Yes, it is sad, Richard. At this time, we have the historical record and the Bible to inform us of this more comprehensively than those in ancient times, since we have a longer period of time to view the sinfulness of man. But this also shows us the relentless sinfulness of Satan, since He continues to live throughout history, whereas, people lived and died throughout history. Satan will not relent in His evil ways until He is forced into the lake of fire along with all of His minions.

We must not underestimate Satan's utter wickedness and total intent on bringing to naught the human race. He wants us obliterated before the face of God. he wants us to be completely dis-enfranchised of the place God has allotted to humans. He wants to cause all believers to fall away from faith in Jesus. He wants to cause the gospel of Jesus nullified and discredited as it is brought forth by believing witnesses to unbelievers. He wants to destroy the fellowship of believers and corrupt the doctrines of the faith so that believers are fooled into believing false teachings and doctrines of demons. He wants to entrap as many as he can into idolatry and pagan/occult practices. He wants to turn our children against the faith taught them by believing parents. He wants to entrap as many as he can into addictions that will master these people. He wants to rob, kill, and destroy.

We are to be watchful and prayerful. We are to be bold and strong in our faith and to love one another deeply. We are charged with guard our doctrine and faith against false ideas and heretical viewpoints. We are to resist the devil and flee from immorality. We are to be humble before God and sober minded. So, in these ways we can stand firm in our relationship with Jesus and defeat the wiles and schemes of the evil one.

This chapter carries the statutes (according to verse 27) showing results of all those evils committed by the surrounding nations; hence bringing the wrath of God and destruction. These acts seem to encompass this whole chapter and include uncovering nakedness in general (v. 1-18); adultery (v. 20); child sacrifice (v. 21); sodomy (v. 22); and bestiality (v. 23). The land was said to "vomit out its inhabitants" (v. 25) with a warning for Israel of the same thing happening in verse 28.

Therefore; we see the results of these sins in pagan nations in general (certainly the same sort of things have occurred throughout the earth in such societies). God in His appointed time destroyed those nations and Israel wasn't immune to the same response from the Lord.

In addition to this; many giant offspring (first mentioned in Genesis 6) had their offspring (whose "ites" were listed among 10 giant nations in Deuteronomy). These represented areas the Lord utterly wiped out; and no doubt inspired the idol worship of others who were enamored by their supernatural strength and accomplishments; which certainly fit in to Satan's scheme.

Sadly; all these sins were to affect Israel and or Judah after these admonitions. God had warned them before this; when they were still in exile that they were not to follow the customs or adopt the gods of these nations which would be a snare unto them; neither intermarry. This warning was also given to Solomon; who went from the richest man on earth who had the honor of rebuilding the Temple and had praise and respect from his neighbors and peace with the nations to a man of compromise at best. All his promises of descendants ruling would have to be deferred until the Messiah came. Satan when he couldn't succeed in corrupting all the seed of men would usually succeed in bringing down those who could have maintained Israel as a great nation. The Lord foresaw all this but it is sad to see man's disobedience throughout scripture.

Hello, I assume you're posting publicly to get others' input.

We are all born in the image of God and are valuable and special. Loving others is an important commandment from God. But some confuse love with sex. Loving doesn't mean you have a pass to commit sinful sexual acts. I can love my family and not desire to be intimate with them- that would be very evil. I can love my literal next door neighbor, but refrain from cheating and having an affair.

Homosexuality is a choice and acting on it is a sin. No one is born that way. No child is born with a desire to commit sodomy. It is a sick, disgusting, and evil act. So is bestiality. Those who claim they have 'no choice' but to commit a disgusting sin is believing a lie. Sexual preference is always subject to change, depending on the person and the desires at the time. Anyone can be tempted by anything depending on the situation.

The common justifications people use for the sin of homosexuality can used for other sins too, like if someone has a desire to have affairs, he might say it's wrong to deny himself what he desires to do. And who is anyone to tell him he can't 'love' another man's wife? I was 'born that way' and it's his 'right'. He even feels an 'obligation' to express his identity and be who he is. This fallacy of attempting to justify sin is the same as the homosexuality justification attempts.

