Hebrews 9:10
Precious friends, since God is "not the author of Confusion" 1 Corinthians 14:33, Would He not "Have The Biblical Answer" to all The denominational Confusion {I found 10 'Different water baptismal traditions' today...}? Please Be Encouraged And Edified!
Part 1
{Borrowed from 12 baptisms "study"} ONE of Israel's various {divers} washings! Greek: Baptismos = Hebrews 9:10:
4. Levitical priesthood baptism Exodus 29:4Leviticus 8:6Numbers 8:7. This washing was The Second Requirement { The First being: "NO blemish!" Leviticus 21:21 }, in order to become a priest under the Law of Moses! Is this baptism in any way connected To baptism # 9?:
9. "water" baptism of repentance that John preached (Before The Cross), And Peter continued (After The Cross!), to preach! Matthew 3:5-6Mark 1:4Luke 3:3John 1:31Luke 7:29-30Acts 10:37Matthew 28:19Mark 16:16Acts 2:38Acts 22:16Ezekiel 36:25.
a) Does this baptism "save" anyone Luke 7:29-30?
b1) Is this baptism in any way "connected" to baptism # 4?
b2) Wasn't John preparing National Israel for God's Promise For them "to be a nation of priests unto God" Exodus 19:6?
b3) Was not The Second Requirement for priesthood induction, Washing? { may require re-review of baptism #4! }.
b4) Did not CHRIST And The Twelve "heal" everyone in Israel who came to them, in order to meet "The FIRST Requirement" For the priesthood, that Of "NO blemish!"? Matthew 4:24Acts 5:16 cp Leviticus 21:21
Semi - conclusion? God {has Not 10 baptismS Today, but ONLY} ONE Baptism = Confusion SOLVED! And "PEACE {Not Confusion} In ALL the churches!" 1 Corinthians 14:33 Amen? Link

Part 2 More baptism questions for today's water adherents:
9. "water" baptism of repentance:
c) Is this baptism "for today"? IF this baptism is For us Today, we have Several More Questions:
c1) Why does No one Today, "teach, as John ( Under The LAW! ), Claimed": it is For "making CHRIST Manifest To Israel" John 1:31?
c2) Why does {Almost} No one Today, "Confess their sins," when they come to water baptism Matthew 3:6Mark 1:5?
c3) Why do not ALL Divided "denominations who Water baptize" today, agree As ONE, And "teach" water as John, CHRIST, And The Twelve ( Under The LAW! ), "taught" That "water baptism Is For The Remission Of sins!" Mark 1:4Luke 3:3Acts 2:38 { instead of each one's own "symbolic Re-Interpreted Traditions!" }?
10. Baptism Of Anointing?: Pentecostal Spirit baptism; This is the baptism "WITH" The Holy Spirit, BY JESUS CHRIST, From Heaven, Poured Out Upon the believing remnant of Israel with signs and powers following. Isaiah 44:3Matthew 3:11Mark 1:8Mark 16:17-18Luke 24:49Acts 2:17-18Acts 2:38Acts 8:15-17Acts 11:16.
And, is not This The THIRD Requirement For "priesthood induction" = Anointing? Compare Exodus 29:7Leviticus 8:10-12.
Is God Performing "This" Baptism On us TODAY? IF so, Why NO "signs and powers"?
Conclusion: IF any water adherent, today, Under GRACE, believes he/she has been water baptized into the 'Israeli priesthood,' is he/she Absolutely Sure he/she Has Met The other Two Requirements Of God? IF he/she has Not "met them," then does not The Following apply To us Today?:
God Superseded Two baptisms, Under Law, With ONE Baptism, Under GRACE! Link
Further Note: Paul, in Romans through Philemon, has No doctrine of 'priesthood' for The Body Of CHRIST, Under GRACE, Today, hmm...

