    Michael, good day. The two sons of Noah ie. Seth and Japeth didn't look at their father by not looking , Seth and Japeth showed their father respect and did not sin. They looked away and showed their father respect Japeth and Seth are not an equivalence in behaviour to lots daughters, Lots daughters are infact the opposite. Lots daughters took advantage of their father and had intercourse with him without his consent and bore offspring, their offspring were a product of a sin was my point. Mockery and incestuous relationships are specifically forbidden in Leviticus 18:6-29, or there abouts. It is thought Genesis may have been written after Leviticus, due to references specifically to periods that came after the exodus, which is after Genesis in order. Aside f on that just because it's not written down doesn't mean it's acceptable, the term called Oral laws, very common to most of the World at that time. The dating of books is an ongoing debate. Further Lots daughter s did not commit sodomy it is incest. Sodomy in biblical times referred to anal sex, which could not have made them pregnant, even if that may have been a part of it. Lots daughters offspring do not fair well. We see this in Exodus Amorites verses Moabites. Moab was the son of one of Lots daughters. Hope that helps.

    There are two aspects to consider. First, due to the fallen nature of mankind brought on us by Adam's sin, people have desires for many things that are outside God's will for our lives. We all have what we call a carnal sin nature, or the flesh. Different people have different fleshly desires. Simply to be tempted in our weakness is not sin.

    And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. ( Romans 8:10-14)

    Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren. ( James 1:12-16)

    Our second consideration is the act itself:

    Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. ( Leviticus 18:22)

    This means the LORD finds it repulsive and those who engage in it have rejected God.

    By Ezekiel's time, Israel and Judah had strayed so far from the covenant in flagrant disobedience that the LORD judged the nation, delivering them up to destruction and captivity. Ezekiel 18:26 is part of this judgement.

    For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. ( Galatians 3:10-12)

    In Jesus Christ, though free from condemnation, we are subject to Christ and are accountable to him:

    For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. ( 2 Corinthians 5:10)

    Consequences of sin can be far reaching and ruinous to ourselves and those near and dear to us. Our prime example is David, who to cover his adultery had Uriah killed, then suffered the loss of fellowship with God, lost four children, and endured a bloody insurrection among other consequences. (beginning 2 Samuel 11)

    For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. ( Hebrews 12:6-8)

    Sandra, this matter of homosexuality has been condemned by God throughout the Scriptures. Even before God gave the Law to Israel, which included this matter ( Leviticus 18:22 & verse 23 for bestiality), God had pronounced judgement against Sodom & Gomorrah (Genesis chapters 18 & 19) for their many wicked deeds which included homosexuality. Then in the New Testament of the Bible ( 1 Corinthians 6:9,10), the apostle Paul speaks of the many who can never enter God's Kingdom. But if these people acknowledge that what they do, is sin against God & sincerely repent & turn away from it, then they can truly be forgiven & brought into a holy relationship with God.

    As in generations gone by, much of what the Bible calls SIN, is regarded by people today as of no consequence. So if engaging in homosexual activities gives someone happiness & companionship then why should anyone condemn them, is what they say. But God Who made us, made us male & female & that this union within marriage would reflect God's plan for mankind & be the means of a loving, fruitful relationship that would produce offspring as a result of that love. Any departure from this plan is wrong & God will deal with all those that do it.

    So what about the homosexual saying that that is how I am from birth? Or he becomes one out of his choice or because of a devastating upbringing? Then what about the kleptomaniac who can't help but steal or the prolific liar & deceiver who gives no second thought to his sin? All this is sin & must be acknowledged as such & to be turned away from. Yes, it will be hard for these to exercise discipline & do what is necessary to depart from evil, but when one turns to Jesus & is made new, God's Power will rest upon him & he can be healed.

    When I see a homosexual, I see a person whom God loves & longs that he turn away from his wickedness. No sin is too great that Christ's Sacrifice for them can't fully atone for. But we need to acknowledge it first & the world refuses to do so.

    Homosexuality is one result of the darkness that comes on people that reject God and follow their own imaginations (See Romans chapter 1).

    Repentance and faith in Jesus Christ is the remedy :

    Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.     The LORD calls such practices abomination, which means disgusting. ( Leviticus 18:22)

    In Genesis 18 and 19, the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were judged to be so wicked that the LORD rained brimstone and fire upon them, utterly destroying them. The name sodomite comes from their example. Their destruction is an example to any that would consider living ungodly ( 2 Peter 2:6).