God didn't make anyone 'that way'. We weren't designed in the womb with such sexual desires. Things influence people's choices later in life, like their upbringing- especially if by a single parent, especially if abused, and if they have a particular opportunity. Many people when faced with the temptation of sin will choose the sin then will change their identity to help attempt to justify the sin, but it doesn't justify it. It's a choice like anything else. God knows our hearts- we can't fool Him.

I believe that the 1611 King James Bible is inspired by GOD.

I am 64 years old. I have several family members that are LGBT persons.

Thus, I have always been interested in the Science of LGBT persons.

I have learned that GOD not only created the heavens and the earth, the animals and humans, GOD also creates Lesbians and Gays.

GOD creates blacks, Hispanics, etc, by choosing the parents, grandparents, etc of each person on Earth.

GOD gave us FREE WIIL and GOD holds FREE WILL very sacred.

Science believes that 2% of the babies born are Homosexual.

Science believes that an embryo goes through a series of steps to become a new born baby. Sometimes, due to stress or anxiety or fear, those steps can get messed up in several different ways, thus creating a Homosexual Child.

Science has discovered a whole family that produce a Huge number "considering the norm" of babies that are both male and female.

Once these "special" children reach puberty, they are given a free will choice to become either male or female, then Science helps them to be more normal by surgically removing those sexual organs that the teen no longer wants.

If GOD thru his choice of parents, creates a Homosexual baby, and Jesus has died for the sins of all of us.

Does not GOD and Jesus live those homosexual babies that they have created!!

In Leviticus. This is before Jesus died on the cross. I would like to point out also the reason for Jesus 's sacrifice to allow us to repent our sins. That is why nobody burns offerings and that is why you can be forgiven of your sins by allowing Jesus into your heart and accepting him as your savior. On top of that, many people act with surprising hatred towards gay people this is not His word. I have to apologize --I could have swore that it was in the book of Romans --since I started reading the Bible as a child I see they have done away with the Thee's & Thou's etc --I wish they would have left it alone-- the King James Bible is no longer the King James more or less--the reason I said the Catholic church wrote the bible is because of all the changes -I know the catholic church doesn't use the real Bible they made they'er own laws which are worthless --in grade school they teach evolution & creation together --I pulled out the first bible that I have ever bought and I was floored that it was The New American Standard --30 years ago I bought a RYRIE study Bible which is as close to a KJV as it can be ( My Opinion ) --Iread the KJV on the internet because I can enlarge the print and I am thankful that we are able to so so .

Hello, unfortunately what you say is untrue. I trust that this is a genuine open minded post about what the Bible really says. I will go ahead and contrast what you say vs. what the Bible says in hope that you are seeking the truth.

1. "some of your English translations". The KJV is considered a meticulously accurate translation and is a translation for everyone, not just for some, as implied.

2. "there has been a push". No, there hasn't. Who told you this and do you believe it? The Bible hasn't changed, but some people do.

3. Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

This verse is black and white and 100% clear what it means. You can compare it to other translations and they all say the same thing. It's already translated accurately.

4. "But, that is not what the original Hebrew text says." Yes, it is. Who told you it said something different and do you believe them? Did they have a motive for wanting to make it mean something different?

5. "It is confusing to say the least, the Hebrew text:" No, actually, it's not confusing to others. This is a straightforward translation and the KJV English meaning is exactly the same as the Hebrew meaning. It also says the same thing earlier in Leviticus: Leviticus 18:22 - Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. It also condemns homosexuality in other parts of the Bible. So, what is confusing about it?

6. It does not say "layers of a woman". I'm looking at an interlinear showing the translation with strongs and it does not say your phrase.

7. "I do not know. But it sounds to me that it means a man shouldn't lie down in any woman's bed unless it is the bed he shares with his wife."

