Depicts the power of the Lord God and His judgements. May seem harsh, but we must trust in Him in all things. For we don't know as much as we think we do.
Our country is racked with the Pandemic. Our economy has fallen, many have no jobs. We have left our first love.
Our current leadership in Washington has practically abandoned Israel unto itself.
Prayer is our only hope and the soon coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in the clouds.
I don't think so. I read.... 2This is the land that yet remaineth: all the borders of the Philistines, and all Geshuri, 3From Sihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted to the Canaanite: five lords of the Philistines .....I think that Israel's land was meant to border with the Philistines, and the Amorites.
Wait... so God gives Samson the power to murder 1,030 people in this chapter and chapter 14 (somehow committing 1,000 of which by bludgeoning people with the skull of a donkey), then rewards him with water immediately after to stop him from dying of thirst? None of these people were even involved in the thing Samson is trying to "avenge", yet the God who commands "Thou shalt not kill" condones it
Samson was called by God to start the deliverance of the Israelites from the hands of the Philistines. He was fully equiped to carry out his purpose. God equips us for our purpose in life.
God has always been Faithful, although we often lean on our own understanding. We need the Lord even more now, His word has reached the entire earth, let us pray to give Him Glory and Honor and Praise.
We all love the story of Samson:when the children hear the story today, they think maybe thru him that they too might be a hero and show Gods power.Samson gives us all strength thru God.
i agree with you Sarah Addy. Even in prayer we can be prideful and not ask our Father fully what we need because we are afraid how he might perceive us or we are afraid that we won't hear our prayer. Ask and you shall receive.
God reminds us that He know our needs but we have to ask Him for His help so we don't become prideful in our own strength so we remember it is God who strenthens us and we are to be reliant on God for His provision and His strength.
A good picture of remembering humility.
Proverbs 11:13, Micah 7:5,
Deuteronomy 7:3-6,
Yet GOD was doing a work Judges 14:4, Judges 15:20,
New Testament Ephesians 5:25,28,33, 1Peter 1:22, Colossians 3:19, 1 Corinthians 7:14,
Hopefully these are helpful in your search
