Discuss Lamentations 4

Further discussion on children and destruction in scriptures

God has no joy in the destruction of the wicked. ( Ezekiel 18:23; 33:11). So He also; by default would have none in the death of the innocent.

Continuing on the theme of such calls for death of everyone; we cannot ignore the child sacrifice that was so prevalent in the nations surrounding Israel. Thus; it is certainly plausable that these children would have died a far worse and more tortuous death if they had been allowed to live in that manner. It is also possible that God has chosen to save some who He knew otherwise would take up Pagan customs themselves and more innocent life should they be allowed to live to adulthood. Such postulations are hardly satisfactory or certainly not enjoyable as some sort of curiousity or mystery. These hard verses cannot always be ignored either; even if we cannot understand; we trust God has some plan or purpose for it; just has He does for famines; wars; disease; etc that take innocent lives every day.

We can gain some wisdom when we look at God's chastisements of Israel itself such as in Lamentations. Such evils were worse as described in that book for those who endured the famine; ate their own children; etc then dying in battle ( Lamentations 4:9).

Warnings of curses and horrible results are spelled out in Deuteronomy; and we need to see the progress in a society as it breaks down (just look around today). The Prophet Jeremiah known as the "weeping prophet" as well as others were in great anguish seeing visions of the destruction to come.

We also need to look at situations such as with Rahab. (Joshua chapter 2). Proper respect and fear of God along with proper action with God's people was able to procure favor in the coming invasion; for her and her entire immediate family. She also later was an important part of the descendants of Israel. This shows repentance and along with others in scripture; a decision to become one of God's people.

Revelation: First and second half (continued).

Assuming the church is gone; as far as the operation of the Holy Spirit as the restrainer now stands or as salt and light we see the familiar war; famine and pestilence pattern of judgments gallop forth with the seal judgments. This time of "Jacob's trouble" ( Jeremiah 30:7) also contains a promise that eventually they will be delivered out of it.

Verses on war; famine and pestilence

Jeremiah 24:10 is one of many passages in the Old Testament prophetic books warning of the sword; famine and pestilence. At least two out of 3 of these judgments are proclaimed in numerous other passages such as Lamentations 4:9; Ezekiel 5:12; and many other places in these same books. The Gospels also warn of such events in the birth pangs warnings in Matthew 24:8.

There is a basic change that I have noted between the attitude in Revelation 6 and that in Revelation 19. Men who feared God and hid from him will now openly fight against Christ; and the blasphemy of Antichrist (no doubt taking credit for killing the 2 prophets as well as ending the misery they caused and apparently having been healed from a deadly wound) will have much to do with that. The description in Zechariah 11:17 gives detail of this. (see also Psalm 2).

Judgment does two things; it brings forth fruit to maturity for those who are of God's children and hardens hearts further of the unregenerate. Psalm 40 indicates that "many will see and fear" (verse 3). I postulate that may be a hidden or veiled reference to the Rapture. But certainly those who do wake up will see the signs and wonders that the 2 prophets have and will believe.

    Acts 1:10-20

This took place in a Upper Room. A prophesy Peter found about Judas Iscariot is discussed by the disciples. They are about to appoint a new 12th disciple.

I believe the Holy Spirit showed Peter of the prophesies about Judas Iscariot's betrayal. Jesus knew of the prophesy; He's God. It would explain lack of closeness with Judas.

The Commentary Page on this website says the prophesy is about Judas Iscariot.

This is one of those studies that you have to read at a snails pace, all of the center column references to get a clearer picture of prophesy with present circumstances.

I'm going to list the passages and let the scholars in here piece it together with Holy Spirit, our Helper: helping us rightly divide the Word of Truth.

    Acts 1: 10:20

    John 18:3

    Matthew 26:55-56

    Psalms 41:9, 55:23 (The Prophesy)

Isaiah 53:7 (Ch 53 all about Jesus)

    Daniel 9:26

    Lamentations 4:20

    Leviticus 25:15

    Deuteronomy 16:9

Seems like the media pushes all the blame for racism on whites.

Why do they hate whites who printed Bibles and built churches? Europe and the USA did

Bible book Song of Solomon 5:10 - My beloved is WHITE white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand.

I am curious if the Lord made a mistake when he put whites in Europe and blacks in Africa?

Deuteronomy 32:8 When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.

Jesus said otherwise in the Bible. Luke 19:10, Acts 17:26, John 12:46 - he came to save the lost of all people, not just who you claim are your 'own people'. Why do you care about skin color so much? Why not eye color? Why not height or weight? We're all individuals of equal value, not members of fictional political tribes. Satan is deceiving people into believing they are unequal and trying to divide everyone and some are believing the lie.

Lamentations 4:7 - you know Jesus was from Nazareth, right? This says they're white so that counterbalances the assumption that because someone's hair is like wool it must be black. Other races can have wool-like hair too. There's plenty of hair variety within the races.

Who generally printed the Bibles and built all the churches?

    Sub Sahara Africa? NO

    Asia? NOT until recently

Europe and the USA = Yes

Many "black Hebrews" claim whites are the children of the devil via Esau and the Canaanites via the Hittites.

Some even advocate the killing of whites to fulfill the command of the Lord to kill the Canaanites

Genesis 25:25 And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau..

Genesis 26:34 And Esau was forty years old when he took to wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Bashemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite:

Deuteronomy 20:17 But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee:

John 16:2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

Luke 22:36 Then said he (Jesus) unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Look into this I am not making this up.

you are in error. If the Jews were Israelites, Jesus would have treated them so. I suggest you actually read the word of Jesus! Read John 10, Revelation chapters 2 and 3 and so much more. The Father took the Identity of the Israelites. The word Jew does not appear until 2nd Kings 16:6.