It already says exactly what it means. What is your motive for wanting to change it?

According to Jewish law, Herod was committing adultery. That is why John said it is unlawful for you to have your brother's wife.

Leviticus 18:16 says "Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness."

Again in Leviticus 20:21, it says "And if a man shall take his brother's wife, it is an unclean thing: he hath uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall be childless.

The Bible does not allow sex outside of marriage except to raise up an offspring for a deceased family member.

If she has had sex with the groom or boyfriends in the past, then she should not wear white.

It helps very much to have a king james Study Bible, WITH center of page REFERENCE COLUMNS.

The scripture has tiny alphabet letters that match a reference in the column. Make sure you're in the correct chapter.

The reference will point to other scriptures that add more information to the first scripture; sometimes points to a prophesy in the future, or a completed one in the past.

I just keep a notepad and write them all down and then I read them. You get a more complete picture of what was going on.

I have done this study of procreation after the flood. The Bloodline of Jesus Christ was saved on the Ark. His bloodline was to be preserved until His Incarnation on Earth.

People drowned that were human, but unbelievers (or) refused to listen to Noah's warnings to repent and turn back to God..died.

'Inhabitants' (so called by the Bible) were the evil 1/3 of created angels that followed Lucifer and were bannered from heaven and hurled to the earth. They are the inhabitants that lusted after Adams daughters; married them and started families.

Their flesh bodies were drowned in the flood. Their invisible spirits (read Ephesians 6) survived. Not having bodies, they had to take possession of some type of body (animal, insect, aquatic etc), UNTIL they could possess a human that refused to pay attention to the teachings of God.

People have routinely chosen to worship hills, stars, animals like frogs, "golden calves", cats etc.

You see all those examples reading Moses' early life in Egypt.

Satan was still on this earth and Lord over all those invisible demons. He appoints levels of demons. They are the reason that BAD THINGS happen to good people.

In this long list of prohibitions that are of a sexual nature, this forms part of the Law given to Israel as God's Holy people to be separate from the heathen who would live around them & their ways . Many of these prohibitions were actually performed by the Egyptians & others in the land of Canaan & so the warning by God to not only not imitate them but to live holy & decently as His children.

In your example, it would be incest for a father to have relations with his daughter & even though rape is not suggested in Leviticus chap 18, you get that possibility in Deuteronomy 22:25-29 (in another situation), where if that happens & the betrothed girl shouts for help, then she is absolved of any wrong but the man is put to death. If she is not betrothed, then payment is to made & a marriage take place.

In Leviticus chap 18, when we read "uncover their nakedness", it speaks euphemistically about having sexual relations, rather than observing someone naked. The 'uncovering' implies that the intention is to commit further wrong to the other person. In the case of Noah (Genesis chap 9), when his son Ham saw his father exposed after having a few drinks, & he told this to his brothers, the brothers Shem & Japheth discreetly went with a covering to cover their father. However, Ham & his descendants were cursed because of this sin of Ham. So here we see that an intentional observing is wrong, though whether in a family situation or outside, we can be faced with some degree of nudity & its important how we personally deal with it.

Hello, yes, incest, rape, molesting is all sin. A victim isn't guilty of sin. Observing naked family- if accidental I don't believe that's sin, if intentional and if done with lust that is sin. If people are married I believe lust no longer applies to each other since they are united as one. Just offering my opinion. Read scriptures and when in doubt, pray and ask God.

Perhaps I need to read further, because I know that God left no unanswered questions in the Bible. I am currently unable to locate an explanation for the reproduction of humankind after the flood. We know that it's a sin for kinship to fornicate, so with whom did Noah and his family mate, since all of life succumbed to the forty days and forty nights of rainfall? If someone could point toward the book....

This is actually questions pertaining to Leviticus 18. If a father molests his daughter, is it considered incest or, is the father guilty of rape and the daughter innocent of any sin? If you have observed family members naked is this a sin? Should these questions be reserved for a pastor, or at least, one considered an expert on God's word?