    The bible mentions weddings, but does not give scripture on the way they are to be performed. If it were mentioned then the world would be bound to that method. God establishes governments for his purpose; Ezra 7:25, Titus 3:1. Each government has determined what a marriage ceremony consists of, dealing with each locations laws and customs. As far as I know marriages in one country is recognized by all countries (someone with more knowledge than I might be able to comment on that in depth). The parable of the rich ruler who gave a wedding for his son, mentions a proper wedding garment but does not identify what it is. This parable is more concerned with Christ than earthly weddings but could be applicable. Your question, indicates to me, that you are concerned about a previous marriage and your purity because of it. If your previous husband has died then you are able to remarry Rom 7:2, 1 Cor 7:2-3. If the husband is still living I do not believe that the scripture allows remarriage 1 Cor 7:11.

    The King James Bible was translated by 56 VERY learned scholars, all of whom double checked each other's work VERY extensively. Therefore, it can be concluded that nobody's opinion was interjected into the translation of the King James Bible, but fact and fact alone. Exactly what the Hebrew text of the Old Testament & Greek text of the Textus Receptus, which the New Testament was translated from, say exactly what the King James Bible says, no opinion involved. Don't buy into the lies that are told by the degenerates/reprobates of this day who want to cast doubt in people's minds the veracity of the REAL Bible(KJV 1611).

    Looking at them naked? I do not think so...

    This would easily make sense of this was the step mom of Ham.

    I've always believed we should ask the Lord what He thinks? One of the good ones was Healing The Sick by TL Osborne. I actually got healed reading a couple of chapters! If the Lord says it's useful I do not judge the writer.

    He had to sit on me many times to squash that judgmental attitude out of me :/

    Arthur had an understanding that is awesome and very much speaks to this days people. He wouldn't teach error for all the gold in...in....in....who's got gold? Ok then, tea in China. Most likely his books won't be on the shelves at half-price books.

    He said the USA would do something so bad that the whole world would SHUN us. That was 50 yrs ago, folks. Arthur is still talkin.

But I have been wondering why the physical appearance, especially the facial features, of some groups of people have some close semblance to other creatures. Please, do not get offended, I genuinely want answers: Consider also the Australian Aborigenes, the Red Indians, Mogolians, Greenlandics, people from Siberia, etc. Please, I do not intend to disrespect anyone. I am speaking from my naive observation and would like to have explanations, if possible.

    Paul also wrote that "the Law is not of faith: But the man that doeth them shall live in them" ( Galatians 10:12); quoted from Leviticus 18:5. And Paul immediately reminds us that "Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree" ( Galatians 10:13) quoted from Deuteronomy 21:23. Those that hang on trees have transgressed the Law. Paul uses two passages from the Law to show us that we cannot live without the Law?

    James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

    The words of Jesus confirm the 10 Commandments found in the books of the LAW, Exodus 20:1-17, Luke 10:27.

    The only people that do not NEED the Law are those that are not sinning. No matter how righteous we may think we are, we all sin every day and are made new (every day) through repentance and forgiveness.

    Just because we have been brought to Christ does not mean that we cannot fall away again.

    Whoever the person is that you're sinning with, cut them off from your life, so you can live for Christ. It's not worth the the trouble. Satan is after your inheritance, and soul.Look up Scriptures on fornication, inheritance, and the Kingdom of God. Those who practice such things-fornication, adultery,sorcery, etc shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.

    1 Corinthians 10:8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

    The stakes are high for our souls, the souls in our bloodline, and if the devil through his witchcraft/sorcery agents can manipulate your mind & emotions through their love/lust spells they can get you to open the door into the bloodline to claim the inheritance.You wonder why so many people still are enslaved, live in poverty, are uneducated, etc. Someone gave the devil's agents access.     Barbara, there is severe punishment ( Hell Fire) if the person does turn from their evil ways, and turn to the living God and ask for forgiveness for their sins that they have committed, God is merciful and will forgive that person if they will turn to the Almighty God and repent of their evil ways.

    Noah and his family lived and died before the laws in Leviticus were put into place so they would not have been breaking any laws by procreating with near kin at that time would be my understanding.