Precious brother Chris. So glad you brought up: "'Law Administration' is difficult to comprehend when water baptism was not part of the Law to Israel (except concerning the priesthood as a ritual cleansing)." In regards to this, you may find the following "view of Israel's priesthood" Very Interesting - thanks for your careful/prayerful consideration:
{Borrowed from my 12 baptisms "study"}: ONE of Israel's various washings! Greek: Baptismos = ( Hebrews 9:10):
4. Levitical priesthood baptism ( Exodus 29:4) ( Leviticus 8:6) ( Numbers 8:7). This washing was The Second Requirement { The First being: "NO blemish!" ( Leviticus 21:21) }, in order to become a priest under the Law of Moses! Is this baptism in any way connected To baptism # 9?:
9. "water" baptism of repentance that John preached (Before The Cross), And Peter continued (After The Cross!), to preach! ( Matthew 3:5-6) ( Mark 1:4) ( Luke 3:3) ( John 1:31) ( Luke 7:29-30) ( Acts 10:37) ( Matthew 28:19) ( Mark 16:16) ( Acts 2:38) ( Acts 22:16) ( Ezekiel 36:25).

access through a mans heart is only successful when He has knowledge of it! You cannot enter without His permission! When, one tries to control the heart of another, and that person knows it! It will only make him stronger. Stronger in faith and the knowledge that he has been chosen to serve the one who has died for Him. awake! your redemption draws nigh!
Leviticus 8:30 actually says, "And Moses took of the anointing oil, and of the blood which was upon the altar, and sprinkled it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon his sons' garments with him; and sanctified Aaron, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons' garments with him."
Maybe you're getting that information from some other source. It says that Moses took the anointing oil & the blood (of the animal that was sacrificed) & sprinkled those elements upon Aaron & his son's garments to sanctify (set apart) them for their office. If you read further in the Scriptures, you'll see that Aaron & his sons lived on for a long time after that sanctifying work.
WE ARE AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST on Romans 14 - 3 years ago
A Ministry of PRAYER
2 Corinthians 5:18-21
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION: to wit, that God was in Christ, RECONCILING the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us THE WORD of reconciliation. Now then WE ARE AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST, as though God did beseech you by us: WE PRAY YOU in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Hebrews 2:17
Wherefore in all things it behoved him (Jesus) to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make RECONCILIATION for the sins of the people.
Ezekiel 45:15
And one lamb out of the flock, out of two hundred, out of the fat pastures of Israel; for a meat offering, and for a burnt offering, and for peace offerings, to make RECONCILIATION for them, saith the Lord GOD.
Daniel 9:24
.....to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make RECONCILIATION for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Leviticus 8:15
And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make RECONCILIATION upon it.
2 Chronicles 29:24
And the priests killed them (animals), and they made RECONCILIATION with their blood upon the altar, to make an atonement for all Israel: for the king commanded that the burnt offering and the sin offering should be made for ALL Israel.
Comment: We are priests through Jesus. Our prayer life is important. We are bold through His righteousness. Be strong and faithful to pray.
To understand Acts 10:38, we need to look at the event it refers to, i.e. Matthew 3:13-17.
Three Questions: Why was Jesus baptized? Why did the Holy Spirit come upon Him? Why did God speak from Heaven?
1. Jesus didn't need water baptism ( Mt 3:15) as that baptism by John was for a demonstration of one's acknowledgement & repentance for sins (not like Believers' Baptism today which is identification with the death & resurrection of Christ). John himself said that it was he that needed Jesus's baptism, which was not a water baptism but a spiritual one ( Mt 3:11).
2. Jesus didn't need the Holy Spirit to come upon Him or in Him - he was sinless, filled with the Divine in the womb, birthed from God's Seed without human contribution & using Mary as the vehicle to bring His Son into the world with flesh & blood. Jesus was later tempted by Satan to sin & to receive a sin nature but He withstood him with the Word of God, His Own Authority.
3. God could have remained silent during this time, but He chose to speak from Heaven.
What do these events tell us? It was the inauguration of Jesus' Ministry on Earth taking Him all the way to the Cross. His baptism identified Him in His priestly role ( Exodus 29:4, Leviticus 8:6) through priestly washing & also pointed in a faint manner, His prophesied death & resurrection, to which all who put their trust in Him would replicate by identification.
Then two more confirmations from Heaven for the benefit of those around to Jesus' Life & Work: the Spirit descended upon Him confirming His priestly position through an anointing ( Exodus 29:7, Leviticus 8:12) & God's verbal confirmation of Who Jesus is & acceptance of His position & work, as was in the days of Moses & Aaron ( Exodus 29:42-46).
Jesus came to fulfil a high priestly role that no earthly high priest could fulfil ( Hebrews 7:11-28) & all that took place at the Jordan, pointed to Jesus as sent from Heaven to make full payment for sin - no priest could ever do that.
