zechariah 13:6, Leviticus 16:17, John 19,
For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
Rom 2:28 (KJV)
But the inward man is the Spirit:
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Rom 2:29 (KJV)
We perfect holiness in the fear of God (Afraid to Sin) by cleansing ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit:
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2 Cor 7:1 (KJV)
This cleansing is done with washing by the word of God:
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:26 (KJV)
Man is spirit, soul and body which must be blameless when JESUS CHRIST comes back:
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Ths 5:23 (KJV)
The Spirit of man is the Candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly - Proverbs 20:27
The washing of the regeneration is with the renewing of the Holy Ghost - Titus 3:5
Building up your most holy faith praying in the holy ghost - Jude 1:20
This way the inward man is renewed day by day.
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
Every blessing sister.
God bless.
God bless.

The times of Noah were horrendous as in Genesis 6:11. As you said sons of God are used 5 times in OT Genesis 6 Job 1 Job 2 and Job 38 all referring to angels. It is used 6 times in the NT John 1 Romans 8 Philippians 2 and 1 John 3, my understanding is referring to those who have accepted and have faith in Jesus.
There are many opinions on fallen angels, devils/demons. There are evil beings on this earth today, we see in Daniel battles that may be going on that we are not aware of, Daniel 10. There is a set of angels that were different and for what they did, God locked them in chains of darkness until the judgment 2 Peter 2:4 Jude 1:6, and others can still roam the earth.
The word giant is Nephilim and also the Rephaim (or Rephaites, the terrible ones), You can find them throughout the OT and their descriptions are not just a tall big man, Numbers 13:33 Amos 2:9 and more.
Interesting subject,
God bless,

Repent= the act of leaving what GOD prohibited & returning to what HE commanded.
Revelation 2:5, Matthew 3:2, Luke 13:3-9, Exodus 20:14,
Where does it say to be sorry, because of our trespass?
Remember the woman: John 8:1-12, Psalms 130:4,
James 2, Matthew 25:31-46, Ezekiel 33:11,
Luke 9:23, Matthew 16:24, Mark 8:34, Romans 8:13, Matthew 10:28, Colossians 1:10-23, Ephesians 5:1-20, Jude 1:24-25,
Hopefully these are helpful
ALL. All means all.
1Chronicles 21:27, Hebrews 1:1-14, please read whole chapter,
From what I gather, you believe you can walk away from Jesus Christ.
Jude 1:24. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
1 Peter 1:13 "...hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;"
1 Cor 9:24-27 "run the race"
Here is what I can share on Jude 1:9:
The only ones I know that scripture says are in prison in chains of darkness are the angels who left their first estate 2 Peter 2:4 Jude 1:6.
God bless,

Beware of doctrines demons.
Matthew 16:18.
God bless.
By the way "en pneumati" means "in spirit" and is pronounced "ehn pneh-vma-ti" by Greeks. The first syllable is toned. The letter p is always pronounced, also the vowel u after vowels a,e is always pronounced as "v" in modern Greek.
God bless you.
Sincerely, Phil ( 2Tim. 2:15).
You wouldn't mind if i make a small linguistic correction, wouldn't you? "Pneuma' is pronounced as "pnh-vmah" by Greeks not pnyoomah. It means spirit, in ancient Greek air and wind as well. Again sorry. God bless you.
But 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3. has a future climax.
vs.2) That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
vs.3) Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
God bless.

This is how i see it, Since The Lord Jesus died and bled for all humanity
(every person there is) does that not make us special?
For anyone to think that it was for one single person or race, that would be wrong.
He rose from the dead/the flesh of sin and death.
For His Righteousness
His Forgiveness
His Grace
His Will
His Spirit
A Free Gift for everyone
I believe a true Christian/saint are those who are saved solely by The Blood of Jesus Christ
by His Good work for us.
Are there mistakes in The KJV? Grave mistakes!
See Jude 1:4 you cannot change a Holy thing into a bad thing, it should say, they exchanged
The Grace of God for.....
(or they left a good thing for a bad thing)
Also in Romans 1:23 and 25
Psalms 4:2
See Mark 3:30
Also in Galations 3:13 Should say "being made a sacrifice for us", not a curse.
See also 1 Corinthians 12:3; Matt. 12:32
Also 2 Corinthians 4:10 the dying of our flesh; see Heb 10:10 He died once
2 Cor. 5:21 Our Sacrifice for sin- He hath made Him "A Sacrifice for us"
Only The Holy Spirit can work miracles- so in Rev.13:14; Rev. 16:14; Rev. 19:21 should say signs and wonders.
See Matt. 24:24 or even schemes (Gog)
Also in 2 Thess. 2:9 should say, "with all deceivableness", instead of power.
See 2 Thess. 2:10
In order to find mistakes in bibles, i believe, you need to find other scriptures to back it up.
I in no way want to add or take from His Word wrongfully in any way, shape or form.
I also do not believe that Jesus had long hair or looked like a hippy;
He is Risen from the flesh, He is not in pictures.
He comes in Spirit in us.
God Bless!
How do you pray in the Holy Spirit?