Moses is the writer of the first five books in the Bible. He is a type of Christ. He was God's rep to Israel. He appeared with Jesus on the mount of Transfiguration..The law came by Moses, grace and truth by Jesus Christ. Not enough room or time to answer your question fully. But study the life of Moses and and I hope you get saved if you're not. God bless you.
Every soul that is born into flesh is soiled by the filth of wickedness and sin. And if it should seem necessary to do so, there may be added to the aforementioned considerations [referring to previous Scriptures cited that we all sin] the fact that in the Church, Baptism is given for the remission of sin; and according to the usage of the Church, Baptism is given even to infants. And indeed if there were nothing in infants which required a remission of sins and nothing in them pertinent to forgiveness, the grace of Baptism would seem superfluous. (Homilies on Leviticus 8:3)
The Church received from the Apostles the tradition of giving Baptism even to infants. For the Apostles, to whom were committed the secrets of divine mysteries, knew that there is in everyone the innate stains of sin, which must be washed away through water and the Spirit.
Cyprian of Carthage (c. 250 AD):
If, in the case of the worst sinners and of those who formerly sinned much against God, when afterwards they believe, the remission of their sins is granted and no one is held back from Baptism and grace, how much more, then, should an infant not be held back, who, having but recently been born, has done no sin [committed no personal sin], except that, born of the flesh according to Adam, he has contracted the contagion of that old Death from his first being born. (Letters 64:5 of Cyprian and his 66 colleagues in Council to Fidus)
It is the anointing that makes the difference. O Lord anoint me for holiness sanctification in Jesus' name because without holiness, no one will see the Lord.
To me,Aaron took over from Moses because of Moses lack of willingness, where as Aaron though in the future failed, just like any other person, but he is always willing in heart to carry out tasks assigned him. So Aaron's character would be duplicated in his descendants after him.
Lev.8:7 - "And he put upon him the coat,.....and clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod upon him ....."; The garments that the high priest wore reflected his role as the symbol of Jesus our savior. The coat represented the MAN Jesus; the robe represented the DIVINE Jesus, and the ephod represented his giving of Himself as a sinless sacrifice. The ephod had the names of ALL God's people.
I want to bring the attention of your readers to Leviticus Chapter 8:22-23. Moses under the anointing and unction of the holy spirit consecrated Aaron and his son with the blood. He symbolically anointing our High priest Jesus Christ hwwen christ was on the cross, the blood that came down from his head after the thorns were placed on his head, down to the tip of his ears. When he was sword went into his side, the blood came down from his sides and landed on his toes as we saw Moses did to Aaron and his son. Amazing how God demonstrated the action on the cross as far as then. compare the anointing of Aaron and his son with the the events on the cross. Leviticus 8:23 "And he slew it and Moses took of the blood of it, and put it upon the tip of Aaron 's right ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot "
What I have learnt from Leviticus Chapter 8 is that during Moses reign blood was used as a sin offering to get forgiveness. After Jesus shed His Blood , animals ' blood was no longer necessary. Jesus paid the price for all sins with His Blood.
Leviticus Chapter 8 teaches many things. It teaches that during Moses reign rituals were constant. There were rituals for peace offerings, quilt offerings, sin offerings, burnt offerings, grain offerings. Blood from goats and sheep was shed to accomodate these offerings. Today these rituals are not necessary because Jesus Christ has shed His Blood for the atonement of all sins and blood sacrifices. He has paid the penalty for His chosen people and the Gentiles. it also teaches that Moses was obedient to God when he implemented all the offerings to the Lord. it is also to be noted that blood was used to sanctify the alter. Today prayer has been used for sanctification instead of the shedding of blood. The Lord Jesus has paid for it by His Blood.Thank you Jesus.
Rosetta If you look at chapter 7 33 34 theses verses also refer to the right leg. In verse 34, it is refered to along with the breast portion. This leads me to believe reference is made to the "shoulder " portion of the animal which is close to the breast also attached to a leg . I hope this helps.
II is obvious that we should give our very best to the Lord i.e. service, offering, dedication and faithfulness. When we do this, we should not boast or brag about what we do but do it for God to get the glory.
In some versions of King James of Leviticus 8:25 the right thigh is referenced and the right shoulder in other translations. These are clearly different parts of the animal. What is the correct translation/inteprtation?
